MgAl2O4 지지체를 이용한 Pt-Sn/MgAl2O4의 프로판 탈수소 활성 연구 (A Study on the Propane Dehydrogenation activity of Pt-Sn catalyst using MgAl2O4 support)

  • 고온에서 진행되는 프로판 탈수소 반응에서 촉매의 불활성화의 주된 원인은 코크 침적, 소결현상이 있다. 이러한 불활성화를 줄이는 촉매를 연구하기 위해, 본 연구에서는 열적 안정성이 높은 $MgAl_2O_4$ 를 담체로 적용하여 프로판 탈수소 반응용 촉매로의 활용성을 확인하고자 하였다. Alcohthermal method로 $MgAl_2O_4$를 소성온도 800, 900, $1000^{\circ}C$로 달리하여 제조하였고, Pt와 Sn을 공동함침법으로 담지하여$Pt-Sn/MgAl_2O_4$촉매를 제조하였다. 열적안정성의 확인을 위해 반응온도를 고온의 650, $600^{\circ}C$에서 진행하였다. 반응실험 결과 반응온도에 상관없이 담체의 소성온도가 $800^{\circ}C$인 담체적용 촉매일 때 프로판 탈수소반응 실험의 전환율과 수율이 담체소성온도가 900, $1000^{\circ}C$인 담체적용 촉매보다 높은 것을 확인하였고, 반응온도가 고온인 $650^{\circ}C$일 때는 $Pt-Sn/{\theta}-Al_2O_3$보다도 더 높은 수율을 가지는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 특성분석으로는 TGA, BET, XRD, CO-화학흡착, SEM-EDS 분석을 실시하였다. $MgAl_2O_4-800^{\circ}C$가 좋은 수율과 Pt분산도 및 적은 불활성화 정도의 관계를 서로 연관 지어 확인하였다.

$\beta-SiC+39vol.%TiB_2$ 복합체의 전기저항률 (Electrical Resistivity of the $\beta-SiC+39vol.%TiB_2$ Composites)

  • The composites were fabricated 61 vol% $\beta$-SiC and $39vol%TiB_2$ powders with the liquid forming additives of 8, 12, 16wt% $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ by hot pressing at $1730^{\circ}C$ and subsequent pressed annealing and pressureless annealing at $1750^{\circ}C$ for 4 hours to form YAG. The result of phase analysis of composites by XRD revealed $\alpha$-SiC(6H), $TiB_2$, and YAG($Al_5Y_3O_{12}$) crystal phase. The relative density of composites were increased with increasing $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ contents. The fracture toughness showed the highest value of $7.77MPa{\cdot}m^{1/2}$ for composites added with 12wt% $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ additives at room temperature. The electrical resistivity and the resistance temperature coefficient showed the lowest of $7.3{\times}10^{-4}{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ and $3.8{\times}10^{-3}/^{\circ}C$, respectively, for composite added with 12wt% $Al_2O_3+Y_2O_3$ additives at room temperature. The electrical resistivity of the composites was all positive temperature coefficient resistance(PTCR) in the temperature range of $25^{\circ}C$ to $700^{\circ}C$.

Clay-EAF Dust계 소지의 소결온도 범위에 미치는 Al2O3의 영향 (The Effect of Al2O3 upon Firing Range of Clay-EAF Dust System Body)

  • 금속 제련공정에서 배출되는 특정폐기물인 EAF(Electrical Arc furnace) dust를 점토와 혼합하여 건축용 벽돌을 제조함에 있어 A1203의 첨가가 소결범위에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. $Al_2$O$_3$ 첨가되지 않은 시편은 1200-125$0^{\circ}C$에서 과량의 액상에 의해 기포가 형성되고 개기공(open pores)이 감소함으로 겉보기 밀도가 크게 감소하였으며 125$0^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 기포가 시편 외부로 소멸되어 흡수율이 증가되었다. 그러나 $Al_2$O$_3$가 첨가된 Clay-Dust 계 소결체는 1200-125$0^{\circ}C$ 구간에서 소결온도에 따른 밀도 변화율이 크게 감소되었고, 125$0^{\circ}C$ 이상에서는 흡수율(%)의 증가율이 둔화되었다. $Al_2$O$_3$가 첨가되지 않은 시편은 1275$^{\circ}C$에서 소결된 경우 cristobalite상이 주된 상인 반면, mullite(3Al$_2$O$_3$ 2SiO$_2$)상은 소량 합성되었고, 원료성분인 hematite(FeAl$_2$O$_4$)는 소멸되지 않아 액상이 과량 생성되는 조성임을 확인하였다. 반면 $Al_2$O$_3$가 l5 wt% 첨가된 시편의 경우, 1275$^{\circ}C$에서 cristobalite는 완전 소멸되고 mullite상이 합성되어 주상이 되며, hematite 상이 일부 AI$_2$O$_3$와 반응하여 hercynite(FeAl$_2$O$_4$)상을 형성하여 액상 생성량이 많지 않을 것으로 분석되었다. 이상의 결과로부터 Clay-Dust계에 $Al_2$O$_3$를 첨가하면 액상의 발생량과 특성 및 결정상 종류를 변화시켜줌으로써 시편물성의 변화율을 감소시켜 소결온도 범위를 넓히는 효과가 있는 것으로 분석되었다.

