A Comprehensive Review on Regression Test Case Prioritization Techniques for Web Services

  • Test Case Prioritization (TCP) involves the rearrangement of test cases on a prioritized basis for various services. This research work focuses on TCP in web services, as it has been a growing challenge for researchers. Web services continuously evolve and hence require reforming and re-execution of test cases to ensure the accurate working of web services. This study aims to investigate gaps, issues, and existing solutions related to test case prioritization. This study examines research publications within popular selected databases. We perform a meticulous screening of research publications and selected 65 papers through which to answer the proposed research questions. The results show that criteria-based test case prioritization techniques are reported mainly in 41 primary studies. Test case prioritization models, frameworks, and related algorithms are also reported in primary studies. In addition, there are eight issues related to TCP techniques. Among these eight issues, optimization and high effectiveness are most discussed within primary studies. This systematic review has identified that a significant proportion of primary studies are not involved in the use of statistical methods in measuring or comparing the effectiveness of TCP techniques. However, a large number of primary studies use 'Average Percentage of Faults Detected' (APFD) or extended APFD metrics to compute the performance of techniques for web services.

기동장비 신뢰도 성장 관리 연구 : 발사대 체계 사례 (Reliability Growth Management for Armed Vehicle : Launcher System Case Study)

  • Purpose: In this study, the reliability growth management procedures for armed vehicle is suggested and an illustrative case study of launcher system is given. Methods: Crow-AMSAA model is adopted to manage reliability growth of armed vehicle using failure data acquired from development test phase to field operation phase. Between the development test phase and the production phase, the suggested reliability growth procedures for armed vehicle entails accelerated life test of the selected module whose design is changed to improve its reliability for assuring the target system reliability. And it can be verified through estimating the system reliability based on the failure data of field operation phase. Results: It is shown that the proposed reliability growth management procedures are effective for armed vehicle based on the case study of launcher system. After estimating the reliability of launcher system at every development test, some items are selected to change their designs for improving reliability. Accelerated life test is performed to prove the reliability improvement and finally it is verified through the field operation. Conclusion: The reliability growth management procedures for armed vehicle is suggested and the case study of launcher system shows it can be effective for managing the reliability growth of the armed vehicle.

The MapDS-Onto Framework for Matching Formula Factors of KPIs and Database Schema: A Case Study of the Prince of Songkla University

  • Strategy monitoring is essential for business management and for administrators, including managers and executives, to build a data-driven organization. Having a tool that is able to visualize strategic data is significant for business intelligence. Unfortunately, there are gaps between business users and information technology departments or business intelligence experts that need to be filled to meet user requirements. For example, business users want to be self-reliant when using business intelligence systems, but they are too inexperienced to deal with the technical difficulties of the business intelligence systems. This research aims to create an automatic matching framework between the key performance indicators (KPI) formula and the data in database systems, based on ontology concepts, in the case study of Prince of Songkla University. The mapping data schema with ontology (MapDSOnto) framework is created through knowledge adaptation from the literature review and is evaluated using sample data from the case study. String similarity methods are compared to find the best fit for this framework. The research results reveal that the "fuzz.token_set_ratio" method is suitable for this study, with a 91.50 similarity score. The two main algorithms, database schema mapping and domain schema mapping, present the process of the MapDS-Onto framework using the "fuzz.token_set_ratio" method and database structure ontology to match the correct data of each factor in the KPI formula. The MapDS-Onto framework contributes to increasing self-reliance by reducing the amount of database knowledge that business users need to use semantic business intelligence.

