In the advanced material for the next generation display device, transparent amorphous oxide semiconductors (TAOS) are promising materials as a channel layer in thin film transistor (TFT). The TAOS have many advantages for large-area application compared with hydrogenated amorphous silicon TFT (a-Si:H) and organic semiconductor TFT. For the reasonable characteristics of TAOS, The a-IGZO has the excellent performances such as low temperature fabrication (R.T~), high mobility, visible region transparent, and reasonable on-off ratio. In this study, we investigated how the electric characteristics and physical properties are changed as various oxygen ratio when magnetron sputtering. we analysis a-IGZO film by AFM, EDS and I-V measurement. decreasing the oxygen ratio, the threshold voltage is shifted negatively and mobility is increasing. Through this correlation, we confirm the effect of oxygen ratio. We fabricated the bottom-gate a-IGZO TFTs. The gate insulator, SiO2 film was grown on heavily doped silicon wafer by thermal oxidation method. a-IGZO channel layer was deposited by RF magnetron sputtering. and the annealing condition is $350^{\circ}C$. Electrode were patterned Al deposition through a shadow mask(160/1000 um).
Cognitive radio networks (CRNs) have emerged as a promising solution to the problem of spectrum under utilization and artificial radio spectrum scarcity. The paradigm of dynamic spectrum access allows a secondary network comprising of secondary users (SUs) to coexist with a primary network comprising of licensed primary users (PUs) subject to the condition that SUs do not cause any interference to the primary network. Since it is necessary for SUs to avoid any interference to the primary network, PU activity precludes attempts of SUs to access the licensed spectrum and forces frequent channel switching for SUs. This dynamic nature of CRNs, coupled with the possibility that an SU may not share a common channel with all its neighbors, makes the task of multicast routing especially challenging. In this work, we have proposed a novel multipath on-demand multicast routing protocol for CRNs. The approach of multipath routing, although commonly used in unicast routing, has not been explored for multicasting earlier. Motivated by the fact that CRNs have highly dynamic conditions, whose parameters are often unknown, the multicast routing problem is modeled in the reinforcement learning based framework of learning automata. Simulation results demonstrate that the approach of multipath multicasting is feasible, with our proposed protocol showing a superior performance to a baseline state-of-the-art CRN multicasting protocol.

We introduce a rotational decision-directed joint algorithm of blind equalization coupled with carrier recovery for 32-QAM demodulation with high symbol rate. The proposed carrier recovery, which we call a rotational decision-directed carrier recovery(RDDCR), removes the residual phase difference by rotating the decision boundary for the kth received symbol by the frequency detector output of the (k-1)th received symbol. Since the RDDCR includes the function of PLL loop filter by rotating the decision boundary, it gives a simpler demodulator structure. The rotational decision-directed blind equalization(RDDBE) with the rotated decision boundary based on the Stop-and-Go Algorithm(SGA) operated during tracking the frequency offset by the RDDCR and removes intersymbol interference due to multipaths and channel noise. Test results show that symbol error rate of $10^{-3}$ is obtained before the forward error correction when SNR equals 15dB with 150KHz of carrier frequency offset and two multipaths, which is the channel condition for 32-QAM receiver.

Recent advancements in broadband wireless communication technologies enable mobile users to receive video streaming services with various smart devices. The long term evolution (LTE) network provides high bandwidth and low latency for several emerging mobile applications. This paper proposes the buffer aware scheduling (BAS) approach to schedule the downlink video traffic in LTE network. The proposed BAS scheme applies the weighting function to heuristically adjust the scheduling priority by considering the buffer status and channel condition of UE so as to reduce the time that UE stays in the connected state without receiving data. Both of 1080P and 2160P resolution video streaming sources were applied for exhaustive simulations to examine the performance of the proposed scheme by comparing to that of the fair bandwidth (FB) and the best channel quality indicator (CQI) schemes. The simulation results indicate that the proposed BAS scheme not only achieves better performance in power saving, streaming delivery time, and throughput than the FB scheme while maintaining the similar performance as the best CQI scheme in light traffic load. Specifically, the proposed scheme reduces streaming delivery time and generates less signaling overhead than the best CQI scheme when the traffic load is heavy.
The levee and bridge pier in estuary of the Hangang River are exposed in a dangerous condition due to bank erosion and local scouring occurred since the summer season in 2011. At first, it is presumed that the high sandbar formed in river channel of the study area was an important element in the occurrence of bank erosion and local scouring. It can be presumed that the record-breaking depth of freezing due to cold wave for the long term during the winter season between 2010 and 2011 as well as the heavy intensive rainfall of 2011 had a decisive effect on the first damage of A section. The second damage of B section mainly occurred around the bridge pier constructed on the high water channel before it was washed away during the winter season between 2011 and 2012. It is considered that the second damage was caused by ice formation and ice floes.
We investigate theoretically the tolerance of 40 Gbps phase-modulated (PM) duobinary signals using a vestigial sideband (VSB) filter on impairments which occurred in dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) systems, compared to the conventional duobinary signals. Our simulation results show that PM duobinary signals can't have the gain on the spectral efficiency achieved by utilizing the VSB filtering technique. In order to increase the spectral efficiency, they indispensably require to be transmitted at the optimum bandwidth of multiplexer (MUX) and demultiplexer (DEMUX) since they are susceptible to inter-channel crosstalk. It is also shown that the PM duobinary modulation format has a large tolerance on self-phase modulation (SPM) and cross-phase modulation (XPM) under the condition which MUX and DEMUX have been tuned at an optimum bandwidth; it has 1.2 dB power penalty at the fiber launching power (FLP) of 15 dBm and the channel spacing of 50 GHz.

