직장남성의 추구이미지에 따른 패션스타일 표현요소 연구 (A Study on the Expression Elements of Fashion Styles according to the Pursuit Image Types of the Male Office Worker)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive the type of image pursued by men at work and to present the fashion style element as a method of expressing the image to be pursued. The was carried out by deriving the types of seeking images of men at work through literature research and questionnaire on seeking images and analyzing cases through FGI. The results of the study on fashion style elements for each type of image pursued are as follows. First, the reliable image appeared a gentle and formal fashion style, and colors and items were identified as the main elements of expression. Second, the refined image appeared in a chic and dandy fashion style, and colors, fabrics and items reflecting trends were identified as the main elements of expression. Third, the neat image was identified as a simple and minimal fashion style, and details, fabrics, and colors were identified as the main elements of expression. Fourth, the luxurious image was found to have an intellectual feeling in a classic fashion style, and color and material are the main elements of expression. Fifth, the dignified image appeared in a fashion style that was well-dressed and felt classy and heavy, and colors, patterns, and items were identified as the main elements of expression. Sixth, the energetic image emerged as a business casual style, except sporty or active functional styles, with overall comfortable and cheerful feeling, fit, color, and items were noted as the main elements of expression.

여성 의복스타일이 인상형성에 미치는 영향 - 지각자 특성을 중심으로 - (The Effects of Women's Clothing Styles on the Impression Formation -Focusing on the Characteristics of the Perceiver-)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate whether characteristics of the perceiver make differences in impressions of clothing types in the situation of first impression formation. Questionnaire was used as major method of gathering data. A poll of 650 men h women between the ages of 20∼39 living in Daegu was taken by the author for this study. Factor analysis, cluster analysis, frequency, ANOVA-test and t-test were implemented with the SPSS-package. The characteristics of clothing types used in our experiments include: sexy, masculine, feminine, dramatic, elegant-classic and casual. The results are as follows; 1 . Men favored sexy clothes more than women, whereas women tended to like masculine clothes more than men. 2. Positive, open-minded men were accepting of masculine, feminine, dramatic and elegant-classic clothes, but gave unfavorable responses toward casual clothes. In contrast, positive open-minded women continued to show unfavorable impressions of sexy clothes. Attitude towards clothing affected the outlook towards clothing by the perceiver 3. Clothing-dependent/vain men favored sexy, dramatic and elegant-classic clothes, while clothing-indifferent men tended toward casual clothes. Furthermore, clothing-dependent/vain women were interested in the feminine style, but women in general continued to show negative responses toward sexy and dramatic clothes.

  • 성서의 내용 중에서 청소년들에게 선교용으로 알맞은 성구를 택하여 그 요지를 효과적으로 전달하기 위한 디자인 적 차원에서의 방법을 연구한다. 특히 인물 또는 주제의 표정, 의상, 동작의 reality 와 배경, 환경의 reality를 시대를 다르게 처리함으로써 classic과 contemporary한 것의 조화, 즉 과거 속의 현재, 현재에서의 과거를 초현실적 스타일로 강조하며 성구는 일러스트레이션과 한눈에 들어올 수 있도록 연결 감 있게 배치하여 단독매체로서의 포스터, 카드 등에 적용 가능한 사례를 개발함으로써 선교의 기능을 띤 성화와 성구를 함께 사용한 새로운 스타일의 일러스트레이션을 개발한다.

  • This paper tried to identify recognition and historical background about western table decoration. For the study, the documentary study would be accomplished. the range of time was during Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, and Neo-classic period, and the range of space was among Italy, France, and England. Styles for example architectures, interior designs, arts, and sculptures represented their own period, and had great influences on eating habits, and the eating habits would be influent on kitchen utensils. As a results of the fact, the structural elements and decoration of table would be showed different characteristics according to periods of time. Today's food cultural trends consisted of consumption, taste, sense, and consumers' demands become diversified, so the paper would be an important data to understand new designs proper for our own modem sense that cope with modem feeling.

국내 파티웨어 산업 현황과 파티유형별 드레스 스타일 분석 (Party Wear Industry Conditions in Korea and the Analysis of Dress Style According to Party Types)

  • Young people have got to like 'party' and 'attending parties' is considered 'reflection of trendy lifestyle' nowadays. The more party experiences they have, the more party wear styles get various and detail. They want different styles for the next party and it stimulates designers to create something new. We now realize that the party has become popular with an increased market demand for party wear. In addition, we analyze dress styles according to party types to suggest a new dress style to satisfy consumer needs. We suggest two ways to research party wear industry conditions in Korea. Off-line shop managers need to offer practical and various designs for a good price according to party types that make distinctions between on-line and off-line shops. On-line shop managers need to use better materials and develop better service. Considering an analysis of dress style according to party types, an elegant style is good for a formal dinner party and an evening party. A romantic style is good for a season party (such as a New Year's party, a Valentines party and a Christmas party) and a chic style is good for a music party (such as a classic party, jazz party and pop-era party). In addition, the result of a dress style analysis according to party types can be used for the tip for the development of designs to come in the party wear market as well as for a dress style guide to the partiers.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the style of Marlene Dietrich who was a Hollywood legend in 1930s and has influenced on modern fashion. The characteristics of Dietrich style showed androgyny, sensualism and exoticism. Dietrich has been famous for wearing tailored pantsuit on and off-screen with mannish gesture and had great effect on women's wearing pants. Her confident, sexy mannish style represented her androgyny glamourously and proved she had a taste for a classic. Her sensualism focused on her famous legs because she understood the sex appeal of woman's legs. She showed her legs by wearing pants and decorative stockings, or matching colors of stockings and shoes to make her legs look longer and sexier by illusion. Her exoticism against a backdrop of black and white image, was presented with luxurious, sensual fabrics such as furs, feathers and velvet, along with dazzling accessaries. Also she didn't forget to manipulate angles of camera and lights for the engraving figure of her own. Her charisma directed her fashion image in detail and made herself a fashion icon in 1930s.

