제초제에 의한 답리작맥 약해발생 요인구명에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Factors Affecting Barley Injury Caused by Herbicides in Drained Paddy Field)

  • I. 보리 발아시 과습조건이 될 때 그 발아에 미치는 영향을 알고져 건토(LiC) 100g당 30cc, 40cc, 50cc, 60cc의 비율로 물을 가하여 수분함량을 각각 다르게 한 조건을 만들어 Check에 대비하여 Machete(Butachlor), TOK(Nitrofen)을 각각 150g, ai/10a 비율로 처리하였던바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 보리 발아시 수분함량이 포장용수량 이상의 과습이 유지될 때는 무처리구에 있어서도 발아율이 급감하거나 발아되지 아니하며 일단 발아된 후에도 근신장 및 생육이 제대로 되지 못하였다. 2. Machete, TOK 등 약제처리구에 있어서도 1)과 경향은 같으나 무처리구 보다는 그 해가 더욱 증대되였다. II. 토성이 다른 4종류의 토양을 대상으로 하여 Machete (제형별 180 g ai/10a), TOK (약량별 150g, 200g ia/10a), saturn(150g ai/10a), HE314, (250g ai/10a)의 4약제를 사용하여 1cm 복토심하에서 완주 봄보리에 대한 약해차이실험을 실시하였든바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. Machete 제형별(180g ai/10a 수준) 약해는 토양의 종류에 따라 심한 차이가 있었으며 식양토에서는 제형에 관계없이 거의 안전하나 사질 식양토<화산회양토<사양토 순위로 약해가 증대되었다. 유제의 약해의 입제의 약해보다 더욱 심하였다. 2. TOK 수화제 150g-200g ai/10a Machete와 거의 동일의 경향이며 약량이 높을 때 약해는 더욱 심하였다. 3. Saturn 150g ai/10a 토성에 따른 약해차이가 있기는 하나 그 차가 심하지는 아니하였다. 4. HE314. 250g ai/10a 250g 시용수준에서는 토성에 따른 약해차가 거의 없었다. III. 2종류의 토양을 대상으로 9개약제(TOK. MO. HE314, Machete, Saturn, Simetryne, Simazine, Gesaran Lorox)을 사용하여 복토심별(4단계)로 약해발생차이를 구명하였던바 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 경식ㅌ조건 : 1) Check에 있어서 복토심별 생육상황은 1cm>1.5cm>0.5cm>0cm의 순위였으며 0-0.5cm 복토구에 있어서는 보리 생육이 매우 불량하였다. 2) 약제처리구에 있어서도 0-0.5cm구에 있어서는 심한 해를 나타내고 있으며 1cm 이상의 복토가 유지될 때 보리에 비교적 안전한 약제는 Saturn, Machete, MO, TOK의 100-150g ai/10a, HE314 375-205g ai/10a구 등이었다. 3) 1.5 cm 복토에 있어서도 징해를 나타낸 약제는 Simazine, Lorox, Simetryne 등이었다. 2. 사질토조건 : 1) Cheick에 있어서 생육상황은 1.5cm>0.5cm>0.5cm>3cm>5cm의 순위이었다. 2) 약제처리구에 있어 MO는 1.5 cm 구에서 안전하였고 TOK의 약해는 1.5cm인때 가장 가벼운 편이다. 3) 3cm이상 복토가 될 때 비교적 안전한 약제는 Machete, Saturn 100g ai/10a, HE314 250g ai/10a 이었다. 4) 복토심에 구애없이 불안전한 약제는 Simazine, Lorox, Simetryne Gesaran 등이었다.

Effect of Chitosan on Nitric Oxide Content and Inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase Activity in Serum and Expression of Inducible Nitric Oxide Synthase mRNA in Small Intestine of Broiler Chickens

  • The present study was conducted to determine the effects of chitosan on nitric oxide (NO) content and inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) activity in serum, and relative expression of iNOS mRNA in the duodenum, jejunum, and ileum of broiler chickens. A total of 240 one-day-old Arbor Acre mixed-sex broiler chickens were randomly allotted to six dietary treatments with five replicates in each treatment and eight chickens in each replicate. The broiler chickens in the six treatments were fed the basal diet supplemented with 0 (control), 0.05, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0 or 2.0 g/kg chitosan. The trial lasted for 42 days. The results showed that dietary chitosan enhanced NO content and iNOS activity in serum as well as iNOS mRNA expression in the duodenum and ileum of broiler chickens in a quadratic dose-dependent manner (p<0.05), and improved jejunum iNOS mRNA expression in a quadratic dose-dependent manner (p<0.10) with increasing addition of chitosan. Chicks fed a diet containing 0.5-1.0 g/kg chitosan had higher NO content and iNOS activity in serum as well as small-intestinal iNOS mRNA expression compared with birds given the control diet, but positive effects of chitosan tended to be suppressed when addition of chitosan in the diet was increased to 2.0 g/kg. These results implied that there was a threshold level of chitosan inclusion beyond which progressive reductions in serum NO content and small intestinal iNOS expression occured, and the regulation of chitosan on immune functions in chickens is probably associated with activated expression of iNOS and NO secretion.

