The purpose of this study were 1) to find out the benefits sought factors and segment the customers of internet shopping mall, 2) to find out the store image factors of internet shopping mall, and 3) to analyze the internet shopping mall market using perceptual map of segmented groups. The questionnaires dealing with attribute dimension of internet shopping mall image, benefits sought, and demographic variables were selected from the previous studies or were developed for this study. The data from 319 respondents which were collected through the internet survey site was analyzed by factor analysis, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, and $X^2$-test. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Benefit sought by consumer in internet shopping malls was found to include six different factors: assortments of products, search efficiency, brand/fashionability, delivery convenience, promotion service and informativeness. 2. As a result of subdividing the consumers, four distinctive groups were formed on the basis of benefit factors: multi-benefit oriented group, convenience oriented group, brand oriented group and low-benefit oriented group. Demographic traits such as education and income level were proven to significantly differentiate the benefit segments. 3. In the structural components of internet shopping-malls image, product/information, service/convenience and economy were drawn from attribute dimensions. 4. 12 perceptual maps of internet shopping mall image were constructed and each ideal vector were drawn.

This study was to examine the factor structure of pursuing benefit and satisfaction at casual and official wear, to analyze the differences of pursuing benefit, satisfaction, and clothing purchase behavior among the consumer groups segmented by store pursuing benefits, and to provide useful information for establishment of marketing strategies. The subjects were 500 female consumers experienced in purchasing clothes at fashion outlet stores. A total of 500 questionnaires were analyzed with $X^2$-test, ANOVA, factor analysis and Duncan's multiple range test. The results were as follows: 1. Pursuing benefit and satisfaction at casual wear and official wear were composed of 5 factors. 2. Pursuing benefit and satisfaction at casual and offcial wear, and clothing purchasing behavior variables such as informants, frequency of purchase, shopping time, and average monthly expenditure on clothes were significantly different among the 3 segmented groups. Product pursuing group was shown to seek higher level of esthetic feeling, suitability for self image and body, fsshion and symbolic meaning of brand than other groups in casual and official wear and to be most satisfied at symbolic meaning of brand, social recognition, and practicality in casual wear of outlet and at suitability and social recognition in official wear of outlet. Store convenience pursuing group was shown to seek higher level of suitability for self image and body, quality, and practicality than other groups in casual and official wear and to be most satisfied at quality and practicality in casual wear of outlet and at practicality and suitability in of cial wear of outlet. Price pursuing group was shown to seek and to be most satisfied at practicality in casual and official wear of outlet.
This study attempts to assess the effect of the 1st class health insurance program to the income redistribution among the participants in a unit health insurance cooperative. One health insurance cooperative, located in Seoul, with 1558 members and 768 households was selected for this purpose. The relationships between amount of premium payed and benefits from the cooperative were compared. Necessary data were obtained from the bills submitted to the health insurance cooperative by the contracted medical institutions from 1st January 1977 to 30th June 1979. Households and individuals were the unit of the assessment. The indicators measuring income redistribution effect were the ratios between the benefit and expected benefit and the ratios between the benefit and the mean benefit. The major findings were: 1. The ratios between the benefits and the expected benefits were lower than 1 in the high income group and greater than 1 in the middle and lower income groups. This fact imply that the income redistribution effect was shown in the studied groups. It was shown that the middle income group received the greatest benefit, and then the lower income group. 2. The ratios between the benefit ana the mean benefit of the households in the higher standard income grade, were found to be higher. This means that the equity of the benefits of households were not achieved by the policy of the health insurance plan. 3. The health insurance utilization rates of the higher standard income group, measured by the household unit, were higher, and by the individual unit, the same rates of the middle income group were higher than other groups.
