중국 기업 근로자들의 고용불안정이 조직몰입과 이직의도에 미치는 영향: 갈등의 매개효과 (The Impact of Employment Insecurity on Organizational Commitment and Turnover Intention in Chinese Enterprises Workers: The Focusing on Mediation Effect of Organization Conflict)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of employment insecurity on organizational commitment and turnover intention, and mediating roles of conflict in Chinese enterprise workers. We examined the theoretical background and conducted an empirical study. The statistical analysis results revealed the following. First, employment insecurity has significant negative effects on organizational commitment and positive effects on turnover intention. Second, employment insecurity has significant positive effects on task and relationship conflicts. Third, task and relationship conflicts have positive significant effects on turnover intention. Fourth, intragroup conflicts (task and relationship conflicts) have partial mediating effects between employment insecurity and organizational commitment, and turnover intention, but task conflicts have no mediating effects between employment insecurity and organizational commitment. On the basis of the research findings, this paper discusses the theoretical and empirical implications of the research, and provides directions for future research.

Factors Influencing Oriental Art Gallery Business and Strategies to Promote Sales of Oriental Art Works

  • Purpose: The current research based on the comprehensive literature evaluation aims to gain insight into the factors contributing to an Oriental art gallery's success and the strategies used to advertise and sell these works effectively. Understanding and experience in Oriental art are essential for finding solutions to these issues. Research design, data and methodology: The current research conducted the following stages to conduct a thorough literature analysis on the issues that plague Oriental art gallery practitioners and the methods used to increase sales of this kind of art: Finding Valuable Resources and Subjects, Screening and Selection of Articles, Data Extraction and Analysis, Synthesis of Findings. Results: After reviewing the many aspects that affect the success of a gallery specializing in Oriental art, there were four key approaches that have emerged for boosting sales of this kind of artwork. Based on the findings, these approaches are grounded in four areas: consumer preferences; marketing methods; pricing strategies; and art investments. Conclusions: All in all, the current study finally indicates that practitioners should consider cultural background, age, gender, income, and level of education when developing marketing strategies and selecting artwork to exhibit. Target marketing is an effective method for attracting and retaining customers.

Examining the Economic Effects of Logistics Infrastructure: The Case of New Western Land-Sea Corridor in China

  • Purpose: To examine the economic effects of logistics under the influence of policies. Research design, data and methodology: This study is the first to use the panel data of 31 provinces and municipalities in China from 2012 to 2021, and use the OLS and DID models to evaluate whether the New Western Land-Sea Corridor (NWLSC) has promoted the economic development of the regions along the corridor. Results: The NWLSC has stimulated local economic growth by promoting the development of transportation, postal, and telecommunications industries along the corridor. Further, considering the locational differences of the regions along the NWLSC, we examined the differences in economic effects between regions along the Yangtze River and those not along the Yangtze River under the background of NWLSC implementation. We found that waterway and airway transport located along the NWLSC and in the Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) region can significantly promote economic growth. However, for regions located along the NWLSC but not in the YREB region, the impact of roadway, railway, and airway transport in these regions on economic growth is more significant. Conclusions: This study has important reference value on how to use logistics to promote the economic and cross-border commerce development of landlocked countries or regions.

미국기업의 CSR 활동에 애널리스트가 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Impact of Analyst Expectations and Coverage on CSR Engagement of U.S. Firms)

  • Despite the numerous advantages that CSR engagement can potentially offer, top managers may not always be willing to invest in CSR as they are expected to meet expectations of external constituents in the short run. Given that financial analysts' expectations are important short-term performance targets that top managers are motivated to meet, this study examines how performance relative to earnings forecasts issued by analysts affect top managers' decisions about CSR engagement. Using a sample of publicly listed U.S. firms from 2000 to 2016, we find that top managers are more likely to reduce discretionary expenditure on CSR activities as performance falls below analyst forecasts to improve financial performance in the following fiscal year. As performance exceeds analyst forecasts, top managers are motivated to reduce CSR investments in order to meet higher expectations of analysts. As financial analysts closely monitor the firms that they follow in order to publish investment advice to market participants, we find that analyst coverage weakens top managers' incentive to reduce CSR engagement. Overall, this research sheds meaningful insight into the contextual background in which the top managers are situated in when they make decisions on CSR engagement.

