This study examines the channel capacity of a multiple antenna system based on OFDM(Othogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) when there are correlations among received signals in the frequency selective Rayleigh fading. As for a case that two transmitting and two receiving antennas are used, the channel capacity is derived as a function of correlation in a closed-form and the effect on channel capacity is analyzed when the mean value of the of received signal power is identical/ non-identical between the two receiving antennas. Analytical results show that the channel capacity decreases with the correlation coefficient of the received signals, and the decreasing rate is accelerated when the correlation coefficient of the received signals is greater than 0.7. In addition, the channel capacity reaches its peak when the received mean signal power of each branch is identical.
Commercially available fuel oil for power plant contains relatively much sulphur, which means accordingly high content sulphur deoxide in exhaust gas. Sulphur deoxide has been identified as the worst-pollutant caused by thermal power generation. This paper primarily deals with the stack gas diffusion effects of various parameters, namely vertical stability, wind velocity, exhaust gas velocity, stack height, etc., on the ground concentration. thereof the relation between stack height and maximum plant capacity is analyzed from the standpoint of air pollution prevention. The limit capacity is calculated by means of mean concentration introducing Mead and Lowry coefficient respectively.
In binary-modulation non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), there has been rare researches for the 1+1 capacity region to be achieved; how much total power is required and what power allocation is assigned for this total power. In this paper, the average total transmitted power to achieve 1+1 capacity region of binary pulse amplitude modulation (2PAM) NOMA is investigated, with a tolerable loss. Then, based on the sufficient average total transmitted power, we calculate the power allocation coefficient to achieve 1+1 capacity region. Furthermore, it is shown by numerical results that with the tolerable loss less than 0.008, near 1+1 capacity region is achieved. We also calculate numerically the power allocation coefficient for both users to achieve near 1+1 capacity region. As a result, for 2PAM NOMA to operate near 1+1 capacity region, proper total power with appropriate power allocation could be calculated in design of NOMA systems.
Recently, foundations of heavy structures such as bridge abutments have been built on slopes or near the crest of slopes at an increasing rate. Because the bearing capacity of such foundations is considerably lower than the bearing capacity of the same soil on a level ground, deep footings such as piles and caissons are often used. However, the costs of such methods are generally very high. One of the new techniques to overcome the problem is to place reinforcing members such as geosynthetics or metal strips horizontally at some depths beneath the footings. Rational methods of analysis to predict the bearing capacity of footings in reinforced slopes are therefore needed. This paper proposes an analytical method for estimating the increase in bearing capacity gained from the included horizontal strips or ties of tensile reinforcing in the foundation soil below the footing built near the crest of a slope. A failure mechanism, including the concept of'wide slab effect', adopted in the present study for analyzing the bearing capacity of foundations in reinforced slopes, is established through the observed model test behaviors described by Binquet SE Lee and Huang et al, and the Boussinesq solutions. The analytical results are then compared with the experimental data described in the paper by Huang et al. Also in order to properly evaluate the soil reinforcement interaction, typical pullout test values of the apparent friction coefficient, which usually vary with depths owing to both the increase of the shearing volume and the increase in local stress caused by soil dilatancy, are analyzed and related functionally. Furthermore, analytical parametric studies are carried out to investigate the effect and significance of various pertinent parameters associated with design of reinforced slope foundations. Keywords : Bearing capacity, Reinforced slope, Slab effect, Friction coefficient.

This study aimed to explore the factors affecting the innovation capacity of students at the National Economics University, Vietnam. Researchers used the innovation capacity model based on six factors, including personality traits, future orientation, creative skills, social interaction, content knowledge, and management skills. The empirical analysis used data from the survey of 303 students at National Economics University, Vietnam, with reliable tools (SPSS 26.0 software). The data were analyzed by testing the reliability of the scales, correlation analysis, and Pearson' Linear Correlation Coefficient, exploratory factor analysis, as well as regression model based on the survey data. The research results identified the following factors affecting innovation capacity of students: management skills, social interaction, and personality traits have the strongest impact on innovation capacity of students; content knowledge has the following strongest effects on innovation capacity of students; and finally the creative skills that affects on innovation capacity of students. There is also a positive relationship between all the factors and innovation capacity of students. The result can serve as useful reference sources for scholars who are interested in the innovation field. It also helps university's managers and policymakers build the appropriate environment to improve innovation capacity of students.

Top-Base Method is a stabilization method for light weight structures particularly in the soft ground. It is widely used for the increment of bearing capacity and the effect of restraining settlement when the bearing capacity of the ground is not enough. Top-shaped cone concrete foundations are installed in graveled laid over soft ground. The principle of the basic method is to maximize effect of dispersing the overburden pressure by increasing the contact area of the top-shaped cone. Therefore, the bearing capacity is increased and the settlement is decreased by the embedded resistance of pile part in the ground. In this paper, the plate bearing test was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of Top-Base foundation. Based on the test results, the coefficient of subgrade reaction, elastic modulus, and settlement of foundation on reclaimed land was derived.
We try to test the pecking order theory of Korean fisheries firm's capital structure using debt capacity. At first, we estimate the debt capacity as the probability of assigning corporate bond rating from credit-rating agencies. We use logit regression model to estimate this probability as a proxy of debt capacity. The major results of this study are as follows. Firstly, we can confirm the fisheries firm's financing behaviour which issues new debt securities for financial deficit. Empirical test of SSM model indicates that the higher probability of assigning corporate bond rating, the higher the coefficient of financial deficit. Especially, high probability group follows this result exactly. Therefore, the pecking order theory of fisheries firm's capital structure applies well for high probability group which means high debt capacity. It also applies for medium and low probability group, but their significances are not good. Secondly, the most of fisheries firms in high probability group issue new debt securities for their financial deficit. Low probability group's fisheries firms also issue new debt securities for their financial deficit within the limit of their debt capacity, but beyond debt capacity they use equity financing for financial deficit. Therefore, the pecking order theory on debt capacity come into existence well in high probability group.
This study was carried out to investigate the effect of microstructure on the damping capacity of 12Cr martensite heat-resisting steels, in case of the specimen with martensite phase contained the volume faction of ferrite phases, under 5%. The damping capacity was decreased with the increase of solution treatment temperature and time. While it was increased with the increase of tempering temperature and time. The damping capacity was higher in case of specimen with martensite single phase structure than the specimen with martensite phase contained of ferrite phases.

The typical hydraulic system of hoist is composed of a hydraulic supply unit, a directional control valve, two pilot operated check valves, two flow control valves. The capacity coefficients of flow control valves should be adjusted for the hoist to operate at moderate speed and minimize the hydraulic energy loss. However, it is difficult to adjust the four capacity coefficients of flow control valves by trial and error for optimal operation. The steady state model of the hoist hydraulic system is derived and the optimal capacity coefficients of flow control valves are obtained using the complex method that is one kind of constrained direct search method.
Horizontal drains are sometimes installed on the ground together with vertical drains in order to drain excess pore water. Taking into account the discharge capacity of horizontal drains, a new analytical method is developed in this paper, and then a new formula for the discharge capacity of horizontal drains is proposed. It is known from the analysis that the effect of the rate of surcharge loading is negligible in determining horizontal discharge capacity. This formula is described as the function of coefficient of consolidation, space of vertical drain, compression index, length of horizontal drains, and thickness of the compressible layer.
