This paper investigates the formative features and the historical meaning of the Korean dress collection held in the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Cambridge. The Museum holds a total of eleven items of koran dresses that were donated by two anthropologists in the first half of the twentieth century. Male dresses consist of a white cotton jacket (Jeogori), a under-vest (Deungbaeja) made of light wisteria rings, a headband (Manggeon) made of horsehair, a broad brimmed top hat (Gat) made of black horsehair gauze, an oilskin cover (Galmo) drawn over the hat in wet weather, and a hemispherical hat box (Gatjib). Female dresses comprise a pink silk jacket (Jeogori), a blue silk skirt (Chima) with pleats, a pair of woman's white cotton trousers (Sokgot), a black silk cap (Jobawi) decorated with pink tassels and imitation pearls, and a pair of green and magenta silk shoes (Danghye) with leather soles and metal rivets. Theses Korean dresses show what the western anthropologists had interests in. When collectors collect the folk objects, they thought much of the specificity of shape and material, the esthetic appreciation, and the representation of daily life. In terms of the value as the historical materials in the history of Korean dress, the under-vest of wisteria, the hat box, and the female dresses are worth paying attention to. The under-vest is one that was produced in earlier time among the remaining under-vests. The hat box represents that the hat belonged to the merchant classes. The female dress items show daily dresses worn by women of higher classes of the society in the 1920s.

The present research was designed to collect recipe of set up a standard recipe and analyze the nutrients of broiled black goat meat (a kind of native local foods in Busan and south province). The results of the study are summarized as follows. The recipe for goat(lamb) meat was recorded in Sanlimkyounggae and Jungbosanlimkyounggae between 1715 and 1827. The goat meat was explained as food for health, rejuvenation and recuperation Since late 1800, it has been utilized for such use. The flavor of broiled black goat meat is influenced by seasonings, fruit juice, heating treatment and cooker. And it also could be affected by the method of slaughter and the sex of the goat. There are lot of element in seasoning. Red pepper paste, garlic and ginger holdback the bad smell and make the taste better. Onion help to retain the water and improve the flavor. Starch syrup, sugar and sesame oil make the meat smoother, glossier and more tasty. The meat is usually roasted on grill over charcoal. It helps to remove or suppress the bad smell and make the taste better. Softness and scent of the meat depend largely on the way to butcher. Female goat meat tastes smoother and smells better. Fruit juice also improve the softness of the meat. Energy per 100g of the 'broiled black goat meat' is 170kcal. There are protein (23g), fat(2.4g), Ca(159mg), Fe(1.1mg) and so on. Amino acid is mainly comprised of essential amino acid such as cystine, lysine, leucine, and arginine. Fatty acid consists primarily of unsaturated fatty acid like oleic acid, linoleic acid.

The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in image perception, and to investigate the differences in age and income inferences according to the wearing of accessories with black dress. A quasi-experimental method was used for this study. The experimental design was a $2{\times}3{\times}3$(necklace${\times}$earrings${\times}$corsage) factorial design. The subjects were 610 female college students residing in Seoul. The model in the stimulus photographs was a woman with straight long hair. She wore a black one-piece dress with round neckline and short sleeves. The findings indicated that the wearing of a necklace enhanced individuality, attractiveness, and cuteness in women. Professionalism and individuality were heightened when she wore an earring. The red corsage enhanced individuality, but it had a negative effect in professionalism. As for the effect on interaction, attractiveness was more highly perceived when both necklace and large earrings were worn without a corsage. The absence of both necklace and earrings led to a low perception of professionalism, attractiveness, and individuality. The wearing of a necklace was more strongly linked to older age and high income than not wearing it, and it was perceived as more youthful if earrings were not worn. As for interactions, the wearing of small earrings and a red corsage was linked to the oldest age.

Morphometric characteristics of female red sea bream, Pagrus major (Temminck et Schlegel) and male black sea bream, Acanthopagrus schlegelii (Bleeker) hybrids is described. From the result of our study, the morphometric characters of hybrid may be 7 paternal-like, 2 maternal-like or even out of the range of parental species. The pigmentation of the hybrid is intermediate in some respects and resembles that of the parental species in others. This study of characterization in morphometric traits of the hybrids, red sea bream and black sea bream may be useful for distinguish of each genotype in commercial sea bream aquaculture.

