Prospects of Bidding System in Mechanical Construction Field due to Environmental Change in Construction Production Processes (건설생산체계의 환경 변화에 따른 기계설비분야 발주시스템 변화 전망)

  • Mechanical facilities in modern buildings and industrial plants become more important in the view points of energy and environment issues. However, mechanical construction fields are still considered as to be subjected to buildings, even though design and construction of mechanical fields in the construction production process is independent of other fields. Recently, 'Framework Act on the Construction Industry' has been revised since 2007. According to the revision, the barrier of general construction and specialized construction is collapsed and the construction company can register any type of construction classification if they are able to carry out the construction mission. The mechanical construction fields are exempt until 2011 because of the protection of mechanical construction industry. In the present study, the bidding system has been prospected due to the revision of 'Basic Law on Construction Industry' after 2011. The trends for development of mechanical construction fields has been also discussed.

  • In order to develop VirtuAlmighty system, CPDM (construction project data management) and CPLM (construction project lifecycle management) model must be settled beforehand. Because most of information systems based on 3D-Design have its own database and business process. So, our team will develop collaboration management architecture of construction process for Decision Support based on PLM (Project Life-cycle Management). This architecture with business processes and Database can be used in process develop, process monitoring with many stakeholders of project, process change management, and so on.

  • A construction temporary work is main process and importance trade section. A technology system of construction temporary has very low availability of field works and needs improvements in Korea as construction site has a quick response about new requirements. This study reviews literature researches and can verify that changes to a comprehensive technology system for construction site. In addition, it suggests a breakdown structure of new standards for temporary construction technology based on views of construction site managers. Meanwhile, temporary construction technology in Korea has changed with a specification of construction temporary work which had been revised in 2014. However, the revision is merely dividing the design and building off of construction temporary technology. It is lacking in many ways to change this in a new standard system for temporary construction technology. Henceforth, it needs to develop a standard system for temporary construction technology and a professional system that is appropriate for different purposes by detail trade sections.

  • The construction liability type CM has been introduced in the form of a pilot project through public institutions since 2017 since it was introduced in the term of construction responsibility type construction project management in the Basic Law of Construction Industry in 2011 with the aim of improving the constitution of the Korean construction industry and strengthening global competitiveness. Through the introduction of construction-responsible CM, the government intends to change the paradigm of the overall construction industry, including design and construction, construction costs, disputes between stakeholders, and transparency of business. In this regard, the study aims to compare and analyze the evaluation methods on the bidding guide that public institutions (LH) are currently using to select companies in order to lay the foundations for successful construction of construction-responsible CM ordering methods.

  • Recently, as construction projects are getting bigger and more complex, the number of participants has been tremendously increased. According to the current trend, the necessity of collaboration design management controlling communication and information exchange among many participants has came up. So this study considers the roles and tasks of each participant and informations that occur in each design stage, and looks into the present status of collaboration in design management of domestic design companies. Finally, the function of collaboration system is drove. It supports tasks of design participants, such as input design outcome, decision making among concerned people and solution of design change and interference.

  • The construction of Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital is a new construction of a medical town in Yangsan. It is a case that CMr participated in the project from planning to post-completion. It shows an actual proof of Construction Management business applied CM by each phase. In this case, CMr selected the design-build contractor in the planning phase and technically performed CM businesses in every single phase such as design and construction schedule management regarding application of Fast Track technique, procurement management and contract administration in phases based on the Fast-tract; technique, design review, VE in the design phase, change order management in the construction phase and operating and maintenance in the post-construction phase. This study would go far toward applying CM to Mega Turnkey projects by analyzing the problems of CMr's practical application to the project and providing guidelines for effective and efficient CM business implementation especially in the Turnkey projects.

  • Research has begun to change the waterproofing design of domestic underground structure parts from the current negative-side waterproof design to the positive-side waterproof design. For this, active review from the design stage to prevent the ingress of external ground water into the waterproofing measures of the underground of apartment buildings is needed. Therefore, in this study, proper waterproofing method for the major leaks identified in the previous studies and a waterproofing method for the waterproof design of the underground floor and the outer wall is proposed. It is hoped that a follow-up study, such as a review of field applicability, for the proposed methods will provide an alternative to secure leakage stability in waterproof design.

Perception of the Professionals for the Environment-Friendly Apartments (환경친화 공동주택에 대한 전문가인식 변화 연구)

  • This study was intended to examine the change in the perception of the professionals for the environment-friendly apartments. After result of implementing the question survey against the professionals two times, the degree of importance in the environment-friendly design elements didn't show any significant change. However, it showed the degree of maturity on the concept of environment-friendly development is widely spreaded in terms of social, economic and environmental aspects. Based on the description of such results, the conclusion can be deduced as follow; 1) Presumably it would require 5 years for the diffusion of the concept of environment-friendly apartments and 10 years for the construction of developing its materialization and settlement respectively, 2) The proper density would be designed in $150{\sim}200%$ in view of the environmental and economic aspects. 3) It is necessary to change the existing system into the District Unit oriented planning & design method in order to apply the environmental design elements in smooth manner.

  • This study intends to clarify the key elements of designing low energy residential building construction by planning out residential construction in nature oriented designing method utilizing nearby environment and nature oriented energy from designing stage instead of construction of low energy residential building. Development of building technology is proportional to the development of technology that lasts already. However, what is no less important than the advancement of technology, it is the study of fundamental phenomena energy use in response to climate, reduction, such as recycling. It is possible in such a purpose, it is assumed that there is a need to study elements implementation plan in accordance with the climatic characteristics of the study. Method for controlling the condition solar radiation, sunshine, depending on the characteristics of the weather, by utilizing the convection phenomenon of nature, to maintain the air comfort in the interior space is the essence of eco-friendly construction and passive Property This is an important architectural elements to be aim.   • Earth Anchor method as a supporting system is widely used in the large scale deep excavation of urban areas or slope excavation project. Considering the application frequency of that method and catastrophe of that method under unproper construction management, we can find out many problems relevant to the domestic design and construction management of earth anchor method. When we encounter the cases of rapid increments and various decrements in earth anchor axial forces, considering the characteristic of earth anchor method, it is an essential point to catch the reasons and to prepare countermeasures. This article introduces two actual monitoring examples based on the close analyses of measured data in a typical large scale deep excavation project and slope excavation project. One is a rapidly increasing case of earth anchor axial forces with the continuous advance of incremental deformation in a geological layer interface. And another is a decreasing case of earth anchor axial forces with the construction conditions. The effort of this article aims to improve and develop the technique of design and construction in the coming projects having similar ground condition and supporting method.
