패션 일러스트레이션에 나타난 판타스틱 신체의 표현 분석 (The Expression of Fantastic Body in Fashion Illustration)

  • These days, the fantastic in opposition to classic beauty becomes a genre of creative body expression. The purpose of this study was to analyze the expressive characteristics of body types and meanings in recent fantastic fashion illustration. The method of this study was to analyze recent documentaries, fashion books, internet web site and so forth. The results were as follows: In literatures, pictures and movies, the category of the fantastic body's expressive types were classified as dominant mutant based on SF, multi body or fragment body by disruption, heterogeneous compound based on myth, personified humanoid and non substance in supernatural boundary. The dominant mutant based on SF was expressed image morphing, composition of machine image with body and modern metamorphosis of classic SF body. It means propensity to post-feminism and reservation of meaning analysis based on human unconsciousness. The multi body or fragment body by disruption in fashion illustration was expressed distorted composition of same body pictures, replacement of different bodies, deconstruction and partial omission of body and composition of meaning or non meaning images. It means permanence of self and basic narcissism. The heterogeneous compound based on myth was expressed general composition or optical illusion of various and aggressive animal motive. It means reinterpretation of original myth, metaphor of basic femme fatale, pursuit of permanence and sign of primitive mind in unconsciousness. The personified humanoid was expressed real human body description of mannequin or ball joint doll and anthropomorphism of robot image. It means representative satisfaction and nostalgia of childhood. The non substance in supernatural boundary was expressed grotesque description of ghost, zombie, vampire, angel, fairy, using of symbolic red, black color and non body. It means human's basic desire about immortality and taboo. Through the result of these study, the expression of fantastic body in fashion illustration will expend expressive method and we will understand human and cultural codes of today.

패션 일러스트레이션의 혼성적 표현 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of Hybrid Expression in Fashion Illustration)

  • Post-modern society leads us to accept diversity and variability instead of pursuit of the absolute truth, beauty or classical value systems, thus leading to hybrid phenomena. The purpose of this study is to analyze characteristics and expressive effects of hybrid expressions through which to provide conceptual bases for interpreting expanded meanings of fashion illustrations that express aesthetic concepts of hybrid culture. Hybrid refers to a condition on which diverse elements are mixed with each other, so any one element can not dominate others. It is often used to create something unique and new by a combination of unprecedented things. Hybrid can be classified into four categories: temporal hybrid, spatial hybrid, morphological hybrid and hybrid of different genres. Temporal hybrid from a combination of past and present in fashion illustration includes temporal blending by repetition and juxtaposition. Spatial hybrid shows itself in the form of inter-penetration and interrelationship by means of projection, overlapping, juxtaposition and multiple space. Morphological hybrid expresses itself through combination of heterogenous forms and restructuring of deformed forms. Hybrid of different genres in fashion illustration applies various graphic elements or photos within the space, and represents blending of arts and daily living. Such hybrid expressions in fashion illustrations reflect the phenomena of diversity and variability of post-modern society. Hybrid expressions in fashion illustrations predict endless possibility of expressing new images through combining various forms or casual elements and can develop toward a new creative technique.

해체주의를 응용한 메이크업 일러스트레이션 (The Make-up illustrations Based on Deconstruction)