Recently, a novel multi-bit nonvolatile memory based on double gate (DG) MOSFET is proposed to overcome the short channel effects and to increase the memory density. We need more complex voltage schemes for DG MOSFET devices. In view of peripheral circuits driving memory cells, one should consider various voltage sources used for several operations. It is one of the key issues to minimize the number of voltage sources. This criterion needs more caution in considering a DG nonvolatile memory cell that inevitably requires more number of events for voltage sources. Therefore figuring out the permissible range of operating bias should be preceded for reliable operation. We found that reliable operation largely depends on the depletion conditions of the silicon channel according to charge amount stored in the floating gates and the negative control gate voltages applied for read operation. We used Silvaco Atlas, a 2D numerical simulation tool as the device simulator.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the roadside slope of mountainous Parkway. 48 sites were selected by Random Ranking Sampling. This study was researched on the slope condition with the cause of occurrence, the situation of fundamental engineering works and vegetation on slopes. The main results of this research are summarized as follow ; 1. Slope shapes are shown nine types in cut slope and four types in fill slope. 2. Generally, fill slopes are larger than cut slopes in slop area. 3. Grade is more steep than standard grade. 4. Main engineering works, which constructed for slope stability, are terracing, side-ditch wall, channel, concrete trellis works and wire fence. 5. Roundabout channel were many constructed within the sector of Ukmojeong-Deokdong, but were few constructed within the sector of Banseon-Seongsam pass and Cheoneun Temple-Seongsam pass. 6. Most. of side-ditch wall were constructed of concrete and wet-masonry. 7. In vegetation works, many exterior species were selected. 8. Planting pattern was not combinated with the national park landscape.
A new routing computer model for the symmetric compound channel called the ASFMCS (Apparent Shear Force Muskingum-Cung Method in Symmetry) is developed. The Muskingum-Cunge routing method is adapted. The Apparent Shear Force(ASF) between the deep main channel and shallow floodplain flow is introduced while the flow is routed. The nonlinear parameter method is applied. The temporal and spatial increments are varied according to the flow rate. The adaptation of above schemes is tested against the routed hydrographs using the DAMBRK model. The results of general routing practice of Muskingum-Cunge Method (GFMC) are also compared with those of the above two models. The results of the new model match remarkably well with those of DAMBRK. The routed hydrographs show smooth variation from the inflow boundary condition without any distortions caused by the difference of cross-section shape. However, the results of GPMC, showing earlier rising and falling of routed hydrograph, have considerable differences from those of the ASFMCS and DAMBRK.

This paper presents the performance evaluation of an adaptive QAM scheme under flat and frequency selective fading channels for indoor wireless communication systems. The QAM modulation is combined with differential encoding and the demodulation process is carried out noncoherently. The adaptation is performed by varying the modulation level of QAM, depending upon received signal strength. The adaptation mechanism allows a 2- or 3-bit increase or decrease at a time, if the channel condition is considered to be significantly good or bad. Simulation results show that the average number of bits per symbol (ABPS) for each symbol block transmitted over a flat fading channel is higher than 5.0 and the BER performance is better than 10^-4 for a SNR value higher than 30 dB. For frequency selective fading channels, an oversampling technique in the receiver was employed. The BER performance obtained for frequency selective fading channels is better than 10^-4 with a SNR value of 40 dB and ABPS is found to be approximately 5.5. Therefore, this scheme is very useful in that it provides both very high bandwidth efficiency and acceptable performance with moderate SNR values over flat and frequency selective fading channels. In addition, this scheme provides reduced receiver complexity by way of noncoherent detection.
