The Institute Time Clauses-Hulls 1/10/83 has been using widely with attachment and/or endorsement of the Institute Warranties 1/7/76 stipulating vessel's trading limits. Taking into consideration of several changes and renewals on the contents of the Institute Time Clauses-Hulls for clarifying the clauses themselves with development on technology of vessel's construction and navigational equipments up to the present, the clauses on the Institute Warranties 1/7/76 should have been changed and/or renewed. Moreover, the insured still has been burdening additional premium in vessel's navigating and / or calling to the areas stipulated in the Institute Warranties 1/7/76 regardless of any changes of marine business environments. Thus, this study aims to analyze the Institute Warranties 1/7/76 as well as to suggest a reasonable level of additional premium for breach of Institute warranties through not only a comparative analysis between the Institute Warranties clauses and those of the corresponding Institute Warranties using in the Japanese Fire and Marine Insurance companies but also consideration of current circumstances on changes in climatic conditions, vessel design, navigation and communication requirements and capabilities.
Recently ontology has been an attractive technology along with the business strategy of providing a plenty of more intelligent services. The essential problem in application domains using ontology is that all members, agents, and application programs in the domains must share the same ontology concepts. However, a variety of mobile devices, sensing devices, and network components manufactured by various companies, a variety of common carriers, and a variety of contents providers make multiple heterogeneous ontologies more likely to coexist. We can see many past researches fallen into resolving this semantic interoperability. Such methods can be broadly classified into by-mapping, by-merging, and by-translation. In this research, we focus on by-translation among them which uses a translation rule directly made between two heterogeneous ontology data like OntoMorph. However, the manual composition of the direct translation rule is not convenient by itself and if there are N ontologies, the direct method has the rule composition complexity of $O(N^2)$ in the worst case. Therefore, in this paper we introduce the cascade composition of translation rules based on web openness in order to improve the complexity. The research result made us recognize some important factors in an ontology translation system, that is speediness of translation, and conveniency of translation rule composition, and some experiments and comparing analysis with existing methods showed that our cascade method has more conveniency with insuring the speediness and the correctness.

Human being does work to live out and they have their private life because human has sociality. Both work and life are important to live out but they are on the trade-off relationship. Because keeping the balance between work and life is too hard, it has been interested by academic and practical areas. Definition of Work-life balance here is that balance or imbalance arising between work and life has no negative impact on their daily life. Above all, Work-life balance is important because it is strongly related to identity. Recently, the introduction of the mobile office system has emerged as a way to solve the problem of work-life balance. It is based on the teleworking which was formerly generated. Teleworking is to perform the work in the employee's home or office space set aside without going into the workplace. Concept of the mobile office system here is not only using portable devices during work for convenience but also the system which is designed for the performance. Thanks to the diffusion of smart devices(smart phone, tablet pc), mobile office system has been spread. Although the importance of mobile office systems is emerging, there are few researches about it. Even they mostly focus on the standpoint of performance of mobile office system. However, Quality of life is as important as the performance. As a part of Quality of Life field, Work-life balance is the closest to employee's quality of life. So this study aims to examine the effect of the use of mobile office systems on work-life balance. To do so, we try to find factors effecting Work-life balance from existing studies and then set a research model. We set the use of mobile office systems as independent variables which are divided by use of function, use by location and use by situation. There are four dependent variables - sense of self command, sense of balance, solving work problem, solving life problem. We collected data from employees who are using mobile office systems on their job. 215 people were participated in the survey and we used multiple regression analysis to verify our research model. Results show that every independent variable has no impact on solving work problem while they have slight impact on the other dependent variables. Especially use on the business trip has significant effect on dependent variables. It means that there is a possibility use of mobile office system could control the employee's quality of life and system should be evolved until it covers even critical tasks. Also, support for mobile office system -education, encouragement-should be provided. By mobile office system is maturing, future research would be done.
Current socioeconomic condition in South Korea is characterized by growing country with highly unemployment rate. Enhancing service industry, therefore, is one of the important government policy issues. In addition to quantitative growth of service industries, OECD comparisons between countries as shown in the competitiveness of the domestic service industry, followed by a very low-level, enhancing the competitiveness of service industries are also important issues of national policy. In particular, finance, education, insurance industry, such as relatively large enterprises have entered the service industry to remain competitive and comparable, but the case of small service industries, has shown a very low level of competitiveness. Thus, the world's leading technology and IT infrastructure can be applied to small and medium-sized service industry in order to improve productivity, customer satisfaction, and service infrastructure, resulting in improving competitiveness. The purpose of this study is to develop government supporting policy issues by analyzing the current usage of IT, problems and requirement analysis, and critical success factors for applying IT to small and medium-sized service industries. For a survey 2,000 samples are collected from service companies. The results show that IT usage is very important to improve competitiveness in small and medium sized service industry. In addition, customized it solutions are needed to satisfy different characteristics of service industry depends on types of business. Finally, government supporting programs of IT has to be improved. The results would be able to provide directions and guide lines of IT utilization in service industries.

