직접분사식 디젤기관에서 바이오디젤 연료의 연소특성 (The Combustion Characteristics of Biodiesel Fuel as an Alternative Fuel for D.I. Diesel Engine)

  • Biodiesel fuel(BDF) which is easily produced from vegetable oils such as soybean oil and rice bran oil can be effectively used as an alternative fuel in diesel engine. But biodiesel fuel can affect the performance and emissions in diesel engine because it has different chemical and physical properties from diesel fuel. To investigate the combustion characteristics of biodiesel fuel as an alternative fuel for D.I. diesel engine, the experiments were carried out at the three-cylinder, four stroke D.I. diesel engine with T/C. Experimental parameters adopted a conventional diesel fuel and a blend of biodiesel fuel derived from soybean. As a result of experiments in a test engine, BSFC with blend of BDF resulted in higher than with diesel fuel. The ignition delay decreased with blend of BDF than with diesel fuel.

가공된 석탄재를 사용한 석탄재혼합시멘트의 모르터 특성 (The Mortar Properties of Portland Cements Blended with Modified Coal Ashes)

  • For the development of multi-functional materials which has water reducing power, air entraining power and waterproofing power as well as blending additive in cement mortar the coal ash was modified with asphalt-stearic acid or asphalt-boiled oil mixtures by mechanical treatment. And the physical properties of cement mortar blended with modified coal ashes were compared with those of the water-tightness-cement mortar and the ordinary-portland-cement mortar added with AE.water reducing agent. The mortar of coalash-blend-cement modified with asphalt-stearic mixture was increased acid about 20% in initial strengths and decreased about 20% in water absorption ratio than those of ordinary coalash-blend-cement. The mortar of coalash-blend-cement modified with asphalt-bolied oil mixture was similar to the cement mortar added with AE.water reducing agent in water reduction ratio, air entraining conents and the initial strengths, also was similar to the water-tightness-cement mortar in water absorption and water permeability ratios.

Characterization of a Blend-Biosurfactant of Glycolipid and Lipopeptide Produced by Bacillus subtilis TU2 Isolated from Underground Oil-Extraction Wastewater

  • Biosurfactants have versatile properties and potential industrial applications. A new producer, B. subtilis TU2, was isolated from the underground oil-extraction wastewater of Shengli Oilfield, China. Preliminary flask culture showed that the titer of biosurfactant obtained from the broth of TU2 was ~1.5 g/l at 48 h (718 mg/l after purification), with a reduced surface tension of 32.5 mN/m. The critical micelle concentration was measured as 50 mg/l and the surface tension maintained stability in solution with 50 g/l NaCl and 16 g/l $CaCl_2$ after 5 days of incubation at $70^{\circ}C$. FT-IR spectra exhibited the structure information of both glycolipid and lipopeptide. MALDI-TOF-MS analyses confirmed that the biosurfactant produced by B. subtilis TU2 was a blend of glycolipid and lipopeptide, including rhamnolipid, surfactin, and fengycin. The blended biosurfactant showed 86% of oil-washing efficiency and fine emulsification activity on crude oil, suggesting its potential application in enhanced oil recovery.

  • Effect on the hand value and mechanical properties of blend ratio and weight had been investigated Oil summer suits for men. Relation between the mechanical properties and the deformation in behavior was also studied. The mechanical properties which influence the hand values and total hand value had been discussed and the relation between mechanical properties, hand values and fabric count had, too. As result, the following conclusions had been obtained. 1) The values of tensile properties increased with the increase of blend ratio of wool. The values of surface properties increased according to the increase of blend ratio of polyester. 2HB(bending properties) of polyester/wool blend showed higher value than that of $100\%$ wool, but there was no change in the shearing properties according to the blend ratio. The values of stiffness, crispness and anti-drape stiffness of blend fabric showed higher values than those of $100\%$ wool fabric. The value of fullness (including softness) of blend fabric showed lower value than that of $100\%$ wool fabric. 2) The correlation between hand values and mechanical properties showed following order. in stiffness : bending properties>surface properties in crispness: surface properties>bending properties in anti-drape stiffness: bending properties>surface properties>shearing properties.

