The environmental control based on interactive thermoregulatory behavior for swine production has many advantages over the conventional temperature-based control methods. Therefore, this study was conducted to compare various feature selection methods using postural images of growing pigs under various environmental conditions. A color CCD camera was used to capture the behavioral images which were then modified to binary images. The binary images were processed by thresholding, edge detection, and thinning techniques to separate the pigs from their background. Following feature were used for the input patterns to the neural network ; \circled1 perimeter, \circled2 area, \circled3 Fourier coefficients (5$\times$5), \circled4 combination of (\circled1 + \circled2), \circled5 combination of (\circled1 + \circled3), \circled6 combination of (\circled2 + \circled3), and \circled7 combination of (\circled1 + \circled2 + \circled3). Using the above each input pattern, the neural network could classify training images with the success rates of 96%, 96%, 96%, 100%, 100%, 96%, 100%, and testing images with those of 88%, 86%, 93%, 96%, 91%, 90%, 98%, respectively. Thus, the combination of perimeter, area and Fourier coefficients of the thinning images as neural network features gave the best performance (98%) in the behavioral classification.
A thesis presented on the study of visitors circulation character, and components in an exhibition space in museums. A behavior ethogram is an investigational tool of tracing examination of visitors. An exhibition layout and behavior characters of exhibition viewing in the configuration of exhibition space are planned by using the method of the behavior ethogram. As time goes by an expansion of a museums concept and changing roles are more extroversive and constructive than the past. It will reflect the phases of the times and show several different aspects. The reflection of the changing circumstance will have to examine an each relationship between exhibition data, exhibition spaces and visitors In the beginning of a plan of the museum. However, the study of a unique behavior pattern and character which are made by moving visitors themselves are quietly not enough studied. The exhibition layout which is considerably examined by the viewing behavior of visitors in act response and a following circulation of viewing have a lack of precise directions and examples. In short, this study ultimately represents to grasp the meaning of the behavior characters of viewing. Furthermore, the basic directions in the museums plan are carefully considered by the reflection of exhibition circulation.
Purpose - to examine the theories related to the internationalization of multinational corporations as well as theories related to internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises. Research design, data, and methodology - traditional theories, e.g. eclectic paradigm and behavioral theory and product life cycle etc. were examined and recent advances theories - network theory, entrepreneurship - were also examined to outline the theory of internationalization of firm. Results - the main schools of international researches are divided into two; one is the economics school, the other is the behavioral school. The economics school has considered internationalization as a pattern of investment in foreign markets explained by rational economic analysis of internalization, ownership, and location advantages. Apart from the economics approach, a theory relevant to smaller firms highlights slow and incremental overseas market commitment. Recent research on the network perspective is fast emerging and it can be applied and well explained on the internationalization of smaller firms, focusing on firm behavior in the context of a network of interorganizational and inter-personal relationships Conclusions - Small medium-sized enterprises have been recently rising, however, there has still been little consolidation of literature in internationalization and most of the relevant theories have been still focusing on explaining the globalization of multinational corporations. Little studied on the internationalization in the context of smaller firms which are distinctly differentiated from larger firms including international new ventures, which the motivation to study strongly calls for more information and studied on small medium-sized enterprises.

Behavioral sequences of the medaka(Oryzias latipes) were investigated through an image system in response to medaka treated with the insecticide and medaka not treated with the insecticide, diazinon(0.1 mg/1). After much observation, behavioral patterns could be divided into 4 patterns: active smooth, active shaking, inactive smooth, and inactive shaking. These patterns were analyzed by 5 features: speed ratio, x and y axes projection, FFT to angle transition, fractal dimension, and center of mass. Each pattern was classified using decision tree. It provide a natural way to incorporate prior knowledge from human experts in fish behavior, The main focus of this study was to determine whether the decision tree could be useful in interpreting and classifying behavior patterns of the animal.

