  • Nowadays the scale of domestic construction becomes large, sophisticated and specialized. It has led to a growing need for the high quality, cost reduction, safety and reduction of work duration. Therefore the importance of construction materials management is emphasized to perform the project successfully. It becomes an current issue about method of construction material management according to the flow of construction progress in the construction field. Therefore, various researches using RFID for efficiency of construction material are being studied. We analyzed the case study using RFID, drew the problems through the investigation of status about the management of material in the field, and then suggested the method of material management using in the apartment building construction field.

  • The purpose of this study was to Identification the Risk of construction method to protect and reduce the risk of construction period. For this study we are using the pre and during construction period Inspection list. The inspection list was used by construction company for check a flaw of Construction field. So we rearrange the individual item of inspection list to match the Risk factor. This inspection list usually has the difference of importance because this list is not made by Method which is not focused on Method. Therefore, To find the difference of these importance, We surveyed this matter by doing interview of specialist group. To find the application of field and the possibility of measurement of Risk status, We tested Risk occurring frequency and it's strength by checking the level of Risk. The results of this study were as follows; Each Method Check List made out through the rearrangement of Construction Inspection list which used in construction company. To solve and compensate the matter which happened by changing the each Method Check List to each General Inspection List, we added the each Method Check List by checking the importance of check list of each process. By doing this, The Check List for finding Risk level of Method was created by using the check list of each Method.

  • In order to meet the trend, construction public data are already disclosing not only data generated at the construction site but also various data ranging from inspection reports and public construction contracts through multiple portals. However, unlike the excellence of the open performance evaluated by the number of data, it is difficult to evaluate the specific level of disclosure because there is no case of analyzing the quality, ease of use, and possibility of further opening of the public construction data set. On the other hand, performance measurement is already performed using an internationally agreed evaluation method in different fields such as real estate, population, and environment. So it is essential to analyze the current status of public data openings in the construction field and to derive improvement tasks. Therefore, this study conducted a survey of researchers with the highest system utilization targeting representative public data open systems in the construction field, such as E-AIS(세움터) and KISCON. To ensure fairness and increase comparability, the questionnaire was composed using evaluation items on implementing public data conducted annually by the World Wide Web Foundation, an international non-profit organization. With these responses, we investigated the status of public data disclosure and opinions on data quality and derived tasks to improve public data disclosure in construction through the analysis of the results.

BIM-Based Simulator for Rebar Placement

  • Reinforcing bars (rebar) comprise an integral part of a concrete structure, and play a major role in the safety and durability of the building. However, the actual placement or installation of rebar is not planned and controlled by the detailer. Recently, 4D simulations, using 3D model and scheduling software, have been used to improve the efficiency of the construction phrase. However, 4D simulators have not been introduced at the detailed level of work, such as rebar placement. Therefore, this paper suggests a BIM-based simulator for rebar placement to determine the sequence with which rebar is placed into the form. The system using Autodesk Revit API automatically generates rebar placement plans for a building structure, and labels the placement sequence of each individual bar or set of bars with ascending numbers. The placement sequence is then visualized using Autodesk Revit Structure 2012. This paper provides a short description of a field assessment and limits.

  • During the last few decades, several companies and research laboratories have developed construction robots in an effort to improve productivity, quality, and reduce construction time and safety concerns. Recently, domestic construction industry is also interested in developing the construction robots. However, the studies on the research and development process is impossible in real field. A existing research's object is the development of the research on the assumption that construction's environment is a fixed form, But real construction's environment is very dynamic and atypical. So it is very difficult that we apply construction automation and robots. In order to solve this problem, this study deduce influential factors on decision making of frame construction scheduling for automated construction.

Field Application of the Flowing Concrete Method Considering Value Engineering(V.E) Concept (VE기법으로 유동화 공법 도입에 대한 현장 적용성 연구)

  • This study investigates field application of flowing concrete in order to improve workability, duality and economic evaluation of concrete. Test results showed that slump of fresh concrete satisfied the target value before and after flowing concrete, and setting time indicated 3 hours difference depending on the mixture proportion of ready-mixed-concrete company. As for the hardened concrete, compressive strength of standard curing specimens, both control and flowing concrete, presented designed value at 28 days elapse. However, the specimens curing at atmosphere decreased the value, due to the lower curing temperature, but also performed the designed value at 91 days. For the evaluation of construction fee by value engineering(V.E) concept, a flowing method declined 4.89% of concrete construction fee, which is 4.9% reduction for materials and 25% reduction for labor expenses, compared with previous construction methods.

  • In recent years, the digital transformation age represented by the "Fourth Industrial Revolution", which is a universalization of digitalization across all industries, has become a reality. In the construction sector in 2018, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport established the Smart Construction 2025 vision and established the 'Smart Construction Technology Roadmap' aiming to complete construction automation by 2030. Especially, in the construction stage, field monitoring technology using drones is needed to support construction equipment automation and on-site control, and a 3D geospatial information model can be utilized as a base tool for this. The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting earthworks work in order to manage changes in site conditions and improve communication between managers and workers in the earthworks plan, which has a considerable part in terms of construction time and cost as a single type of work. Based on this, field management procedures and applications were developed.

  • The development of artificial intelligence in the field of construction and construction is revitalizing. The performance and development techniques of artificial intelligence are changing rapidly, but if you look at the cases of domestic construction sites, they are using technologies from 5 to 7 years ago. It is right to follow a stable method in consideration of commercialization, but the previous AI development method requires more manpower and time to develop than the current technology. In addition, in order to actively utilize artificial intelligence technology, customized artificial intelligence is required to be applied to ever-changing changes in construction sites. it is the reality As a result, even if good AI technology is secured at the construction site, it is reluctant to introduce it because there is no advantage in terms of time and cost compared to the existing method to apply it only to some processes. Currently, an AI technique with a faster development process and accurate recognition has been developed to cope with a fluid situation, so it will be important to understand and introduce the rapidly changing AI development method.
