Recently, the application of viscoelastic material in the field of vibration isolation has gradually increased due to its achievement in structural damping capacity, and many of the theoretical and experimental study has been carried out. In this study, the dynamic characteristics of the visoelastically supported cantilever beam, of which govering equation is based on the Bernoulli- Euler equation, is analyzed theoretically and experimentally. Expression for stiffness of multi-layered viscoelastic materal has been developed using variables such as frequency and number of layers, and further, based on this expression, damping characteristic of the beam is investigated with experimental verification.

Many companies make active use of loyalty programs to improve their customers' loyalty to the company. Loyalty programs are widely used in various industries and sectors, including oil, telecommunications, credit card, department stores, and internet shopping malls; their performance seems to be successful in building a positive relationship with customers. This study emphasizes the role of affiliate programs in creating loyalty, thereby helping companies to maintain their competitive advantage. To objectives of this study are to investigate which antecedent variables(affiliate program benefit, service company characteristic , consumer characteristic) have significant effects on consumer perceived affiliate program satisfaction and to examine whether these factors have differences between Korean and Japanese consumers. The useful results will provide marketing strategy for marketers of service companies. The results also show that affiliate program is very important in order to maintain relationship with customers in service companies.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the role of c-fos oncogenes in the development of fibrous dysplasia and osteofibrous dysplasia. The immunohistochemical expression of c-fos protein was evaluated in 15 cases of fibrous dysplasia and 8 cases of osteofibrous dysplasia. Ten cases of fibrous dysplasia were weakly positive with c-fos. Six cases of osteofibrous dysplasia were weakly positive and the remaining two cases were strongly positive. The overall expression of c-fos protein is weaker than high-grade osteosarcoma, thus the implication of c-fos protein is little in the development of these tumors. Fibrous dysplasia and osteofibrous dysplasia share some features of characteristic histology and c-fos expression.

In order to recognize the facial expressions, good features that can express the facial expressions are essential. It is also essential to find the characteristic areas where facial expressions appear discriminatively. In this study, we propose a directional LBP feature for facial expression recognition and a method of finding directional LBP operation and feature region for facial expression classification. The proposed directional LBP features to characterize facial fine micro-patterns are defined by LBP operation factors (direction and size of operation mask) and feature regions through AdaBoost learning. The facial expression classifier is implemented as a SVM classifier based on learned discriminant region and directional LBP operation factors. In order to verify the validity of the proposed method, facial expression recognition performance was measured in terms of accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity. Experimental results show that the proposed directional LBP and its learning method are useful for facial expression recognition.

The present study was conducted to assess gene expression of bacterial lacZ driven by the SV40 promoter at early developmental stages of bovine embryos. The lacZ gene was linearized with BamHI digestion and introduced into the pronucleus by microinjection at 20 hrs after the commencement of in vitro fertilization. Intact bovine blastocysts were not stained with X-Gal, suggesting that there is no endogenous beta-galactosidase activity in these blastocysts. In contrast, the bovine blastocyst cells microinjected with the lacZ gene exerted a characteristic greenish-blue color originating from the bacterial beta-galactosidase activity, albeit at a low rate, i.e. 2.1% of the total fertilized oocytes injected. It was concluded, therefore, that the lacZ gene driven by the SV40 promoter could be used for an indirect screening method in which the presence of transgene is evaluated from the product of transgene expression.

Understanding of human emotion has a high importance in interaction between human and machine communications systems. The most expressive and valuable way to extract and recognize the human's emotion is by facial expression analysis. This paper presents and implements an automatic extraction and recognition scheme of facial expression and emotion through still image. This method has three main steps to recognize the facial emotion: (1) Detection of facial areas with skin-color method and feature maps, (2) Creation of the Bezier curve on eyemap and mouthmap, and (3) Classification and distinguish the emotion of characteristic with Hausdorff distance. To estimate the performance of the implemented system, we evaluate a success-ratio with emotional face image database, which is commonly used in the field of facial analysis. The experimental result shows average 76.1% of success to classify and distinguish the facial expression and emotion.

The purposed of this study is searching the characteris-tic of 'Movement' expression by the Moving experience in display space. First, the concept of 'Movement' was defined by visitor's moving experiences according to the time pass and to visual perception. Exhibit cases were analygied to fine the relationships the defined 'Movement' experience with display spaces. But, 'Movement' is related moving experience from the entrance to importance of display space, and that is picked out key word in movement expression. Consequently, two category (visual expression, expres-sion method) to regard on the space design in display space was suggested focused on the concept of 'Movement'.

In contemporary fashion metal have used which is as the material with a sufficient potentiality of expression which is displayed by an unique characteristic involved only in metal. In this paper metal expressed in contemporary fashion is researched. The first thing the formative characteristic of metal is researched under the consideration of type technique and color of metal used in contemporary fashion. Metals such as gold silver bronze aluminum thin lead and iron are usually used in fashion and those metals are used in various types such a thread fabric board leaf a and cable. Those types of metal as above are applied to the clothing by the techniques of weaving embroidering metal leaf printing or moulding which gives the formative characteristic to the clothing. In color metal has an effect on the colors of surroundings by its smooth and unique luster and its effect of reflection and produces the visual formative characteristic through the effects of contrast. The esthetic will of metal expressed in modern fashion is researched in this study under the facts studied as above. first metal expresses the future oriented esthetic Second metal has the characteristic of attracting the attention Third metal is used as valid techniques to express the artistic formation for clothing escaping from the idea that the clothing is only for wearing. Finally metal is used as an anti-cultural tool of fighting against the existing order or spirit.

As a free creature that can fly in the sky, the bird has been an object of admiration and mystery and a mediator between human beings and the heavens. This study aims to clarify the aesthetic value of birds through study of the various expressions of the bird image on clothing and by the formative will of designers. Based on the general examination of the bird image through the study of documents, this study is composed of a case analysis, which reveals on modern fashion designs. Additionally, the forms of expression of the bird image are organized according to the stereoscopic expression of shaping, the relief expression of handicraft decoration, the flat expression of surface design, and the characteristic expression of wings and feathers. The aesthetic characteristics revealed by the expression patterns are metaphorical symbolism, surrealistic humor, lyrical naturalness, and fantastical femininity. Since antiquity, the bird image continuously recreated by artists has offered aesthetic value in terms of formativeness in the external form and symbolism in the internal form. This study would help to understand the diversity of creation in contemporary fashion design.
