  • In this letter, the performance of the interference channel with continuously varying channel is evaluated by using interference alignment based on practical channel estimation and channel state information(CSI) feedback and ideal Doppler frequency estimation. In this paper, performance evaluation is performed in terms of sum rate for 3-user interference channel. And also, sum rate is measured according to frequency of channel estimation relating with the calculation complexity. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme outperforms the conventional one which assumes that the channel is constant in a frame in some circumstances.

  • In this paper, we consider a precoder design problem for multiuser interference channel. Most of the conventional schemes for precoder design utilize a signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) as a cost function. However, since the SINR metric of a desired transmitter-receiver pair is a function of precoding vectors of all transmitters in the multiuser interference channel, an analytic closed-form solution is not available for the precoding vector of a desired transmitter that maximizes the SINR metric. To eliminate coupling between the precoding vectors of all transmitters and to find a closed-form solution for the precoding vector of the desired transmitter, we use a signal-to-leakage-plus-noise ratio (SLNR) instead as a cost function because the SLNR at a transmitter is a function of the precoding vector of the desired transmitter only. In addition, channel estimation errors for undesired links are considered when designing the precoding vector because they are inevitable in a multiuser interference channel. In this case, we propose a design scheme for the precoding vector that is robust to the channel estimation error. In the proposed scheme, the precoding vector is designed to maximize the worst-case SLNR. Through computer simulation, we show that the proposed scheme has better performance than the conventional scheme in terms of SLNR, SINR, and sum rate of all users.

  • In a multi-hop CR (Cognitive Radio) network, each node find a path to destination node through several links. If links have the same frequency channel, there can be a serious interference among the links and it can reduce the network capacity. In multi-channel CR networks, each channel has different capacity according to the inter-link interference, and each channel has different traffic properties of primary users. In this paper, we propose channel scheduling scheme to minimize channel interferences and collision with primary users. Simulation results show the improvement of channel capacity and collision rate with primary users.

  • To improve the throughput of Device-to-Device (D2D) communication, we focus on the scenario where D2D pair can reuse multi-channel of cellular communication. However, as sharing same channel with cellular communication can cause interference between D2D communication and cellular communication, a proper interference management is needed. In this paper, we propose interference-based channel allocation to select the channels to be used by D2D communication and a solution from game theory perspective to optimize the D2D communication throughput under multi-channel as well as guarantee the interference from it to cellular network. The simulation results verify the stability of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we consider a channel ordering problem that seeks to minimize the total interference in mobile radio networks. If a base station receives connection request from a mobile user, one of the empty channels that are fixed to the base station is assigned to the mobile user. Among several channels available, we can choose one that seems to make least interference with other channels assigned to adjacent base stations. However, a pair of channels that are not separated enough do not generate interference if both of them are not simultaneously used by mobile users. That is, interference between channels may vary depending on the channel assignment sequence for each base station and on the distribution of mobile users. To find a channel assignment sequence that seems to generate minimum interference, we develop an optimization model considering various scenarios of mobile user distribution. Simulation results show that channel assignment sequence determined by the scenario based optimization model significantly reduces the interference provided that scenarios and interference costs are properly generated.

  • Wireless mesh network (WMN) is emerging a future core technology to resolve many problems derived from exist wireless networks by employing multi-interface and multi-channel. Ability to utilize multiple channels in WMNs substantially increases the effective bandwidth available to wireless network nodes. However, minimum interference channel assignment algorithms are required to use the effective bandwidth in multi-channel environments. This paper proposes a cluster-based minimum interference channel assignment (MI-CA) algorithm to improve the performance of WMN. The MI-CA algorithm is consists of Inter-Cluster and Intra-Cluster Intrchannel assignment between clusters and in the internal clusters, respectively. The Inter-Cluster channel assignment assigns a barebone channel to cluster heads and border nodes based on minimum spanning tree (MST) and the Intra-Cluster channel assignment minimizes channel interference by reassigning ortasgonal channels between cluster mespann. Our simheation results show that MI-CA can improve the performance of WMNs by minimizing channel interference.

  • The study on interference channel is very important information theoretically and many studies have been done on it. However, even in the simplest case, even in the case of two user interfering channels, the channel capacity is not yet known except in special cases. Recently, research on the multiplexing gain that shows the tendency of the transmission rate in the high signal to noise ratio (SNR) band has been actively carried out, instead of accurately grasping the channel capacity. Obtaining optimal multiplexing gain can reveal trends in channel capacity at high signal-to-noise ratio bands. In an interfering channel with two users, the best multiplexing gain can be obtained by eliminating the interference. However, recent research shows that when the number of users is more than three, the optimal multiplexing gain can not be obtained only by zero forcing and a new technique called interference sorting is needed. There are two types of interference sorting techniques. Beamforming A method of effectively separating signals and interference by properly selecting matrices and constructing structured codes using rational numbers and irrational numbers. The interference alignment technique can achieve optimal multiplexing gain in various environments such as interference channel, X channel, compound broadcast channel, and multi hop network for multi source multi destination. In recent years, it has also been applied to distributed storage. • In this paper, we investigated bit error probabilities of GMSK, which is known to be one of promising modulation techniques for a digital mobile radio, under various mobile radio environments.: AWGN, slow Rayleigh fading channel, co-channel interference and adjacent channel interference. We employed an MSK-type receiver for a coherent detection and assumed degrading to both signals than adjacent channel interference. Especially, it is found that GMSK suffers more degradations than MSK from the co-channel interference. But with a high power adjacent channel interference, GMSK shows less bit error rate than MSK. The results confirm a higher spectrum efficiency of GMSK.

  • Co-channel interference between macro-femtocell networks is an unresolved problem, due to the frequency reuse phenomenon. To mitigate such interference, a secondary femtocell must acquire channel-state knowledge about a co-channel macrocell user and accordingly condition the maximum transmit power of femtocell user. This paper proposes a pilot-based spectrum sensing (PSS) algorithm for overlaid femtocell networks to sense the presence of a macrocell user over a channel of interest. The PSS algorithm senses the pilot tones in the received signal through the power level and the correlation metric comparisons between the received signal and the local reference pilots. On ensuring the existence of a co-channel macrocell user, the maximum transmit power of the corresponding femtocell user is optimized so as to avoid interference. Time and frequency offsets are carefully handled in our proposal. Simulation results show that the PSS algorithm outperforms existing sensing techniques, even at poor received signal quality. It requires less sensing time and provides better detection probability over existing techniques.

  • In OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) based multi-hop networks, the subcarrier-pairing scheme using the SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio) has been proposed as the best solution. But, this scheme is not optimal in cognitive radio system, because of the power control due to the interference to the primary user. In this paper, we propose two subcarrier-pairing schemes for OFDMA based 2-hop cognitive radio systems. One is the IT(Interference channel gain) scheme considering only the interference channel gain, and the other is the CI(Channel SNR over interference channel gain) scheme considering the ratio of channel SNR to interference channel gain. The results show that the CI scheme has the best performance in which throughput is improved more than 10% in comparison with other schemes.
