This study deals with the nonlinear static analysis of functionally graded carbon nanotubes reinforced composite (FG-CNTRC) truncated conical shells subjected to axial load based on the classical shell theory. Detailed studies for both nonlinear buckling and post-buckling behavior of truncated conical shells. The truncated conical shells are reinforced by single-walled carbon nanotubes which alter according to linear functions of the shell thickness. The nonlinear equations are solved by both the Airy stress function and Galerkin method based on the classical shell theory. In numerical results, the influences of various types of distribution and volume fractions of carbon nanotubes, geometrical parameters, elastic foundations on the nonlinear buckling and post-buckling behavior of FG-CNTRC truncated conical shells are presented. The proposed results are validated by comparing with other authors.

This study concentrates the effect of hybridisation on the collapse mode and energy absorption for composite cylinders. The static collapse behavior of laminated(Al/CFRP/GFRP) circular-cylindrical composite shell under quasi-static axial compressive load has been investigated experimentally. Eight different hybrids of laminated(Al/CFRP/GFRP) circular-cylindrical composite shell were fabricated by autoclave. Eight types of composites were tested, namely, Al/carbon fiber/epoxy, Al/glass fiber/epoxy, Al/carbon-carbon-glass/epoxy, Al/carbon-glass-carbon/epoxy, Al/carbon-glass-glass/epoxy, Al/glass-glass-carbon/epoxy, Al/glass-carbon-glass/epoxy and Al/glass-carbon-carbon/epoxy. Collpase modes were highly dominated by the effect of hybridisation. The results also showed that the hybrid member with material sequence of Al-glass-carbon-carbon/epoxy exhibited good energy absorption capability.

The vibration analysis of armchair, zigzag and chiral double-walled carbon nanotubes has been developed by inserting the nonlocal theory of elasticity into thin shell theory. First Donnell shell theory is employed while exercising wave propagation approach. Scale effects are realized by using different values of nonlocal parameters under certain boundary conditions. The natural frequencies have been investigated and displayed for various non-local parameters. It is noticed that on increasing nonlocal parameter, the frequency curve tends to decrease. The frequency estimates of clamped-free boundary condition are less than those of clamped-clamped and simply supported computations. The frequency comparisons are presented for armchair, zigzag and chiral nanotubes. The software MATLAB is used to extract the frequencies of double walled carbon nanotubes.
In this paper, stability analysis of sandwich toroidal shell segments (TSSs) with carbon nanotube (CNT)-reinforced face sheets featuring various types of auxetic cores, surrounded by elastic foundations under radial pressure is presented. Two distinct types of auxetic structures are considered for the core, including re-entrant auxetic structure and graphene origami (GOri)-enabled auxetic structure. The nonlinear stability equilibrium equations of the longitudinally shallow shells are formulated using the von Karman shell theory, in conjunction with Stein and McElman approximation while considering Winkler-Pasternak's elastic foundation to simulate the interaction between the shell and elastic foundation. The Galerkin method is employed to derive the nonlinear stability responses of the shells. The numerical investigations show the influences of various types of auxetic-core layers, CNT-reinforced face sheets, as well as elastic foundation on the stability of sandwich shells.
Further treatment facility using various filter materials was evaluated to treat effluent of constructed wetland. Further treatment facility was installed with 1m length in outlet of 3 constructed wetland (unplanted constructed; reed bed constructed wetland; cattail bed constructed wetland) using 3 filter materials (slag, activated carbon, oyster shell). Flow rate of three further treatment facility was 63 $m^3$/day (slag), 19 $m^3$/day (activated carbon), and 81 $m^3$/day (Oyster shell). COD removal rate of slag, activated carbon, and oyster shell was 6 %, 24 %, 1 %, and removal mass was 32 g/day, 30 g/day, and 5 g/day, respectively. All of further treatment facility was effective to removal organic materials. T-N and T-P removal rate of activated carbon was 24 % and 4 %, and slag and oyster shell was not effective to remove T-N and T-P. Overall, further treatment facility was effective to remove organic mater, constructed wetland combined with further treatment facility can remove nutrient and organic matters effectively.
Multi shell graphite coated Ag nano particles with core/shell structure were successfully synthesized by pulsed wire evaporation (PWE) method. Ar and $CH_4$ (10 vol.%) gases were mixed in chamber, which played a role of carrier gas and reaction gas, respectively. Graphite layers on the surface of silver nano particles were coated indiscretely. However, the graphite layers are detached, when the particles are heated up to $250^{\circ}C$ in the air atmosphere. In contrast, the graphite coated layer was stable under Ar and $N_2$ atmosphere, though the core/shell structured particles were heated up to $800^{\circ}C$. The presence of graphite coated layer prevent agglomeration of nanoparticles during heat treatment. The dispersion stability of the carbon coated Ag nanoparticles was higher than those of pure Ag nanoparticles.

