This paper attempts to examine an optimal method for the chromosome specific vector extraction. Usually, represented method are used with a line segmentation on a chromosome Image. It is not Inaccurate but also needs a long time for the analysis. This paper purpose to aquire specific vector in the image with a using optimal ellipse estimation method. Normally, shapes of chromosomes are curved and too difficult to analyze automatically. A chromosome has a lot of band which looks like an ellipse. If we can estimate their bands with an ellipse, we can reconstruct the sample Which Is straight and can be analyzed easily. We have rearranged a chromosome Image with above proposed. Result shows a reconstructed sample which Is simple for chromosome analysis.
A mycotoxin is a toxic secondary metabolite produced by organisms of the fungus kingdom, commonly known as molds and has been widely contaminated in agricultural products such as grains and cereals. Many methods including high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC) have already been proposed and reviewed for mycotoxins. These methods are either expensive or time-consuming due to the complication of sample preparation and pre-concentration before determination. In addition, both methods are unsuitable for the routine screening of large sample numbers. A biosensor is a fictive analytical device that combines a biological component with a physicochemical detector for the detection of an analyte. Biosensors represent a rapidly expanding field, at the present time, with an estimated 60% annual growth rate; the major impetus coming from the health-care industry but with some pressure from other areas, such as food safety and environmental monitoring. Antibodies and aptamers are bioreceptors which have been used in the development of biosensors. There are many kinds of antibodies and aptamers specific to mycotoxin, and antibody (or aptamer)-based biosensors have been successfully developed for the detection of mycotoxin. The biosensors permit the rapid, sensitive, simple, and on-site detection of a range of mycotoxins and can be an alternative method to traditional methods such as HPLC and GC. This presentation provides the development trends of biosensors to mycotoxins and their application to food and agricultural products.

Agricultural practice and improper waste disposal in developing regions have resulted in environmental degradation in land and waters, for which low-cost, proven solutions are needed. We demonstrate in the laboratory the applications of composting and trickling filter techniques to treat olive mill wastes that can be implemented in the West Bank and other regions of the world. To a pomace waste sample from a California mill, we amended with saw dust (wood carbon source) and baking soda ($NaHCO_3$ alkalinity) at weight ratios of waste/wood/$NaHCO_3$ at 70:27:1 and composted it for periods of 11 and 48 days; the compost was used as an additive to potting soil for transplanting. The pomace sample was also blended into slurry and introduced to a water-circulating pond and trickling filter system (P/TF) to examine any inhibitive effect of the pomace on biological removal of the organic waste. The results showed the compost-amended potting soil supported plant growth without noticeable stress over 34 days and the P/TF system removed BOD and COD by >90% from the waste liquid within 2 days, with a first-order rate constant of 1.9 $d^{-1}$ in the pond. An onsite treatment design is proposed that promises implementation for agricultural waste disposal in developing regions.
Local probe techniques such as scanning probe microscopy (SPM) or atomic force microscopy (AFM) extended our perception into ultra small world. Specially, the sense of touching was extended by AFM into the micro- and nanoworld and has provided complementary new insights of the microscopic world. In addition, touching objects is an essential step before trying to manipulate things. SPM as a touch sensor not only measure the mechanical properties but also detect different properties such as magnetic, electrical, ionic, thermal, chemical and biophysical properties in nanoscale and even less. Obtaining biophysical measurements, monitoring dynamics and processes together with high-resolution imaging of the biomolecules and cells with rather simpler sample preparation than any other techniques give great attractions to the scientists experimenting with biological samples. Among the many AFM capabilities we will specifically introduce the force plot which is used to measure tip-sample interactions and its application this time.
We evaluated the optimal conditions for fluidization of nickel oxide (NiO) and its reduction into high-purity Ni during hydrogen reduction in a laboratory-scale fluidized bed reactor. A comparative study was performed through structural shape analysis using scanning electron microscopy (SEM); variance in pressure drop, minimum fluidization velocity, terminal velocity, reduction rate, and mass loss were assessed at temperatures ranging from 400 to $600^{\circ}C$ and at 20, 40, and 60 min in reaction time. We estimated the sample weight with most active fluidization to be 200 g based on the bed diameter of the fluidized bed reactor and height of the stocked material. The optimal conditions for NiO hydrogen reduction were found to be height of sample H to the internal fluidized bed reactor diameter D was H/D=1, reaction temperature of $550^{\circ}C$, reaction time of 60 min, superficial gas velocity of 0.011 m/s, and pressure drop of 77 Pa during fluidization. We determined the best operating conditions for the NiO hydrogen reduction process based on these findings.

