동적 스테레오 카메라 모델링 (An active stereo camera modeling)

  • In stereo vision, camera modeling is very important because the accuracy of the three dimensional locations depends considerably on it. In the existing stereo camera models, two camera planes are located in the same plane or on the optical axis. These camera models cannot be used in the active vision system where it is necessary to obtain two stereo images simultaneously. In this paper, we propose four kinds of stereo camera models for active stereo vision system where focal lengths of the two cameras are different and each camera is able to rotate independently. A single closed form solution is obtained for all models. The influence of the stereo camera model to the field of view, occlusion, and search area used for matching is shown in this paper. And errors due to inaccurate focal length are analyzed and simulation results are shown. It is expected that the three dimensional locations of objects are determined in real time by applying proposed stereo camera models to the active stereo vision system, such as a mobile robot.

  • 본 연구에서는 우주에서 가시광 영역으로 지구의 지표면을 고해상도로 촬영하는 위성탑재카메라를 위한 복사에너지 신호량을 모델링하였다. 복사에너지 모델링은 광원으로서의 태양과 지구대기 및 지표면 반사도, 카메라의 특성 등을 포함하며 최종 계산 결과는 광전자카메라의 광검지기에서 생성되는 전자의 수로 나타난다.

  • This paper presents machine vision technique with a camera modeling that accounts for major sources of camera distortion, namely, radial, decentering, and thin prism distortion. Radial distortion causes an inward or outward displacement of a given image point from its ideal location. Actual optical systems are subject to various degrees of decentering, that is, the optical centers of lens elements are not strictly collinear. It is our purpose to develop the vision system for the pattern recognition and the automatic test of parts and to apply the line of manufacturing.

  • This paper presents machine vision technique with a camera modeling that accounts for major sources of camera distortion, namely,radial, decentering, and thin prism distortion. Radial distortion causes an inward or outward displacement of a given image point from its ideal location. Actual optical systems are subject to varios degrees of decentering,that is,the optical centers of lens elements are not strictly collinear. Thin prism distortion arises form imperfection in lens design and manufacturing as well as camera assembly.   • Rigorous sensor and dynamic modeling techniques are required if spatial information is to be accurately extracted from video imagery. First, a mathematical model for an uncalibrated video camera and a description of a bundle adjustment with added parameters, for purposes of general block triangulation, is presented. This is followed by the application of invariance-based techniques, with constraints, to derive initial approximations for the camera parameters. Finally, dynamic modeling using the Kalman Filter is discussed. The results of various experiments with real video imagery, which apply the developed techniques, are given.

  • 본 연구는 무인항공기 및 헬리콥터 등에 장착되어 운용되는 고정밀 관측 다축 구동 EO/IR 카메라의 진동해석에 관한 것이며, 카메라에 적용된 볼 베어링을 모델링 하는데 있어서 3축 스프링요소를 적용하는 방법을 제시하였고, 이것에 의한 유한요소모델의 진동 응답 결과를 얻었다. 볼 베어링을 3축 스프링 요소로 모델링한 진동해석결과는 시험결과와 비교 되었으며, 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 랜덤진동 시간이력해석을 통하여 다축 구동 EO/IR 카메라의 진동 응답 특성을 해석하고 분석하였다. 이의 연구결과는 우주용 카메라들에 사용되는 볼 베어링의 유한요소모델링 기법에 응용될 수 있다.

It is our propose to develop the vision system for the pattern recognition and the automatic test of parts and to apply the line of manufacturing. The performance of proposed vision system is illustrated by simulation and experiment.

  • 모델 기반 카메라 추적에서 추적을 위해 사용되는 3차원 객체 모델의 정확도는 매우 중요하다. 하지만 3차원 객체의 실측 모델링은 일반적으로 정교한 작업을 요구할 뿐만 아니라, 오차 없이 모델링하기가 매우 어렵다. 반면에 오차를 포함하고 있는 3차원 객체 모델을 이용하더라도 모델링 오차에 의해서 계산되는 추적 오차와 실제 사용자의 육안으로 느끼는 추적 오차는 다를 수 있다. 이는 처리비용이 높은 정밀한 모델링 과정을 요구하지 않더라도 사용자가 느끼는 오차 허용 범위 내에서 추적을 위한 객체 모델링을 효과적으로 수행할 수 있기에 중요한 측면이 된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 모델 기반 카메라 추적에서 모델링 오차에 따른 실제 정합 오차와 사용자의 육안으로 인지되는 정합 오차를 사용자 평가를 통해 비교 분석하고, 3차원 객체 모델링의 허용 오차 범위에 대해 논의한다.

Modeling of a Scan Type Magnetic Camera Image Using the Improved Dipole Model

  • The scan type magnetic camera is proposed to improve the limited spatial resolution due to the size of the packaged magnetic sensor. An image of the scan type magnetic camera, ${\partial}B/{\partial}x$ image, is useful for extracting the crack information of a specimen under a large inclined mag netic field distribution due to the poles of magnetizer. The ${\partial}B/{\partial}x$ images of the cracks of different shapes and sizes are calculated by using the improved dipole model proposed in this paper. The improved dipole model uses small divided dipole models, the rotation and relocation of each dipole model and the principle of superposition. Also for a low carbon steel specimen, the experimental results of nondestructive testing obtained by using multiple cracks are compared with the modeling results to verify the effectiveness of ${\partial}B/{\partial}x$ modeling. The improved dipole model can be used to simulate the LMF and ${\partial}B/{\partial}x$ image of a specimen with complex cracks, and to evaluate the cracks quantitatively using magnetic flux leakage testing.
