DFT를 이용한 잔향이 긴 음향 전달계의 임펄스 레스폰스 추정에 관한 연구 (The Comparative Study of the Methods Estimating the Impulse Response of a System with Long Reverberation Time using Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT))

  • 이 논문은 긴 잔향을 갖는 실내의 음향전달계의 임펄스 레스폰스를 DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform)의 알고리즘으로 크로스 스펙트럼 (cross spectrum method)에 의해 구하는 3가지 방법에 대해 기술한다. 첫째의 방법은 종래부터 사용되어온 방법으로 음원신호로서 백색잡음(white noise)을 사용한다. 따라서, 임펄스 레스폰스 추정시 매우 긴 시간창의 데이터와 다수회의 DFT를 행하여야 한다. 두번째 방법은 음원신호로써 짧은 지속시간의 랜덤노이즈(random noise)를 사용하여 첫번째 방법에서 DFT수행시 데이타의 시간창의 길이를 짧게 하기 위하여 개발된 방법이다. 세번째 방법은 본 논문에서 제안한 방법으로 음원신호로써 짧은 지속시간의 두 종류의 확정산호를 교차하여 발생하는 방법이다. 이 방법은 DFT수행시 시간창의 길이는 두번째 방법과 같고 FFT 계산횟수는 5번으로 행할 수 있다. 이들 음원신호에 대해 잔향이 긴 음향전달계의 임펄스 레스폰스 측정은 전자계산기의연산처리능력과 임펄스 레스폰스 측정정도의 관점에서 비교 시험한 결과는 마지막 방법이 가장 유리하다는 결론을 얻었다.

  • Concrete is popular as a building material, however it is inherently brittle and performs poorly during earthquakes if nor reinforced properly. Traditional retrofit design techniques assume that buildings respond elastically to earthquakes. This assumption simplifies the analysis procedure but can lead to an erroneous conclusion. The complete nonlinear time history analysis is considered overly complex and impractical for general use. Simplified nonlinear analysis methods, referred to as nonlinear static analysis procedures, include the capacity spectrum method(CSM) developed in detail at ATC-40 and the displacement coefficient method(DCM) utilized at FEMA-273. In this study wall APT system. The results were compared and analyzed. The program used was neaMAX-3D to express nonlinear material.

  • 통신의 세계적 흐름은 고속화와 디지털화 그리고 대용량화의 추세로 흐르고 있다. 또한 한정된 자원인 주파수를 효율적으로 이용하기 위하여 대역확산 방식이 대표하여 그 주를 이루고 있다. 주파수 합성기로서 통신시스템에 많이 이용되고 있는 PLL(Phase Lock Loop)은 위상잡음 등 여러 가지 문제점을 가지고 있기 때문에, 이러한 문제점을 최소화 할 수 있는 디지털 소자인 직접디지털 합성기(DDS : Direct Digital Synthesis)를 이용하여 고속주파수도약 시스템을 설계하기위한 성능평가에 대하여 연구하여, 오율 개선의 해석과 고속 주파수 도약이 가능한 시스템을 설계하고 그 성능을 평가 하였다.

  • 편심이 있는 구조물이 지진하중을 받는 경우 비틀림의 발생으로 특정부재에 응력 및 변위가 집중되고 이는 전혀 예상치 못한 구조물의 파괴를 유발할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 각 횡저항 부재의 한계 변위를 기반으로 하여 구조물 전체의 횡변위와 비틀림각의 관계도(D-R Relationship: Displacement-Rotation Relationship)를 작성하고 변위스펙트럼을 이용하여 내진성능평가를 수행하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 내진성능평가의 방법은 시간이력해석의 결과를 이용해서 검증하였다. 또한 다양한 지진수준에 대해 구조물의 다른 성능수준을 기준으로 하는 다단계 내진성능평가를 수행하였다. 최종적으로 그 결과를 기준으로 D-R 관계도를 이용한 내진보강 전략을 제시하였다. 내진보강은 각 부재의 강도/강성을 증가시키는 방법과 연성도를 증가시키는 두 가지의 방법을 사용하였다. 특히 강도/강성을 증가시키는 내진보강 전략에서는 보강의 최적화를 위하여 보강전략을 최적화 문제로 구성하고 BFGS Quasi-Newton method를 이용하여 최적보강전략을 수립하는 과정을 제시하였다.

Analysis of Joint Transmit and Receive Antenna Selection in CPM MIMO Systems

  • In wireless communications, antenna selection (AS) is a widely used method for reducing comparable cost of multiple RF chains in MIMO systems. As is well known, most of literatures on combining AS with MIMO techniques concern linear modulations such as phase shift keying (PSK) and quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM). The combination of CPM and MIMO has been considered an optimal choice that can improve its capacity without loss of power and spectrum efficiency. The aim of this paper is to investigate joint transmit and receive antenna selection (JTRAS) in CPM MIMO systems. Specifically, modified incremental and decremental JTRAS algorithms are proposed to adapt to arbitrary number of selected transmit or receive antennas. The computational complexity of several JTRAS algorithms is analyzed from the perspective of channel capacity. As a comparison, the performances of bit error rate (BER) and spectral efficiency are evaluated via simulations. Moreover, computational complexity of the JTRAS algorithms is simulated in the end. It is inferred from discussions that both incremental JTRAS and decremental JTRAS perform close to optimal JTRAS in BER and spectral efficiency. In the sense of practical scenarios, adaptive JTRAS can be employed to well tradeoff performance and computational complexity.