$V_2O_5$ 도핑한 페라이트 페이스트 후막 특성 (Properties of Thick Films Prepared with $V_2O_5$-doped Ferrite Pastes)

  • NiCuZn 페라이트에 V₂O/sub 5/가 0∼0.5 wt% 첨가된 페이스트를 사용하여 스크린 인쇄법으로 페라이트 후막을 제조한 후, 870∼900℃에서 소결하여 V₂O/sub 5/ 첨가량에 따른 소결밀도, 미세구조 등의 물리적 특성 및 자기적 특성 변화를 분석하였다. 소결온도 870℃의 경우 V₂O/sub 5/를 0.5 wt% 첨가한 시편의 소결밀도가 0.58 g/cm³로 가장 hsvrp 나타낫고, 소결온도가 올라갈수록 소결밀도 차이가 줄어들어 900℃의 경우 모든 시편이 5.15g/cm³이상으로 높은 밀도를 나타내었다. V₂O/sub 5/가 0.5 wt% 첨가된 경우에 액상소결이 발달하였으며, V₂O/sub 5/가 0.1, 0.3 wt% 첨가된 시편은 입자성장이 억제되어 입자크기가 V₂O/sub 5/를 첨가하지 않은 시편보다 작았다. 전체의 소결온도 범위에서 V₂O/sub 5/가 첨가되지 않은 시편의 입자크기가 크고 균일하기 때문에 투자율이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 소결온도 880℃ 이상에서 V₂O/sub 5/ 0.3 wt% 첨가 시편의 Q값이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 칩 인덕터용 NiCuZn 페라이트 소재 제조 시, 투자율값을 중시할 경우에는 V₂O/sub 5/를 첨가하지 않아야 하며, 품질계수를 중시할 경우에는 V₂O/sub 5/의 첨가량이 0.3wt%를 넘지 않아야 함을 알 수 있었다.

인망그물의 부양깃판에 관하여 (A Study on Floating Collar of Dragged Gears)

  • In order to improve the net-mouth height of dragged gears, the authors devised models of floatingcollars of nylon cloth instead of floats and experimented with 4 types-A type (length 65em, breadth 3em), B type (length 65em, breadth 4em), C type (length 65em, breadth 5em) and D type (length 65 em, breadth 6em) attached respectively to the front edge of square of a model net after preliminary experimentation. These various types of floating collars were experimented in a circulating water channel to evaluate the characteristics of net-mouth height and hydrodynamic resistance and the effect of the length of bridles were also examined. The results obtained were as follows: 1. In case of attaching floats, the model net-mouth height reduced from 80 em to 20 em when current velocity was increased from 0.25m/see to 1m/sec. 2. In case of attaching floating collars, the model net-mouth heights were maintained 70 em, 71 em, 80 em, 78 em in maximum and 55 em, 63 em, 69 em, 73 em in minimum respectively even the current volocity was increased from 0.25 m/see to 1 m/see. 3. The model net-mouth height was reduced to 10 em maximum according to the current velocity and types of floating collars when the bridles were shortened 3~4 mm in length. 4. Hydrodynamic resistance of D type only was increased to 700 g in maximum and those of A, B, C type were reduced to 460 g in maximum at current velocity beyond 0.5 m/ see when bridles were shortened 3-4 mm in length. 5. But the model net-mouth heights became higher in accordance with breadth of floating coliars, B type was the best for this model net in case that hydrodynamic resistance was taken into account.

Effect of Additive of the Encapsulated Amounts and Solubility of Poorly Water-soluble Ibuprofen in Gelatin Microcapsules

  • Poorly water-soluble ibuprofen and ethanol can be encapsulated in gelatin microcapsule by spray drying technique. To select an optimal formula of ibuprofen-loaded gelatin microcapsule which increased the ethanol content and ibuprofen solubility with the decreased amount of gelatin in the microcapsules, in this study, the effect of gelatin, ibuprofen and sodium lauryl sulfate on the ibuprofen solubility and the amount of ethanol and ibuprofen encapsulated in the gelatin microcapsule were investigated. Ibuprofen solubility and the amount of ethanol encapsulated increased as gelatin and sodium lauryl sulfate increased, reached maximum at 4% and 0.6%, respectively and then followed a rapid decrease. Furthermore, the ibuprofen solubility and the encapsulated ibuprofen content increased as the amount of ibuprofen increased, reaching maximum at 0.5% and beyond that, there was no change in the solubility and ibuprofen content. However, the encapsulated ethanol content remained same irrespective of the amount of ibuprofen. On the basis of increased ibuprofen solubility, our results showed that the formula of ibuprofen-loaded gelatin microcapsule at the ratio of gelatin/ibuprofen/sodium lauryl sulfate/water/ethanol of 4/0.5/0.6/30/70 with ibuprofen solubility of about $290\;{\mu}g/mL$ and ethanol content of about $160\;{\mu}g/mg$ could be a potential oral delivery system for poorly water-soluble ibuprofen.