  • This study aims to suggest new directions for the development of make-up design by understanding characteristics of deconstruction make-up and to search for new directions and methods in theme expressions and design conceptions by making illustrations with deconstruction themes. This study examines conceptual characteristics of Derrida's deconstruction, and analyzes the various deconstruction make-up styles through the famous fashion magazines such as Beauty Collection, Collections, Fem, Modain, and Vogue since 1997. The make-up illustration works in this study were made depending on these styles. At first, the nature of deconsouction make-up can be explained as deconstruction of existing methods, deconstruction of the sexes and deconstruction of history or ethnicity. The deconstruction of existing methods can be subdivided into decadence make-up, detester make-up, graphic make-up and collage make-up. Deconstruction of the sexes can be explained androgynous make-up. Deconstruction of history or ethnicity is subdivided into white makeup, ancient Egyptian dark eye make-up and raceless make-up. The deconstruction make-up illustrations present infinite possibilities in expression styles through three dimensional expressions and media mixture using not only drawing materials including watercolor, poster-color, and color pencils but also objets including magazines, coarse fabrics, screentone, beads, suede, sand and so on. The study shows that since deconstruction make-up illustrations are not limited to depiction-centered expressions, they serve creating unique images and future inspirations.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 1945년 이전 여성지 표지화에 나타난 실제자료를 발굴 제시하고 이미지를 분석하여 그 시대가 요구하던 미적 이상형을 밝히고자 하는데 있다 이 시기는 근대성 이 성립되기 시작하는 기원의 공간으로 주목받고 있는 동시에 외세의 시선으로 타자화 되고 왜곡된 전통이라는 의심을 받고 있기도 하다. 미적인 이상형은 의복디자인을 통하여 도달하고자 하는 목표이기도 하기에 의류학 연구자들의 지속적인 관심분야이며 그림으로 표현된 인체는 사진의 사실성 보다 더 뚜렷하게 인물의 특성을 강조하여 표현할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 특성을 확인할 수 있는 국립도서관 귀중본 서고와 잡지정보도서관의 소장 자료 원본86점을 바탕으로 실증적 연구와 문헌연구를 병행하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 1920년대 이전에는 외세에 의해 폭력적으로 추진되는 개방에 대한 반감으로 오히려 전통을 고수하려는 경향이 있었다. 1920년대에는 선전 등 전시회에 의하여 그림이 불특정다수에 의하여 감상되는 근대적 문화현상으로 정착되고 일본의 미감에 의한 영향이 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 1930년대에는 서양 영화가 일반 대중들에게 오락으로 자리하게 되고 서구화된 인물을 이상형으로 생각하며 지성미가 미인의 조건으로 요구되기 시작하였다. 1940년대에는 37년부터 심화된 전쟁과 물자부족으로 모성과 건강한 자연미를 의도적으로 권장하였으며 이에 대한 반발로 의고미(疑古美)가 대두되었다.

국가직무능력표준(NCS)기반 헤어 미용 교과서 분석 (A Study on the Hair Beauty Textbook Based on the of National Competency Standards(NCS))

  • 본 연구에서는 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 기준으로 고등학교 헤어 미용 교과서의 수록 범위와 내용을 분석하였다. NCS 기준에 의하면, 헤어 미용의 모든 직무능력 수준은 1~5수준에 속하며, 고등학교 과정 동안 헤어 미용 분야 40개 능력단위 중에서 습득 가능한 능력단위는 30개 항목이다. 고등학교 헤어 미용 교과서는 NCS 직무능력 중 75%에 해당하는 19개 능력단위를 중심으로 발간되었으며, 서술된 교과서 내용은 요구되는 직무 능력의 약 85% 정도를 포함하고 있다. 분석내용을 바탕으로 교과서의 개선 방안은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고등학교 수준에서 습득 가능한 NCS 능력단위 11개에 관한 교과서가 발간되어야 할 것이다. 이와 함께 추가되는 내용을 학습할 수 있는 전문교과 수업 과정이 동시에 확대되어야 할 것이다. 둘째, 헤어 미용 분야에서 사용되는 전문용어의 정립이 필요하다. 셋째, 교과서에 실린 사진 자료와 삽화 자료의 질적 개선작업이 필요하다. 넷째, 교과서의 오타 수정과 함께 사진 및 삽화 자료의 일관된 편집 형식을 유지하는 방향으로 개선되어야 할 것이다. 본 연구 결과는 고등학교 졸업생들이 취업과 동시에 직무를 수행할 수 있는 교육과정과 교과서를 제작하는데 필요한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

패션 일러스트레이션에 표현된 스테레오타입 여성성 (Stereotype Femininity Expressed in Fashion Illustration)

  • This study analyzes the stereotyped femininity with a focus on body codes, which has been continuously expressed in fashion illustrations from the late $19^{th}$ century to the year 2010, and examines the changes in its meaning. Stereotyped femininity was reorganized by the changes in female sex role effected by social changes, as well as by the body discourse and feminism in the late $20^{th}$ century, These socio-cultural backgrounds led to the change in the meaning of stereotyped women expressed in fashion illustrations. The stereotyped women in fashion illustrations are characterized by gender-oriented body, and the typical image of women was reproduced with the marks of poses and looks that feature passiveness and subordination. Then, the gender-oriented body since 1990's shifted to active meaning that positively revealed sexual desire. The space positioned by women is also the symbol of gender. In line with changes over time, the backgrounds in fashion illustrations have changed from private space such as home and nature to public space such as city, which reflects diversification and expansion of space for women. This study has identified the changes in meaning, based on the analysis of the characteristics of stereotyped women expressed in fashion illustrations. Above all, women who were objectified as a subject by dominant discourse have established the concept of active body as an entity. In addition, the symbol of typical femininity is "slim" and "beauty", which reflects the change from the emphasis on childbirth-related femininity to self-control and conquer. On the other hand, the typical features expressed through body have reproduced dichotomous structure, but the emergence of body and background deviated from gender has reorganized the symbolic order of gender.

