  • Japan and South Korea since 2004 until now for the broadcast channel interference, by measuring the ongoing conflict are expected to prepare for the future, but Korea's preparation are not enough. In this study, it is pointed that cause of the interference through channel environmental analysis, and effective application of propagation prediction model was carried out between neighboring countries. Between Korea and Japan, radio duct occurs on hold due to changes in the refractive gradient, and comfirmed occurrence of broadcasts interference. The results are presented that 1% time variable, -91.80 [N-units/km], 10% time variable, -43.92 [N-units/km], 50% time variable, -586.19 [N-units/km], for effective refractive gradient. Proposed refractive gradient could contribute to actual radio propagation prediction.

  • This paper presents a power control scheme for OFDM based wireless communication systems in a multicell environment with co-channel interference which enables each system to achieve its target level of transmission bit rate. Generally, the optimal or near optimal power control scheme for multicarrier systems is Down to control the power level of each subcarrier in accordance with the associated channel status, which may be found in WF(waterfilling) and WF(iterative waterfilling) schemes. However, this requires the channel state information associated with every subchannel to be fed back from the receiver to its transmitter for successful power control. If the wireless channel exhibits relatively fast fading or the number of subcarriers is large, this may result in a considerable overhead. Here, in order to alleviate this problem, we propose a power control strategy for an OFDM systems maintaining the same power level over all the subcarriers. Also we prove its convergence, compare its complexity with that of the existing IWF algorithm, and examine its convergence characteristic through computer simulations.

  • Space-Time Block Code(STBC) provides full diversity gains with simple linear processing at the receiver. Interference Cancellation(IC) techniques in system using STBC improve the capacity and performance of wireless systems with co-channel users. Various IC techniques, Minimum Mean-Squared Error(MMSE) and Zero-Forcing(ZF) algorithms in system with STBC were proposed in the literatures in multiuser environment. The performance of these IC techniques were simulated by assuming perfect channel state information(CSI) of multiuser at the receiver. However, in practice it is difficult to know perfect CSI of multiuser at the receiver. Thus, channel estimation scheme is essential at the receiver. Also SNR estimation scheme is required to operate the MMSE IC algorithm. In this paper, we present estimation schemes of CSI and SNR using training sequences. Through extensive computer simulation, we compare and evaluate the performance of IC techniques using the proposed CSI and SNR estimation techniques.

  • In this paper, we propose a simple precoding vector design scheme for multi-user multiple-input single-output (MISO) interference channel when there are multiple eavesdroppers. We aim to obtain a mathematical closed-form solution of the secrecy rate optimization problem. For this goal, we design the precoding vector based on the signal-to-leakage plus noise ratio (SLNR). More specifically, the proposed precoding vector is designed to completely eliminate a wiretap channel capacity for refraining the eavesdroppers from detecting the transmitted information, and to maximize the transmitter-receiver link achievable rate. We performed simulation for the performance investigation. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme has better secrecy rate than the conventional scheme over all signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) range even though the special condition among the numbers of transmit antennas, transmitter-receiver links, and eavesdroppers is not satisfied.

  • In this paper, we analyze the effects of interference canceller on the performance of multitone DS/CDMA system. Although there are various kinds of interference cancellers suggested by different researchers, we adopt a canceller used by Yoon et at.[9]. We consider three kinds of inteferences, that is, multiPath interference(MPI), interchannel interference(ICI) and multiple access interference(MPI). The equations for variances ate derived for the inteferences and thermal noise used for signal to noise ratio calculation. We also consider RAKE reception over multipath channel and three stage interference canceller used for performance improvement. We draw some conclusions that interference canceller is effective in multitone DS/CDMA system and the performance is further improved with the higer order of diversity and larger number of PN chips.

  • We propose a user selection method in multi-cell multiuser uplink system with the subspace interference alignment to maintain the high sum-rate capacity. The proposed method selects users whose interference to adjacent cells are strong and apply the subspace interference alignment to the users. The proposed method provides that the number of users performing the interference alignment reduces and the high total sum-rate is maintained. Simulation results exhibit the proposed method reduces the number of users who would decompose the channel for the subspace interference alignment by 50% when the required sum-rate is 90% of the maximal achievable sum-rate.

  • In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing based wireless system, a pilot signal is often employed to estimate channel state information (CSI). However, the received pilot signal is interfered by other cell interference in multi-cell environments. We consider the estimation of CSI by utilizing orthogonal preambles and channel correlation.

  • Under the cutoff priority discipline, the prioritized channel allocation problem is formulated, which minimizes the overall blocking probability while ensuring the co-channel interference constraints. To deal with the problem more conveniently, the concept of pattern is used. A simulated annealing approach is applied to the problem, and computational experiments show that a high-quality solution is obtained.

  • This paper presents a nonlinear least squares decision feedback equalizer Bilinear systems are attractive because of the ability to approximate a large class of nonlinear systems efficiently. The nonlinearity of channel is modeled using a bilinear system. The algorithms are derived by using the QR decomposition for minimization covariance matrix of prediction error by applying Givens rotation to the bilinear model. Result of computer simulation experiments that compare the performance of the bilinear DFE to two other DFE's in eliminating the intersymbol interference caused by a nonlinear channel are presented In the paper.