인삼제품의 첨가에 따른 제빵적성 및 관능평가 (Quality and Sensory Characteristics of White Bread added with Various Ginseng Products)

  • 백삼분말, 홍삼분말 및 홍삼추출농축액 등의 인삼제품을 첨가하여 기능성 식빵 제조에 이용하고자 인삼제품의 첨가량을 달리하여 반죽에 대한 물성을 측정하고 식빵을 제조하여 품질특성을 조사하였다. Farinograph, extensograph 및 amylograph에 의한 분석결과, 인삼제품의 첨가량이 증가할수록 높은 수분흡수력이 나타났고 반죽의 안정도가 무첨가구에 비하여 불안정하여 반죽시간이 단축되었으며 R/E값 및 점도가 감소하였다. 또한 발효시간의 경과에 따라 pH는 하강하였으며 발효팽창력은 무첨가구보다 우수하였으나 일정량이상의 첨가는 가스보유력을 약화시켰다. 인삼분말제품 첨가에 따른 비용적은 백삼분말 2% 첨가 시 5.41 mL/g으로 가장 높았고 홍삼추출농축액첨가제품은 첨가량이 증가할수록 높아져서 4% 첨가 시 5.82 mL/g을 나타냈다. 인삼제품을 첨가한 식빵의 저장 중 경도를 측정한 결과 백삼 및 홍삼분말첨가 시는 무첨가구에 비하여 초기경도가 높았으며 저장일수가 증가할수록 증가하였고 홍삼추출농축액을 첨가한 제품은 초기경도가 무첨가구보다 낮았으며 저장일수가 증가함에 따라 경도의 증가폭이 작았다. 색도 측정결과 인삼제품첨가량이 증가할수록 적색도와 황색도가 증가하였으며 관능검사결과 전체적인 기호도면에서 홍삼추출농축액 2% 첨가한 제품에서 가장 좋은 기호도를 나타내었다.

On the Performance of All-optical Amplify-and-forward Relaying with a Backup Radio-frequency Link Over Strong Atmospheric Turbulence and Misalignment Fading

  • Free-space optical (FSO) communication is considered to be a potential solution to congestion in the radio-frequency spectrum and last-mile-access bottleneck issues in future cellular communication networks, such as 5G and beyond. However, FSO link performance may degrade significantly due to irradiance fluctuations and random temporal fluctuations from atmospheric turbulence. Therefore, in this work the main objective is to reduce the effect of the atmospheric turbulence by considering a multihop FSO communication system with amplify-and-forward relaying supported by a radio-frequency (RF) link, which form a hybrid FSO/RF communication system. The FSO link is assumed to follow the gamma-gamma fading model, which represents strong turbulence. Also, the RF link is modeled by a Rayleigh distribution. The performance of the considered system, in terms of the outage probability and average bit-error rate (BER), is investigated and analyzed under various weather conditions and pointing errors. Furthermore, the effect of the number of employed relay nodes on the performance of the system is investigated. The results indicate that the considered system reduces outage probability and average BER significantly, especially for low channel quality. Finally, the closed-form expressions derived in this work are compared to the results of Monte Carlo simulations, for verification.

Concentrations of Calcium-binding Protein and Bone Gla-protein in Culture Medium and CaBP mRNA Expression in Osteoblasts of Broiler Chickens

  • This study was conducted to determine the effects of excess vitamin A on alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, contents of calcium-binding protein (CaBP), bone gla-protein (BGP) in culture medium and CaBP mRNA expression in chicken osteoblasts in vitro. Osteoblastic cells in the tibia from 1-day-old Arbor Acre broiler chickens were isolated using enzyme digestion. The subconfluenced cells were divided into eight treatments with six replicates in each treatment and cultured in a medium containing either vehicle or different levels of vitamin A (0, 0.2, 0.6, 1.0, 2.0, 5.0, 10.0 and $20.0\;{\mu}g$/ml), and the control received an equivalent volume of ethanol. The incubation lasted 48 h. The results showed that vitamin A down-regulated ALP activity in the culture medium as well as CaBP mRNA expression of osteoblasts in a linear dose-dependent manner (p = 0.124 and p<0.10, respectively), and suppressed the contents of BGP and CaBP in the culture medium in a quadratic dose-dependent manner (p<0.05 and p<0.10, respectively) with increasing addition of vitamin A. The addition of 0-$0.2\;{\mu}g$/ml vitamin A to the culture medium increased ALP activity, BGP and CaBP contents as well as CaBP mRNA expression compared with other groups, but positive effects of vitamin A tended to be suppressed when vitamin A was increased to $1.0\;{\mu}g$/ml, and adverse effects occurred when vitamin A was increased to 10.0-$20.0\;{\mu}g$/ml. These results implied that there was a threshold level of vitamin A inclusion beyond which inhibitory effects occurred, and the mechanism by which overdose of vitamin A reduced bone growth in chickens was probably reduced osteoblastic cell activity, and inhibited expression of CaBP mRNA and CaBP secretion.

