  • In this study the applicability of a Digital Image Correlation (DIC) method was investigated by measuring the displacement and vibration of rock pillar due to underground mining blasting. When combined with a high speed photography technology, the DIC method provides an excellent photographic image processing ability that can be used to convert the evolving full-field surface properties of structures to 2D or 3D set of coordinate values. The measured coordinate sets are then used to calculate the displacement, strain, and velocity of the target structure. This technique is widely used in science and engineering, and continuously finds its new application areas. In this study, the DIC system and the conventional seismograph were compared for their ability to measure the displacement and vibration produced by blasting. In the field test both methods showed similar results. Thus, it is concluded that the DIC method is feasible to measure the ground displacements and vibrations from blasting.

  • This study is based on the reseach about conte. track$(Dugso\~wonju)$ double line electric railway tunnel. Authors conducted test blasting to examine the effect of blasting pollution. To be conducted safe and effective work by using this result studies sailable substitution excavation method. No-vibration section generates continuously the vibration of breaker working to go abreast necessarily secondary fragmentation working and according to judging that application is actually difficult in case of the condition of study site, the period of construction, the cost of construction, the efficiency of construction, pre-heavy caliber horizontally boring working + line drilling method + vibration control secondary blasting method excavation working is possible from level within blast vibration standard.

  • Although this site is designed with a non-vibration excavation method for a section of 265 m, there are concerns about decline of constructability and economic feasibility. For this reason, the low-vibration electronic detonator blasting method was suggested. To evaluate the applicability of the low-vibration electronic detonator blasting method, the damage range of blasting vibration of low-vibration electronic detonator blasting applied just before the site (suggestion I) and low-vibration electronic detonator blasting constructed close range the subway like this site (suggestion II) was analyzed. As a result of comparing the blasting vibration damage ranges of the two suggestions, the damage range of suggestion II was calculated more conservatively. Considering the specificity of the close range of this site, suggestion II was selected for design change for safer construction. As a result, it is predicted that there will be no damage to the structure even if the 72 m section out of the non-vibration excavation 265 m section is changed to the Low-vibration electronic detonator blasting. And it is evaluated that high economic benefits can be obtained because the total expected excavation period can be reduced by 144 days from 662.5 days.

  • Underground water-sealed gas storage caverns have become the primary method for strategic storage of LPG. Previous studies of excavation blasting effects on large-scale underground water-sealed gas storage caverns are rare at home and abroad. In this paper, the blasting excavation for underground water-sealed propane storage caverns in Yantai was introduced and field tests of blasting vibration were carried out. Field test data showed that the horizontal radial velocity had a major controlling effect in the blasting vibration and frequencies would not cause the vibration velocity concentration effects. In terms of the influence of blasting vibration on adjacent caverns, the dynamic finite element model in LS-DYNA soft was established, whose reliability was verified by field test data. The numerical results indicated the near-blasting side was primary zone for the structural failure and tensile failure tended to occur in the middle of the curved wall on the near-blasting side. Meanwhile, the safety criterions for adjacent caverns based on stress wave theory and according to statistic relationship between peak effective tensile stress and peak particle velocities were obtained, respectively. Finally, with Safety Regulations for Blasting in China (GB6722-2014) taken into account, a final safety criterion was proposed.

  • The overall management for explosives in domestic and regulation for blasting is managed by the control Act of guns, sword, explosives etc. On the details for handling and method, delivery, storage, use and management for explosives and work safety for the accident prevention is recommended to the related business site through Standard safety work guideline of blasting which set by safety & health 27 Act handling. In this study, It reviews the standard safety work guideline of blasting notified by Ministry of employment & labor. We propose the new products introduced into domestic explosives market, definition of explosives word when the newest blasting technology is revised, emulsion explosives, bulk explosives and electronic detonators which increased in the latest. Indeed, We propose a typical handling method of non-electric detonator and electronic in order to make the renewed Standard safety work guideline of Blasting on work guideline.

  • A method using detonating cord was suggested to control the blasting source for scaled model test. Blasting of 5 concrete block was carried out to verify the method. It was proved that blasting power can be controlled by suggested method. It seemed to be reasonable to use the reduction ratio based on the explosion heat.

  • Reconstruction and redevelopment of old and dilapidated apartment and housing have been increasing to provide more housing accommodation and to secure the safety of building structures since the middle of 1990's. Since, however, little researches on the demolition technique have been made, conventional mechanical demolition method were applied to the most of works that resulted in flooding in small demolition companies. Problems associated with mechanical demolition method are increase not only in working days and costs, but also in public claims, particularly for high-rise building structures. This is to contribute the demolition industries bt providing the concept, standards, and technique of demolition engineering while maximizing working efficiency and minimizing public claims.

  • In this study, various problems of ground vibration from rock blasting have been discussed, and field tests of rock blasting-ground vibration were carried out to find out the system of evaluation and control method for selecting blast design values and the rationale for the selection. Criterla of estimating structural response and damage caused by ground vibration from rock blasting are also discussed for the safety design of blast.