In ASIP design, compiler is required for performance evaluation of processors being designed. The design of machine specific compiler is time consuming. This paper presents the system which generates C compiler from MDL descriptions. Compiler generation using MDL can support user retargetability and concurrency between compiler design and processor design. However, it must overcome semantics gap between compiler and machine. To handle this problem, the proposed system maps behavioral descriptions to library which contains abstract behavior for each tree pattern. Using mapped instructions and information on register file usage, the proposed system generates back-end interface function of the compiler. Generated compilers, for MIPS R3000, ARM9 cores, have been proved by application programs written in C code.
The aim of the present study is to investigate central nervous system (CNS) activity of the methanol extracts of leaves of Caesalpinia bonducella (MECB) and stem bark of Bauhinia racemosa (MEBR) (Caesalpinaceae) in Swiss albino mice and Wistar albino rats. General behavior, exploratory behavior, muscle relaxant activity and phenobarbitone sodium-induced sleeping time were studied. The results revealed that the methanol extracts of leaves of Caesalpinia bonducella at 100 - 200 mg/kg and stem bark of Bauhinia racemosa 100 - 200 mg/kg caused a significant reduction in the spontaneous activity (general behavioral profile), remarkable decrease in exploratory behavioral pattern (Y-maze and head dip test), a reduction in muscle relaxant activity (rotarod and traction tests), and also significantly potentiated phenobarbitone sodium-induced sleeping time. The results suggest that MECB and MEBR exhibit CNS depressant activity in tested animal models.

To inspect how the different sensitivities in BAS (or BIS) moderate on the HRV pattern stimulated by positive or negative affective sound, we measured the electrocardiogram (ECG) of 25 students, consisted of 4 groups depending on the BAS (or BIS) sensitivity, while listening music or being exposed to noise. The power spectral density of HRV was derived from the ECG, and the power of HRV was calculated for 3 major frequency ranges (low frequency [LF], medium frequency [MF], and high frequency [HF]). We found that the index MF/(LF+HF), while listening music, was 20 % higher in the individuals with a low BIS but high BAS than in the individuals with a low sensitivity In both BIS and BAS. Moreover, in the former group this index was 30 % higher while listening music than while being exposed to noise. From these results we suggest that individuals with a low BIS but high BAS be more sensitive to positive affective stimuli than other groups, and the index MF/(LF+HF) be applicable to evaluate positive affects.
Component based development has increasingly become important in the software industry. However, in the current component based development approach with UML, the absence of behavioral description of components brings about a cost problem which causes semantic errors on the testing phase. Accordingly we cannot grasp the usage pattern of component by its provided interfaces which refer to an abstraction of software component. And we cannot guarantee the behavioral conformance of the provided and required interfaces of components. In order to solve these problems, we describe the behaviors of component interfaces by state machine diagram and guarantee their behavior conformance at the modeling phase. We also propose a method to guarantee the behavior conformance of component interfaces with concept of observation equivalence and invocation consistency. And we provide an analyzing tool which checks interface behavior conformance.

The objective of this study was to provide fundamental information on fish swimming behavioral properties. Acoustic data was collected at nighttime from the $10^{th}$ to $12^{th}$ March, 2016 near Yokji Island in the South Sea of South Korea, and was analyzed using the fish track technique. This technique is to identify groups of single targets, which shows a pattern of systematic movement. As a result, the differences of the behavioral properties such as depth, swimming speed, vertical direction, horizontal direction, tortuosity, and depth change among days were minor; however, statistical results (Welch analysis of variance) showed significant difference between days. Especially, the target strength (TS) of the $11^{th}$ were significantly different from the $10^{th}$ and $12^{th}$. It could be assumed that gizzard shad, which was the dominant species from the catch on the $11^{th}$ March, might have affected this difference. The correlation between TS and other properties was very week. The significant difference seemed even small differences of average values because of the large data volume.

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: The objectives were to investigate the effect of a 12-wk intervention with behavioral modification on clinical characteristics and dietary intakes of young and otherwise healthy obese and to identify factors for successful weight loss. The goal was to lose 0.5 kg per week by reducing 300-500 kcal/day and by increasing physical activities. SUBJECTS AND METHODS: Forty four obese subjects (BMI > 25) and 19 normal weight subjects (BMI 18.5-23) finished the 12-week intervention. Obese subjects participated in 5 group educations and 6 individual counseling sessions. Normal weight subjects attended 6 individual counseling sessions for evaluations of dietary intake and exercise pattern. Anthropometric and clinical characteristics and 3-day dietary records were evaluated at baseline and week12. RESULTS: Weight and serum triglyceride and free fatty acid concentrations in obese group decreased significantly with intervention. Intakes of energy, fat, and cholesterol decreased significantly in the obese. Active participation, realistic weight loss goal setting, and weight gain after high school graduation not during childhood were identified as key factors for successful weight loss. CONCLUSIONS: The 12-week intervention with behavioral modification resulted in reduced energy and fat intakes and led to significant weight loss and improvements of clinical characteristics in the obese. The finding that those who became obese during childhood lost less weight indicates the importance of 'early' intervention.