나노 MgO-CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 glass 첨가제를 가진 AlN의 소결거동 및 열전도도 (Sintering Behavior and Thermal Conductivity of Aluminum Nitride Ceramics with MgO-CaO-Al2O3-SiO2 Nano-glass Additive)

  • In this study, $MgO-CaO-Al_2O_3-SiO_2$ (MCAS) nanocomposite glass powder having a mean particle size of 50 nm and a specific surface area of $40m^2/g$ is used as a sintering additive for AlN ceramics. Densification behaviors and thermal properties of AlN with 5 wt% MCAS nano-glass additive are investigated. Dilatometric analysis and isothermal sintering of AlN-5wt% MCAS compact demonstrates that the shrinkage of the AlN specimen increases significantly above $1,300^{\circ}C$ via liquid phase sintering of MCAS additive, and complete densification could be achieved after sintering at $1,600^{\circ}C$, which is a reduction in sintering temperature by $200^{\circ}C$ compared to conventional $AlN-Y_2O_3$ systems. The MCAS glass phase is satisfactorily distributed between AlN particles after sintering at $1,600^{\circ}C$, existing as an amorphous secondary phase. The AlN specimen attained a thermal conductivity of $82.6W/m{\cdot}K$ at $1,600^{\circ}C$.

$Li_2O$.$Al_2O_3$.$SiO_2$ 계 유리에서 RO치환 및 $R_2O_3$ 첨가에 따른 결정화 특성 (The Crystallization Characteristics Change in $Li_2O$.$Al_2O_3$.$SiO_2$ System Glass-Ceramics when Varying of RO Ratio and Increasing $R_2O_3$)

  • In the study the characteristics change of crystallized $Li_2O$.$Al_2O_3$.$SiO_2$ glass-ceramics when varying RO ratio and increasing Al2O3 were investigated to produce a glass-ceramics with high mechanical strength and low thermal expansion. Parent glass was obtained by melting at 1,350~1,40$0^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours and annealing at 45$0^{\circ}C$ and the various physical characteristics were measured. Results were as follows; 1. When ZnO was replaced by MgO thermal expansion coefficient was lowered when increasing ZnO content. 2. Major crystal phase was $\beta$-spodumene the crystal growth mophology was the three dimensional sphere and the activation energy for crystallization was 54.6 Kcal/mol. 3. Parent glass heat-treated at 95$0^{\circ}C$ for 10 hours had ; a) thermal expansion coeff. of $23.2{\times}10^{-7}$/$^{\circ}C$ b)whiteness of 76 c) microhardness of 1,089kg/$mm^2$

Zircon 소결에 미치는 첨가제의 영향 (Effect of Minor Additives on Sintering of Zircon)

  • Effects on the sintering of zircon by minor additives such as $Al_2O_3$, MgO and CaO were studied at $1450^{\circ}C$~$1550^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes. Shrinkage, compressive strength, bulk density and apparent porosity of sintered specimens were measured in relation to content of minor additives and temperature. Mineral constitutions of the sintered specimens were idenified with X-ray diffractometer. And microstructures of the sintered specimens were observed by scanning electron microscope. The results obtained were as follow. 1) Effect ofthe minor additives such as Al2O3, MgO and CaO on the sintering of zircon was related to reaction between added oxide and silica by dissociation of zircon. 2) Zircon did not dissociate at $1550^{\circ}C$, but it did slightly on the specimen added by Al2O3 5 wt% at $1550^{\circ}C$. 3) Sintering of zircon was promoted by the addition of MgO, $(Al_2O_3+CaO)$ and (MgO+CaO), then, this phenomenon was due to the formation of liquid phase.

