Characteistics of Charge Traps and Poling Behavior of Poly (Vinylidene Fluoride)

  • Transient charging and discharging currents as well as space charge limited currents have been measured in biaxially stretched poly(vinylidene fluoride) film under various poling fields and temperatures. At low temperatures and short poling times, the I-V characteristics showed shallow trap behavior. When the current values extrapolated to the infinite time, the I-V characteristics indicate that the distribution of the trap energy levels is uniform or very broad. The abnormal suppression of current at higher poling voltages and the high discharge rate observed also in the same voltage range are attributed to the morphological changes due to dipole reorientation.

  • Based on the problems of untimely Expressway fire rescue and backward traditional fire rescue methods, an emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is designed. The overall mechanical structure design of emergency fire fighting and inspection robot riding on expressway guardrail is completed by using three-dimensional design software. The target fire detection is realized by using the target detection algorithm of Yolov5; By selecting a variety of sensors and using the control method of multi algorithm fusion, the basic function of robot on duty early warning is realized, and it has the ability of intelligent fire extinguishing. The BMS battery charging and discharging system is used to detect the real-time power of the robot. The design of the expressway emergency fire fighting and inspection robot provides a new technical means for the development of emergency fire fighting equipment, and improves the reliability and efficiency of expressway emergency fire fighting.

  • As ESS safety issues increase recently, there is a need to more precisely monitor the temperature of the ESS. In this paper, DTS technology for temperature monitoring of ESS batteries is introduced and the temperature measurement principle is explained. The temperature of the battery module is measured using the DTS system, and the thermal deviation between battery cells inside the battery module is analyzed. In order to analyze how thermal imbalance affects the charging and discharging performance of the battery, an accelerated degradation test was conducted. Cycle life characteristics analysis, battery surface temperature change, and AC impedance characteristics were conducted to analyze how the performance of battery cells differs according to temperature conditions.

  • In this paper, The stress induced leakage currents of thin silicon oxides is investigated in the nano scale structure implementation for Soc. The stress and transient currents associated with the on and off time of applied voltage were used to measure the distribution of high voltage stress induced traps in thin silicon oxide films. The stress and transient currents were due to the charging and discharging of traps generated by high stress voltage in the silicon oxides. The channel current for the thickness dependence of stress current, transient current, and stress induced leakage currents has been measured in oxides with thicknesses between $41\square\;and\;113.4\square,$ which have the channel width x length 10x1um, respectively. The stress induced leakage currents will affect data retention and the stress current, transient current is used to estimate to fundamental limitations on oxide thicknesses. The weight value of synapse transistor was caused by the bias conditions. Excitatory state and inhitory state according to weighted values affected the channel current. The stress induced leakage currents affected excitatory state and inhitory state.

Data-Driven Approach for Lithium-Ion Battery Remaining Useful Life Prediction: A Literature Review

  • Nowadays, lithium-ion battery has become more popular around the world. Knowing when batteries reach their end of life (EOL) is crucial. Accurately predicting the remaining useful life (RUL) of lithium-ion batteries is needed for battery health management systems and to avoid unexpected accidents. It gives information about the battery status and when we should replace the battery. With the rapid growth of machine learning and deep learning, data-driven approaches are proposed to address this problem. Extracting aging information from battery charge/discharge records, including voltage, current, and temperature, can determine the battery state and predict battery RUL. In this work, we first outlined the charging and discharging processes of lithium-ion batteries. We then summarize the proposed techniques and achievements in all published data-driven RUL prediction studies. From that, we give a discussion about the accomplishments and remaining works with the corresponding challenges in order to provide a direction for further research in this area.

  • 친환경선박법에서 샤프트제너레이터(shaft generator)는 친환경선박 해당 기자재로 정부와 선주의 높은 관심을 보이고 있다. 하지만, 선박에서 신기술을 적용하기 위해서는 높은 신뢰성을 요구하고 있으며, 이를 위한 검증 방법으로 HILS(hardware in loop system)테스트를 사용한다. 이에, 본 논문에서는 샤프트제너레이터를 적용한 터그보트의 HILS 테스트를 위해, 샤프트제너레이터를 모델링하고 시뮬레이션 하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통해, 시나리오에 따라 샤프트제너레이터의 충방전이 동작하는 것을 검증하였다.

