Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the mediating effect of professionalism in the relationship between clinical competence and field adaptation in newly graduated nurses. Methods: The participants in this study were 213 nurses from four tertiary hospitals who had less than 12 months of nursing experience. Data were collected during January and February, 2013. A structured questionnaire was used for data collection and data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, and path analysis with the SPSS/WIN 21.0 and AMOS 21.0 programs. Results: The mean score for clinical competence was $2.85{\pm}0.25$, for professionalism, $3.10{\pm}0.30$, and for field adaptation, $2.79{\pm}0.37$. There was a significant positive relationship between clinical competence and field adaptation. Also, professionalism was positively correlated with field adaptation. Professionalism showed mediating effects between clinical competence and field adaptation. Improvement of clinical competence increased professionalism and the increased professionalism raised the field adaptation. Conclusion: Based on these findings, orientation programs including strategies to increase professionalism, should be established to promote effective field adaptation in newly graduated nurses. These orientation programs can strengthen professionalism, the mediator between clinical competence and field adaptation in newly graduated nurses.

The sand play therapy showed a clinical treatment effect to such children with lots of problem behaviors at the previous studies. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical effect to emotional and behavioral problems with 20 adolescents after 10 weeks group sand play therapy. After sand play therapy, the subjects showed a significant effect such that the MMPI depression scale score, somatic symptoms complaints, social discomfort, psychomotor retardation, somatic dysfunction, affection desire, bizarre sensation experience, shyness/self-consciousness were decreased from baseline to 10 weeks of the study. We suspected that the sand play caused to clinical effect to physical problems as well as emotional problems of the adolescents with school maladaptation.

In this study, we examine the effects of five needs satisfaction on job satisfaction and turnover intention based on Maslow's hierarchy of needs for clinical nurses. Also, this was a convergence study that confirmed the mediating effect of job satisfaction on the relationship between need satisfaction and turnover intention. The participants were 239 clinical nurses at a general hospital located in Seoul. The collected data were analyzed for mediating effects using hierarchical regression analysis and PROCESS Macro (Model 4). Physiological and safety needs did not have a significant effect on job satisfaction while belongingness, esteem, and self-actualizations need had a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. On the other hand, physiological and esteem needs had a significant negative effect on turnover intention. In addition, the mediating effect of job satisfaction was significant in the relationship between need satisfaction (physiological, safety, belongingness, and self-actualization needs) and turnover intention. We confirm that an increase in the satisfaction of the five needs of clinical nurses can reduce their turnover intention. Therefore, we suggest that it is necessary to effectively manage need satisfaction and job satisfaction in the clinical field.

This study examined satisfaction with clinical training according to school system and school-related characteristics and analyzed the effect of satisfaction by clinical training task on the overall satisfaction with clinical training. Participants were convenience sampled from students of K University in Gangwon-do (n=279) and K University in Gyeonggi-do (n=154) who have undergone clinical training. The overall satisfaction with clinical training in dental hygiene students differed according to the school system, school-related characteristics, satisfaction by clinical training topic, and satisfaction by clinical training task. Satisfaction by clinical training task had an effect on overall satisfaction with clinical training. Thus, substantial effort, such as ensuring appropriate contents and methods of training.

Objectives : This study was undertaken in order to establish clinical application of Taegeuk acupuncture treatment by Sasang(4-type) Constitutional medicine. Methods : 1. Dr. Lee Byung-haeng suggested nine applications of Taegeuk acupuncture treatment of Soyang(lesser Yang) type men. 2. The author summarized the application of Taegeuk acupuncture treatment gathered by clinical experience. 3. The author researched the effect of Taegeuk acupuncture on patients after treatment. Results & Conclusions : 1. Taegeuk acupuncture treatment is effective against psychogenic disease. 2. Taegeuk acupuncture treatment is effective against autonomic nervous system dysfunction(For example, blood circulation disorder, etc.) and has an effect on recovery from sub-health. 3. The author conclude that Taegeuk acupuncture treatment for incurable diseases or diseases of unknown etiology needs a further clinical study in the future.

Two Shih-Tzu dogs with atopic dermatitis presented with delayed periocular dermatitis (PD) following the instillation of dorzolamide and dorzolamide/timolol combination eyedrops; the development of dermatologic signs took 94 and 104 d in cases 1 and 2, respectively. Hypersensitivity to anti-glaucoma eyedrops was highly suspected, and treatment was discontinued. Delayed PD was significantly relieved in cases 1 and 2, at days 155 and 64 after discontinuation, respectively. In this study, the clinical characteristics and progression of delayed PD were described to inform clinicians who may encounter this rare side effect.

This study was aimed to analyze factors affecting intention on clinical application by task autonomy of dental hygienists, expected effect and obstructive factor on clinical application of assessment, dental hygiene diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation (ADPIE). Meanwhile, it proved mediating effects of "attitude toward ADPIE" when it came to "intention on clinical application". The data was collected from 237 dental personnel in capital region from March 28, 2014 to May 2, 2014. To analyze the suitability of a theoretical model and hypothesis testing, SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 18.0 program were used. The theoretical model was accepted as it resulted in ${\chi}^2=421.67$ while showing goodness of fit index=0.858, comparative fit index=0.915, Tucker-Lewis index=0.896, root mean square residual=0.039, and root mean square error of approximation=0.099. The result showed "task autonomy of dental hygienists (${\beta}=0.398$, p<0.05)" and "expected effect on ADPIE (${\beta}=0.363$, p<0.01)" had a positive effect on "attitude toward ADPIE". Also, "attitude toward ADPIE" had a positive effect on "intention on clinical application". In addition, "task autonomy of dental hygienists" and "expected effect on ADPIE" had an indirect influence on "intention on clinical application" via such intermediary as "attitude toward ADPIE". According to the above results, the task autonomy of dental hygienists, expected effect on ADPIE, and attitude toward ADPIE were confirmed to be significant factors when it came to the intention on its clinical application. Therefore in order to settle ADPIE in the clinical practice, improvement of task autonomy for dental hygienists as well as their expectation and attitude on ADPIE must be promoted.

Methods: Two Tourette's Disorder cases were managed with the Yinyang Balancing Appliance on temporomandibular joint (TMJ), combined with acupuncture. Clinical outcome measurement was based on subjective measures and clinical observations. Results: The patients showed positive changes even after the initial treatment and this effect maintained over the follow-up period. Conclusions: Although it is not clear the effect is a sustaining or temporary in its nature, a positive effect was observed and further clinical and biological research on FCST is expected.