디스플레이에 있어서 자연과 현상 (phenomenological representation of nature in Display)

  • There is so much difference in the way we perceive nature whether from eastern or western, present or past standpoint. however, awareness of coexistence between human beings and nature along with the concept that the most natural is th e most beautiful remain unchanged. The desire to describe the beauty of nature have existed all through the ages, but the (new) naturalism movement was spawned in our time when so much devastation and side effects took place for the expediency of nature, and field of display has been trying new interpretation of nature with direct or applied method. Naturalism trend is studied using the categories such as relationship between human and nature, space concept in western and eastern society, and the definition of view of nature in modern time. Elements of naturalism display are classified into the element of physical properties and element beyond the physical properties, and then methodology on naturalism display is investigated, using the illustration of display examples, in order to know the most essential elements of display, which are the physical properties such as space, light, object, glass, are expressed based on the elemental concept like nature, an accident, dynamic state, variability. As mentioned above, Naturalism display consists of physical properties and phenomenon. How to ive strong impression to a spectator depends on the ability to create effective space applying these elements. The significance of this study comes to surface in a time when the tremendous emphasis is put on the importance of nature and concerns about the role of display has become even greater.

  • The Buckwheat Season, evaluated as the best of Lee Hyo-seok's literature, is one of the short stories that represent Korean literature. However, vivid literary expressions such as lyrical and beautiful depictions, figurative expressions and dialects, which show the Korean beauty, rather make learners have difficulty and become a factor that fails in reading comprehension. Thus, it is necessary to revise and present the text modified for the learners' language level. The methods of revising a literary text include the revision of linguistic elements such as cryptic vocabulary or sentence structure and the revision of the composition of the text, e.g. suggestion of characters or plot, or insertion of illustration. The methods of revising the language of the text can be divided into methods of simplification and detailing. However, in the process of revising the text, many depend on the adapter's subjective perception, not revising it with objective criteria. This paper revised the text, utilizing by the Academy of Korean Studies, , and the by the National Institute of Korean Language to secure objectivity in revising the text.

『산해경·오장산경』 수해 캐릭터 유형 특성에 관한 분석 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Flood-related Characters in Sanhae-gyeong and Ojang Samgyeong)

  • 영상매체에 등장하는 캐릭터는 성향이나 역할에 따라 상징적인 의미가 다르다. 『산해경』은 B.C. 3~4세기경에 지어진 판타지 소설로 중국의 고대 소설에 등장하는 캐릭터는 유형에 따라 재해를 비롯한 재물, 질환 등 다양한 의미와 상징성을 가지고 있다. 중국인이 생각하는 동물의 상징성과 판타지 소설에 등장하는 캐릭터의 상징성, 그리고 형태적인 분석은 중국의 캐릭터 개발 및 영화 산업에 필요하다. 본 연구는 중국 고전 판타지 소설 『산해경』,『산해경도상전체』, 『산해경도』와 청나라시대의 『산해경존』, 『산해경도록』을 중심으로 캐릭터 이미지를 분석한 결과 첫째, 삽화 이미지에서 캐릭터의 형태가 조금씩 차이를 보이고 있다. 둘째, 산해경의 453개의 캐릭터 중 수해와 관련된 캐릭터는 8개로 '장우', '합유', '화사', '영령', '부제', '승우', '만만', '나어'로 출현만으로도 홍수 및 장마와 같은 수해를 일으키는 캐릭터로 묘사되어 있다. 셋째, 현실 동물과 산해경 캐릭터에 등장하는 캐릭터의상징적인 의미와는 별도로 사물과 동식물이 결합된 창작 캐릭터임을 알 수 있다. 산해경의 지속적인 캐릭터 분석은 영화산업에 광범위하게 활용될 수 있다고 사료된다.
