조직 내 민주성이 사회적 자본의 형성에 미치는 영향: 서번트 리더십의 조절효과 (The Impact of Workplace Democracy on Social Capital: The Moderating Effect of Servant Leadership)

  • Purpose - Unlike in the past, individualistic thought is more dominant than groupism where members prioritize organizations. Such changes run counter to the direction of the survival of the companies, which calls for companies to explore strategies to address thems. As one of the solutions, many people highlights social capital. However, since most studies have been conducted on the definition and characteristics of social capital, there is not enough prior factor research on the formation of social capital. So the current situation require researches on the formation of social capital. Research design, data, and methodology - To achieve the purpose, the literature and the empirical studies were combined. Deriving workplace democracy and servant leadership as factors affecting the formation of social capital through the literature, and this factors have modeled assumptions about the impact on social capital, and have established hypotheses to verify them. The survey which is conducted to verify the hypothesis and questionnaires are derived base on the variables used in the previous studies. The survey was conducted 447 respondents in Korea. Results - As a result, we found that the workplace democracy is positively functioning with the formation of social capital. It means that the democracy functions as a universal element to enhance the quality of social capital at the workplace. The evidence also shows that the positive impacts of the servant leadership on the formation of social capital. And the survey shows that groups with high level servant leadership had a higher impact on the formation of social capital than those with low levels leadership. Conclusions - At present, the social capital has become an important factor for the companies pursuing high performance workplaces. We found that the workplace democracy and the servant leadership affect the formation of social capital. It means that to increase the employees' sense of community and solidarity, it is need to form democratic environment with the servant leadership. Therefore, based on the results of this study, the workplace democracy and the servant leadership can present strategic implications that can increase the social capital.

  • Social capital contains relational, structural and cognitive dimensions. This study regards social capital as diminishing factor in innovation resistance. Trust, structuring individual tie and vision sharing which are representatives of three dimensions of social capital diminish innovation resistance. So innovation becomes more successful.

통합창원시 3개 지역 주민들의 사회자본이 건강 관련 삶의 질에 미치는 영향: 2013년 지역사회건강조사를 중심으로 (The Effect of Social Capital on Health-related Quality of Life of Residents in Integrated Changwon City: Using the Data of the 2013 Community Health Survey)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine social capital and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of residents who were living in the three regions(Masan, Jinhae, and Changwon) of integrated Changwon and to analyze the effect of social capital on HRQoL. Methods: This study used the Masan, Jinhae and Changwon data of the 2013 Community Health Survey. The social capital questionnaire consisted of three subdomains (trust, participation, and network). HRQoL was measured with the Korean-version EQ-5D. The effect of social capital on HRQoL was analyzed using multiple regression with controlling for general characteristics and health behavior. Results: The trust level of Masan citizen was highest among the three regions. Jinhae citizen showed the highest level of participation and network out of the three regions. Trust was not a significant influencing factor in any of the three models. Participation was a significant influencing factor in all of the three models. Network was a significant influencing factor only in the Masan model. Conclusion: Participation was the most important factor for health among the three social capital subdomains. Strategies for encouraging social participation are needed for health promotion for the residents of integrated Changwon.

  • Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to rationale the new approach to analysis of the human capital as a factor of effective development of a national economy and increase the level of country's competitiveness. Research design, data, and methodology - This research aims the furthest development of the conception in human capital formation. The study made on the base of the methods with scientific classification and systematization, that is, comparative, statistical analysis, economic-mathematic method, and expert assessment and ratings. Results - This research attempted to measure the correlation between the human capital elements and the level of country's competitiveness. The study revealed that formation of the competitive human capital cannot be considered in separation from the development and modernization of education system, the improvement of employment sphere, and the creation of effective interaction between them through the system of professional skills. Conclusions - The competitive human capital formation is one of the most important goals in the innovative economy construction and modern development, and it is also indispensable subject. Especially in the condition of economic crises, the necessity of formation and development of the effective human capital is considerably increasing. Realization of this task requires the development and stimulation of all the factors influencing the growing human potential.

원료삼 생산수익 결정모형 (Revenue Determination Model of Raw Ginseng Production)

  • 원료삼 생산에 있어 총수익(R)을 결정하는 4요인 승법 모형을 설정하고 (R=AYQP) 세 농가의 수납실적 수치를 사용하여 총수익 결정식임을 확인하였다. 4요소는 자본요소인 재배면적(A), 기술요소인 단위수량(Y)과 가중평균 품질등급(Q) 그리고 시장요소인 평균등급 가격(P)의 3요소로 해석하였다. 기술요소인 YQ는 자본(A)과 수익(R)의 직선모형에서 기울기가 되어 단위자본의 수익창출계수임을 밝혔다. 수익결정식은 인삼산업의 발전이 재배수량과 품질 향상기술 YQ를 증대시켜 면적(A)을 감소시킴으로서 수익(R)을 높여 시장가격(P)을 낮추는데 있음을 보여주었다.