BSC관점에서 AHP기법을 이용한 신기술 평가 및 선정에 관한 연구 - 광산업 신기술보육사업을 중심으로 - (Evaluation and Selection Framework for a Venture Firm with New Technology in Optical Electronics Industry)

  • This study proposes a framework for an evaluation and selection of a venture firm with promising new technology in optical electronics industry to nurture that firm. The framework is intended to help practitioners to evaluate accurately and objectively new technologies. In addition, this study tests the usability and effectiveness of this framework with an actual certain case. More specifically, this study, first proposes that the framework for new technology evaluation is composed of financial perspective, market perspective, internal business perspective, and R&D and growing perspective. They are on the four perspectives of BSC(Balanced Score Card). Each perspective contains specific items. In addition, this study uses AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) to assess the comparative importance among the four perspectives and their specific items. Secondly, based on the results of AHP, the usability and effectiveness of the framework suggested in this study have been tested with a real case evaluating and selecting a promising venture firm. The results of the study have the following implications: this study has developed the framework for new technology evaluation which assists practitioners. Our framework offers the four perspectives and their specific items with their respective comparative importance. Furthermore, this study has verified that the proposed framework can be applicable in real situation with more accurate results.

BERT 모델 기반 기술융합기회 탐색 연구: 웨어러블 기술사례를 중심으로 (Exploration of Technology Convergence Opportunities Based on BERT Model: The Case of Wearable Technology)

  • Identification of potential technology convergence opportunities is crucial to drive innovation and growth in modern enterprises. In this study, we proposed a framework to explore technological convergence opportunities based on CPC code sequences from patents by utilizing the BERT model. We relied on the BERT architecture to train a new model using about 1.3 million patents registered at the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and achieved an accuracy of approximately 73% based on HitRate@10 metric. A case study using patents related to wearable technologies was conducted to demonstrate practicability and effectiveness of the proposed framework. The key contributions of this research include: (1) enabling in-depth analysis that takes into account the complex interactions between CPC codes and contextual variability; (2) enabling the exploration of diverse technology convergence scenarios beyond simple sequential patterns. This study is one of the first studies to apply the BERT model for exploring technology convergence opportunities, and is expected to contribute to the establishment of technology innovation and R&D strategies by providing a more accurate and practical tool for enhancing the speed and efficiency of technology opportunity-related decision-making processes.

배연탈질을 위한 저온 SCR 기술 도입에 따른 시나리오별 경제성 분석 (A Study on the Economic Analysis of Low-Temperature SCR Technology for NOx Reduction by Scenarios)

  • 미세먼지 문제 해결에 대한 국민적 요구가 높아짐에 따라 정부에서는 강도 높은 미세먼지 관련 대책을 발표하고 있다. 그래서 최근에 미세먼지의 전구체 중에서 질소산화물을 제거하기 위한 배연탈질기술로서 선택적 촉매환원법(SCR)이 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 미세먼지 관련 정부정책과 시장 및 기술개발 현황을 조사하고, SCR 기술이 산업체에 적용되는 경우를 Case별로 구분하여 시나리오별 경제성 분석을 실시하였다. 시나리오별 경제성 분석의 결과는 NPV로 산출하였으며, 탈질설비가 구축되어 있지 않은 기업(Case 1)이 일반 SCR 기술을 신규로 도입하는 경우(Scenario 1-1)와 저온 SCR 기술을 신규로 도입하는 경우(Scenario 1-2)를 분석하였다. 그리고 탈질설비가 이미 구축되어 있는 기업(Case 2)이 일반 SCR 기술을 그대로 사용하는 경우(Scenario 2-1)와 저온 SCR 기술로 대체하는 경우(Scenario 2-2)로 구분하여 분석하였으며, 모든 시나리오별 NPV 결과를 바탕으로 비교 분석을 실시하였다.

Determining the optimal number of cases to combine in a case-based reasoning system for eCRM

  • Case-based reasoning (CBR) often shows significant promise for improving effectiveness of complex and unstructured decision making. Consequently, it has been applied to various problem-solving areas including manufacturing, finance and marketing. However, the design of appropriate case indexing and retrieval mechanisms to improve the performance of CBR is still challenging issue. Most of previous studies to improve the effectiveness for CBR have focused on the similarity function or optimization of case features and their weights. However, according to some of prior researches, finding the optimal k parameter for k-nearest neighbor (k-NN) is also crucial to improve the performance of CBR system. Nonetheless, there have been few attempts which have tried to optimize the number of neighbors, especially using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques. In this study, we introduce a genetic algorithm (GA) to optimize the number of neighbors to combine. This study applies the new model to the real-world case provided by an online shopping mall in Korea. Experimental results show that a GA-optimized k-NN approach outperforms other AI techniques for purchasing behavior forecasting.