  • Al$_2$O$_3$-5 vol% SiC 나노복합재료의 sinter plus HIP에 의한 치밀화시 일어나는 기공의 변화에 초점을 두어 치밀화 거동을 관찰하였다. $Al_2$O$_3$-SiC 시편은 질소분위기 중의 상압소결과 이후의 열간정수압소결(HIP)에 의해 완전치밀화가 이루어졌다. 155$0^{\circ}C$의 상압소결에 의해서는 90%의 비교적 낮은 상대밀도가 얻어졌으나, 기공의 폐기공화로 이후의 열간정수압소결(HIP)에 의해 99.6%의 완전치밀화가 가능하였다. 상압소결한 시편을 X-선 회절기와 주사전자현미경(SEM)으로 관찰한 결과, 선택적으로 시편 표면부에서만 SiAl$_{6}$O$_2$N$_{6}$과 AlN 등으로 이루어진 치밀화된 반응층을 확인할 수 있었으며, 이러한 표면 반응층이 비교적 낮은 상대밀도의 시편내의 모든 기공을 폐기공화하는 효과를 주는 것을 알 수 있었다.

반응 소결 SiC 소결체의 마찰마모특성에 미치는 첨가제 $Al_2O_3$$Fe_2O_3$ 의 영향 (Effect of $Al_2O_3$ and $Fe_2O_3$ Tribological Properties of Reaction Bonded SiC)

  • When ceramics are used as the parts of an engine and a machine, the tribological properties are very important. For the preparation of the resistance material for wear applications by the method of Reaction-Bonded Sintering, metal silicon and carbon black are mixed up into SiC powder, and Al2O3 and Fe2O3 are put as an additive. As the general properties, the bending strength and water absortion are measured in the normal temperature and the phase changies are investigated with XRD. The property of the resistance for wear applications is measured with the amount of friction and wear, friction coefficient and maximum asperties. And, the surface of wear is observed with SEM. With the results of this study, the optimal mol ratio of Si : C and the suitable quantity of the mixture of SiC are 7 : 3 and 40 wt%, respectively. In the case of the addition of Al2O3 (2 wt%), the resistance for friction and wear applications is prominent. The bending strength showed the highest peak when Al2O3 (4 wt%) and Fe2O3 (4 wt%) were added. The properties of friction and wear were related with the propagation velocity of crack rather than the bending strength.

니켈기 인코넬 713합금의 800-1100℃에서의 대기중 고온산화 (High-temperature Oxidation of Ni-based Inconel 713 Alloys at 800-1100℃ in Air)

  • The Ni-based superalloy, Inconel 713, was oxidized at $800{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$ for 50 and 100 hours in air. It displayed excellent oxidation resistance, forming a few micrometer-thick scales. The major scale was ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$. Other scales formed were $TiO_2$, $NiAl_2O_4$ and $Cr_2O_3$. Generally, uniform oxidation occurred over the alloy surface, resulting in the formation of ${\alpha}-Al_2O_3$ with and without $Cr_2O_3$. Other oxides such as $TiO_2$ and $NiAl_2O_4$ sometimes also formed. Locally, nodular oxidation occurred at the nodules that consisted of diverse alloying elements. The scales were adherent at $800^{\circ}C$. However, they spalled a little at $900{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$.

세리사이드 분해에 의한 고순도 Al2O3의 제조 및 특성에 관한 연구 (Fabrication and Characterization of High Purity Al2O3 by Decomposition of Selicite)

  • High purity Al2O3 has been extracted from serlcite of clayminerals, selicite was treated by H2SO4(2N∼18N) solution, NH4OH treatment(PH8.5∼10.0) and metallic impurities such as Fe were removed by NaOH treatment. The tendency of extraction yield of ${\alpha}$-Al2O3 have been investigated by relating reaction time, acid concentration. Reaction products were analyzed by DT-TGA, chemical analysis and X-ray diffractometer. Prepared ${\alpha}$-Al2O3 power is fired in air at 1400$^{\circ}C$, 1600$^{\circ}C$ 2hr. The results are as follows; 1. The most suitable extracting conditions of ${\alpha}$-Al2O3 from Selicite were N-H2SO4, 120 min acidtreating time. 2. The optimum pH condition was 9.0. 3. Physical properties of sintered Al2O3 bodies were as follows. Relative density is 99%. Water absorption is 0.26%. Rock well hardness is 89.