중국 기업 최고경영자 팀의 배경특성과 국제화 간의 관계와 이사회 독립성의 조절효과에 대한 연구 (Moderating Effect of Board Independency on the Relations between TMT's Characteristics and Firm's Internationalization)

  • 기업 국제화에 영향을 미치는 요소들에 대한 선행연구들은 주로 선진국 다국적 기업을 대상으로 진행되어 온 반면, 신흥국 기업의 국제화에 영향을 미치는 요소들에 대한 연구는 매우 부족한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 2011-2013년 '중국500대기업 발전보고서'에 포함된 총 237개 상장기업들을 대상으로, 각 기업 최고경영자팀(TMT)의 국제화관련 교육 및 경험적 배경특성들과 기업의 국제화 정도 간의 관계와 사외이사 비율과 CEO/이사회 의장직 분리로 측정한 이사회 독립성의 조절효과를 분석하였다. 다중회귀분석결과는 중국 다국적기업 TMT의 해외업무경험비율은 기업의 국제화 정도와 정의 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 TMT의 해외교육배경과 국제화관련전공자비율은 기업의 국제화 정도와 유의한 관계가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이사회 독립성의 조절효과와 관련해서는 사외이사비율과 CEO/이사회 의장직 분리 모두 TMT의 해외업무경험비율과 국제화 간의 정의 관계를 약화시키는 반면, 국제화관련전공자비율과 국제화 간의 정의 관계는 강화시키는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과는 실무차원의 국제운영지식에 영향을 미치는 TMT의 해외업무경험은 국제화 전략에 대한 최고경영자들의 과신과 위험감수성향을 강화시켜 기업의 국제화 정도를 강화시키는 반면, 관련시장에 대한 지식과 정보 제공과 관련한 교육적인 배경특성들은 최고경영자들의 과신과 위험감수성향에 영향을 강화하지 않음을 시사한다.

노사협의제 성격의 국제비교 (The Comparative Analysis of the Joint Labor-Management Consultation)

  • 본격적인 글로벌 경쟁시대로 돌입한 현재 기업의 경쟁력을 강화시키기 위해서는 협력적이고 문제해결적인 구도의 노사관계가 절실히 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 주요국가들의 노사협의제의 성격을 비교분석하여 노사협의제의 본질을 보다 명확히 규명하고, 이에 따른 우리나라 노사협의제의 발전방향을 모색하는데 초점을 맞추었다. 비교결과 각 국가마다 노사협의제 도입 배경 및 방법, 노사협의제의 종류 및 권한, 적용대상, 단체교섭과의 관계에 있어서 차이를 보이고 있다. 미국과 일본은 노사협의제가 노사 자주의사에 의하여 설치된 반면 독일, 프랑스 그리고 우리나라는 법적강제에 의하여 설치되었고, 독일, 프랑스, 미국의 노사협의제는 대체적으로 공동결정권한도 부여되어 있으나 일본과 우리나라는 협의권한만 부여되어 있다. 적용대상도 미국과 일본은 별다른 제약이 없으나 독일, 프랑스, 그리고 우리나라는 일정수 이상의 근로자를 고용하는 사업장으로 제한되어있다. 이러한 차이는 크게는 단체교섭을 중심으로한 노사관계의 역사적 발전, 작게는 노사협의제의 역사적 발전의 차이에서 찾아볼 수 있다. 그러나 현대사회의 급속한 제 환경변화 및 치열한 국제경쟁, 그리고 상승된 근로자의 욕구를 고려 할 때 우리나라의 노사협의제의 방향도 공동의사결정으로의 진전을 모색하여야 될 것으로 사료된다.

  • 최근 기업의 사회적책임(CSR)에 대한 사회로부터의 관심증대와 기업의 지속적 경쟁우위확보를 위한 기업혁신의 중요한 전략적 수단으로 많은 기업들은 CSR을 적극 활용하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자원기반관점(RBV) 측면에서 중소기업 특유의 조직역량들과 자발적이고 적극적인 CSR활동인 선제적 CSR, 수동적이고 소극적 CSR활동인 반응적 CSR 및 경영성과 상호간에 미치는 영향관계에 대하여 설문조사를 바탕으로 통계분석기법 등을 활용하여 실증조사 분석하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 중소기업 특유의 조직역량들은 선제적 CSR과는 유의미한 관계가 존재하였다. 둘째, 선제적 CSR은 경영성과와 유의미한 관계가 있는 반면에 반응적 CSR은 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 중소기업 특유의 조직역량들은 경영성과에 직접적으로는 영향을 주지는 않으나 가치창조활동인 선제적 CSR활동에 의하여 간접적으로 경영성과로 연결됨을 발견하는 등 기존 자원기반관점(RBV)이론관련 선행연구들과 일치함을 확인할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구결과는 향후 CSR과 자원기반관점이론 연구에 기여할 것으로 본다.

