철도교 콘크리트 슬래브궤도의 사용성에 관한 매개변수 영향 연구 (A Parametric Study on the Serviceability of Concrete Slab Track on Railway Bridges)

  • 교대나 교각 위 교량 슬래브 단부의 변형은 궤도 틀림이나 유지보수의 주요 원인이 되고 있으며, 특히 콘크리트 슬래브궤도가 설치되는 경우에는 궤도구조의 강성과 교량 슬래브와의 일체 성으로 레일 및 지지구조의 사용성에 심각한 영향을 미치는 변형과 추가하중이 발생하게 된다. 이번 연구에서는 교량 슬래브 단부 변형으로 인해 발생하는 궤도구조의 사용성에 영향을 미치는 인자를 파악하고 매개변수 해석을 통해 변수 별 영향 정도를 파악하였다. 연구 결과 단경간교 보다 연속교가 레일 지지점 하중 감소에 유리하고, 마지막 레일 지지점과 교량받침 사이 간격, 교량받침 강성, 체결구 강성이 사용성에 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

  • The rapid growth of the economy recently gas led to increasing social needs for large scaled structures, such as high-rise buildings and long span bridges. In building these large-scaled structures the trend has been to construct foundations beating on or in rock masses in order to ensure stability and serviceability of the structure under several significant loads. However. when designing the drilled shaft foundation socketed in rock masses in Korea, the bearing capacity for the pier used to be determined by using the empirical expression, which depends on the compressive strength of the rock, or presumable bearing capacity recommended on foreign references or manuals. In this study, numerical analyses are used to trace rock-socketed pile behavior and are made alike with pile load test result in field. The result of this numerical analyses study have shown that following factors have a significant influence on the load capacity and settlement of the pier. Significant influence first factor of the geometry of the socket as defined by the length to diameter ratio. Second factor of the modulus of the rock both around the socket and below the base. third factor of the condition of the end of the pier with respect to the removal of drill cuttings and other loose material from the bottom of the socket.

Hydrodynamic Design of Thrust Ring Pump for Large Hydro Turbine Generator Units

  • Thrust-ring-pump is a kind of extreme-low specific speed centrifugal pump with special structure as numerous restrictions from thrust bearing and operation conditions of hydro-generator units. Because the oil circulatory and cooling system with thrust-ring-pump has a lot of advantages in maintenance and compactness in structure, it has widely been used in large and medium-sized hydro-generator units. Since the diameter and the speed of the thrust ring is limited by the generator set, the matching relationship between the flow passage inside the thrust ring (equivalent to impeller) and oil bath (equivalent to volute) has great influence on hydrodynamic performance of thrust-ring-pump. On another hand, the head and flow rate are varying with the operation conditions of hydro-generator units and the oil circulatory and cooling system. As so far, the empirical calculation method is employed during the actual engineering design, in order to guarantee the operating performance of the oil circulatory and cooling system with thrust-ring-pump at different conditions, a collaborative hydrodynamic design and optimization is purposed in this paper. Firstly, the head and flow rate at different conditions are decided by 1D flow numerical simulation of the oil circulatory and cooling system. Secondly, the flow passages of thrust-ring-pump are empirically designed under the restrictions of diameter and the speed of the thrust ring according to the head and flow rate from the simulation. Thirdly, the flow passage geometry matching optimization between thrust ring and oil bath is implemented by means of 3D flow simulation and performance prediction. Then, the pumps and the oil circulatory and cooling system are collaborative hydrodynamic optimized with predicted head-flow rate curve and the efficiency-flow rate curve of thrust-ring-pump. The presented methodology has been adopted by DFEM in design process of thrust-ring-pump and it shown can effectively improve the performance of whole system.

Seismic poundings of multi-story buildings isolated by TFPB against moat walls

  • The gap provided between adjacent structures in the metropolitan cities is mostly narrow due to architectural and financial issues. Consequently, structural pounding occurs between adjacent structures during earthquakes. It causes damages, ranging from minor local to more severe ones, especially in the case of seismically isolated buildings, due to their higher displacements. However, due to the increased flexibility of isolated buildings, the problem could become more detrimental to such structures. The effect of the seismic pounding of moat walls on the response of buildings isolated by Triple Friction Pendulum Bearing (TFPB) is investigated in this paper. To this propose, two symmetric three-dimensional models, including single-story and five-story buildings, are modeled in Opensees. Nonlinear Time History Analyses (NTHA) are performed for seismic evaluation. Also, five different sizes with four different sets of friction coefficients are considered for base isolators to cover a whole range of base isolation systems with various geometry configurations and fundamental period. The results are investigated in terms of base shear, buildings' drift, and roof acceleration. Results indicated a profound effect of poundings against moat walls. In situations of potential pounding, in some cases, the influence of impact on seismic responses of multistory buildings was more remarkable.