솔껍질깍지벌레 암컷성충의 일주기와 관련된 성훼로몬의 체내생산과 발산 습성을 밝히기 위하여 우화후 시간별로 성훼로몬의 보유량 및 발산량을 조사하였다. 체내 생산량 및 발산량은 공히 매일 오전 8시부터 오후 2시사이에 가장 많았으며 오후 4시 이후는 현저히 줄어드는 양상을 나타내었고 또한 우화후 3일이 경과하면 점점 감소하였다. 본 곤충의 생식활동에 있어 성훼로몬의 발산과 암수성충활동의 일주기가 일치하는 것의 의미가 검토되었다.

Sun Yung Shin's poetry collection Skirt Full of Black (2007) brings the author's personal history as a Korean female adoptee to bear upon poetic language in daring formal experiments, instantiating the liminal state of being shuttled across borders to land in an in-between state of marginalization. Other Korean American poets have also drawn on the experience of transnational adoption and racialization explore the literary potential of English to materialize haunting memories or the untranslatable yet persistent echoes of a lost home that gestures across linguistic boundaries, as seen in the case of Lee Herrick or Jennifer Kwon Dobbs. Shin however dismantles the referential foundation of English as a language she was transplanted into through formal transgressions such as frazzled syntax, atypical typography, decontextualized punctuation marks, and phonetic and visual play. The power to signify and thereby differentiate one entity or meaning from another dissipates in the cacophonic feast of signs in Skirt Full of Black; the word fragments of identificatory markers that turn racialized, gendered, and culturally contained subjects into exotic things lose the power to define them as such, and instead become alterities by departing from the conventional meaning-making dynamics of language. Expanding on the avant-garde legacy of Korean American poets Theresa Hak Kyung Cha and Myung Mi Kim to delve further into the liminal space between Korean and American, referential and representational, or spoken and written words, Shin carves out a space for discreteness that does not subscribe to the hierarchical ontology of differential value assignment.

A twelve-month old female, shih-tzu, was presented to diagnose a hind limb ataxia to the Animal Teaching Hospital, Gyeongsang National University. Even though a variety of physical and neurological examination was performed, the cause of the ataxia was not understood. In serum analysis, an elevated levels of ALT, $\gamma$-GTP and LDH were found. A gallstone was subsequently observed at the right 9 and 10th intercostal region on ultrasonography and radiography. Cholelithiasis was diagnosed, and then cholecystotomy was undertaken. No complications were occurred after the operation. The gallstone removed by cholecystotomy was composed of calcium, carbonate and oxalate, identified by a black pigment gallstone.

Red scabream, Pagrus major , is a valuable aquaculture species in Korea , but spontaneous eye abnormality occurred in cultured individuals . The incidence of eye abnormality was 4% in the group of cultured red scebream. The abnormality was characterized by unilateral and bilateral exophthalmos, opacity and lens pathology. Lense prolapse was found in two cases. Lenses in diseased fishes was considerably small in diameter and eyes were deformed as a whole. In the group of induced hybrid red scabream Pagrus major (♀) x black seabrearn Acanthopagrus schlegeli (♂), the incidence of eye abnormality wa~ the same 4%, but only opacity was registered. Opacity was also found in two of sixteen examined Wild-caught red seabrcam. Histopathological changes of lenses in cultured red seabreem included vecuolated cytoplasm of lens fibers, necrosis of fibers in central part of lens, folding and increase in thickness of lens capsule, and epithelial proliferation beneath the anterior lens capsule. In affected eyes no parasites or gas bubbles were found.

One species of the Herminiinae, Hadennia nakatanii Owada is newly recorded from Korea. Hadennia nakatanii can be distinguished by the light blackish forewing with the relatively thick, transverse medial line, a large light yellowish discal dot, the thick blackish slanted band from the apex to the middle part of the dorsum, and the light blackish hindwing, basally suffused with black and medially broadly suffused with black. The female genitalia can be diagnosed by the simple antrum, the long strongly sclerotized ductus bursae, and the large rectangular corpus bursae with a small uplifted signa patch with minute spicules. We provided the figures of adult and the genitalia with short notes on distribution.

This study approaches the novel from psychodynamic perspectives, where the narrative is woven into the strands of traumatic memories and past. Deriving from Julia Kristeva's discussion on melancholia, this paper discreetly examines Hata as a melancholic, who is unaware of what he has lost and even that he has lost. Racially abject but in defiance of his separation from 'the mother,' Hata introjects loss as his own subjectivity. The insoluble void causes him to wander through the bravado of belongingness, which he eventually transforms into Sublimation. This paper reads that Hata finally faces his own black sun, deviating from his earlier gesture life; thus, the novel becomes a successful case study of the melancholic. However, female bodies are at stake, subsumed under Hata's sexual perversion. The novel renders trauma behind the fragmented narrative of an Asian American man at the expense of consuming morbid 'feminine' bodies physically and psychologically.
