  • For the bolster type bogie, bolster anchor body connections are proviede to transmit the longitudinal loads for traction or braking between the carbody and the truck. The bolster anchor body connection is generally composed of anchor rod bracket, anchor rod and its fastening devices. The bolster anchor body connection shall be basically capable of withstanding a longitudinal load resulting from excessive braking case or impact. Additionally the north America standard requires that the anchor rod bracket shall be frangible, I.e. the anchor rod bracket shall fail and fall away under load before the carbody structure is damaged since to protect the cabody structure in the event of unexpected accident. This paper describes the shear connection design using the optimized mechanical fasteners in the bolster anchor body connection to satisfy these Northe America requirements.

유도전동기 브라켓 제작시 품질평가 (Quality Evaluations of Induction Motors Bracket Castings during Fabrication Processes)

  • 본 연구는 중형 유도전동기 신제품 개발 단계에서 브라켓 주조품 제작시 발생하는 품질문제를 미리 평가하기 위하여 수행한 것으로, 브라켓 주조품의 제작과정인 주조 및 기계가공시 용탕 충진 양상, 결함 발생, 잔류응력 및 변형 등 제품의 품질상태를 수치해석적인 방법을 사용하여 평가하였다. 평가 결과 최종 기계가공 후 브라켓 주조품에 발생하는 잔류응력은 -53~54MPa, 변형량은 최대 1.8mm로 크지 않으며 내부 품질관리 기준에 부합함을 알 수 있었다.

고속전철 가선계 가동 브래킷의 동적하중 계산 (Dynamic Load calculation at the Bracket of High Speed Train Catenary System)

  • The catenary system of a high speed train is designed to have a flexibility to ensure the contact with a pantograph during high speed running. The flexibility inevitably entails a vibration. The vibration is transferred to a utility pole through brackets. Therefore, the examination of the dynamic load at the bracket due to the train running is necessary for the design of the bracket. In this research, an equation of motion is derived to calculate the dynamic load at the bracket during high speed running and a computer program is developed. Also, the analyzed results are compared to characterize the dynamic load at the bracket.

  • This study was undertaken to finish the design of the adequate preadjusted bracket in Korean. The labio-lingual & bucco-lingual width of tooth & in-and-out of the bracket base was studied in normal occlusion of 17 males & 17 females. The following results were obtained. 1. The in-and-outs of the bracket base in Korean were obtained (table 2). 2. The in-and-outs of the premolar & molar were no significant due to variation according to arch wire shape in clinical practice, so the more adjustment of arch wire was required. 3. The more amount of offset was required at lateral-canine offset than at central-lateral offset in 1st order bending, due to difference of the in-and-out. 4. The degrees of the anti-rotation in molar were obtained (table 3).

  • Researches on the FRF-based substructuring method have been mainly focused on vibratory response analysis. Present study Is concerned about the application of the method to the dynamic stress analysis of a air-conditioner compressor mounting bracket in a passenger car. This is performed by using reaction forces that can be obtained by the FRF-based substructuring method. The air-conditioner system, composed of a compressor and bracket, Is analyzed by using the FRF-based substructuring method. The experimental and numerical FRFs are combined to calculate the system responses and reaction forces at the connection point. The dynamic reaction forces plugged into the bracket FE model to compute the stresses of the bracket Dynamic strains by the present method are compared with those from strain-gage test for bracket system on shaker. The comparison shows possibility of practical usage of the method for the real problem

브라켓 마운팅 방법 변경과 TRP 적용에 따른 강관형 도어 임팩트 빔 강도 (Strength of Pipe Type Door Impact Beam with Changed Bracket Mounting Method and TRP Application)

  • Door impact beam plays a key role in minimizing the occupant injury within the side impacted vehicle through preventing intrusion of the impacting vehicle. Steel pipe type door impact beam has been widely adopted since it has simple structure and the overall strength is easily determined according to the pipe size. The brackets welded at pipe ends connect the door impact beam and the door panels by spot welds. In this study, first, the effect of pipe thickness, bracket thickness and door mounting stiffness was respectively analyzed. Next, application of the tailor rolled pipe was examined and several alterations of the bracket mounting method were considered. Application of tailor rolled pipes with superior bracket mounting method showed remarkable strength enhancement and weight reduction possibility in comparison with the current door impact beam.

  • There were lots of changes of the wooden structure in the middle of Joseon Dynasty. It was the time of replacement from Jusimpo (simple bracket system) to Ikgong (wing-like bracket system) and each bracket had shown mutual variation as well as itself. The aspects of change were discovered that the decorative elements of Ikgong and Dapo (multi-bracket system) had accepted from each other. It was clearly shown that not only the Ungung (carved cloud-shape) and Chotgaji (shape of the acuminate leaf) of Ikgong had affected to Dapo, but also Gaang (pseudo-pointing cantilever) of Dapo had affected to Ikgong. It was mostly found in the Buddhist architecture because there was the conservatization of ruling hierarchy as well as the active growth of Buddhist society.

  • Recently WCDMA signal transmission technology by large output microwave antenna have showed reduction of human resources and operating expense. But the existing antenna brackets cost is very expensive also its structure and functions are complicated. Unit brackets, suspending some sensors, subjected to acceleration loads, often fail due to self-vibration. To prevent such failures, it is necessary to understand the fatigue failure mode and to evaluate the fatigue life using tests or analysis techniques. The objective of this study is to develop the component test specifications, which are applicable to predict fatigue life at initial product design step, for unit brackets using vibration fatigue technique. So its application is limited to installation and management. In this project, we studied about more convenient bracket for microwave antennas through improvement on the existing antenna bracket's shortcoming and could develop an improved universal antenna bracket system for simple installation and application.

인공타액하에서 교정선과 Bracket간의 마찰력에 대한 연구 (FRICTIONAL FORCES BETWEEN ORTHODONTIC WIRE AND BRACKET UNDER ARTIFICIAL SALIVA)

  • It has been suggested that the frictional force between bracket and arch wire may impede the tooth movement. The present study was aimed to compare and analyze the effect of wire size, type of ligation, and duration of ligation on the magnitude of frictional force between cobalt chromium wire and stainless steel bracket under the artificial saliva. The results were as follows: 1. Type of ligation and size of wire were the main influencing factor on the level of friction. 2. Stainless steel ligature generated higher frictional forces than elastomeric module. 3. The rectangular wire consistently exhibited more frictional force values than round wires, while there was no significant difference between frictional forces of round wires. 4. In elastic ligature, frictional force decreased with time. 5. Artificial saliva had no significant influence on the frictional force between cobalt chromium wire and bracket.
