Voltage Stability Prediction on Power System Network via Enhanced Hybrid Particle Swarm Artificial Neural Network

  • Rapid development of cities with constant increasing load and deregulation in electricity market had forced the transmission lines to operate near their threshold capacity and can easily lead to voltage instability and caused system breakdown. To prevent such catastrophe from happening, accurate readings of voltage stability condition is required so that preventive equipment and operators can execute security procedures to restore system condition to normal. This paper introduced Enhanced Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm to estimate the voltage stability condition which utilized Fast Voltage Stability Index (FVSI) to indicate how far or close is the power system network to the collapse point when the reactive load in the system increases because reactive load gives the highest impact to the stability of the system as it varies. Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) had been combined with the ANN to form the Enhanced Hybrid PSO-ANN (EHPSO-ANN) algorithm that worked accurately as a prediction algorithm. The proposed algorithm reduced serious local minima convergence of ANN but also maintaining the fast convergence speed of PSO. The results show that the hybrid algorithm has greater prediction accuracy than those comparing algorithms. High generalization ability was found in the proposed algorithm.

  • 식음료상품의 시스템화와 매뉴얼화, 서비스의 질적 향상, 기술혁신 변화 등을 바탕으로 호텔식음료 부문의 매출증대와 이윤의 극대화를 위한 요인을 찾아내는 것은 점점 더 거세진 외부환경 변화에 대응하기 위한 중요한 대책이 아닐 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 여러 호텔 식음료 부문중 식음료 상품의 품질, 레스토랑, 연회장, 메뉴, 서비스 관리 등에 대한 품질관리상의 여러 과제들을 파악하고 이에 관련된 문제들을 해결할 수 있는 방안을 강구해보고자 시도되었다. 즉 호텔 식음료 부문의 특성에 따라 호텔 식음료 품질의 중요도 평가가 유의미적인 차이를 보이는지에 대한 검증을 하고 이에 대한 마케팅의 방안을 제시하여 보았다.

6-18 GHz Reactive Matched GaN MMIC Power Amplifiers with Distributed L-C Load Matching

  • A commercial $0.25{\mu}m$ GaN process is used to implement 6-18 GHz wideband power amplifier (PA) monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs). GaN HEMTs are advantageous for enhancing RF power due to high breakdown voltages. However, the large-signal models provided by the foundry service cannot guarantee model accuracy up to frequencies close to their maximum oscillation frequency ($F_{max}$). Generally, the optimum output load point of a PA varies severely according to frequency, which creates difficulties in generating watt-level output power through the octave bandwidth. This study overcomes these issues by the development of in-house large-signal models that include a thermal model and by applying distributed L-C output load matching to reactive matched amplifiers. The proposed GaN PAs have successfully accomplished output power over 5 W through the octave bandwidth.

Poling 강도 변화에 따르는 PZT 세라믹스의 강도와 균열성장 의존성 (Dependence of Strength and Crack Growth of PZT Ceramics on Poling Strength)

  • The dependence of strength, crack growth, fracture mode and degree of domain rearrangement of PZT ceramics on poling strength were studied. The PZT [(Pb0.94Sr0.06)(Zr0.46Ti0.54)O3+Nb(trace)] specimens were poled at 0, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 kv/mm, and the strength of the specimens was measured by 3 point flexure system. The bending strength of the specimen decreased in different modes according to the bending directions; xz, zx and yz plane direction with x axis of the poling direction in Cartesian coordinate system. The strength differences between the directions increased as the poling strength increased. The fracture mode transferred to intergranular fracture mode from transgranular one as the poling strength increased. The mechanical breakdown occurred when the poling strength higher than 3 kV/mm was applied to the specimen. It was observed that the crack length increased in the normal direction to the poling direction, however, decreased in the parallel direction to the poling direction when the poled PZT specimen was indented by the Vickers indenter. However, the crack produced by indentation continuously was continuously increased little by little after indentation on the specimen. The domain rearrangement occurred as the poling strength increased and the domains were rearranged more effectively when the electric field was continuously increased little by little.

  • $SF_6$ gas has become an important insulation medium in modern electric power apparatus, because of its high insulation withstand levels and good arc quenching capability. For the application of $SF_6$ gas in GIS the estimation of insulation properties is a fundamental point. Moreover the reduction of withstand levels in case of inhomogeneous fields caused by particles or fixed protrusions is of special interest. It is known that the presence of free conducting particles in GIS can significantly lower the insulating level of $SF_6$ gas at elevated pressure and also it has been recently shown that dielectric strength is greatly reduced by fast transients such as disconnector surges where metallic particles are involved. In this paper, we have disigned the particle test chamber rated 362kV for the purpose of investigating the discharge characteristics in SF6 gas where inhomogenius fields are caused by metallic particles.

Suitability of Palm Based Oil as Dielectric Insulating Fluid in Transformers

  • Mineral oil has been widely used as dielectric insulating fluid in transformers due to its excellent performance in-service. However, there are few issues with mineral oil such as it has poor biodegradability and could contaminate the environment if a spillage occurs. With the increasing tight regulation on safety and environment, alternative fluids for mineral oil are currently being investigated and among the suitable candidate is the vegetable oil. There are different types of vegetable oils and one of them is the palm based oil. At the moment, extensive research works are carried out to examine its feasibility to be applied in transformers. This paper will review the previous research works that were carried out to examine the suitability of palm based oil as dielectric insulating fluid in transformers. The physical and chemical properties of palm based oil are studied based on viscosity, acidity, oxidation stability and flash point. Next, the electrical characteristics of palm based oil are examined based on AC breakdown voltage, relative permittivity, dissipation factor and partial discharge.

