Development of An Optimal Call-response Algorithm of Construction Lift for High-rise Building Construction (초고층 건설용 리프트의 최적 호출 응답 알고리즘 개발)

  • Although the importance of the construction lift is increasing, no improvements are being made to its operating system. This study proposed an optimal call-response algorithm of the construction lift for high-rise building construction by using image sensing technology, height measuring sensor, and load cell. This algorithm makes turn-around decision of the construction lift by considering the information and the number of user. It occurs when the call comes from a floor where the construction lift already have passed. The purpose of this study is to reduce the total latency of the construction lift user. Furthermore, it is possible to prevent delay in construction duration by carrying out a priority operation of the construction lift for the critical workforce.

  • This paper describes the automated call routing for call center system based on speech recognition. We focus on the task of automatically routing telephone calls based on a users fluently spoken response instead of touch tone menus in an interactive voice response system. Vector based call routing algorithm is investigated and normalization method suggested. Call center database which was collected by KT is used for call routing experiment. Experimental results evaluating call-classification from transcribed speech are reported for that database. In case of small training data, an average call routing error reduction rate of 9% is observed when normalization method is used.

  • This paper describes the automated call routing for train ticket reservation aid system based on speech recognition. We focus on the task of automatically routing telephone calls based on user's fluently spoken response instead of touch tone menus in an interactive voice response system. Vector-based call routing algorithm is investigated and mapping table for key term is suggested. Korail database collected by KT is used for call routing experiment. We evaluate call-classification experiments for transcribed text from Korail database. In case of small training data, an average call routing error reduction rate of 14% is observed when mapping table is used.

  • Currently, the Collective Control Algorithm is the most popular elevator algorithm. The Collective Control Algorithm allows the user to use the elevator when the direction of movement of the elevator and the direction of the user's destination are the same. However, the algorithm has a problem in that only one elevator responds to a user's call when the user's waiting time and using multiple elevators. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a new hybrid HRN algorithm based on the highest response ratio next (HRN) algorithm. In general, HRN Algorithm requires a user's boarding time and getting off time, but due to the nature of the elevator, it is difficult to predict the user's call in advance. Therefore, to overcome these limitations, this paper proposes Hybrid HRN Algorithm that considers the distance between the user's call location and the arrival location. This paper shows that Hybrid HRN Algorithm, proposed through experiments, has an average waiting time of 23.34 seconds, a standard deviation of 11.86, a total moving distance of 535.2m, a total operating time of 84sec, and a driving balance between the two elevators is 92m, which is superior to the previously suggested Collective Control, Zoning, and 3-Passage Algorithm.

  • It is discussed how to determine the home location of idle vehicles in an AGVS with a loop guide path in a way of maximizing the request-call response probabilities for all demand. Optimal home position is selected by solving the simultaneous equations easily. Static positioning strategy is analyzed in which a single home position is allocated to which every vehicle is routed whenever it becomes idle. The cases of unidirectional guidepath is considered only. We provide a numerical example to illustrate the search algorithm developed for the case and compare the searched optimal solutions with the others.

  • In this paper we studied the control of overload which could bring the degradation of performance and threaten the stability of the electronic switching system. In order to get the essential requirement for overload control algorithm, we tried to extract the characteristics of commonly used algorithms by means of simulating overload control alogrithms in numerical stored program control switching model. As the result, we could find that the overload control algorithm which monitored the CPU occupancy had the best call complete rate and good response characteristecs and the algorithm using the offered load as a system state variable had a good grade of service which was represented by a short dial tone delay and 3rd quartile of deal tone delay. however, these control algorithms have no generality and need to get the control parameters by the trial-and-error method. We suggested the guidelines on the design of the overload control algorithm.

  • I studied about existent load distribution algorithms and the WLC(Weighted Least Connection) algerian that is using much at present to distribute the connection request of users to real servers efficiently in web cluster system. The efficiency of web cluster system is fallen by load imbalance between servers, because there is problem In inaccurate load status measuring of servers and measuring timing at these load distribution algorithms. In this paper, I suggest an algorithm that distributes load base on various load state of servers by real time using broadcasting RPC(Remote Procedure Call) when a user requests connection, and implement a prototype and experiment its performance. The experiment result shows that load imbalance phenomenon between reai sowers was improved greatly than existing method, and performance of web cluster system was improved by efficiency that response time is shortened.

A Robust Estimator in Multivariate Regression Using Least Quartile Difference

  • We propose an equivariant and robust estimator in multivariate regression model based on the least quartile difference (LQD) estimator in univariate regression. We call this estimator as the multivariate least quartile difference (MLQD) estimator. The MLQD estimator considers correlations among response variables and it can be shown that the proposed estimator has the appropriate equivariance properties defined in multivariate regressions. The MLQD estimator has high breakdown point as does the univariate LQD estimator. We develop an algorithm for MLQD estimate. Simulations are performed to compare the efficiencies of MLQD estimate with coordinatewise LQD estimate and the multivariate least trimmed squares estimate.