튜링의 인지과학: 튜링 탄생 백주년을 기념하는 메타수학 에세이 (Turing's Cognitive Science: A Metamathematical Essay for His Centennial)

  • 이 연구는 튜링의 탄생 백주년을 맞이하여 인지과학을 위한 그의 심대한 공헌을 고찰하기 위한 작업이다. 이 논문에서는 특히 튜링에게 가장 중요한 학문적 영향을 주었던 괴델의 시각을 통하여 튜링의 공헌과 입장이 논의된다. 이를 위하여 메타수학적 접근이 시도되며, (1) 튜링의 인지에 대한 수학적 분석, (2) 보편튜링기계, (3) 보편튜링기계의 한계, (4) 보편튜링기계의 한계를 넘는 모델로서의 오라클튜링기계, (5) 인지과학을 위한 튜링테스트가 논의된다. 이 연구에 의하면, 튜링의 공헌은 다음과 같이 정리될 수 있다. 첫째 튜링은 수리논리를 사용하여 마음과 물리적 세계의 새로운 가교를 발견했다. 둘째, 튜링은 마음의 작동에 대하여 새로운 형식적 분석을 제공했다. 셋째, 튜링은 자신의 튜링기계의 한계를 넘어서는 마음의 새로운 모델로서 오라틀 튜링기계와 연결주의적 신경망기계를 제시했다. 우리 인지과학자들은 튜링의 어깨 위에 서서 늘 새로운 튜링테스트를 기다리고 있게 될 것이다.

해산복족류(海産腹足類)의 Paramyosin의 분리(分離) 및 그 특성(特性)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究) (Isolation and Characterization of Paramyosins of Marine Gastropods)

  • The muscle of abalone, Notohaliotis discus (REEVE), and top-shell, Turbo cornutus Solander, were examined for protein composition. Then paramyosins which are known as one of the important structural protein of the muscle fibrils were isolated from the both muscle and their physico-chemical properties such as solubility, salting-out behaviour, intrinsic viscosity, ATPase activity, etc. involving amino acid composition and N-terminal amino acid residues were investigated to elucidate phylogenie characteristics more intensively from the viewpoint of comparative biochemistry. The analysis of protein composition resulted in the following estimations: abalone muscle; water-soluble protein of 22 %, salt-soluble protein, 34%, alkali-soluble protein, 20%, and stroma protein, 24%, and top-shell muscle; water-soluble protein of 16%, salt-soluble protein, 30%, alkali-soluble protein, 29%, and stroma protein, 25%, respectively. It is demonstrated in sedimentation analysis that paramyosin and myosin-actomyosin account for approximately 65% and 35% of the salt-soluble protein of abalone, and that the composition of both sediments in top-shell was approximately 70% and 30%, respectively. The ultracentrifugally homogenous paramyosins isolated essentially according to Bailey's ethanol-dried method from both of the muscle showed a $S^{\circ}_{20,w}$ of 3. 14s for abalone and a $S^{\circ}_{20,w}$ of 3.50s for top-shell. The both paramyosins were commonly rich in arginine, aspartic acid, and glutamic acid, while scarcely contained proline and tryptophan, in rough accord with the other paramyosins thus far reported. It is clear that these gastropod paramyosins showed of having the characteristic N-terminal amino acid residues such as N-aspartic acid, N-valine, N-serine, and N-threonine in common. The abalone paramyosin completely salted in with KCl beyond $0.35{\mu}$ and the top-shell paramyosin beyond $0.30{\mu}$. The abalone paramyosin was salted-out between 18% and 30% saturation of ammonium sulphate and the top-shell paramyosin between 22% and 29% saturation. The intrinsic viscosities at abalone and top-shell paramyosins at $25^{\circ}C$ were estimated respectively to be 3.1 dl/g and 2.6 dl/g showing somewhat higher than the values for some other paramyosins from lamellibranchs. In regard with the ATPase activity, the para myosin specimens did not exhibit any significant activity over through the pH conditions of 5 to 9.5. irrespective of the presence of $Ca^{++}$ or $Mg^{++}$. So was the case with the abalone paramyosin prepared by a slightly modified Bailey's wet-extraction method.
