The construction market has gradually become complexity, variety and specialization, and then owner's requirements about quality has become various. In order to solve the problem such as stated above, advanced constructions in United Kingdom, Japan and United States have introduced warranty contract which is warranted to quality and performance for need of owner in determined term to ensure the quality of construction since 1960s. However, the interior of a country encounter another problem result from defects liability what indefiniteness of defects standard, excess responsibility period, social recognition of be identical fraudulent work and defects, and contract with ascendancy of owners. etc, so builders concerned more excess defects liability than the quality of construction. The purpose of this study is to analysis of warranty contract in order to solve the problem such as stated above.

Selection of appropriate knowledge acquisition and representation techniques is regarded as a major task in the development of expert systems. This depends on the characteristics of problem domains. Expert system builders have often adopted a technique without a formal analysis of application domains. The purpose of this paper is to provide the best knowledge aquisition and representation technique for use in human resource management problem domains. In an attempt to meet this purpose, the conceptual contingency model that suggests the best technique according to managerial decision categories is used as a guidance. In order to determine the priority of managerial decision categories, the Analytic Hierarchy Process and an extended method are proposed.

The aims of this study was to provide information of sites to potential buyers and apartment builders through a comparative investigation on the urban criteria in 5 disDicts of Usan city Mugeo, Daun, Guhwa, Guyoung, and Cheonsang. The content analysis method was used to determine the urban factors which reviewed the urban and environment plan legal system and contents of plans which analyzed the housing characteristics in Ulsan city. Also utilized were professional's opinion and various emphasized elements such as the location of apartments through newspaper advertisement from 1990 to 1999. The urban evaluation factors used in this study were degree of air and noise pollulion, traffic facilities, land use, living environment and economics. Major findings are as follows: Mugeo area has the most convenience community facilities, Guyoung and Cheonsang areas have excellent natural environment-air and noise pollution.

In spite of The exterior design of buildings has a remarkably significant value in terms of public aspect some exposed architectural equipments spoil the appearance of building. The design elements of exposed architectural equipments were partially changed and assessed in the semantic differential method. Thus the aesthetically favorable impression and values of public interest were able to be increased. The reasons why those hideous exposed architectural equipments were constructed, seemed to be as follows; the builders' selfishness, the citizens' ignorance and the immature social institutions that cannot restrict undesirable design efforts. Building equipments located outside are not classified as major elements in building regulations and thus can be installed and altered without any limitations even though they have great effects on the shape and colors of a building. So we have more interest in exposed architectural equipments and more deliberation of exterior design of a building.

It is important to control material flow in shipbuilding as it decides the productivity of production, cost and period of production. The weight of material in a big shipyard is even more one million tons. The results contained in this paper can provide the valuable information on the effect of reduction of cost and competitive power. The intention of this paper is to let ship builders pay attention to material flow. This paper refers to other manufacture's methods to improve their material flow and also give one example to show how to pursue to improve material flow in a shop. We have still lots of room to improve material flow.

Recently in the construction business construction companies has been ordered to survive in the terriblly competitive environment. Aa a result, most of the project with low-priced contract needs a speedy progress during all construction period. For the last five years major incident frequently occurs and results in the death of 189 workers at major top 6 construction builders. In most recent 10 years, the cause of major incidents happened in construction company is the speedy construction work that is affecting on the safety management. To prevent these accidents in the speedy construction work, four factors were chosed and analysed such as the personnel/organization, the working budget, the subcontractor selection and the employee motivation. The head office taked the support plan and tested it at the pilot work site. It showed a reduced accident and the harmful factors can be eliminated. It should be able to apply to the field to secure safety and prevent accidents.

The purpose of this study was to investigate type of the modern architecture in Daegu province, based on 91 buildings which were built from 1886 to 1945 in Daegu province. The results of this study could be summarized as follows : The modern buildings were built by the western missionary, Japanese, Chineses and Korean. The catholic, built Korean style cathedral and parsonage early in the missionary period, then changed to build Gothic revival and georgian style masonary buildings. The protestant built eclectic buildings. With masonary structure and Korean roof style. Then from 1930's, they started to build Gothic revival style buildings. Japanese built eclectic buildings which mixed with Western and Japan type during the first period. Then, they also started to build Western eclectic building. Chinese built only two buildings during the whole periods and those were Western eclectic style buildings. Korean started to build commercial and school buildings which were Western style from the middle of the second period by nationalist and local commercialist.

SQL/MDR is a metadata registry query language used to consistently exchange and share the data between distributed metadata registries. It is an extension of the international SQL and is familiar to most database builders and administrators. It provides many advantages such as simplicity of query language, ease of use, an independent description for distributed querying, low cost for adding new systems, simplicity of exchanging mechanism, and so on. The goal of this paper is to evaluate and show its merits quantitatively. To achieve this goal, we define simulation models to compare with an existing approach and then describe the evaluation results. In the quantitative evaluation results, the good points of SQL/MDR can be identified and known.

This study analyzes circulation statistics of television tie-in picture books from the Wake County Public Library System in North Carolina to determine their popularity among patrons. Caldecott winning picture books were used as a point of comparison. This study also examined OPAC holdings from North Carolina public libraries to determine television tie-in picture book popularity among collection builders. The findings of the study show that television tie-in picture books are found to some degree in the vast majority of North Carolina public libraries, and are more popular than award winners in the Wake County system.