Strength and chloride penetration of Portland cement mortar containing palm oil fuel ash and ground river sand

  • This paper presents a study of the strength and chloride penetration of blended Portland cement mortar containing ground palm oil fuel ash (POA) and ground river sand (GS). Ordinary Portland cement (OPC) was partially replaced with POA and GS. Compressive strength, rapid chloride penetration test (RCPT) and chloride penetration depth of mortars were determined. The GS only asserted the packing effect and its incorporation reduced the strength and the resistance to chloride penetration of mortar. The POA asserted both packing and pozzolanic effects. The use of the blend of equal portion of POA and GS also produced high strength mortars, save cost and excellent resistance to chloride penetration owing to the synergic effect of the blend of POA and GS. For chloride depth, the mathematical model correlates well with the experimental results. The computer graphics of chloride depth of the ternary blended mortars are also constructed and can be used to aid the understanding and the proportioning of the blended system.

  • A heating cargo is solidified by several reasons during carriage. This study is to analyse a cargo accident which 811,202 US barrels of Nile Blend crude oil reamined solid In the tanks after discharge. There are some possibilities that low temperature of Beading cargo below cloud point and wax appearance temperature at loading time, heating interruption during voyage or discharging, and prohibition of crude oil washing during discharging might influence the cargo solidified. But we concluded that the defect of heating system would most affect the heating cargo solidified locally, and which blocked drain hole of bottom transverse and web frame and they obstruct flow of heating cargo in the tanks.

  • 요즈음 환경오염 문제와 대체에너지 문제에 관심이 증대되고 있다. 디젤기관은 일반적으로 육상과 해상에서 동력을 생산하는데 사용되고 있는데, 디젤기관의 연소특성과 배기배출물 특성은 기관의 운전시간이 증가함에 따라 연료계통의 마모와 연소실 주위상태의 변화로 달라진다. 본 논문은 약 20여년 사용한 디젤기관에 바이오디젤혼합유를 사용할 경우, 연소특성과 배기배출물 특성에 미치는 연료분사시기의 영향을 고찰하기 위하여 실험적으로 연구하였다. 실험기관의 원래 연료분사시기는 BTDC $22^{\circ}$ CA이었는데, 20여년 운전한 후에 연료소비율과 배기배출물 특성에 대하여 실험적으로 최적의 연료분사시기를 분석한 결과, BTDC $26^{\circ}$ CA로 변경되었음을 알았다.

  • 환경에 유해한 PVC 재질의 바닥재나 시트를 대체하기 위하여 styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene(SEBS)과 같은 열가소성고무를 사용하고 polypropylene(PP) 등의 폴리머와 오일, 무기물 및 안정제 등을 혼합하여 내충격성 또는 탄성이 우수한 새로운 소재를 개발하기 위한 컴파운딩 연구를 진행하였다. SEBS와 오일의 혼합물에서 경도는 오일의 함량이 증가함에 따라서 선형적으로 감소하였고, SEBS/oil/PP의 조성물에서는 PP의 함량이 증가하면 인장강도는 선형적으로 증가하는 반면, 신율은 PP가 50phr상에서는 거의 영향이 없었다. PVC 소재의 바닥재나 시트를 대체 사용하기 위한 실질적인 SEBS 혼합물의 조성물에서도 인장 및 인열강도, 그리고 경도는 PP 함량에 비례하여 증가하는 것으로 나타났으나, 용융지수는 PP 함량이 증가하면 감소하는 것으로 나타났다.

고밀도 폴리에틸렌/초고분자량 폴리에틸렌 블렌드로 제조한 미세다공성 중공사막 (Microporous Bellow Fiber Membrane Prepared from High Density Polyethylene/Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Blend)

  • 고밀도 폴리에틸렌 (HDPE)과 초고분자량 폴리에틸렌 (UHMWPE)을 혼합하여 중공사막을 제조하고, 이의 형태구조와 물성 변화를 조사하였다. 분자량 측정과 FT-IR을 이용한 분석 결과, 상품화된 중공사막(Sterapore)은 고분자량의 HDPE로 제조되었으며, 표면은 친수성 고분자인 비닐 알코올/비닐 아세테이트 공중합체로 코팅되어 높은 수투과도를 갖는 이유를 규명하였다. HDPE/UHMWPE 블렌드에서 UHMWPE의 혼합 한계 조성비는 10 wt% 이하이며, UHMWPE의 분산성을 높이기 위하여 혼합과정에서 광유를 도입하여야 할 것으로 판단되었다. 제조된 HDPE/UHMWPE 블렌드 중공사의 기계적 물성과 막 구조는 Sterapore와 유사하였다.
