공대 여학생의 남자교수 상담에 대한 만족도와 요구도 (Satisfaction and Needs of Female Students in Engineering with Counseling Men Professors)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the satisfaction and needs of female students in Engineering with counseling male professor. Subjects of this study were 92 female students in Engineering from a university in K city. Results of survey showed that women students in Engineering were most satisfied with the usefulness of counseling and next with male professor's attitude as counselor. Counseling needs of female students in Engineering was highest on receiving concrete information on finding a job from counseling and next to it on understanding women students. Results of focus group interview and suggestions for the study in the future were presented respectively.

Development and Application of Advance Care Planning Workbooks to Facilitate Communication with Children and Adolescent Patients: A Pilot Test

  • Purpose: This study presents the process of designing workbooks for advance care planning appropriate for the Korean cultural setting and describes actual case studies. Methods: This study focused on single inductive case studies of the utilization of an advance care planning workbook and recruited individual participants. Results: The workbook for adolescents contained six sessions and the workbook for children contained seven sessions. The workbook sessions led to four major discoveries: 1) considering the Korean cultural context, discussions on life and death must be held indirectly; 2) the role of the counselor as a supporter is crucial for the workbook to be effective; 3) the workbook must be accessible regardless of the seriousness of the illness; and 4) patients must be able to make their own choice between the workbook versions for children and adolescents. Six facilitating factors improved engagement: 1) the role of the counselor as a supporter; 2) building trust with the patient; 3) affirming freedom of expression on topics the patient wished to avoid talking about; 4) having discussions on what private information to keep secret and to whom the information can be disclosed; 5) discovering and regularly discussing relevant topics; and 6) regular communication and information-sharing with the patient's medical service providers. Conclusion: It is necessary to build on actual case studies regarding workbooks for children and adolescents in order to expand the usage of these workbooks to all relevant medical institutions in Korea.

부모로서 성 역할에 대한 대학생의 지각 (Perception of Parental Sex Role by University Student)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to describe the perception of parental sex role held by university students and to examine differences in perception of parental sex role according to student characteristics. Method: The participants were 336 university students in Gangreung city. The instrument of parental sex role was developed by the researcher and consisted of 3 subcategories; general parent role, parental sex role as a father and parental sex role as a mother. Results: The most positive item of parental sex role as a father is 'the Father's role is teaching about the value of society'. The most positive item of parental sex role as a mother is 'the Mother's role is to be a counselor or friend'. There were significant differences in perception of a father's role according to sex, type of college, fathers who lived with student during childhood, the relationship with the parent, the plan of marriage & having a child, responsibility of childrearing, and the need for education for the parental role. There were significant differences in perception of the mother's role according to sex, grade, type of college, birth order, type of family, persons who lived with student during childhood, the relationship with the parent, plan of marriage & having a child, responsibility of child-rearing, and the need for education for the parental role. Conclusion: The parental sex role changes overtime. Thus, it is important to identify university student's perception of parental sex roles as pre-parent preparation for parenting.

초등학교 아동의 문제행동 수정을 위한 미술치료 사례 연구 (A Case Study on Art Therapy for the Behavior modification of Elementary School Children)