Brands and Competing Factors in Purchasing Hand Phones in the Malaysian Market

  • Hand phones are standard paraphernalia among university students. Factors that motivate them to own the gadget would be of interest to both the students as well as marketers. Hand phone usage is an unexamined field in academic literature, this exploratory study attempts to investigate student purchasing motives in cellular phone markets. It also intends to know the student's satisfaction with the different services and its future impact on socio economic changes. In this study, undergraduates (n=336) were requested to specify their purchase criteria of hand phone. The instrument used in the study to collect feedback from the respondents contains a combination of open-ended and scaled questions, and some background demographics. The study employed content analysis, Pearson's correlation, and t-tests as the primary tools to analyze the responses. Results show that brand was rated as the most important factor in student purchase decisions. Other factors, arranged in decreasing order of importance comprise price, product quality, features, durability, availability, promotion, and post purchase service. Brand and price correlated significantly. It is also observed that there is very little difference regarding preference between brand and price in purchasing a hand phone. Marketers may formulate suitable strategies out of the findings to promote hand phones to university undergraduates in Malaysia by emphasizing at brands and price.

조직문화와 BPC 유형의 적합도가 BPC성공에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effect of the Fit between the Type of Business Process Change and Organizational Culture on the Business Process Change Success)

  • Business Process Change(BPC) is regarded as a salient factor to improve an organizations' efficiency in the current fast-changing business environment. Despite the tremendous popularity and great potential, the field of BPC adoption is littered with remarkable failures. Consequently, there have been many studies that have tried to identify the environmental factors that lead to successful BPC. However, most of them have not considered the effect of the interaction between the environmental factors on BPC success. According to Klempa(1995), the fit between environmental factors of a company may have the impact on its BPC success. Under this background, this paper empirically examines the effects of the fit between the type of BPC and the organization's culture on the success of BPC. Organization's cultures, organizational learning, as well as knowledge sharing are the dominant causes that have impact on the innovation characters of organization. Whether an organization has safety-oriented homogeneous culture or it has the change-oriented heterogeneous culture may have impact on its implementation of BPC. Also the implementation of BPC may be affected by whether the organization adopts the improvement project which accompanies only small changes or it adopts the innovation project which leads to critical changes. Thus, we analyzed the effect of the fit between the organization's culture and its BPC type on BPC success by using the survey data collected from the companies that have adopted BPC. The findings presented in this paper show that the organization having heterogeneous culture practicing innovation project and the organization having homogeneous culture practicing the improvement project resulted in the excellent BPC success.

단위수산업협동조합의 이사회제도에 대한 수용자태도분석 (Analysis of Accepters' Attitudes toward the Board of Directors System of Fisheries Cooperatives)

  • According to the Fisheries Cooperative Law, the Fisheries Cooperative has made a substantial contribution to the development of Korea's fisheries industry amid the nation's rapid economic growth and drastic social changes since its establishment in April 1st 1962, It is, however, generally believed that the cooperative has made a poor performance in improving its business constitution. Therefore, the reform of its board of director system is one of the ways to strengthen the constitution. For the purpose of making the board of director system to operate rationally, this dissertation is divided into five chapters. Chapter I provides an overview of this study, such as research background and objectives. Chapter II focuses on the Fisheries Cooperative's board of director: its function, composition, and election. Chapter III analyzes the responses of the Fisheries cooperatives to questionnaires about the board of director system, and subsequently presents the causes and the meaning of the analysis results. Chapter IV deals with the various ways to improve the Fisheries Cooperative's board of director system, including director and cooperative governance. Finally, Chapter V draws a conclusion of this study. The independent function of the Cooperative's board of director and responsible directorship is one of the most important factors which can prevent the Cooperative from insolvency. Unlike the past, not only it has become difficult to keep the Cooperative's business under the government's support, but also the Cooperative itself is now facing a situation where the support from the government cannot be expected. This ist he reason why the Cooperative should manage itself autonomously, workout its organization, and respond to the current situation with a renovativemanagement and business strategy. Therefore, a rational operation of the board of director is urgently needed.