  • Human capital is the defining value of the national economy under market conditions. The manifestation of human capital is realized as an intellectual and creative capital, theoretically grounded and proven. The realization of intellectual capital is realized through the research creativity of scientists and researchers, and creative capital is manifested through artists and thinkers. Accordingly, creativity in market conditions forms a separate source of income and is an essential article in the formation of the GDP of the national economy. This research aims to analyze human capital from the perspective of cultural and creative industries. Research methods: systematization; comparative analysis of individual indicators of advanced countries of the world on the training system; statistical, taking into account macroeconomic indicators to assess the level of national creativity potential; system and logical analysis; method of information synthesis. Research results. The structural and quantitative composition of the factors of intellectual and creative capital formation has been systematized. The article proves that the unique properties of human capital, knowledge, creativity, experience and professional skills are the push factors of creativity development of the national economy and provide the priority development of creative and cultural industry that allows generating the added value on the national scale. The functions of creativity in the sphere of cultural industries are highlighted. It is noted that education and creativity of both intellectual and creative capital are the forming basis. The research of the world's advanced countries on the creativity index has pointed out the Netherlands as the leading country in the quantitative measurement of creativity. The economic development factors of the Netherlands were analyzed from the position of economic creativity, which allowed the formation of a two-factor model providing priority development of creativity in the cultural and creative industries.

사회적 자본의 관점에서 본 결합능력의 형성요인 -특허청 사례를 중심으로- (Determinants of the Knowledge Combinative Capability Based on Social Capital Theory)

  • New knowledge is created through the dynamic interaction of knowledge that depends largely on a social context within the organization. Social processes influence the nature of knowledge and learning. This paper is rooted in the concept of social capital. Social capital theory emphasizes the importance of social relationship. Using social capital theory, this paper suggests three factors that must be satisfied for the development of knowledge combinative capability. The first factor is that the opportunity exists to make the exchange or combination of knowledge. The second factor is that people is motivated for the creation of new knowledge. The third factor is that people must share the common knowledge. This paper examines the change case of KIPO (Korean Intellectual Property Office). This case provides evidence that the three factors can develop social relationship, and build knowledge combinative capability. The man finding from this research is that social factors play an important part in the creation of knowledge, and processes of knowledge exchange and combination heavily rely upon social patterns, practices and processes in ways which emphasize the value and importance of collective action and knowledge sharing. This research may have several implications for the development of the knowledge creation mechanisms.

수산기업의 자본조달순서이론 검증:자금부족분 이용 (Testing the Pecking Order Theory of Fisheries Firms' Capital Structure : Using Financing Deficit)

  • In this paper, we study the extent to which the pecking order theory of capital structure provides a satisfactory account of the financing behavior of Korean fisheries firms using financing deficit. The major results of this study are as follows. Firstly, we find that the financing deficit is a important factor that explains the pecking order theory of fisheries firms'capital structure. However, the financing deficit does not wipe out the effects of conventional variables. The information in the financing deficit appears to be factored in along with many other things that fisheries firms take into account. Such result is consistent with the result of Frank and Goyal(2003). Secondly, we find that profitability is only one factor explaining the capital structure of fisheries firms among conventional variables when we test the regression of leverage with financing deficit during post IMF period. This result is different from the previous researches of Korean fisheries firms. (Kang and Jeong; 1997, Nam, Lee, and Hong; 2011) Finally, we examine the dynamics of capital structure of Korean fisheries firms firstly. It will allow a more detailed analysis for capital structure determinants for Korean fisheries firms.

The Influence of Intellectual Capital Elements on Company Performance

  • Intellectual capital is becoming a crucial factor for a firm's long-term profit and performance in the knowledge-based economy as more firms identify their core competence as invisible assets rather than visible assets (Itami, 1987). The company was encouraged to measure financial and non-financial factors, including the customer perspective groups, the internal business process, learning and growth perspective, then to link all these measurements in a coherent system. This paper seeks to investigate the influence of intellectual capital elements on company performance, as well as the relationship among intellectual capital elements from a cause-effect perspective. Resource-Based View (RBV) considers intellectual capital as resource and capability to sustain competitive advantage on company performance. The partial least squares approach is used to examine listed banks in Indonesia Stock Exchange for year 2017-2019. Results show that human capital directly has positive influences on innovation capital, customer capital, and process capital. Innovation capital has positive, but less significant influence on process capital, which in turn influences customer capital. Human capital and process capital also influence customer capital. Finally, customer capital contributes to performance. This study helps management to identify relevant intellectual capital elements as competitive advantage and their indicators to enhance business performance.

기업의 학습조직 구축요인이 심리적 자본과 혁신행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Learning Organization Building Factors on Psychological Capital and Innovative Behavior in Firms)

  • 본 연구는 학습조직 구축요인이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 그 관계에서 심리적 자본의 매개효과를 분석해보고자 한다. 이를 위해 서울, 포항 등 5개 도시 기업체 직장인을 대상으로 설문지 310부를 최종분석에 사용하였으며, 주된 자료분석 방법으로는 구조방정식 모형분석기법을 사용 하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 학습조직 인적요인은 혁신행동과 심리적 자본에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 학습조직 구조적요인은 심리적 자본에는 긍정적 영향을 미쳤으나, 혁신행동에는 유의미한 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 셋째, 학습조직 인적요인과 혁신행동의 관계에서 심리적 자본은 부분매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났으며, 학습조직 구조적 요인과 혁신행동의 관계에서 심리적 자본은 완전매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 학습조직 육성정책이나 수행지침과 관련하여 새로운 가이드라인을 제공할 수 있을 것을 판단되며, 지금까지 학습조직의 상황적인 요인을 조직단위에서만 고려하던 기존의 연구와는 달리 심리적 자본을 적용한 새로운 관점을 확인하였으므로 선행연구와의 차별적 의의가 있다.