아웃리거 댐퍼 시스템의 고층건물 풍응답 진동제어 성능 평가 (Evaluation of Vibration Control Performance of Outrigger Damper System for Tall Buildings Subjected to Wind Loads)

  • Recently, the concept of damped outrigger system has been proposed for tall buildings. But, structural characteristics and design method of this system were not sufficiently investigated to date. In this study, the dynamic response control performance of outrigger damper has been analyzed. To this end, a simplified analysis model with outrigger damper system has been developed. An artificial wind of 1000 seconds with 0.1 second time steps was generated by using a Kaimal spectrum. Analysis results show that outrigger damper system is more effective up to 20-23% in the control of dynamic response compared to conventional outrigger system. The increase of outrigger damper capacity usually results in the improved control performance. However, it is necessary to select that proper stiffness and damping values of the outrigger damper system because, the outrigger damper having large capacity is result in heavy financial burden.

포항지진의 피해 결과를 반영한 기존 저층 필로티 건물의 지진취약도함수 (Seismic Fragility Function for Existing Low-Rise Piloti-Type Buildings Reflecting Damage From Pohang Earthquake)

  • Current seismic fragility functions for buildings were developed by defining damage state threshold based on story drift concerning foreign references and using the capacity spectrum method based on spectral displacement. In this study, insufficient details and dependence on the core location of piloti-type buildings were not reflected in the fragility function because it was developed before the Pohang earthquake. In order to develop an improved one for piloti-type buildings, several types of core were selected, damage state threshold was determined based on the capacity of structural members, and three-dimensional analyses were utilized. As a result, seismic fragility functions based on spectral acceleration were developed for various core locations and different shear strengths of the column stirrup. The fragility of piloti-type buildings significantly varied according to core location, an additional single wall, and whether the contribution of column stirrup was included or not. To estimate fragility more reasonably, it is necessary to prepare the parameters to reflect actual state well.

An Efficient Channel Selection and Power Allocation Scheme for TVWS based on Interference Analysis in Smart Metering Infrastructure

  • Nowadays, smart meter (SM) technology is widely effectively used. In addition, power allocation (PA) and channel selection (CS) are considered problems with many proposed approaches. In this paper, we will suggest a specific scenario for an SM configuration system and show how to solve the optimization problem for transmission between SMs and the data concentrator unit (DCU), the center that collects the data from several SMs, via simulation. An efficient CS with PA scheme is proposed in the TV white space system, which uses the TV band spectrum. On the basic of the optimal configuration requirements, SMs can have a transmission schedule and channel selection to obtain the optimal efficiency of using spectrum resources when transmitting data to the DCU. The optimal goals discussed in this paper are the maximum capacity or maximum channel efficiency and the maximum allowable power of the SMs used to satisfy the quality of service without harm to another wireless system. In addition, minimization of the interference to the digital television system and other SMs is also important and needs to be considered when the solving coexistence scenario. Further, we propose a process that performs an interference analysis scheme by using the spectrum engineering advanced Monte Carlo analysis tool (SEAMCAT), which is an integrated software tool based on a Monte-Carlo simulation method. Briefly, the process is as follows: The optimization process implemented by genetic evolution optimization engines, i.e., a genetic algorithm, will calculate the best configuration for the SM system on the basis of the interference limitation for each SM by SEAMCAT in a specific configuration, which reaches the solution with the best defined optimal goal satisfaction.

모드기여도를 고려한 복수모드구조물의 지진취약도분석 (Seismic Fragility Analysis of Multi-Modes Structures Considering Modal Contribution Factor)

  • 이 연구는 원자력발전소 구조물의 확률론적 내진성능을 평가하는 수단으로 이용되고 있는 지진취약도분석 기법에 대하여 소개하고, 지진취약도분석에 입력자료로 제공되는 기본변수의 특성에 대하여 논의하였다. 특히, 지진취약도 분석결과에 지대한 영향을 미칠 수 있는 입력변수의 하나인 응답스펙트럼형태계수의 정의 방법을 개선하였다. 새로운 응답스펙트럼형태계수는 구조물의 고유진동모드별 기여도가 전체 구조응답에 미치는 영향을 고려할 수 있도록 모드별 기여도를 이용하여 표현하였다. 대표적인 원자력발전소 구조물을 대상으로 예제분석을 수행하고, 제안된 응답스펙트럼형태계수의 유용성 및 적용성을 검증하였다. 특히, 이 논문의 방법은 복합모드감쇠특성을 갖는 구조물의 경우에도 효과적으로 적용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Seismic design of irregular space steel frames using advanced methods of analysis

  • A rational and efficient seismic design methodology for irregular space steel frames using advanced methods of analysis in the framework of Eurocodes 8 and 3 is presented. This design methodology employs an advanced static or dynamic finite element method of analysis that takes into account geometrical and material non-linearities and member and frame imperfections. The inelastic static analysis (pushover) is employed with multimodal load along the height of the building combining the first few modes. The inelastic dynamic method in the time domain is employed with accelerograms taken from real earthquakes scaled so as to be compatible with the elastic design spectrum of Eurocode 8. The design procedure starts with assumed member sections, continues with the checking of the damage and ultimate limit states requirements, the serviceability requirements and ends with the adjustment of member sizes. Thus it can sufficiently capture the limit states of displacements, rotations, strength, stability and damage of the structure and its individual members so that separate member capacity checks through the interaction equations of Eurocode 3 or the usage of the conservative and crude q-factor suggested in Eurocode 8 are not required. Two numerical examples dealing with the seismic design of irregular space steel moment resisting frames are presented to illustrate the proposed method and demonstrate its advantages. The first considers a seven storey geometrically regular frame with in-plan eccentricities, while the second a six storey frame with a setback.