Control if Sediment is very important in prawn farm due to the eruption of toxic materials such as unionized $H_{2}S,\;NH_{3}\;and\;NO_3$. In this study, column test was conducted with filter media such as activated carbon, zeolite, oyster shell and iron chloride to evaluate the reduction of toxicity from sediment. ammonia-N($NH_3$) was effectively removed by Zeolite and oyster shell. It was indicated that ammonium ion($NH_4^+$) was removed by ion exchange of zeolite. And the ammonia in the column of oyster shell was existed as the form of $NH_4^+$, which is not toxic for prawn because oyster shell was stably kept at $8{\sim}9g$ of pH. Therefore, some of ammonia($NH_4^+$) was removed by oyster shell. Hydrogen sulfide and COD were effectively removed by adsorption of activated carbon and a partial removal of hydrogen sulfide was accomplished by Oyster shell. Phosphorous was removed by activated carbon, oyster shell and iron chloride. In prawn farm, the concentration of ammonia was increased with increase of pH by algae photosynthesis in the column of activated carbon, zeolite and iron chloride, but it was revealed that pH was stably kept in the column of oyster shell.

Activated carbon was synthesized from coconut shells. The Brunauer, Emmett and Teller surface area of the synthesized activated carbon was found to be 1640 m2/g with a pore volume of 1.032 cm3/g. The average pore diameter of the activated carbon was found to be 2.52 nm. By applying the size-strain plot method to the X-ray diffraction data, the crystallite size and the crystal strain was determined to be 42.46 nm and 0.000489897, respectively, which indicate a perfect crystallite structure. The field emission scanning electron microscopy image showed the presence of well-developed pores on the surface of the activated carbon. The presence of important functional groups was shown by the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy spectrum. The adsorption of methyl orange onto the activated carbon reached 100% after 12 min. Kinetic analysis indicated that the adsorption of methyl orange solution by the activated carbon followed a pseudo-second-order kinetic mechanism (R2 > 0.995). Therefore, the results show that the produced activated carbon can be used as a proper adsorbent for dye containing effluents.
Several activated carbon in different specific surface area was prepared by steam and chemical activation of coconut shell. Products were characterized by BET ($N_2$) at 77K, and probed to be highly specific surface area of $1580m^2/g$ and pore volume that had increased with activating conditions. And also we have analyzed the adsorption efficiency of vapor phase components in cigarette mainstream smoke in order to evaluate the relationship between thesmoke components and the physicochemical properties of activated carbons. As a result of this study, the delivery of mainstream smoke was directly affected by the specific surface area and the pore size of activated carbon. The activated carbon prepared by steam activation exhibited better adsorption efficiency on the vapor phase components in mainstream smoke compared with activated carbon prepared by $ZnCl_2$, due to the higher micro-pore area of 66%. But the adsorption efficiency of semi-volatile matters such as phenolic components in a main stream smoke by the activated mesoporous carbon prepared by $ZnCl_2$ is more effective. From the these results, we can conclude that specific surface area by the micropore area increased the adsorption efficiency of activated carbon on vapour phase components, but semi-volatiles or particulate matter was affected by the ratio of mesopore area in total specific surface area.
Biomass, carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus standing crops of bethic community were estimated at the trophic levels in the intertidal zone of Kum river estuary. Annual mean biomass of zoobenthos was 130.5g/$m^2$, body fraction 26.7g/$m^2$ and shell fraction 103.8 g/$m^3$. Biomass estimated as ash-free dry weight was total 28.9g/$m^2$, body fraction 20.2g/$m^2$ and shell fraction 8.7g/$m^2$ Carbon standing crops of zoobenthos were 15.9gC/$m^2$, in which organic carbon content was 7.0gC/$m^2$ and carbonate carbon was 8.9gC/$m^2$. Production efficiency by carbon standing crops from sediment to herbivores and carnivores and 10.6% and 16.0% in phosphorus, respectively. Annual primary production of benthic algae was crudely estimated to 329g.dw/$m^2$/yr by using the biomass and turn-over rate of benthic algae.
