  • In this paper, multi gap type ozonizer(MGO) has been designed and manufactured. The ozonizer is equipped with three electrodes(central electrode of screw shape, internal electrode and external electrode) of cylinder shape. This paper describes the following two characteristics: $\circled1$ The characteristics of discharge with variation of output voltage of AC H.V source, flux of oxygen supplied gas and discharge voltage. $\circled2$ The characteristics of ozone generation by varying flux and discharge power.

  • In order to improve ozone generation, we experimentally investigated the silent discharge plasma and ozone generation characteristics of a multi-discharge type ozonizer. Ozone in a multi-discharge type ozonizer is generated by superposition of a silent discharge plasma, which is simultaneously generated in separated discharge spaces. A multi-discharge type ozonizer is composed of three different kinds of superposed silent discharge type ozonizers, depending on the method of applying power to each electrode. We observed that the discharge period of the current pulse for a multi-discharge type ozonizer can be longer than that of silent discharge type ozonizer with two electrodes and one gap.Hence, ozone generation is improved up to 17185 ppm and 783 g/kwh for the superposed silent discharge type ozonizer for which an AC high voltages with a 180 phase difference were applied to the internal electrode and the external electrode, respectively, with the central electrode being ground

  • In this paper a new discharge type ozonizer comprising the superpose operation of silent and surface discharge is presented. The ozonizer consists of two concentric glass tubes with three type of discharge electrodes : the external electrode(EE), the internal electrode(IE) and the central electrode(CE). By varying the structure of IE and materials of CE, we analyzed the characteristics of ozone related different parameters including $O_{3con}$, $O_{3g}$, and $O_{3Y}$. Using Cu made CE it was found the O3con is higher with Cu tape than that with Cu coil wound IE. At Q = 1[l/ min] the values of O3con were found as 3000[ppm] with Cu tape wound IE and 1898[ppm] with Cu coil wound IE. Then using SUS wire made CE with Cu tape wound IE at Q = 1[ι/ min] the maximum value of O3con was found as 5632[ppm]. It was observed that both $O_{3con}$ and $O_{3y}$ are higher with SUS made CE than that with Cu made CE. The maximum values of $O_{3Y}$ were found as 79[g/kWh] with Cu made CE and 170[g/kWh] with SUS wire made CE.

  • 금속수소 전극의 방전시 일어나는 방전과정을 설명할 수 있는 방전반응기구에 대한 수학적 모델을 제시하였다. 유한요소법을 이용하여 방전도중의 전극전위의 변화와 금속수소 입자내의 수소농도분포를 계산할 수 있는 전산모사 프로그램을 개발하였다. 방전전류의 세기, 금속수소 입자의 크기, 금속수소입자 내에서의 수소의 확산계수 및 전극의 공극률 등을 변화시키면서 해석을 실시한 바에 의하면, 이러한 인자들이 복합적으로 작용하여 금속수소전극의 방전특성을 결정하고 금속수소 입자내의 수소의 이용율에 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 고율방전을 하면서도 금속수소 입자내의 수소의 이용율을 높임으로써 금속수소 전극의 방전특성을 향상시키기 위해서는 전극설계인자들의 최적화가 필요함을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 방전관을 채용하여 전기적 기체방전의 중침을 이용한 새로운 방전형식의 환경개선용 오존발생 기술을 개발하였다. 방전관형 오존발생기(DLO)는 설치된 3개의 전극중 접지전극인 중심전극으로 방전관을 사용 하였으며, 나머지 2개의 메쉬형 내부전극과 나선형 외부전극에 180[$^{\circ}$]의 위상차를 가진 2개의 교류고전압 전원을 인가함으로써 방전관과 내부전극, 방전관과 외부전극사이의 방전공간에서 각각 발생되는 무성방전의 중침에 의하여 오존이 발생되는 구조이다. 이때, 원료가스의 유량, 방전전력 및 DLO의 사용 개수 변화에 따른 방전특성과 오존생성특성을 연구검토하였으며, DLO로부터 생성된 오존을 대기오염물질인 NO 가스에 접촉시켰을 때 NO 제거특성이 우수하여 방전관형 오존발생기가 대기환경개선 설비로 적용가능함을 확인하였다.

Quantum modulation of the channel charge and distributed capacitance of double gated nanosize FETs

  • The structure represents symmetrical metal electrode (gate 1) - front $SiO_2$ layer - n-Si nanowire FET - buried $SiO_2$ layer - metal electrode (gate 2). At the symmetrical gate voltages high conductive regions near the gate 1 - front $SiO_2$ and gate 2 - buried $SiO_2$ interfaces correspondingly, and low conductive region in the central region of the NW are formed. Possibilities of applications of nanosize FETs at the deep inversion and depletion as a distributed capacitance are demonstrated. Capacity density is an order to ${\sim}{\mu}F/cm^2$. The charge density, it distribution and capacity value in the nanowire can be controlled by a small changes in the gate voltages. at the non-symmetrical gate voltages high conductive regions will move to corresponding interfaces and low conductive region will modulate non-symmetrically. In this case source-drain current of the FET will redistributed and change current way. This gives opportunity to investigate surface and bulk transport processes in the nanosize inversion channel.