Geographic Information Systems(GIS) are very useful for spatial analysis and policy in local government administration. Recognizing the value of GIS, Chungnam province authorities put a spur on the introduction and development of it. But they have some difficulty in this process because of technical restraint, expertise shortage and budget limit. This study has surveyed current achievement and conditions for GIS development and presented general framework and subordinate tasks to build up GIS. First of all, there are a few prior conditions to guarantee the success of GIS: First, we should set up reasonable long-term plan and follow systematic procedures according to the plan. Second, it is essential to clarify what initiatively manage to whole business and so we should make up GIS-Board as an institutional center for this job. Third, we must research how to take advantage of already existing NGIS(National Geographic Information System), so that we may eliminate redundancy of investment. We can save a lot of finance and human resources through it. Fourth, we must focus on the importance of accurate mapping by utilizing new technology like GPS(Global Positioning System). Fifth, we should arrange efficient training program to constantly produce excellent human resources for GIS.
This study aims to contribute to the improvement of the patent activity of small and medium-sized enterprises in the future by proposing five strategies for enhancing customized patent activity for small and medium-sized enterprises under the assumption that patent application affects firm performance. The subjects of this study were 25 years of active patent activity, using patent activity statistics for 5 years from 2010 and statistical data of business performance based on 2014. The research procedure was conducted in the order of DEA-BCC efficiency analysis, patent activity analysis, and patent portfolio analysis, and then propose a strategy to improve patent activity. As a result of the research, it was confirmed that 5 industries with high patent activity and IRS type have a substantial effect on improving corporate performance as an industry with high patent efficiency. On the other hand, there are 12 industries in the form of IRS/DRS, and 8 industries with low patent activity, DRS, CRS/IRS mixed type and IRS, and that the efficiency of the patent may vary depending on the characteristics of each industry.
In the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution, artificial intelligence (AI) has become one of the core technologies in terms of the business strategy among information technology companies. Both international and domestic major portal companies are launching AI search services. These AI search services utilize voice, images, and other unstructured data to provide different experiences from existing text-based search services. An unfamiliar experience is a factor that can hinder the usability of the service. Therefore, the usability testing of the AI search services is necessary. This study examines the usability of the AI search service on the Naver App 8.9.3 beta version by comparing it with the search services of the current Naver App and targets 30 people in their 20s and 30s, who have experience using Naver apps. The usability of Smart Lens, Smart Voice, Smart Around, and AiRS, which are the Naver App beta versions of their artificial intelligence search service, is evaluated and statistically significant usability changes are revealed. Smart Lens, Smart Voice, and Smart Around exhibited positive changes, whereas AiRS exhibited negative changes in terms of usability. This study evaluates the change in usability according to the application of the artificial intelligence search services and investigates the correlation between the evaluation factors. The obtained data are expected to be useful for the usability evaluation of services that use AI.
In the services industry and firms, the successful new service development is very important issue today, But the innovation process for service firms is comprehensively little treated until now. This study was performed to suggest the new service development process model for the firms level in the perspective of the radical service innovation. So, in this paper the new process development model can be made by reviewing the concepts about the radical service innovation and by analyzing the some existing new service development process models. In the suggested service development process model, the three key process such as technology forecast, market analysis, and strategy development were included for front phase activity as the new service development process. Also the four key process for searching phase, and the other three key process for implementation phase were included. And for the application for the service firms' service innovation, the innovation's outcome estimation reference model is included. I hope to be executed the various case research and the improvement and optimization for this suggested process model in the future.
According to the structural contingency theories, organizational structures are determined by such a contingency variables as organizational environment, technology, size, power and strategy. Therefore, many scholor believed that organizational effectiveness will be maximized in the condition of the fit between organizational structure and its contingency variables. But contingency theories have limitations in explaining of the manager's discretion by way of environmental determinism. In 1972, Child introduced strategic choice theory, and this perspective spurred significant, systematic studies of the influence of the managerial voluntary will on the organizational performance. Especially, the question of whether tap managers have an impact on business performance has been addressed by the strategic leadership theory that demonstrates strong associations between the characteristics of top managers, strategic orientation. Therefore, this study has investigated a theoretical literature and an empirical survey that explains the impact of top manger characteristics and organizational characteristics about strategic orientation. In order tn do that, this study develops a research model on the subjects, designed manager's characteristics, strategic typology. Managerial characteristics could be operationalized in terms of demographic measures. In this study, strategic orientation was classified using the Miles & Snow typology. This research model provides hypotheses. Hypotheses H1: The demographic characteristics of the tap manager will differ according to the types of strategic types. H2: The organizational characteristics of the firm will differ according to the types of strategic types. To test these hypotheses, this study conducted questionaire surveys on 108 firms in the Korea national wide. This study has utilized ANOVA, Chi-square analysis, cluster analysis, discriminant analysis for testing the hypotheses. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows. First, this study builds on the central tenent of cotingency theory in provide a comprehensive explanation of the process by which top manager's influence. Second, Manager's characteristics(demographics) are different from each other according to 4 strategic types(Prospector, Defender, Analyzer, Reactor). Third, Organizational characteristics are different from each other according to 4 strategic types. In conclusion, the major contributions of this study are to examine the development of a more comprehensive theoretical framework in the strategic leadership theory and to analyze their contingent relationships among managerial characteristics, organizational characteristics and strategic types in the context of Korea's industry.

The competition among nations has been extended to competition between localities, and the importance of knowledge activities in local areas is being emphasized. To contribute to the nurturing of highly qualified professionals and the development of local industry, the Korean government established the S&T-centric research universities including KAIST in 5 local areas. These S&T-centric research universities are top notch research centers and educational environments in Korea. However, it has been pointed out that their ability to act as local innovation hubs is limited. Accordingly, this study conducted an empirical analysis on the outcomes of the S&T-centric research universities by dividing them into two categories, Mode 1 and Mode 2, and comparing them with those of other general universities. It was found that the outcomes of the S&T-centric universities were higher in Mode 1, but lower in Mode 2, than those of the general universities. Furthermore, the S&T-centric universities are not connected very much to the region's specialized industries. It was difficult to find any evidence that the S&T-centric universities differ from the other universities in terms of their outcomes or activities as they were initially envisaged.
