  • This study examines how OTT service changes the television viewing experience, what are the underlying dimensions that difference of viewing behavior and experiences between OTT service and old television media. The result showed the characteristic of viewing experiences through OTT service that social viewing, channel zapping by sharing information, multi viewing, de-contextualized viewing space. Specifically, television as a family media turned into a personalized media, social viewing generalized so called 'lean forward' with each other using texts and images at the same time. In particular, information on the content and appraisal shared with each other on SNS in real time.

  • In this paper, a dynamic TCP-friendly rate control (TFRC) is proposed to adjust the coding rates according to the channel characteristics of the wireless-to-wired network consisting of wireless first-hop channel. To avoid the throughput degradation of multimedia flows traveling through wireless lint the proposed rate control system employs a new wireless loss differentiation algorithm (LDA) using packet loss statistics. This method can produce the TCP-friendly rates while sharing the backbone bandwidth with TCP flows over the wireless-to-wired network. Experimental results show that the proposed rate control system can eliminate the effect of wireless losses in flow control of TFRC and substantially reduce the abrupt quality degradation of the video streaming caused by the unreliable wireless link status.

  • The US military is developing and improving SE-CORE and CVE to integrate war game between different kinds of systems, establish time-optimal CVE. Although South Korea is researching SEDRIS, etc. that is suitable for domestic circumstances, there are still many problems to be solved. The researchers suggest a way to semi-automate part of SNE process, by using the channel information of the image. This can help to improve speed of creating synthetic environment and facilitate information sharing to the others. If there is further research on the subject, it will be possible to develop automation technology to apply data from various information collection devices to synthetic battlefield environment (SBE).

  • In this paper, we analyze the sharing parameters in order to co-use of different communication systems in adjacent channels. We analyze the performance result according to various density of interfering transmitter and transmitter output in hetero systems. In order to get the relationship with between density of interfering transmitter and transmitter output, we consider the case that WiBro is an interfering transmitter an WLAN is a victim receiver. When the interferer density is 50/$km^2$ and the center frequency of WLAN and WiBro are 185 and 201MHz respectively, required guard band is 4MHz. Analyzed coexistence results may be widely applied into the technique developed to get the coexisting condition for wireless devices using many communication protocols in same frequency.

  • Moving image sharing technology has developed various servers and programs for personal broadcasting. In this paper, we propose the method of transmitting the multiple moving image, including the output channel of external streaming server. It also implements and tests multiple real-time broadcast channel automatic transmission systems that assign multiple output channels to automatic output channels. As a result of the experiment, it is easy to allocate moving image to broadcast channels that are output through the external streaming server's output channels regardless of the size of the streaming server, enabling the management of efficient output channels at the time of transmission of multiple moving image. The moving image can be provided through streaming method regardless of the type of moving image from the moving image provider terminal, and the moving image transmission can be controlled in various ways, including adding and changing channels for which the moving image is sent, and sending delayed to the moving image.

  • This paper proposes a phase measurement algorithm which is based on the recursive implementation of sliding-DFT. The algorithm is designed to have a robust behavior against the erroneous factors of frequency drift, additive noise, and twiddle factor approximation. The size of phase error caused by the finite wordlength implementation of DFT twiddle factors is shown significantly lower than that of magnitude error. The drastic reduction of the phase error is achieved by the exploitation of the quadruplet symmetry characteristics of the approximated twiddle factors in the complex plane. Four channel power-line phase measurement system is also designed and implemented based on the time-multiplexed sharing architecture of the proposed algorithm. The operation of the developed system is also verified by the experiment performed under the test environment implemented with the multi-channel function generator and the on-line interfaced host processor system. The proposed algorithm's features of phase measurement accuracy and its robustness against the finite wordlength effects can provide a significant impact especially for the ASIC or microprocessor based embedded system applications where the enhanced processing speed and implementation simplicity are crucial design considerations.

  • We make an interference analysis to obtain a critical ctiteria for coexisting availability of WLAN and WiBro between adjacent channels can be used in TVWS(TV White Space). To meet this analysis, we set the various transmission parameters including the emission and blocking mask, antenna height and gain, transmission power and bandwidth, channel model etc. And, based on these parameters, we analyze on performances according to a variation of guard band, a number of service user and allowable transmit power of the user operating in the adjacent channels. In this paper, we consider a urban environment and apply a Extended Hata-SRD for WLAN and an interference link and Extended Hata model for WiBro, respectively. With these results, we can see how each system can be shared in an adjacent channel.

  • Broadcast encryption system is a cryptographic primitive that enables a sender to broadcast a message to a set of receivers in a secure channel. Out of previous proposed broadcast encryption systems, the most effective is the one that uses the Subset Difference(SD) method in a binary tree structure. The SD method has been realized by two underlying approaches: Pseudo-Random Generator(PRG) and Secret Sharing(SS). 2-SD method is the generalized version of the SD method by which two subsets of revoked receivers can be dealt with by one subset (in an SD-based broadcast encryption system). The primary advantage of the 2-SD method is to further reduce the size of transmission overhead, compared to the SD method. Until now, however, there is no known broadcast encryption system that is based on such a 2-SD technique using either PRG or SS basis. In this paper, we suggest a new 2-SD broadcast encryption system using the SS-based technique that was suggested by Jae Hwan Lee et al. in 2014[9]. The new system can reduce the size of ciphertext by 25% of the one in the previous SS-based broadcast encryption system. Also, on a theoretical note, ours is the first 2-SD broadcast encryption system that is provably secure.

  • Information sharing behavior in the Internet has raised much interest. Recently, social network sites provide a new information sharing channel for the users who want to connect with others based on common social background or tastes. Especially, we focus that a social network site becomes one of major routes for information sharing about socially influential issues. Therefore, studying how information is diffused via a social network site may give theoretically, practically significant implication. Based on the assertion, we investigated user's behavior to mediate other user's information messages. We define information mediating behavior as concurrent actions of filtering and distributing behavior of the digital content that is originated from one of the connected users. In this study, we intended to understand the effects of information mediating behavior, and tried to understand characteristics of re-mediating of previously mediated information. Using an agent-based simulation model, we found that information mediating behavior increased the extent of information diffusion significantly. In addition, even a small degree of mediating probability could boost up the level of information diffusion in the case of a re-mediating condition. We believe that those findings provide remarkable insight of research and business application on both of information sharing and diffusion in a social network site.

  • In this paper, we investigated the throughput of a cognitive radio network where two primary frequency channels (PCs) are sensed and opportunistically accessed by N secondary users. The sharing sensing member (SSM) protocol is introduced to sense both PCs simultaneously. According to the SSM protocol, N SUs (Secondary User) are divided into two groups, which allows for the simultaneous sensing of two PCs. With a frame structure, after determining whether the PCs are idle or active during a sensing slot, the SUs may use the remaining time to transmit their own data. The throughput of the network is formulated as a convex optimization problem. We then evaluated an iterative algorithm to allocate the optimal sensing time, fusion rule and the number of members in each group. The computer simulation and numerical results show that the proposed optimal allocation improves the throughput of the SU under a misdetection constraint to protect the PCs. If not, its initial date of receipt shall be nullified.