로지스틱회귀모형의 로버스트 추정을 위한 알고리즘 (Algorithm for the Robust Estimation in Logistic Regression)

  • 로지스틱회귀에서 일반적으로 사용되는 최대우도추정법은 이상점에 대해 로버스트 하지 않다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 로지스틱회귀모형의 로버스트 추정을 위한 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 이 알고리즘은 V-마스크 형태의 경계기준에 의해 나쁜 지렛점과 수직이상점을 식별하고, 식별 결과를 바탕으로 이상점의 영향력을 감소시키기 위한 효과적인 방안을 모색한다. 이상점의 영향력 감소는 가중치와 조정치를 적절히 선정함으로 가능하며, 그 결과 붕괴점이 높은 추정치를 얻게 된다. 제안된 알고리즘을 다양한 자료에 적용하여 정분류율을 측정하여 비교하였는데, 새로운 알고리즘이 최대우도추정보다 정확한 분류를 해 주는 것으로 평가되었다.

A Study on Properties of SSBR/NdBR Rubber Composites Reinforced by Silica

  • Five solution styrene butadiene rubber/neodymium butadiene rubber (SSBR/NdBR) composites were manufactured using different ratios of SSBR and NdBR. In this study, the composites were reinforced with NdBR and silica to confirm the physical properties of SSBR used for treads of automobile tires and the dispersibility with silica. The morphologies of the rubber composites were observed using field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The crosslinking behaviors of the composites were tested using a rubber process analyzer (RPA), and the abrasion resistances were tested using a National Bureau of Standards (NBS) abrasion tester. The hardness values, tensile strengths, and cold resistances of the composites were also tested according to ASTM standards. Increased NdBR content yielded composites with excellent crosslinking properties, abrasion resistances, hardnesses, tensile strengths, and cold resistances. The crosslinking point increased due to the double bond in NdBR, thereby increasing the degree of crosslinking in the composites. The NdBR-reinforced composites exhibited excellent abrasion resistances, which is explained as follows. In SSBR, a breakage is permanent because a resonance structure between styrene and SSBR forms when the molecular backbone is broken during the abrasion process. However, NdBR forms an additional crosslink due to the breakdown of the molecular backbone and high reactivity of the radicals produced. In addition, the low glass transition temperature (Tg) of NdBR provided the rubber composites with excellent cold resistances.

에멀젼 반전법으로 제조된 쿼세틴을 함유하는 나노에멀젼에 대한 에탄올의 영향 (The Effects of Ethanol on Nano-emulsions Containing Quercetin Prepared by Emulsion Inversion Point Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 고농도의 쿼세틴을 함유하는 안정한 나노에멀젼의 조성을 찾고 POE (30) hydrogenated castor oil (HCO-30)/오일/쿼세틴/에탄올/물로 이루어진 나노에멀젼에 대한 에탄올의 영향을 연구하였다. 나노에멀젼은 저에너지법인 emulsion inversion point (EIP) 법과 고에너지법인 균질기(homogenizer)를 병합하여 제조하였다. 나노에멀젼에 대한 에탄올과 다른 성분들의 영향을 평가하기 위해 입자 크기, 에멀젼의 형태, 그리고 입자 분포와 같은 물리적 특성을 조사하였다. 나노에멀젼에 대한 쿼세틴의 최적 농도는 0.2 %였다. 계면활성제인 POE (30) hydogenated castor oil (HCO-30) 농도에 따른 나노에멀젼의 입자 크기를 보면, 2.00 %부터는 에멀젼의 입자 크기는 300 nm 이하였으며 HCO-30을 4.75 % 함유하는 나노에멀젼이 가장 안정하고 입자 크기도 172.40 nm로 나타났다. 마지막으로 에탄올 4.00 %를 함유한 나노에멀젼의 입자 크기는 128.15 nm이고 입도 분포 또한 좁게 나타났다. 나노에멀젼의 불안정화 과정은 Ostwald ripening에 의한 것으로 보여진다. 나노에멀젼에 대한 에탄올의 영향을 연구함으로써 소량의 에탄올을 이용하여 약물의 봉입률을 증가시킬 수 있으며, 안정한 나노에멀젼을 만듦으로써 스킨 로션, 에센스 및 향수와 같은 화장품과 제약 등에 응용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

식물성 절연유의 가속열화에 따른 주요 성분 및 물성 변화 (Changes of Properties and Gas Components according to Accelerated Aging Test of Vegetable Transformer Oil)

  • 대부분의 변압기에 사용되고 있는 절연유는 석유계 원료를 이용한 광유계 절연유였으나 유출시 환경오염, 낮은 인화점으로 인한 화재 위험성을 가지고 있어 보다 친환경 식물성 원료를 활용한 절연유 도입이 최근 검토되고 있다. 그러나 식물성 절연유의 높은 생분해성과 인화점으로 절연유로서의 높은 적용가능성에도 불구하고 장기운전에 의한 열화가 미치는 영향에서는 아직 많은 연구가 필요한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 변압기의 구성요소를 감안하고 실제 운전조건보다 높은 $150^{\circ}C$에서 2주간의 가속열화 시험을 통해 전산가, 수분, 절연파괴전압 등의 주요물성 변화를 통해 식물성 절연유 산화특성과 이 과정에서 생성되는 용존 가스 분석을 실시였다. 이를 통해 식물성 절연유가 기존 광유계 절연유 대비 친수성에 의한 전산가 상승에도 불구하고 절연성능을 유지하는 특징을 가지고 있으며 가스 성분 비교를 통해 주어진 온도 조건에서 우수한 열안정성을 나타내고 있음을 확인하였다.
