Reduced Complexity Scheduling Method with MIMO Interference Alignment for Mutually Interfering Broadcast Channels (상호 간섭 Broadcast 채널을 위한 MIMO 간섭 정렬을 이용한 복잡도를 줄인 스케쥴링)

  • In this paper, we first study the spatial multiplexing gain for the 3-cell interfering broadcast channels (IFBC) where all base stations and mobile users are equipped with multiple antennas. Then, we present the IA scheme in conjunction with user selection which outperforms the TDMA technique in the IFBC environment. The optimal scheduling method utilizes multiuser diversity to achieve a significant fraction of sum capacity by using an exhaustive search algorithm. To reduce the computational complexity, a suboptimal scheduling method is proposed based on a coordinate ascent approach.

  • The high-speed portable internet service will be served in Korea sooner or later. However, the scheduling method for the packets of various service classes has not been determined clearly yet. An effective packet scheduling for various service classes requiring different QoS is necessary to increase the efficiency of radio channels that are the limiting resource. This paper proposes an improved uplink scheduling method to accommodate more calls and enhance channel efficiency. Suggested scheduling method reflects different channel conditions considering terminal's location within a cell to increase the transmission rate and utility of the channels. According to our simulation results, our proposed scheduling method shows a good performance in the aspect of throughput and capacity of uplink channels.

  • This paper proposes the cell scheduling algorithm proper to high-speed ATM switch. The proposed algorithm is the VRR(Variable weight Round Robin) combined the FRR to variant QLT. The FRR performs the cell service of the fixed weight by each buffer. So, FRR don't support the QoS of ATM service classes although it is easy to implement a high speed switch. VRR uses the method expaned to variable weight according to buffer state as well as schedules the cell according the Fixed weight based FRR. The simulation to evaluate the proposed algorithm was done by AweSim arid Visual C++. The result graphs show that the proposed algorithm is excellent, especially in the aspect of cell loss.   • In this thesis, a buffer alloction and management algorithm is proposed in order to satisfy the QoS of CBR/VBR traffics incomming to ATM networks. Proposed traffic menagement algorithm is based on the route seperation mechanism that allocates buffers acoording to traffic characterics, and sets threshold to allocated buffers. We developed a cell scheduling algorithm and evaluated cell delay and loss probability characteristics according to incomming traffic classes. The cell scheduling algorithm uses buffer size thresholds to control overload traffic flow.

  • In this paper, a cell scheduling algorithm is proposed to satisfy the service requirements of CBR, VBR traffics. Particularly, inthe proposed algorithm an ABR traffic which is not included in the conventional cell schedulaing algorithm is treated as one kind of traffic types. The algorithm of RT-VBR and NRT-VBR traffic such that the service requrements of RT-VBR and NRT-VBR traffic are satisfied. The proposed algorithm dynamically schedules cells in a real time by considerin the current traffic conditions. The simulation of the proposed algorithms such as WRR or DWRR in terms of the mean delay time and the maximum queue length.

  • Broadband Integrated Services Digital Network(B-lSDN) supports multimedia information in real time. This can be accomplished by using Asynchronous Transfer Mode(ATM) technology. In addition, ATM networks can provide not only bandwidth reservation, but also Quality of Service(QoS) guarantees. In this paper, we propose a efficient cell scheduling algorithm considering ABR service in ATM networks. The proposed algorithm can support ABR service more efficiently than existing fixed cell slot allocation method and priority cell slot allocation method algorithm. proposed algorithm dynamically schedules cells in a real time by considering the current traffic buffer conditions. Throughout the computer simulation, evaluates the performance of the proposed algorithm.

  • In this letter, we propose a power control mechanism in order to improve secrecy rate defined as the difference between capacity of main link and wiretap link in a wireless multi-cell multiuser network. Through simulations, we verify that the proposed power control mechanism with threshold based user scheduling can significantly increase secrecy rate in a multi-cell environment.

  • In this study, the control and scheduling of the flexible manufacturing cell (FMC) is discussed, which can perform the mixed production and relieve the effect of machine failure. The control of the FMC isvery complex task due to the property of multiple jobs and the dynamically changing states. For effective control of proposed FMC, the hierarchical scheme is introduced and the functions of each levels are defined. Especially for the control functions of shop floor level and cell level, the intelligent scheduler is implemented. To show the efficiency of the intelligent scheduler, the production method fo the existing assembly lines was evaluated and compared with the proposed intelligent FMC method. The results from the production performance show that the proposed method is superior to the existing method in various performance indices.

  • In this paper, we propose a distributed user scheduling with interference-aware power control (IAPC) to maximize signal to generating interference plus noise ratio (SGINR) in multi-cell uplink network. Assuming that the channel reciprocity time-division duplexing (TDD) system is used, the interference channel from users to other cell BSs is obtained at each user. In the proposed scheduling, each user reduces the transmit power if its generating interference to other BSs is larger than a predetermined threshold. Each BS selects the user with the largest SGINR among users. Simulation results show that the proposed technique significantly outperform the existing user scheduling algorithms.

  • In this paper, we propose a distributed user scheduling with transmit power control based on the amount of interference inflicted to other BSs in multi-cell uplink networks. Assuming that the channel reciprocity time-division duplexing(TDD) system is used, the channel state information (CSI) can be obtained at each user from pilot signals from other BSs. The amount of generating interference to other BSs will be calculated at each user. Especially, in this paper, we propose the threshold-based transmit power control, in which a user decrease its transmit power if its generating interference to other BSs is larger than a predetermined threshold. Simulation results show that the proposed technique significantly outperforms the existing user scheduling algorithms.