  • This study aims to examine the effects of art therapy on challenging behavior of schoolchildren. For this purpose, I selected one class of 4th year student of S primary school, located at Jeongeup city, Jeonlabukdo, and selected 4 study subjects through examination of K-CBCL children. juvenile behavior evaluation scale, characters, school life and K - HTP test. With regard to procedure of this study, I carried out art therapy program at the art class for 60 minutes one time a week for 4 months, a total of 17 sessions from Apr. 3, 2007 to July 24, 2007. I made this program with some modification in reference to Arts Therapy Technique (Counpia Remote Training Center, 2005), Group Art Therapy (Choi Seon Nam. Kim Gap Sook. Jeon Jong Kuk, 2007) and the Effects of Peer Group Art Activity on Sociality Skill of Offensive Children (Park Ju Yeon. Lee Byeon In, 2005). For each child, I compared and analyzed the changes in score of K-CBCL children. juvenile behavior evaluation scale, behavior by K-HTP (dynamic house-wood-human figure test) analysis and by school life(KSD) image analysis before and after treatment. I also carried out qualitative analysis on behavioral feature of each child for each session. This study obtained the following conclusions. First, child A showed positive change in comparison before and after art treatment program of score K-CBCL children. juvenile behavior evaluation, K-HTP image test and school life. Since he was so active and wanted to obtain good evaluation from anyone that he frequently had quarrel with friends, spoke against others well and beaten others much but was changed and did not speak against others or beat. Second, child B showed clear difference in comparison before and after art treatment program of score K-CBCL children. juvenile behavior evaluation, but no significant difference in K-HTP image test and school life. However, I observed substantial changes. While he could not speak frankly to others, felt empty in mind and was offensive in personal relations, he was changed, did not have quarrel with others or speak against others that much and improved his relationship with friends or teachers. Third, child C showed positive change in score of K-CBCL children juvenile behavior evaluation after art therapy program. In comparison of K-HTP image test and school life treatment before and after treatment, he still longed for mothers in mind but found rather stable after treatment. Fourth, child D showed positive chance in score of K-CBCL children. juvenile behavior evaluation scale after art therapy program, but almost no changes in K-HTP image test. But he depicted good relationship and socializing with other friends in school life. While he could not carry his point due to social immaturity and felt depressed, he got more confident. This result of study showed that art therapy had positive effects on correction of schoolchildren.

초등학생의 창의적 인성과 진로인식 및 직업포부의 관계 (The Relationship Among Creativity Personality, Career Awareness, and Occupational Aspirations of Elementary School Student)

  • 본 연구는 초등학생 322명을 대상으로 창의적 인성과 진로인식, 직업포부간의 관계를 알아보고 직업포부에 미치는 창의적 인성과 진로인식의 영향에 대해서 검증하였다. 연구결과, 창의적 인성과 진로인식, 직업포부 간 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 창의적 인성은 진로인식과 직업포부에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 창의적 인성을 독립변인으로, 직업포부를 종속변인으로, 그리고 진로인식을 매개변인으로 보고 변인간의 관계모형을 구조방정식을 통해 검증한 결과, 변인간의 관계모형은 양호한 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 초등학생의 효과적인 진로지도 및 상담방법에 대해 논의하였다.

초등학생의 발표 불안 감소를 위한 인지적 행동주의 집단상담의 효과 (Development of cognitive-behavioral group counseling program for elementary children with speech anxiety and its effects)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the cognitive behavioral group counseling program to relieve elementary children of speech anxiety and to examine its effects. The program was developed on the basis of the cognitive, affective, and behavioral activities. The cognitive activities were based on the REBT procedures, and affective activities included making child's nickname, finding out his own strengths and exchanging positive feedback each other and behavioral activities included training assertiveness, coaching and practicing speech behavior etc, Subjects were 14 elementary children from M elementary school in Gwangju. They had the highest scores at the speech anxiety test which was administrated to all the sixth graders of M elementary school. Seven subjects were randomly allocated to experimental group and control group respectively. Two speech anxiety tests and one speech behavior checklist were administrated as pre- and post-tests. The collected data was analyzed by ANCOVA. Research results demonstrated that the experimental group showed statistically significant changes in the scores of the speech anxiety test and the speech behavior checklist comparing with the control group. Then it was accepted that the program which was developed in this study could make effects on the reduction of elementary children's speech anxiety.

전화 아기건강상담을 통해 나타난 우리나라 어머니들의 육아문제 분석 (Analysis of Telephone Counseling Service on Child Health)