The purpose of this study was to overview the meaning of customer loyalty to segment customers based on their loyalty and to analyze the difference of loyal customers' perception of relational benefits in the restaurant industries. A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to 500 adults with dining experience at restaurants. Participants were given a brief description of loyalty and were made to choose a specific restaurant they felt loyal to and one with no loyalty. Attitudinal and behavioral loyalty were used in cluster analysis resulting 4 cluster groups. Each group was named true, spurious, latent, and low loyalty. After the groups were separated, ANOVA was used to see if the score of perceived relational benefit showed difference. All four relational benefit including social, psychological, economic, and customization benefit showed significant difference(p<.001). True loyal customers perceived relational benefit as the highest while low loyal customers showed the lowest. For latent and spurious loyal customers, it was found that latent loyal customers showed higher perception than spurious customers.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of two teaching strategies, benefit appeal, on the nutrition knowledge, attitude toward nutrition and food behavior of 165 university students. We presented university students with either a treat appeal, which emphasized the risks of not-following the recommendations, or a benefit appeal, which emphasized what was to be gained if respondents followed recommendations. We assigned a random sample of 165 students either to a control group or to one of two experimental groups : a threat- or benefit-appeal group. Only respondents in the experimental groups received brochures, but all respondents completed pre- and post- test questionnaires. Students in the benefit appeal group demonstrated significant increases in both nutrition knowledge and more positive attitudes about nutrition education after participation. The control group, however, had no significant increase in knowledge at post-testing. Significant positive correlations resulted at post-testing between nutrition knowledge and attitude, as well as attitude and food behavior for the experimental group. Results from this study suggest that a change in nutrition knowledge precedes a change in attitude. The benefit appeal group appeared to be most effective in changing nutrition knowledge, attitude toward nutrition, and food behavior. (J Community Nutrition 2(2) : 159∼163, 2000)

The purpose of this study were 1) to find out the structural elements in classifying clothes images, and 2) to segment the consumer market for women's street clothes based on clothes image preferences and to identify the group differences in psychological variables, purchasing behavior variables and demographic variables. The sample was taken from 1106 middle class women who were in thier 30's∼40's living in Gwangju city. Consumers were classified into six groups: active image group (35.4%), feminine image group (25.9%). daring image group (16.5%), elegant image group (10.8%), dressy image group (8.9%) and brisk image group (3.5%). Women in their 30's∼40's preferred elegant image, daring image, active image and feminine image. Elegant image oriented group: This group is the lowest education level group and has the highest rating of housewife. This group has the lowest scores use of person information search, Daring image oriented group: Woman in their 30's prefers daring image. This group thinks practical benefit sought is less important than self-expression benefit sought. This group has the highest scores use of non-person information search, Active image oriented group: This group is practical benefit seeking group. and purchases the lowest amount of clothes. The amount of average household income is the lowest. Feminine image oriented group: The amount of average household income is the highest. This group perceives more youth$.$fashion benefit sought and self-expression benefit sought than elegant image oriented group. ANOVA, $\chi$$^2$-test revealed differences among groups according to benefit sought use of information sources, purchasing behavior variables and demographic variables.
The purpose of this study is to research the purchasing behavior according to the pursuit benefit for outdoor wear and to present a direction to outdoor wear. Questionnaire survey was administered to 533 male and female adults in their 30s to 40s living in Seoul and Gyeonggido from May 1 to 15, 2014. Concerning the statistic treatment for data analysis, SPSS for Window 18.0 was used to carry out frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability test, cluster analysis, ANOVA and Duncan test as post-test. Benefit was drawn out as 4 elements including 'showing off & brand benefit sought', 'fashion benefits sought', 'functionality benefits sought' and 'economic benefits sought'. Group analysis according to benefit showed that it was materialized to 'multiple benefit sought group', 'unconcern group', 'showing off & brand benefit sought group' and 'utility benefit sought group'. There is an academic significance in that this research found out the level of benefit in purchasing outdoor wear and the difference of purchasing behavior by consumer groups according to benefit. This result might be used efficiently by marketers in outdoor clothing industry in classifying consumers and establishing the marketing strategy to deal with it.
