공공도서관 지적자본 평가지표와 성과의 인과관계 연구 (A Study on the Cause and Effect of Assessment Index of Intellectual Capital and Performance of the Public Library)

  • 공공도서관의 경쟁우위와 지속성 유지를 위한 내적 원동력은 지적자본이다. 지적자본은 내부구성원의 역량, 구성원들이 형성하는 조직구조, 이용자 및 이해관계자의 협력으로 맺어지는 인적자본, 구조자본, 사회자본으로 구성된다. 이 연구의 목적은 지적자본 구성요소인 인적자본, 구조자본, 사회자본에 관한 배경이론을 토대로 공공도서관 지적자본 평가를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고 동시에 실험적 평가모형을 개발하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 지적자본의 배경이론을 토대로 공공도서관의 지적자본의 해석과 평가지표를 도출하였다. 또한 실증적 분석을 통해 지적자본 구성요소와 성과의 인과관계를 밝히고, 최적화된 지적자본 평가모형을 제시하였다.

수도권과 지방 주택매매가격의 동조화 변화 분석 (A Co-movement Analysis of Housing Purchase Price of Capital and Non-Capital Area)

  • This study examined the dynamic change in the co-movement between the house price rates with the network methods of Mantegna (1999). First, Capital area and non-capital area form independent clusters which have the heterogeneous co-movement pattern. In other words, Capital and non-capital areas have low connectivity in the housing market. Also, if the co-movement between capital areas have been strengthened, the co-movement between non-capital areas have been weakened. The results of the dynamic analysis show that the degree of the co-movement in the housing market is continuously increased. The members of the co-movement group in the capital area are strongly steadied by all periods. However, the members in the non-capital area have been changed according to the period. Accordingly, it is necessary to establish policies based on various information for the housing market of the non-capital area rather than policies targeting the capital area. In addition, Apartments in Korea are more likely to be used as investment or speculative assets than other types of houses. It has been confirmed that this is Gangbuk, which is locatied in the northern part of Seoul, appears to be a region where the Spillover Effects of price fluctuation can be triggered in the housing and apartment market. However, the housing market in Gangnam, which is locatied in the southern part of Seoul, was divided into low systematic risk.

병원 간호조직의 지적자본 측정도구 개발 (Development of a Measurement of Intellectual Capital for Hospital Nursing Organizations)

  • Purpose: This study was done to develop an instrument for measuring intellectual capital and assess its validity and reliability in identifying the components, human capital, structure capital and customer capital of intellectual capital in hospital nursing organizations. Methods: The participants were 950 regular clinical nurses who had worked for over 13 months in 7 medical hospitals including 4 national university hospitals and 3 private university hospitals. The data were collected through a questionnaire survey done from July 2 to August 25, 2009. Data from 906 nurses were used for the final analysis. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Cronbach's alpha coefficients, item analysis, factor analysis (principal component analysis, Varimax rotation) with the SPSS $PC^+$ 17.0 for Windows program. Results: Developing the instrument for measuring intellectual capital in hospital nursing organizations involved a literature review, development of preliminary items, and verification of validity and reliability. The final instrument was in a self-report form on a 5-point Likert scale. There were 29 items on human capital (5 domains), 21 items on customer capital (4 domains), 26 items on structure capital (4 domains). Conclusion: The results of this study may be useful to assess the levels of intellectual capital of hospital nursing organizations.

한국 도로 자본이 산업에 미친 영향과 생산성 분석 (Study on The Influence of Road Capital to Industry and Productivity Growth in South Korea)

  • PURPOSES : This study is to suggest the Influence of road capital to industry and productivity growth in South Korea. METHODS : Based on the literature review, The relevant policy questions addressed in this report are : cost reduction and Scale elasticities of road, effect of road capital stock on demand for labor, capital and materials, marginal effect of road, industry TFP growth decomposition. RESULTS : The marginal benefits of the road capital at the industry level were calculated using the estimated cost elasticities. Demand for the road capital services varies across industries as do the marginal effects. The marginal benefits are positive for the principal industries. This suggests that for these industries the existing stock of road capital may be under supplied. The contribution of road capital to TFP growth is positive in principal industries. The main contribution of road capital is in the manufacturing industries ; the magnitudes of contribution varies among industries. These results indicate that growth in exogenous demand is most important contributor to TFP growth. CONCLUSIONS : The road capital have a significant effect on employment, private capital and demand for materials inputs in all industries. At a given level of output, an increase in road capital lead to variety to demand for all inputs in all industries.

The Impact of Intellectual Capital Disclosure on Firm Performance: Empirical Evidence from Pharmaceutical and Chemical Industry of Bangladesh

  • The main purpose of this study is to examine the impact of intellectual capital disclosure (ICD) on firm performance in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry of Bangladesh. In this study, 21 listed pharmaceutical and chemical companies have been selected as sample for 2016 and 2017. This study used the intellectual capital disclosure index developed by Rahman, Sobhan, and Islam. Return on assets and return on equity have been used as the proxy variable of firm performance. In this study, content analysis is performed to assess the level of disclosure regarding intellectual capital and pooled cross-sectional analysis is used to assess the relationship between ICD and firm performance. The study has found a positive and significant relationship between ICD and firm performance. Besides, an in-depth analysis of this study shows that all the components of ICD namely internal capital disclosure, external capital disclosure, and human capital disclosure are also positively and significantly associated with firm performance. The study suggests the development of an intellectual capital disclosure framework by the regulatory authority for mandatory compliance. This will improve the quality and quantity of ICD in the annual reports. Besides, firms should more emphasize on ICD which will help to improve their performance.