  • This study analyzed the services as operated by the Child Health Telephone Service Center. The Center is a toll free service operated as part of the community services of the Korean Academic Society of Child Health Nursing. The aim of the study was to describe the concerns of child caregivers regarding child health care as discussed during telephone counseling. Specific objectives were as follows: 1. To analyze the activities of the Center. 2. To describe the characteristics of caregivers who made phone calls for counseling services and also the characteristics of their children. 3. To analyze the content of the counseling sessions. 4. To analyze counseling content according to the characteristics of the caregivers and their children. Data used for the study were obtained from the counseling records for the period from Sept. to Dec. 1999, as kept by the three counselors at the Center. The total number of calls was 8,261 and that consisted of 15,150 questions. The total questions were merged into 13,236 by eliminating those questions which overlapped or were of similar content. The final 13,236 questions were used for the final analyses. Almost of the callers (98.4%) were mothers. Among them 89.6% were between 25 and 35 years of age. Geographical distribution of the callers covered the whole nation. The largest numbers who made the calls were from the Seoul metropolitan area (36%), followed by 28% from Kyung Gi Province, and 20% were from the Kyung Sang area. Among 8,261 callers, 72.8% were first users. Sex of the babies and children in question for counseling was about even for males and females and ages ranged from one month to six years. The largest group (62.5%) was the less than six month age group. The finalized 13,236 questions/problems were categorized into 11 problem areas. They were in order of frequency, physical problems, feedings and nutrient concerns, information on child rearing, growth and development, guidance on utilization of child care facilities, elimination problems, sleeping concerns, immunization related concerns, behavior problems, injury and accidents, and safety measures. The most frequent problems for counseling were physical signs and symptoms (27.3%), followed by feeding and nutrients, information on child rearing, and growth and development. Of physical problems, abnormal gastrointestinal signs and symptoms were the most frequent concern and skin problems were next at 25% and 23.3% respectively. Loose bowels, vomiting and constipation were the most frequent gastrointestinal problems. Atopic dermatitis had the highest frequency at 53.3% with diaper rash being the second highest among the skin problems. About 80% of the growth and developmental category were physical development concerns related to physiological, body growth, and motor and sensory development. This study constitutes the activity report for the first year of the Center. The findings correspond with literature reports on child health problems and parents educational needs. One recommendation from this study is that since the services of the Center are carried out only by telephone, the psychology of the counselees and the counselor relationship must be considered for better services.

놀이와 게임을 활용한 주의력향상훈련을 적용한 ADHD 아동의 단일사례연구 (A Single Case Study on a Child with ADHD by the Application of Attention Improvement Training Composed of Play and Games)

  • 본 연구는 ADHD 아동으로 진단 받은 초등학교 4학년 학생을 대상으로 한 사례연구이다. 본 연구의 대상자인 정보제공자는 주의력 부족과 충동적인 행동특성이 두드러진 아동이었으므로 대상아동의 주의력향상에 초점을 두고 주의력향상과 함께 충동성을 감소시키는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 쉽게 지루함을 느끼고 집중을 잘 하지 못하는 ADHD 아동이 관심과 흥미를 가질 수 있는 놀이와 게임을 활용하여 주의력향상 훈련 프로그램을 구안하여 15회기 동안 적용하였다. 훈련 프로그램의 효과검증을 위 해 주의력과 충동성을 측정하는 자기보고 측정치와 수행과제를 프로그램을 시작하기 전, 프로그램이 끝난 후, 프로그램이 끝난 뒤 6주 후에 검사를 실시하였다. 또한 진행 과정에서 관찰일지, 상담일지, 주변인물과의 면담등의 모든 자료를 수집, 분석하여 정보제공자를 질이 있게 이해하고자 하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 놀이와 게임을 활용한 주의력향상훈련을 적용하여 주의력 관련 사전, 사후, 5주 후 지속검사, 상담일지 등의 관찰된 자료를 통해 정보제공자의 주의력이 향상되었고 그 효과도 지속되는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 놀이와 게임을 활용한 주의력향상훈련을 적용하여 충동성 관련 사전, 사후, 6주 후 지속검사, 상담일지 등의 관찰된 자료를 통해 정보제공자의 충동성이 감소되었고 그 효과도 지속되는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 주의력과 충동성의 검사결과 뿐만 아니라 프로그램 진행과정에서 관찰된 모든 자료를 수집하여 분석한 결과 교우관계와 자신감에 있어서도 긍정적인 변화가 나타났다.