Background: Bankrupted households have recently been increased due to excessive medical expenditure in Korea. They have not been protected from economic risk when household's member has severe diseases that need a lot of money for treatment. Purpose of this study examines policy effect by comparing unmet needs' change of policy object households and non-object groups. Methods: We used Korea Health panel 2nd 4th data collected by Korea Institute for Health and Social Affairs and National Health Insurance Service. Analysis subjects were 381 households (pre-policy) and 393 households (post-policy) that had cancer and cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Since it was major concern that estimates benefit strengthening policy started by certain time, we setup comparing households which had diabetes, hypertension disease. Comparison subjects were 393,247 households, respectively and we evaluated policy effect using difference in difference (DID) model. Results: Although unmet needs of policy object households were higher than non-object groups, policy execution variable affected negative direction. But interaction-term which shows pure effect of policy was not statistically significant. We utilized multi-DID model to examine factors affecting unmet needs causes. Copayment assistance policy did not significantly affect households that responded to 'economic reason,' and 'no have time to visit' for unmet needs causes. Conclusion: The second copayment assistance policy did not significantly give positive effect to beneficiary households than non-beneficiary groups. When we consider that primary purpose of public insurance guarantee high medical expenditure occurred by unexpected events, it needs to deliberate on switch of benefit strengthening policy that can assist vulnerable people. Also, we suggest that government forward a policy covering non-reimbursable medical expenses as well as switch of benefit strengthening direction because benefit policy do not affect non-covered medical cost which accounts for quarter of total health expenditure.
This study examined the preference and the purchase intention of male and female from 20s through 405 to smart phones. This study verified the differences between the groups according to the socio-demographic factors, the usage pattern of mobile phone, and the perceived cost and the expected benefit. The analysis of the relative influence of those relevant factors was followed. The summaries of this study are as follows; First, the high level factors in purchasing smart phones were the perceived cost and the expected benefit pointed over 3.82. It means that they arc interested in smart phones highly, and if they can support to buy smart phones and situations can be permitted, they would like to buy them. Second, the differences between groups of the preference and the purchase intention were found according to the ages, the marital status and the education level. The results showed that those preference and the purchase intension were measured high at the group of the 20s-30s, the married, and the higher educational level of collage students. Third, expected benefit on smart phones was shown to be divided into two characterized factors through factor analysis. One was 'functional expected benefit' and the other was 'emotional expected benefit'. The functional and the emotional benefit on the using of smart phones were presented high level in group of over graduated students. Forth, the results of the stepwise multiple analysis, which was carried out to find out the influencing factors on the preference and the purchasing intension to smart phones, showed that the most effective factor was the functional expected benefit. The self-expressive propensity, and the education level were followed sequentially. The purchase intention was influenced by both of the functional and the emotional expected benefit. The result of this study shows that the level of the consumer's perceived cost(economic, psychological) and the expected benefit were measured high at the same time. That means that it is necessary to make the consumer information and communicating smoothly in order to lower the cost and enhance the benefit. In addition, This study has its meaning because it found out that functional expected benefit is a factor which has an influence on the Consumer Preference and Purchase Intention on Smart phone. If consumer's function requirements on smart phone are satisfied, it will be able to reduce the consumer problems and increase the consumer satisfaction. The result of this study would be applicable when Smart Phone is used as one of the auxiliary tools for smart consumption.

This study examines the clothing pursuit benefit and pursued image of middle aged men according to lifestyle and body satisfaction. A survey was carried out among male consumers between the ages of 40 and 50, and a total of 322 responses were analyzed by factor analysis, a reliability test, cluster analysis, t-test, and ANOVA. The results of this study were as follows. Middle aged men were classified into four different groups in terms of lifestyles, including health managing, trend-seeking, economic consumption, and proactive lifestyle groups. As a result of looking at the differences in clothing pursuit benefits among four lifestyle groups, two lifestyle groups such as trend-seeking and proactive lifestyle groups both considered individuality more importantly than other clothing pursuit benefits. The proactive lifestyle group considered comfort, social recognition and individuality benefits. As a result of looking at differences in the pursued image of clothing among lifestyle groups, the proactive lifestyle group preferred a classic, refined and mild clothing image. There were significant differences in clothing pursuit benefits and pursued images between high- and low-level groups of body satisfaction. Those with high body satisfaction considered individuality, social recognition, and comfort more than those with low body satisfaction. The high body satisfaction group preferred all clothing images such as mild, classic and refined.
