  • 납축전지는 전 세계 수천만 자동차부터 골프카트. 오토바이 등 동력기계에는 필수 장치로 널리 사용되고 있기 때문에 전지의 수명을 정확히 예측하고 평가하는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 납축전지의 충. 방전 특성을 고려해 동적 모델을 구현해 보았다. 회로의 구현을 위해 각기 다른 수명의 전지를 테스트하였고, 나타나는 특성 그래프의 변수들을 프로그래밍기법을 활용하여 전지의 특성을 해석할 수 있는 전기적 회로로 모델링하였다.

  • This paper deals with the operation of a flywheel energy storage UPS. The ups has good features such as long life-time, improved efficiency, no environment problems, reduced size and space, and low maintenance cost compared with the conventional UPS using battery. The operating principle of the UPS is analysed in each mode including charging, voltage compensation, discharging, and voltage unbalance compensation. Especially, the tracking characteristic of the disturbed phase of the source voltage after outage is analysed. The usefulness of the operation is proved through simulations.

  • The SOC estimation method based on Kalman Filter(KF) requires the accurate battery model to express the electrical characteristics of the battery. However, the performance of KF SOC estimator can hardly be improved because of the nonlinear characteristic of the battery. This paper proposes the new KF SOC estimator of Lithium-Polymer Battery(LiPB), which considers the variation of parameters based on the hysteresis effect, the magnitude of SOC, the charging/discharging mode and the on/off load conditions. The proposed SOC estimation method is verified with the PSIM simulation combined the experimental data of the LiPB.

  • In this paper, we evaluated the effect of accumulated charges on hydrophobicity of room temperature vulcanized(RTV) silicone rubber, which could improve the contamination performance of porcelain insulators, with uv radiation time. Outdoor insulating material could be charged by the corona discharge on field intensified area of insulator and discharge between the water drops. In addition, we performed the accelerated uv radiation on samples and investigated the change of charging decay with time. In this results, it is found that silica-like structure on the surface of RTV silicone rubber was formed by uv treatments and this layer have the characteristic of retaining the charges on surface for a long time. These charges have effects on its hydrophobicity and so adversely effects on contamination performance. Based on our results, we discussed the other degradation mechanism with well known ones.

  • The epilayer of vertically stacked, self-assembled InAs Quantum Dots (QDs)was grown by MBE with solid sources in non-cracking K-cells, and the sample was fabricated to a FET structure using a conventional technology. The device characteristic and performance were studied. At 77K and room temperature, the threshold voltage shift values are 0.75V and 0.35 V, which are caused by the trapping and detrapping of electrons in the quantum dots. Discharging and charging curves form the part of a hysteresis loop to exhibit memory function. The electrical injection of confined electrons in QDs products the threshold voltage shift and memory function with the persistent electron trapping, which shows the potential use for a room temperature application.

  • Equalizing the state of charge of cell that affects the charge/discharge quality and efficiency of the battery through the charge/discharge characteristic experiments of battery source, we develope the high efficiency charge/discharge system which would be used in serial HEV with the constant engine-generator output. For this, establishes the electrical model of Ni-MH battery appropriate to the high efficiency charge/discharge conditions. There is no model of Ni-MH cell, so we used Ni-Cd model and obtain the Ni-MH model through the experiment. A reason that each cell has the same charge/discharge property for applying the cell model to serial/parallel connected battery source extensively is needed. Therefore, in this paper, propose the Ni-MH charger/discharger has the equalization charging function and selectable cut-off function.

  • Capacitive current switching test for circuit breaker and load breaker switch requires special attention because, after current interruption, the capacitive load contains an electrical charge and can cause dielectric restrike and re-ignition of the switching devices. therefore dielectric strength of capacitor load bank shall be able to withstand 4Vt (Vt : test voltage) and charging voltage discharged within 1 min. In this paper presents both characteristic of capacitive current switching tests and design of capacitor load bank.

  • A 14.1" XGA (1024${\times}$768) LCD panel with Integrated Black Data Insertion (IBDI) has been world first developed successfully based on the integrated amorphous Silicon TFT gate driver which we previously introduced. The notable features compared with the conventional integrated a-Si TFT gate driver circuit are that the circuit consists of Dual buffer, Carry buffer structure, and Q-node cross charging for stable signal scanning characteristic and prevention of coupling between signal lines.

  • Maximum power point tracking(MPPT) techniques are used in photovoltaic systems to maximize the PV array output power by tracking continuously the maximum power point which depends on panels temperature and on irradiance conditions. This paper proposes a variable step size MPPT algorithm which can improve the MPPT speed and accuracy. Depending on insolation and temperature, the MPPT controller gives optimized step size. The effectiveness of the proposed system is verified thorough PSIM simulation and experiments on a 50[W] prototype. The experimental results confirm that the PV power of the improved P&O method is higher than that of the traditional P&O method.

  • Recently, the seriousness of high blood pressure was appeared as the most frequent disease of a the whole sickness in the world. However, the treatment of this disease is uncertain and produces an adverse reaction of a medicine therapy. Also, the patients are burdened with a fee for medical treatment. Therefore, in this paper, we studied effectively and financially to execute the treatment of high blood pressure using the Chinese medicine theorem that is recently arousing the great interest of the people. The main theories in this paper are blood vessel theory and acupuncture, respectively. Especially, the composed circuit systems are classified the blood pressure depressor part and the meridian points discrimination part, respectively. The blood pressure depressor part is composed generally of low-frequency generation circuit, charging-discharging circuit, and micro-computer circuit. Finally, this research have the advantage of discrimination parts such as regular voltage generating circuit, stimulus circuit, amplifying circuit, and alarm circuit.