뇌병변장애인의 일상생활을 위한 맞춤형 보조기구의 설계·제작·적용 사례 연구 (Case Study on Design, Manufacture and Application of Customized Assistive Device for the ADL of Person with Brain Lesions)

  • 본 논문은 뇌병변장애인의 일상생활을 위한 맞춤형 보조기구 설계 제작 적용 사례연구로 대구광역시보조기구센터 장애인 보조기구 사례관리 시범사업의 2010년 일상생활영역의 맞춤 서비스 사례 중 2명을 대상으로 2010년 10월 18일부터 11월 17일까지 1개월간 진행되었다. 대상자 A는 47세 뇌병변장애인으로 양하지의 근력과 기능이 많이 저하되어 바닥에서만 생활하며 스스로 변기에 올라 앉아 배변활동을 할 수 없었다. 이에 대상자 A에게 이동식 좌변기와 맞춤 경사로를 설계 제작하여 상지의 잔존근력으로 경사로를 올라가서 이동식 좌변기에 스스로 앉아 배변활동을 할 수 있도록 적용하였다. 대상자 B는 8세 뇌병변장애인으로 손 기능이 저하되어 스스로 식사를 할 수 없었다. 기존에 나와 있는 여러 가지 식사보조도구들을 1차 적용하였으나 대상자에게 적합하지 않아 대상자 의 관절가동범위(ROM)와 손 크기를 고려하여 맞춤으로 식사보조도구를 설계 제작하였고, 작업치료와 연계하여 지속적인 훈련을 통해 향후 스스로 식사를 할 수 있도록 적용하였다. 대상자 A와 대상자 B는 기존에 나와 있는 제품의 적용이나 개조가 접근할 수 없는 사례였음으로 대상자에게 맞춤형으로 설계 제작되어 적용되었다. 본 사례연구를 통해 맞춤형 보조도구의 설계 제작 서비스의 대한 중요성과 필요성을 인식할 수 있다.

세장비가 큰 사각케이스 성형을 위한 초기 블랭크의 설계 및 개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Initial Blank Design and Modification for Rectangular Case Forming with Extreme Aspect Ratio)

  • Rectangular drawn case with extreme aspect ratio is widely used for electrical parts such as a lithium-ion battery container, semi-conductor case and so on. Additionally, from the recent trend towards miniaturization of the multi-functional mobile device, demands for rectangular case with the narrow width are increased. In this study, numerical and experimental approaches for the multi-stage deep drawing process have been carried out. Based on the research results of the width of 5.95mm model, finite element analysis for storage case of rectangular cup type was verified to the width of 4.95mm. Also, a series of manufacturing experiments for rectangular case is conducted and the deformed configuration of the rectangular drawn case are investigated by comparing with the results of the numerical analysis. And the modification of the initial blank is performed to minimize the trimmed material amount. By the application of the modified blank, the sound shape of the deformed parts is improved.

IS Acceptance in the Perspective of the Extended TTF Theory: An Exploratory Study on Employment Insurance Systems in Korea

  • While information technology has been advanced impressively, the issue of system underutilization has continued. Although TAM provides a theoretical and empirical model for explaining information technology acceptance, there exist some issues: lack of focusing task and organization. The present study examines the motivational factors influencing the beliefs about the system, in terms or the extended TTF (task-technology fit) model, to address the issues. For this purpose, an exploratory case study was conducted based on the data gathered from a Web-based survey. The present research proposes five propositions, based on the results of the case study and prior study findings, which can be used as a starting point fur future research.
