벌크화물용 포장용기의 최적 설계(II)-프로그램 개발 (Optimum Design of Packaging Container for Bulk Materials(II)-Computer Program Development)

  • If optimum design technique is applied in the design of packaging container for bulk materials, merits on the side of not only economic and compression performance but distribution efficiency are expected. In this study, on the ground of the optimum models for required board area and compression strength performance, optimum design program having faculties of outward and inward optimum design and information design was developed. This program was composed of input module, output module, database and management module, and calculation module. Though the packaging specifications ars same, requied board area, board composition and cost of container were greatly different according to exterior packaging conditions. Also, about 12% in weight of container was lighter, and about $13{\sim}17%$ in cost of container was reduced when the program was applied for 2 kinds of bulk materials.

  • This paper describes the theoretical analysis and performance of a 2.4㎓ bulk-driven downconversion mixer, where the LO signal is input via the bulk. A mixer core designed with a 0.18$\mu\textrm{m}$ CMOS process is able to operate under 0.8V∼1V supply voltage. The RF, LO, and IF port frequencies are 2.45㎓, 2.4㎓, and 50MHz, respectively. The measurement results exhibit conversion gain of -1.8㏈, l㏈ compression point of -17㏈m and IIP3 of -4㏈m with 0㏈m LO power. The power consumption is as small as 4mW.

Supramax Bulk Carrier Market Forecasting with Technical Indicators and Neural Networks

  • Supramax bulk carriers cover a wide range of ocean transportation requirements, from major to minor bulk cargoes. Market forecasting for this segment has posed a challenge to researchers, due to complexity involved, on the demand side of the forecasting model. This paper addresses this issue by using technical indicators as input features, instead of complicated supply-demand variables. Artificial neural networks (ANN), one of the most popular machine-learning tools, were used to replace classical time-series models. Results revealed that ANN outperformed the benchmark binomial logistic regression model, and predicted direction of the spot market with more than 70% accuracy. Results obtained in this paper, can enable chartering desks to make better short-term chartering decisions.

  • A CMOS op amp with rail-to-rail input and output ranges is designed in a one-volt supply. The output stage of the op amp is used in a common source amplifier that operates in sub-threshold region to design a low voltage op amp with rail-to-tail output range. To drive heavy resistor and capacitor loads with rail-to-rail output ranges, a common source amplifier which has a low output resistance is utilized. A bulk-driven differential pair and a bulk-driven folded cascode amplifier are used in the designed op amp to increase input range and achieve 1 V operation. Post layout simulation results show that low frequency gain is about 58 ㏈ and gain bandwidth I MHz. The designed op amp has been fabricated in a 0.8${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ standard CMOS process. The measured results show that this op amp provides rail-to-rail output range, 56㏈ dc gain with 1 MΩ load and has 0.4 MHz gain-bandwidth with 130 ㎊ and 1 kΩ loads.

졸-겔법에 의한 실리카 유리의 제조와 DCCA로서의 Glycerol의 영향 (Silica Glass Preparation by The Sol-Gel Process and The Effects of Glycerol as a DCCA)

  • In this study we studied the function of Glycerol as a DCCA(Drying Control Chemical Additives) in the preparation of silica bulk glas through Sol-Gel method. We used TEOS(Tetra Ethyl Ortho Silicate) and maintained the mixing ratio of TEOS : H2O : EtOH : HCI as 1 : 4 : 4 : 0.0007(mol) and varied glycerol input quantity from 0.1vol% considering the ethnaol input quantity as 100vol%. We investigated the changes from Sol-Gel Synthetic solutions to the glass using DT-TG, FT-IR and other instruments. The results obtained from this experiment showed that the dried gels made from the synthetic solutions containing 0.1-1.0vol% of glycerol were easily heat-treated up to 85$0^{\circ}C$ so that transparant bulk silica glass was prepared.

  • 본 논문에서는 IEEE 무선랜 AP에 여러개의 네트웍이 연결되어 있는 시스템, 즉 하나의 입력을 통해서 패킷이 집단 도착하여, 여러개의 서버를 통하여 서비스되는 시스템의 성능을 분석하기 위한 것으로서, 큐잉모델(G $I^{⒳}$ /M/c/N)을 이용하여 분석을 시도하였다. 본 논문에서는 평형상태 확률을 통하여 여러 가지 파라미터들을 알아보고, 각 파라미터들을 통하여 평균 대기시간, 차단확률 등을 살펴보게 된다.

A High-performance X/Y-axis Microaccelerometer Fabricated on SOI Wafer without Footing Using the Sacrificial Bulk Micromachining (SBM) Process

  • In this paper, a x/y-axis accelerometer is fabricated, using the SBM process on a <111> SOI wafer. This fabrication method solves the problem of the footing phenomenon in the conventional SOI process for improved manufacturability and performance. The roughened lower parts as well as the loose silicon fragments due to the footing phenomenon are removed by the alkaline lateral etching step of the SBM process. The fabricated accelerometer has a demodulated signal-to-noise ratio of 92 dB, when 40Hz, 5 g input acceleration is applied. The noise equivalent input acceleration resolution and bandwidth are $125.59\;{\mu}g$ and over 100 Hz, respectively. The acceleration random walk is $12.5\;{\mu}g/\sqrt{Hz}$. The output linearity is measured to be 1.2 % FSO(Full Scale Output) at 40 Hz, and the input range is over ${\pm}\;10g$.

바이오센서 개발을 위한 음향 브래그 반사층을 가지는 체적탄성파 공진기의 공진특성 분석 (Analysis of Resonance Characteristics of Bulk Acoustic Resonator with Acoustic Bragg Reflector for Biosensor Development)

  • As a basic study to develop a high sensitive biosensor using film bulk acoustic resonator, the mathematical model for analyzing the resonance characteristics of bulk acoustic resonator with acoustic Bragg reflectors was investigated. The simulation results due to the number of acoustic Bragg reflectors with low and high acoustic impedance materials were compared with the experimental results for 1, 2.25 and 5 MHz of PZT based bulk acoustic resonators with various acoustic Bragg reflectors. At the fabricated bulk acoustic resonator with an odd number of acoustic Bragg reflectors, low and high acoustic impedance materials in sequence under the bottom electrode showed better resonance characteristics than even number of acoustic Bragg reflectors. The changes of resonance frequencies due to the increase of number of acoustic Bragg reflectors by simulation and experiment, respectively showed approximately similar tendency but some differences in input impedance between the experiment and simulation were found. The derived mathematical model for describing the resonance characteristics of the bulk acoustic resonator with acoustic Bragg reflector will be available for analyzing the design parameters for development of biosensor using bulk acoustic resonator.

A Study on the Design and Analysis of a Bulk-driven Gilbert Cell Downconversion Mixer

  • In this work, we have designed Gilbert cell downconversion mixer using 0.25um Anam CMOS process, we also have analyzed Conversion gain and IIP3 using Taylor series in our own unique way. Especially, bulk terminal is used as LO( Local Oscillator) input for reduction of power consumption and supply voltage. Supply voltage used in this design is lower than 1.8V and core current is less than 500uA. The simulation experiments showed that the conversion gain, IIP3, and power consumption were -1dB, 4.46dBm, and 0.8mW, respectively.