부적응 아동의 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달을 위한 미술상담 사례연구 (A Case Study of ART Counseling on Maladjusted Children's Self-Respect and Social Ability Development)

  • 본 연구에서는 초등학교 부적응 아동에게 미술상담 프로그램을 실시하여 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달을 도와줌으로써 부적응 아동의 학교생활 적응을 돕고자 하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 연구자가 담임을 맡고 있는 대전광역시 Y초등학교 6학년 중 학교생활적응 검사를 실시하여 총점이 100점 이하인 아동 중 최하점수인 아동 4명을 부적응 아동으로 선별하였다. 본 연구에서 실시한 미술상담 프로그램은 선행연구를 토대로 연구의 목적에 맞도록 연구자가 재구성한 것을 사용하였고, 2008년 9월 2일부터 10월 16일까지 주 2회(회기당 60분)씩 총 12회기로 실시하였으며, Y초등학교 6학년 1반 교실에서 방과후 시간을 이용하여 본 연구자가 직접 진행하였다. 연구 결과를 분석하기 위하여 첫째, 부적응 아동의 부적응 행동을 변화를 양적으로 비교하기 위하여 '학교생활 적응 검사'를 사전 ·사후 실시하여 그 결과를 비교.분석하였다. 둘째, 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달의 변화를 확인하기 위하여 사전 사후 검사를 실시하여 그 결과를 비교.분석하였다. 셋째, 부적응 아동의 심리 상태 변화를 분석하기 위하여 투사검사(KSD) 를 프로그램 실시 전과 후에 실시하여 그림 내각을 비교.분석하였다. 넷째, 매 회기마다 각 아동의 행동특성을 기술하는 질적 분석을 통하여 부적응 아동이 미술상담 프로그램 실시 전과 후에 어떠한 변화를 보였는지 비교하였다. 본 연구의 결과 미술상담 프로그램은 부적응 아동의 적응 행동을 감소시켰으며, 미술상담 프로그램은 부적응 아동의 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달에 효과가 있으며, 부적응 아동으로 하여 금 심리적으로 긍정적인 변화를 유도한다. 이상과 같은 결론을 종합해 볼 때 미술상담 프로그램은 부적응 아동의 자아존중감 및 사회성 발달을 도와주어 학교생활적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 알 수 있으므로 초등학교 교육현장에서 부적응 아동의 학교생활 적응에 효과적이라 생각된다.

아동이 지각한 아버지의 의사소통유형과 학교생활적응과의 관계에서 자아탄력성의 매개효과 (Father's Communication Style and Children's School Adjustment: Mediation Effect of Ego-Resilience)

  • 본 연구는 아동이 지각한 아버지의 의사소통유형과 학교생활적응과의 관계에서 자아탄력성의 매개효과를 확인함으로써, 학교생활적응에 있어 아버지의 의사소통유형과 자아탄력성의 중요성을 인식시키고 더 나아가 아버지-자녀간의 의사소통에 필요한 자료를 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 인천광역시 서구 B초등학교 5, 6학년 아동 345명을 대상으로 하였다. 수집자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 변인사이의 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였으며 자아탄력성의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동이 지각한 아버지의 의사소통유형, 자아탄력성, 학교생활적응의 상관분석 결과 세 변인은 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 아동이 지각한 아버지와의 순기능적 의사소통유형과 역기능적 의사소통유형 중 회유형은 자아탄력성, 학교생활적응과 정적 상관을 보였으며, 역기능적 의사소통유형 중 평가형, 혼란형, 비난형은 자아탄력성과 학교생활적응과는 부적 상관을 보였다. 자아탄력성과 학교생활적응은 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 아버지의 의사소통유형과 학교생활적응의 관계에서 자아탄력성의 매개효과를 살펴본 결과, 자아탄력성은 아버지의 의사소통유형과 학교생활적응의 관계에서 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 아동이 지각한 아버지의 의사소통유형, 학교생활적응, 자아탄력성 간 관계 및 경로를 확인하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 따라서 학생들이 학교생활적응을 잘 하도록 돕기 위해서는 아버지와 자녀간의 바람직한 대화기법을 탐색하여 적용하고자 하는 노력이 요구되며, 더불어 자아탄력성 증진 프로그램의 개발 및 학교 현장에의 적용이 요구됨을 시사해 준다.