Background: The Slender racer (Orientocoluber spinalis Peters, 1866) has recently been reclassified to the new genus Orientocoluber from Hierophis. Ecological knowledge of this species is limited due to its highly mobile behavior. On 17 July 2020, we captured a female O. spinalis on Oeyeon Island, Boryeong-si, Republic of Korea, and collected its feces for a diet analysis. We observed snake scales from the collected feces and subsequently determined the prey species through morphological and molecular methods. Results: We initially hypothesized that the extracted fecal sample scales belonged to H. vibakari, due to their thin keel and rhombus shape. We also amplified H. vibakari DNA from the extracted fecal sample using Illumina sequencing methods. Our morphological and molecular results suggest that O. spinalis predates H. vibakari on Oeyeon Island. Conclusion: This is the first report of O. spinalis predating another snake species, ophiophagy, and implies that H. vibakari may be a crucial prey item for O. spinalis on Oeyeon Island.

Protein-protein interaction (PPI) extraction from original text is important for revealing the molecular mechanism of biological processes. With the rapid growth of biomedical literature, manually extracting PPI has become more time-consuming and laborious. Therefore, the automatic PPI extraction from the raw literature through natural language processing technology has attracted the attention of the majority of researchers. We propose a PPI extraction model based on the large pre-trained language model and adversarial training. It enhances the learning of semantic and syntactic features using BioBERT pre-trained weights, which are built on large-scale domain corpora, and adversarial perturbations are applied to the embedding layer to improve the robustness of the model. Experimental results showed that the proposed model achieved the highest F1 scores (83.93% and 90.31%) on two corpora with large sample sizes, namely, AIMed and BioInfer, respectively, compared with the previous method. It also achieved comparable performance on three corpora with small sample sizes, namely, HPRD50, IEPA, and LLL.

Recently, as the clinically positive biological effects of ultra-high dose rate (UHDR) radiation beams have been revealed, interest in flash radiation therapy has increased. Generally, FLASH preclinical experiments are performed using UHDR electron beams generated by linear accelerators. Real-time monitoring of UHDR beams is required to deliver the correct dose to a sample. However, it is difficult to use typical transmission-type ionization chambers for primary beam monitoring because there is no suitable electrometer capable of reading high pulsed currents, and collection efficiency is drastically reduced in pulsed radiation beams with ultra-high doses. In this study, a monitoring method using bremsstrahlung photons generated by irradiation devices and a water phantom was proposed. Charges collected in an ionization chamber located at the back of a water phantom were analyzed using the bremsstrahlung tail on electron depth dose curves obtained using radiochromic films. The dose conversion factor for converting a monitored charge into a delivered dose was determined analytically for the Advanced Markus® chamber and compared with experimentally determined values. It is anticipated that the method proposed in this study can be useful for monitoring sample doses in UHDR electron beam irradiation.

This study describes the conceptual design of a soft x-ray microscope system based on a laserbased source for biomedical application with high resolution (${\leq}$50nm). The laboratory scale soft x-ray microscope consists of high power laser plasma x-ray source and grazing incidence mirrors with high reflectivity. The laser plasma source used for developing this system employs Q-switched Nd-YAG pulsed laser. The laser beam is focused on a tantalum (Ta) target. The Wolter type I mirror was used as condenser optics for sample illumination and as objective mirror for focusing on a detector. The fabrication of the Wolter type I mirror was direct internal cutting using ultraprecision DTM. A hydrated biological specimen was put between the two silicon wafers, the center of which was $Si_3N_4$ windows of 100㎚ thickness. The main issues in the future development work are to make a stable, reliable and reproducible x-ray microscope system.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze effects of hand drying methods after hand-washing. Hand drying methods consisted of spontaneous evaporation, paper towel, hand dryer with rubbing, and hand dryer without rubbing. Methods: The research design was a crossover design. The subjects were eighteen university students and randomly assigned in four group. Each group had the schedule of treatment. The schedule tested one drying method per a day and proceeded for 4 days. The data collection was performed from July 27 to July 30, 2010. Data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis, Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon test. Results: There was significant difference between the after CFU between natural dry, paper towel, air dryer with hand rubbing, and air dryer without hand rubbing(p=.006). The after CFUs of paper towel, natural dry and air dryer without hand rubbing groups were statistically less than air dryer with hand rubbing group. Conclusion: It was shown that the paper towel, spontaneous evaporation and without rubbing hand dryer are effective hand drying interventions on reducing CFU on hand. However additional researches with large sample and strict methodology are needed.