  • 본 논문은 0V에서 100V까지 매우 높은 승·강압비를 갖는 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터를 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 2-Stage 구조로 SRC(Series Resonant Converter)와 DBC(Differential Buck Converter)로 구성된다. 제안하는 컨버터의 출력 전압은 두 개의 각 벅 컨버터 출력 전압의 전위차로 결정되기 때문에 0V에서도 높은 전압으로 승압이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 제안하는 컨버터의 타당성을 검증하기 위하여 15kW급 시작품을 제작하였고 96.27%의 최고효율을 달성하였다.

  • This paper addresses the enhancement of long-endurance solar-powered aircraft through the integration of a rechargeable battery and Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller. Traditional long-endurance aircraft often rely on non-renewable energy sourcessuch as batteries orjetfuel, contributing to carbon emissions. The proposed system aims to mitigate these environmental impacts by harnessing solar energy and efficiently managing its storage and utilization. The MPPT controller optimizes the power output of photovoltaic cells, enabling simultaneous charging and discharging of the battery for propulsion and servo control. A prototype is presented to illustrate the practical implementation and functionality of the proposed design, marking a promising step towards more sustainable and enduring solar-powered flight.

용량방전점화장치의 설계 (Design of the Capacitor Discharge Ignition System)

  • 개소린 엔진 자동차의 연료절차, 공해감소, 보수경감을 목적으로 용량방전점화장치(CDI)를 해석적 및 실험적으로 설계하는 과정을 기술하였다. 특히 방전시스템에 대한 간단한 모델을 사용함으로써 점화코일의 입출력전압, 전류를 계산하였다. 그 결과 실험치와 비교하였으며 이로 부터 최적점화조건을 만족하기 위한 방전용량, SCR 및 다이오드의 정격과 DC-DC 콘버터의 소요출력전압을 결정하였다. 또 과도한 dv/dt 및 di/dt에 대한 SCR의 보호회로를 해석하고 그 결과를 관측된 결과를 관측된 결과와 비교하였는데 이로써 SCR선택과 보호회로 및 트리거 회로 설계가 용이하게 된다. 더우기 DC-DC콘버터의 거동에 대한 실험적 결과를 해석하므로써 콘버터 설계를 간이화하였다. 실용적인 CDI장치를 시작하였으며 이것은 실험실 및 노상 시험에서 만족할만한 성능을 나타냈다. 그 시험결과도 아울러 보고한다. An analytical and experimental design procedure is described for the Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) System with a view to fuel saving ann reduction of gas exhaustion and maintenance need. Specifically, the input and output voltage and current of a given ignition coil were calculated by using a simplified circuit model for the discharging system. The results were compared with the experimental results, from which ratings of the charging capacitor, the SCR and the diodes and the required output valtage of the DC·DC converter were determined so as to satisfy the optimum ignition conditions. Protection circuits for excessive dv/dt and di/dt for the SCR were also analyzed and the results were compared with the observed results, which facilitate selection of the SCR and design of the protection circuit and the trigger circuit. Also, design of the DC·DC converter was simplified based on the analysis and experimental results of the behavior of the converter, An experimental, yet practical CDI system was built, which showed satisfactory performance in the laboratory and field tests. The results were also reported.

Development of Battery Management System for Electric Vehicle Applications of Ni/MH Battery

  • 전기자동차의 성능은 축전지의 성능에 의해 크게 좌우된다. 그러므로 우수한 성능과 높은 신뢰성을 가진 전기자동차를 개발하기 위해서는 다양한 운영조건에서 축전지가 최대의 성능을 가질 수 있게 잘 관리되어야 한다. 축전지의 성능 향상은 축전지 관리 시스템(BMS)의 적용에 의해 달성될 수 있으며 BMS는 축전지의 상태 감시뿐만 아니라 축전지의 충전 및 방전을 최적화하는 중요한 역할을 수행한다. 이 연구에서는 전기자동차에 적용된 니켈 메탈하이드라이드 전지(Ni/MH battery) 이용을 최대화하기 위한 역할을 수행하는 BMS를 개발하였다 이 시스템은 축전지의 충전 및 방전 제어, 과충전 및 과방전 방지, 잔존용량 계산 및 표시, 안전관리 및 열관리 등의 기능을 가진다. 금번 개발된 BMS를 대우자동차와 고등기술원이 공동 개발한 DEV5-5전기자동차에 장착하여 시험을 수행하였다. 이 차량에는 파나소닉사의 12V-95Ah사양의 Ni/MH battery 18모듈이 적용되었다 시험결과 이 시스템은 $3\%$ 이내의 높은 정확성을 가지고 있으며 우수한 신뢰성을 나타내었다. 이 BMS는 전기자동차의 신뢰성과 안전도뿐만 아니라 Ni/MH battery pack의 성능과 수명을 향상시킬 것이다.