빅토리아 시대의 식문화와 테이블 세팅 요소에 관한 연구 (Study for the Direction of Dining Space in the Age of Queen Victoria)

  • The age of Queen Victoria, so called nearly 64 years from 1837 to 1901 that Queen Victoria was on the throne. It was the time that ceramicwares and silverwares were mass-produced thanks to the Industrial Revolution and then diverse directions of dining space could be possible in middle class. At the same time, it was the time that the production of bone china, which is main current in modem times, became established, ironstone china began to be developed, and white ceramic wares were accomplished. In addition, factors for the direction of dining space were mass-produced and Gothic style, Classic style, Majolica style, Renaissance, and Neo-rococo style had come back into fashion. Therefore, diverse designs coexisted and had great effect on dining space in this times. This study purposed to establish the decoration theory of dining space following historic flow through researching the designs and the direct factors for dining space in the age of Queen Victoria.

20세기말과 21세기초에 나타난 여성 웨딩코디네이션 비교 (A Comparison of Woman's Wedding Coordination between the End of 20th and the Beginning of 21st Century)

  • The aim of this study was to compare and contrast the changes in wedding coordination between the end of 20th and the beginning 21st centuries. one wedding magazine was selected and used to supply data. four hundred and thirty one wedding photos were examined from a popular wedding magazine called "My Wedding", issued between 1993 and 2007. the results are described below. First, changes in make-up and hair style: from the end of 20th to the beginning of 21 st centuries, the style of make-up changed from being exaggerated with strong colors which made the typical brides make-up to utilizing the minimal color selection which made natural-looking. the hair style has also changed from up style to natural hair style. Second, changes in wedding gowns: the style of wedding gowns changed from the shapes of X line which was to cover the body figure of bride to simple shapes such as an strapless and fish-tail style of gowns. Third, changes in wedding jewelry and accessories: hair pieces consisted of large flower crowns and hair bands with flowers in the end of 20th century. the various sizes and colors of tiaras and crowns were popular in the beginning of 21 st century. for wedding accessories, large shapes of earrings and necklaces were popular at the end of 20th century, whereas various size and styles were more fashionable later on. in conclusion, brides in the beginning of 21 st century prefer to wear sexy or alluring dresses with natural hair styles and make-up, in contrast to the classic or traditional wedding outfits that were more popular at the end of 20th century.

18세기부터 19세기까지 여성 복식스타일에 나타난 장식에 관한 연구 (A study on the Decoration of Women's costume style from the 18th century to the 19th century)

  • This study aims at looking into women's costume style seen in 18th century to 19th century, and reason out a major decoration, then the formative and aesthetic characteristics of the decoration were analyzed. Research results are same as follows. Firstly, the style of women's costumes in the 18th and 19th century includes the Rococo style, Polonaise style, Neo-classic style, Romantic style and Bustle-style. The main decorations shown in these styles are the gather pleats drape of Fold decoration, the flat embroidery quilting of embroidery decoration, and the ribbon braid fringe button feather and fur of attachment decoration. Secondly, the analyzed results found the formative and aesthetic characteristics of the decoration in the 18th and 19th century women's costumes. Fold decorations appeared as a voluminous property in the form of gown mantua jacket pelisse and dress. Especially, femininity and exaggeration were expressed through greatly inflated skirts. Embroidery decoration appeared as planarity by making patterns of gown mantua jacket stomacher overskirt coat dress shawl and dolman. Especially, exaggeration and extravagance were expressed through embroidered mantua surfaces with peony rose poppy primrose daffodil morning glory tulip leaf and lattice patterns in variety of colored silk threads. Attachment decorations were mixed with elements of heterogeneity added to jackets, coats, gowns, petticoats, stomachers, mantuas, pelisses, mantles, dolmans, capes, overskirts and dresses. In particular, exaggeration and extravagance strongly expressed through the decoration with white fox fur at the hemline, neckline and sleeves of cream colored silk dolman.

미국 후기 신고전주의적 조경양식 특성 - 파란드의 덤바튼 오크(Dumbarton Oaks) 분석을 중심으로 - (The Characteristics of the Late Neoclassical Style in American Gardens - Focused on the analysis of Dumbarton Oaks by Beatrix Farrand -)

  • 본 연구는 미국의 대표적인 여류 조경가인 비트릭스 파란드의 덤바튼 오크의 정원분석을 통하여, 파란드의 작품경향 및 미국 1900년대 초의 신고전주의 양식의 특성을 파악하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석 결과, 덤바튼 오크는 유럽의 고전주의 양식의 무조건적인 모방이 아닌, 아트 앤 크래프트의 기본철학을 배경으로 미국의 지역적 특성과 주변환경 및 문화에 맞게 해석하고 적용된 성공적인 사례라고 할 수 있다. 덤바튼 오크의 분석을 통해 도출한 미국 후기 신고전주의 양식의 특성은 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 첫째, 여러 개의 가든룸이 연속적으로 이어진 정원공간은 다양한 지면의 높이를 갖는 테라스로 구성되어 있으며, 자연적 지형을 최대한 이용하였다. 둘째, 정형성과 비정형성의 공존, 대칭 및 의도적인 비대칭의 조화이다. 셋째, 식재선택 및 재식방법에 있어서도 유럽 고전주의 양식과 영국의 아트 앤 크래프트 양식이 공존하며, 공간구성 및 형태와 조화되도록 하였다.
