As the public reading campaign has been popular, the book festival, a sociocultural event in relation to the book and reading, becomes a growing public interest. The book festival which could be diversified by each community and its environment would be understood in the perspective of the performance of public library, the diffusion of public reading campaign and the sociocultural togetherness of the community. In that, this study focuses on the book festival of Seongbuk-Gu, Seoul, held in 2015. Specifically, this study looks into the theoretical underpinnings and the background of book festival, examines the case of the '2015 Seongbuk-Gu Book Festival' systematically, and analyzes the factors that influence the book festival, in order to enhance our understanding of the book festival in general.

The purpose of this study was to identify factors on the user's intention of using mobile E-book based on TAM(Technology Acceptance Model). System quality(accessibility and convenience), information quality, and innovation as a user characteristics were chosen as the independent variable of this study, perceived easy of use and perceived usefulness were selected as potential variable, and user's use intention was selected as dependent variable. The survey was conducted by 170 high school students and structural equation modeling was used to analyze the relationships between factors. The results showed that information quality and the user's innovation have a positive impact on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use while the other system factors did not affect perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use for mobile E-book. Finally, the perceived usefulness was found to have a positive impact on the user's intention to use mobile E-book.

The purpose of this study is to discuss the improvement plan of book curation service by examining the current status of book curation, necessity and effectiveness of book curation, targeting librarian teachers. A questionnaire survey was conducted targeting 51 librarians in the Gyeonggi region. The main results are as follows. First, 86.3% of respondents had experience in book curation operation. Second, the most important reason for book curation service was to introduce resources of various subjects to students. Third, the subject of curation were selected by book event and social issues. Fourth, there were many cases where librarians performed services without receiving training on book curation. Lastly, although the recognition that book curation services are necessary is high, they are experiencing operational difficulties due to lack of space and budget. Based on the results, Based on the results, we suggested that this study has academic contributions as data that reports the reality of book curation, and that in order to actively match library resources with users without disappearing, professional education and curriculum of librarians should be able to eliminate common problems in previous studies.

The transmission capacity has been highlighted as a problem in the power company according to operated heavy loaded of transmission facility. The total transfer capability in the KEPCO power system is determined mainly by the voltage stability limit and many approaches for enhancement of the total transfer capability has been consistently performed. This paper proposes a study on determination of the adequate var sizing of power compensator regarding the transfer capability enhancement in power system. This method was controlled power compensator in substation becasue of the voltage stability. It was simulated power system using EMS peak data.

본 연구에서는 온라인 다중 사용자 환경의 eBook annotation 시스템 개발에서 데이터를 의미 기반으로 관리하고, 데이터에 대하여 상호 공통적인 이해를 표현하며, 그리고 데이터에 대한 무결성 검사 등을 지원하기 위해서 eBook annotation 온톨로지를 설계하였다. eBook annotation 데이터에 대한 상호 공통적인 이해의 표현을 위해서 한국 전자책 문서 표준인 EBKS(Electronic Book of Korea Standard)를 기반으로 설계 하였으며 설계 된 온톨로지는 Conceptual Graph(CG)를 사용하여 표현하였다. 의미 기반의 처리를 위해서 본 온톨로지에서는 동의어(synonym) 관계와 다국어(multilingua) 관계를 고려하였으며 또한 annotation 데이터 생성시 오류 방지와 중요도를 표현 하기 위해서 무결성 검사, 중요성 axiom을 고려 했다. 제안된 온톨로지는 annotation 데이터의 재사용성을 높일 수 있고 의미 정보를 활용함으로써 eLearning, cyberclass과 같은 다중사용자 환경에서 효과적인 협업을 가능하게 한다. 본 연구에서 구현한 eBook annotation 시스템은 설계한 온톨로지를 이용함으로써 의미 기반의 데이터 관리가 가능하다. 또한 annotation 생성 시 온톨로지 구조를 모르더라도 annotation을 생성할 수 있는 인터페이스를 구현하였다.

Myanmar, also known as Burma, has a rich cultural heritage, and its historical tourist attractions well known around the world. Therefore, we designed and developed an interactive spatial augmented reality (iSAR) book on the cultural heritage of Myanmar. This iSAR book has total of 18 pages with rich media content including videos, animations, audio, and images featuring the cultural heritage of Myanmar in a digital format. In addition to virtual content, navigational features such as virtual buttons and touch-based hand gestures were implemented using Leap Motion and VVVV. Therefore, the developed iSAR book allows virtual content and navigational features to merge seamlessly into a physical book. Five participants were recruited to evaluate the prototype iSAR book, and interviews were conducted to gather their feedback based on its immersive qualities. Thus, the developed iSAR book on Myanmar effectively shares the cultural heritage of Myanmar, and ultimately allows users to explore and gain more insight into the country.

This study examined the influence of mothers' reading and scaffolding behaviors on children's emotional experiences and memory recall during picture book reading. Sixty children, aged 6 and their mothers participated in this study. Each child-mother dyad was observed in a lab setting which was designed to evaluate child-mother interactions during a picture book reading. The data were analyzed using correlation and multiple regression techniques. Our results indicated that mothers' task-oriented reading behavior affected the children's lack of positive emotions, whereas mothers' fun-oriented reading behavior was associated with the children's positive emotions. The task-oriented reading behavior also accounted for children's poor memory performance in relation to the book. These results were discussed in terms of the relationship between emotion and cognition through book reading experiences.

Recently we published new edition of 'child & Adolescent health record book' considering easy usability and introduction of new vaccines. This record book has essential and important contents for caring our children and adolescents. Currently many people use various vaccination record books with wrong and poor contents. We suggest the campaign that every pediatrician must give our well made record book to these people. This campaign can give their children an opportunity for proper vaccination and medical checkup. Ultimately through this campaign, the role and importance of pediatrician in the fields of vaccination and bring up children and adolescents will be recognized. We trust that the better record book can be made with continuous interest and active advice of all Korean Pediatric Society members about the contents and usability of this book.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the differences between mothers' and grand mothers' picture book reading behavior with children of ages 2 and 4. Methods: Participants were twenty 2 year olds and their mothers/grandmothers as well as twenty 4 year olds and their mothers/grandmothers. Forty pairs of children/mothers and children/grandmothers, respectively, were videotaped as they shared reading a picture book together. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, mean, standard deviation, and two-way ANOVA test. Results: Results indicated that mothers' and grandmothers' picture book reading behaviors were significantly different in verbal behavior. Mothers performed more explanation and questioning, while grandmothers performed more limitation, directing, and correcting. As far as non-verbal behavior is concerned, mothers used more physicalgestures, pointing, descriptive gestures, and imitative gestures, whereas grandmothers requested certain actions. Conclusion/Implications: These findings have implications for the importance of the mothers'/grandmothers' roles in shared picture book reading with the child.

This study was conducted to search the origin of Nong Jung Shin Pyun ( 農政新編 ), a book of agricultural manual. This book was edited by An Jong-Soo who translated the agricultural manual of Japan and China, both were writted in Japanese. This book might be used not only as text book for agricultural workshop but as reference book for peasants.