사회자본 패러다임과 사회·감성재화에 관한 소고 (A Thought on Social Captial Paradigm and Social-Emotional Goods)

  • The main purpose of this study is to explore a social capital paradigm which can be applied to many forms of social capital and intangible goods. The social capital paradigm introduces a new form of capital. This new form of capital produces a flow of socio-emotional goods that have value. Moreover, these socio-emotional goods can attach themselves to the objects used to convey them and change their value and meaning. This change in value and meaning is defined as attachment values. Exchanges of socio-emotional goods occur in networks where social capital resides. Formal and informal institutions provide order and meaning to exchanges of tangible and intangible goods. Social capital is a powerful resource that makes our choices interdependent. The social capital paradigm does not alter or contradict the basic economic theories of exchange. While the social capital paradigm accepts that selfish preferences motive many actions, it adds that sympathy and the desire to consume socio-emotional goods are powerful motivators. In case of marine affairs, ocean and fishing villages and their culture have been not only a fundamental basis of fisheries development but they also have made a great deal of contribution to forming social capital. In spite of this fact, the main reason that the problems of fisheries fishing villages fishermen in our society are kept at a distance is because they have been loosing their capability of forming social capital and producing socio-emotional goods, in addition to lowered relative economic share.

팀 내외의 사회적 자본이 R&D 성과에 미치는 영향: 지식공유의 매개효과 (The Effect of Social Capital within and outside the Team on the R&D Performance: The Mediating Role of Knowledge Sharing)

  • This study explores the role of knowledge sharing between their social capital and performance in R&D setting. R&D environment is composed of experts from various domains with different backgrounds, such as technologies and experiences. Thus, increasing team social capital and enhancing knowledge sharing are critical for R&D performance. Social capital and Knowledge sharing are classified into two : Social capital and Knowledge sharing within/outside team. A empirical study was conducted at a research institute of large company that leads the advanced research and development of the domestic chemical industry. Data was collected 292 copies out of 500 copies (Response rate 58.4%). The result indicated that both social capital within and outside team had a positive effect on R&D Performance. Social capital within team had a significant impact on knowledge sharing within the team only, and social capital outside team had a significant effect on knowledge sharing outside the team only. Only knowledge sharing outside the team had a positive effect on R&D Performance and the mediating role of knowledge sharing was acquired for social capital outside team and R&D Performance only. From these key findings, this study suggests that, within the team, social capital alone can achieve results, but outside the team, it is necessary that not only social capital but also knowledge sharing are needed in order to achieve results.

조직 내 민주성이 사회적 자본의 형성에 미치는 영향: 서번트 리더십의 조절효과 (The Impact of Workplace Democracy on Social Capital: The Moderating Effect of Servant Leadership)

  • Purpose - Unlike in the past, individualistic thought is more dominant than groupism where members prioritize organizations. Such changes run counter to the direction of the survival of the companies, which calls for companies to explore strategies to address thems. As one of the solutions, many people highlights social capital. However, since most studies have been conducted on the definition and characteristics of social capital, there is not enough prior factor research on the formation of social capital. So the current situation require researches on the formation of social capital. Research design, data, and methodology - To achieve the purpose, the literature and the empirical studies were combined. Deriving workplace democracy and servant leadership as factors affecting the formation of social capital through the literature, and this factors have modeled assumptions about the impact on social capital, and have established hypotheses to verify them. The survey which is conducted to verify the hypothesis and questionnaires are derived base on the variables used in the previous studies. The survey was conducted 447 respondents in Korea. Results - As a result, we found that the workplace democracy is positively functioning with the formation of social capital. It means that the democracy functions as a universal element to enhance the quality of social capital at the workplace. The evidence also shows that the positive impacts of the servant leadership on the formation of social capital. And the survey shows that groups with high level servant leadership had a higher impact on the formation of social capital than those with low levels leadership. Conclusions - At present, the social capital has become an important factor for the companies pursuing high performance workplaces. We found that the workplace democracy and the servant leadership affect the formation of social capital. It means that to increase the employees' sense of community and solidarity, it is need to form democratic environment with the servant leadership. Therefore, based on the results of this study, the workplace democracy and the servant leadership can present strategic implications that can increase the social capital.

  • This study on intellectual capital which is in spotlight as an important factor has meaning that it provides information on intellectual capital to interested parties(stockholders, employers, employees, customers, etc.), suggests intellectual capital measurement indices for strategic management of human resources, and presents intellectual capital management process which is useful in companies practically by designing and verifying intellectual capital measurement models for effective management of intellectual capital.

  • 본 연구는 우리나라 벤처캐피탈 산업의 현황을 점검하고 활성화를 위한 방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 벤처캐피탈 선진국인 미국의 사례를 도입해 실천하는 것도 우리나라의 시장상황을 우선 점검한 후 적용가능성을 철저하게 따져본 이후 결정해야 할 것이다. 다만 너무 다양한 문제를 구체적으로 다루다보면 복잡성해지며, 지나치게 거시적인 시각으로 보면 원론 수준에서 벗어나지 못할 가능성이 크다. 제시한 대안들은 사실상 새로운 내용이 아니며, 실무적으로도 필요성이 꾸준히 제기되어 온 문제들이다. 이제 실천의 문제를 생각해야 할 시점이다.
