The theme of this study is holistic healing environment of children's library and it was researched on the basis of anthroposophy theory of Rudolf Steiner. According to Steiner's theory, human being consists of body, spirit, and soul. Especially, children are sensitive ones, and through synthetic function of 12 kinds of senses, they can be holistically healed (healing of body, spirit, and soul). As the sense independently functions or it is a element that cannot be described, it needs spatial plan to support synthetic function of it. We classified the healing space's meaning of children library by motion (including art and music), reading, & landscape healing activities and analyzed spatial characteristic to support each activity.

국내의 대다수 공공도서관은 지역사회의 다양한 이용계층에게 웹서비스를 제공하기 위하여 홈페이지를 구축 운영하고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 차세대 지식기반사회를 주도해야 할 지역대표도서관의 아동서비스용 웹사이트는 부실하고 아동의 정보접근 및 이용행태를 충분히 반영하지 못하며, 그 요체인 콘텐트도 매우 취약하다. 이에 본 연구는 국내 광역시도의 대표도서관을 대상으로 아동서비스를 위한 웹사이트의 구축현황, 인터페이스와 디자인, 검색서비스, 콘텐트를 분석하고 대안을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to elicit the planning factors for the embodiment of sense of place in public library. This study analyzes qualitatively the good places where the children seek for and evaluate in children's library. The primary method of survey in this study is the caption evaluation. The survey is conducted in libraries of three types. In the caption evaluation, children take good places into photograph by themselves and are asked for reasons, features and physical characteristics for the pictures on good places. Through the study of the preceding studies, this study takes four analysis frames, Path, Occupancy Place, Edge and Mark. According to four analysis frames, the principal features, physical characteristics and the examples in libraries of domestic and foreign country are put in order. The meanings of this study are summarized as followings; presenting the method of user's positive evaluation, studying the sense of place in children's view point, and presenting the interrelation pattern for embodiment of the rich sense of place.

This study examined the arrangement features in public library infant and children's reading room and provide basic material in after children's reading room space planning by studying the space features, which are valued in the environment behavioral point of view. We limited the check list to libraries built after year 2000 that are located around Seoul and from 5 libraries with children reading rooms. After analyzing items by the space features, considering children's environment behavior, pleasantness was most favorable, children scale, safety, comfortableness, flexibility followed in order. It shows the basic surroundings and the furniture that composes the children's reading room are relatively favorable, but in the other hand, it seems that reading rooms lack the ability to form an environment that can adapt to children's growth, inducting new activity areas flexibly or rearrange them. there are limitations to getting the children's needs objectively and significantly, so survey research, interview research and not only studying Korean's but comparing and analyzing with foreign country's cases will be needed.

본 연구에서는 어린이 사서의 전문성과 어린이서비스 중 프로그램 운영 사이에 어떤 상관관계가 있는지 조사하였다. 문헌조사를 기초로 어린이 사서의 전문성은 6가지 영역으로 구성하고 프로그램 운영은 기획과 진행으로 나누어, 공공도서관 어린이서비스 담당 사서 262명(응답률 58%)을 대상으로 이메일 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 어린이 프로그램 기획은 어린이 사서 전문성의 모든 영역과 상관관계가 있었으며, 프로그램 진행은 전문성 계발을 포함한 3가지 영역에 속한 역량과 관련성이 있었다. 이와 같은 결과는 어린이 사서의 전문성 강화 및 어린이 프로그램 활성화 방안 마련을 위한 근거로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of present study is to investigate children's attitude toward reading, reading method, reading environment, reading volume, and then to compare the results obtained by sex, area and grade. The tool used in this survey was a questionaire designed specially by the investigator. The questionaire was distributed to 1339 children selected at the descretion of the investigator with due consideration of sex, area(large city, medium city and rural community) and grade (from 2nd grade of primary school to 2nd year of middle school). The results of this study are summerized as follows : 1) Regional difference was observed in respect of the followiug : Awareness on reading, motivation for reading, reading method, activity after reading, number of books collected, reading guidance, how to obtain books to read, monthly reading volume, and reading tendency. 2) Also difference by grade was observed in respcet of the following ; Activity after reading, reading guidance, monthly reading volume and reading tendency. The following conclusions have been made based on the results of the survey: 1) The children's attitude toward reading and reading method may be considered favorable while reading environment is not satisfactory yet. Especially, reading environment of school children in medium cities and rural communities is worse than that of large cities. 2) No difference by sex was observed in respect of attitudes toward reading, reading method, reading environment and reading volume while difference by sex was observed in respect of reading tendency. The followings are recommended based on the results of survey: 1) To establish and carry out a comprehensive program for the improvement of reading environment of the school children in medium cities and rural communities. 2) To improve and substantiate school library facilities and design a proper guidance program to have children utilize school library to the maximum extent. 3) To contemplate on the consolidated measures for reading behavior survey.

