건설공사의 적정 Lot Size 결정에 의한 효율적인 재고관리 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Effective Inventory Management by Optimizing Lot Size in Building Construction)

  • The purpose of this study was to look up the proper inventory management system in construction industry. it is important for construction company to improve competitiveness and to reduce construction cost. Lot-sizing techniques were applied to rebar procurement in apartment project. The results of this study were as follows; the method of Groff's marginal cost showed the best performance of other techniques and the method of Norman showed a similar result.

  • The korean Standard of the length of steel bar is 6m and 8m for building structures. This paper is to investigate the length of steel bar to reduce the loss of steel bar comparing with the steel length(6m, 8m) using today. This research shows that using of the others length of steel bar(7m, 9m) is able to reduce the loss up to 2.27%.

주거용 건축물의 리모델링 요구 분석 (The Analysis of User Demand on Residental Building Remodelling)

  • This study has researched upon customers' request in the remodelling of residential buildings, and that the research results could be used as a reference data when the remodelling work is under implementation. This study also has collected the residents' upgrading request on their residential buildings, and graded the requests according to their importance. For those purposes, this study classified the problem items through classified analyses and, built the census items, based on the results. Then, the residents' requests on the residential building were presented by importance rates through coupled analysis census. Also, the importance rates have been related to the construction items which predict the importance of each construction item. The main purposes of this study are setting up the direction of the remodelling of residential buildings and predicting the customer requests in the future, even though the remodelling of residential building in Korea has not been activated yet. The research results are expected to be used as a basic data in the remodelling and construction of residential buildings.

  • In this study the continuous rectangular spiral hoop is used for saving cost and time, solving manpower shortage, and the quality of structures. Generally the use of continuous spiral reinforcement in reinforced concrete elements improve the strength and the ductility of the concrete. Savings in cost and time is demonstrated with the continuous rectangular spiral hoop through the mock up test of beam and column elements. In case of a 4m column element the time of rebar work decreases up to 40% compared with traditional hoop, and in case of a 8m beam the time also decreases 40%. This study present the construction method and details.

Case Study of Concrete Surface Design and Construction Method for Freeform Building Based on BIM -Focused on Tri-Bowl, Korea-

  • While it is generally possible to install curved panels manufactured in a factory within the permitted error range on an irregular surface frame of concrete or steel, it is difficult and expensive. Freeform architecture is thus designed and constructed differently from formal buildings. In order to more easily and inexpensively actualize freeform architecture, Building Information Modeling (hereinafter referred to as BIM) has recently been applied in the construction industry. However, the related research and case analyses are not sufficient to identify the implications and contributions of freeform buildings in future similar projects. Therefore, this research will study design and construction methods for freeform surfaces, particular the concrete surface frame of freeform buildings based on BIM, focused on the Tri-Bowl project. This study attempts to analyze the pros and cons of each method for the concrete surface frame of the Tri-Bowl, and then presents the lessons learned and implications related to the design and construction process of the freeform architecture. Several implications for design and construction of concrete surface frame of the freeform building, the Tri-Bowl, are found. The first is that manufacturing and installation of a curved concrete frame is precisely performed based on the exact numerical values of materials and installation made using BIM 3D technologies, such as CATIA and Rhino. The second is that close and continuous collaboration among the different participants in the construction of the Tri-Bowl allowed them to cope with virtual conditions. The third is that design and construction processes have changed, and high quality of the surface frame of a freeform building is required.

석탄가스화 발전슬래그를 잔골재로 사용한 콘크리트 Mock-up 부재의 공학적 특성 (Engineering Properties of Concrete Mock-up Using Coal Gasification Slag as Fine Aggregate.)

  • In this study, the characteristics of the Mock-up test were reviewed to analyze the applicability of the coal gasification slag (CGS) from the integrated gasification combination Cycle (IGCC) to the concrete fine aggregate. The analysis shows that CGS and crushed sand mix is the best combination of CGS combined with about 50 % of CGS based on the effects of promoting liquidity and strength. This is expected to be a positive factor in securing the strength and flexibility of concrete given the optimal mix of CGS, and may also contribute to the improvement of quality.

  • In this study, conducted a Mock-up test on the use of TBC and CGS fine aggregates for the purpose of reducing the upper and lower hydration heat according to the horizontal division and punching of mass concrete. As a result of the experiment, it is judged that it will be effective in preventing temperature cracking of mass concrete when mixing the upper and lower parts and replacing CGS.

  • As a governmental plan for real estate revitalization, remodeling vertical extension has been permitted. Thus, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport preannounced proclaiming the revised Housing Act and establishing the remodeling basic plan, and it is anticipated that the remodeling market will be revitalized in earnest after the enforcement of remodeling vertical extension(April 25th. 2014). As vertical extension is applicable up to 3 stories, the safety of building for remodeling is becoming important, so most remodeling construction works use various methods for structural reinforcement. In this process, the selection of structural reinforcement method has depended on structural engineer's experience and knowledge and there has been a limitation in selecting the optimum structural reinforcement method which considers remodeling project characteristics. Therefore, this study analyzed the factors to determine the kinds of structural reinforcement method in a remodeling project and suggested a process to select the best structural reinforcement method of remodeling construction.

  • Modern society is experiencing a high population density and a centralization of facilities. The clear trends in the construction field are aggrandizement, elevation and specialization of building structures. Such trends require improvements of skills in raising material performances, structuring, planning, designing, and increasing construction capacities. In order to procure high performance materials and construction techniques, a top-quality concrete should be used since it takes up a large part of the material. In recent years, active researches have been done on the ultra high strength concrete. Therefore, this experimental study is strength management to fixed quantity in the field of ultra-strong concrete.