본 연구는 도서관의 어린이 서비스에 대한 연구가 앞서 활발하게 진행된 북미와 우리나라의 연구동향을 비교 분석하여, 향후 우리나라 문헌정보학계의 연구주제 및 연구방향에 대한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 학위논문의 분석기간은 1981년부터 2010년까지 30년이며, 한국은 110편, 북미는 89편의 논문을 분석하였다. 학위논문의 초록을 보고 학위논문의 주제를 자료, 서비스, 프로그램, 경영 및 관리, 어린이 행태, 이론 및 역사 등 6가지로 나누어 세부주제별로 다시 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 연도별 학위논문 생산량으로 한국은 최근 연구가 급증하였으며, 북미는 학위논문의 생산이 일정하였다. 둘째, 연구주제로 한국은 프로그램에 대한 연구가, 북미는 어린이 자료에 대한 연구가 약 50%씩을 차지하였다. 셋째, 학위별로는 한국은 석사학위논문이, 북미는 박사학위논문이 약90%를 차지하였다. 넷째, 한국이 북미보다 많은 주제는 프로그램, 서비스, 경영 및 관리 분야였으며, 북미가 한국보다 많이 연구된 주제는 어린이 자료, 어린이 행태, 이론 및 역사 등이었다.

본 연구의 목적은 IFLA의 'OPAC 디스플레이 지침(초안)'에서 제시된 38개 권장사항들을 중심으로 어린이 도서관의 OPAC 디스플레이를 검토하여, 디스플레이에 반영되는 OPAC의 기능성 및 검색과 관련된 제 문제점을 분석하고 개선방안을 제안하는 것이다. 서울특별시립어린이도서관, 청주기적의 도서관, 및 용산도서관 어린이도서관의 OPAC을 중심으로 검색화면의 구조와 검색방법, 간략 디스플레이, 레코드 정렬, 용어 및 명칭의 적절성, 및 서지 레코드 완전 디스플레이의 특성을 분석하였다. 연구대상 도서관 OPAC은 어린이의 요구와 행태를 반영한 기능성과 디스플레이를 제공하지 않았고, KOLAS 시스템의 전형적인 일반용 OPAC의 특성을 다음과 같이 보여주었다: 간략검색의 지나친 복잡성, 상세검색의 불필요한 검색 및 제한 기능, 미작동 기능, 도움말의 부재, 간략 디스플레이 및 소장정보의 복잡성, 도서관 전문용어의 사용, 목록 화면의 복잡성 등.

본 논문은 어린이 자료를 서비스하는 두 개의 영문 서지 정보시스템이 제공하는 접근점과 접근점 제공방식을 분석하여 다양한 정보를 제공하도록 설계된 접근점과 접근점 제공방식을 확인하였다. 분석대상 서지정보시스템으로서 A 공공도서관 목록시스템과 N 어린이소설전문 데이터베이스를 선정하였다. 분석 결과, 이 두 시스템 모두 접근점은 자료의 내적 외적 접근점을 모두 포함하고 있었다. 또한 접근점 제공방식은 키워드 입력뿐만 아니라 이용자에게 부담이 적은 '인식' 단계의 인지활동을 지원하는 브라우즈와 하이퍼링크를 통한 내비게이션 방식을 제공함으로써 이용자와 서지정보시스템간의 '상호작용,' 이용자의 '정보만남,' 그리고 '우연성'을 지원하고 있었다. 본 논문의 결과는 어린이를 대상으로 봉사하는 사서와 시스템개발자들이 어린이를 위한 서지정보시스템 접근점 개발시 참고할 수 있다.

어린이도서관에 대해 학부모와 교사들의 어린이도서관에 대한 수요조사를 시행하였으며, 학부모와 교사들의 연령, 이용빈도 등에 따른 수요조사도 비교분석 하였다. 광주지역의 학부모와 교사 1500명을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였으며, 조사항목은 어린이도서관의 필요기능, 시설설계시 고려사항, 프로그램 개발의 고려사항, 구비할 자료의 형태 등으로 이에 대한 요구도를 파악하고자 하였다. 수요분석결과 첫째, 도서관의 필요기능으로 문화복지기능, 문화예술체험기능 등을 높게 평가하였고, 시설설계에서는 쾌적성(위생시설과 환기, 습도, 온도 등)과 안정성(어린이용 쇼파, 쿠션, 카펫 등)을 최우선시하였으며, 셋째, 프로그램 선호유형으로는 현재 진행되고 있는 다양한 프로그램 중 학부모와 교사 모두 활동, 공연, 교육 프로그램이 필요하다고 응답하였다. 특히 공연 프로그램을 학부모 1순위, 교사 3순위로 꼽았으며, 활동 프로그램은 교사 1순위, 학부모 3순위로 조사되었다. 넷째, 도서관에 구비해야할 자료의 중요도로는 창의성을 길러줄 수 있는 자료, 바른 인성을 길러줄 수 있는 자료 등의 중요도를 가장 높게 평가하는 것으로 나타났다.