카메라 영상의 기하학적 해석을 통한 YOLO 알고리즘 기반 해상물체탐지시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of YOLO-Based Maritime Object Detection System through Geometric Interpretation of Camera Images)

  • 자율운항선박이 상용화되어 연안을 항해하기 위해서는 해상의 장애물을 탐지할 수 있어야 한다. 연안에서 가장 많이 볼 수 있는 장애물 중의 하나는 양식장의 부표이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 YOLO 알고리즘을 이용하여 해상의 부표를 탐지하고, 카메라 영상의 기하학적 해석을 통해 선박으로부터 떨어진 부표의 거리와 방위를 계산하여 장애물을 시각화하는 해상물체탐지시스템을 개발하였다. 1,224장의 양식장 부표 사진으로 해양물체탐지모델을 훈련시킨 결과, 모델의 Precision은 89.0 %, Recall은 95.0 % 그리고 F1-score는 92.0 %이었다. 얻어진 영상좌표를 이용하여 카메라로부터 떨어진 물체의 거리와 방위를 계산하기 위해 카메라 캘리브레이션을 실시하고 해상물체탐지시스템의 성능을 검증하기 위해 Experiment A, B를 설계하였다. 해상물체탐지시스템의 성능을 검증한 결과 해상물체탐지시스템이 레이더보다 근거리 탐지 능력이 뛰어나서 레이더와 더불어 항행보조장비로 사용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

균질화 해석법을 이용한 단열 간극변화에 따른 투수계수 해석 (The homogenization analysis for permeability coefficients by fracture aperture variations)

  • 이 연구에서는 간극변화에 따른 단열 기하양상을 충분히 고려한 투수계수를 구하고자 균질화 해석법을 이용하여 투수계수를 산정 하였다. 공초점 레이저 스캔 현미경을 이용하여 압력 단계별 간극을 측정한 결과 한개 시료 내에서 각 측정지점별 간극 크기는 모두 다르게 나타나며 단열 면 양쪽이 서로 평행하지 않고 불 평탄한 양상임을 잘 나타낸다. 각 시료별로 압력 단계별 간극양상을 이용하여 단열모델을 각각 작성하고 균질화 해석법을 통해 간극 양상에 따른 투수성 변화를 살펴본 결과, 각 시료별로 산정한 투수계수는 $10^{-1}~10^{-3}cm/sec$의 범위에 분포한다. 시료들은 대체로 압력이 증가함에 따라 일반적으로 투수계수가 감소하는 양상을 나타낸다. 그러나, 시료별로 압력에 따른 투수계수 감소비율이 일정하지 않고 다양한 변화양상을 보인다. 이와 같은 양상은 Chae et al.(2003)의 관찰결과와 잘 일치하며, 이는 간극의 변화가 투수성에 미치는 영향이 크다는 것을 입증한다. 동일 시료 내에서도 3등분한 지점별로 각기 다른 투수계수 값이 계산되었다. 이는 투수계수가 간극의 크기와 분포형태에 따라 민감하게 변화함을 지시하는 것이다. 따라서, 간극 분포가 일정하지 않은 암석 내 단열에서의 투수특성 해석 시에는 정확한 단열 기하양상을 반영하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 따라서, 단열 내 투수계수 산정을 위해서는 단열 기하양상을 충분히 고려할 필요가 있다.

대곡면 후곡판 성형을 위한 블랭크 지지구조의 적합성 연구 (A Compatibility Study on Blank Support Structure for Large and Curved Thick Plate Forming)

  • Thick plate forming is presented to manufacture a large and curved member of steam turbine diaphragm. Due to three-dimensional asymmetry of target geometry, it is hard to consistently keep the blank position in die cavity between forming punch and die. In order to relieve the position instability of the blank during the thick plate forming, a blank support structure is proposed to be composed of guide pins and linear bearing, and blank guide arm enlarged from both longitudinal ends of the thick blank. In this study, parametric investigations with regard to the geometric position and width of the blank guide arm are carried out. As main geometric parameters, 2 positions such as maximum curvature region and minimum one on a curved cross-section profile of the target shape are selected, and 14 widths of the blank guide arm are considered. Using 28 variable combinations, three-dimensional numerical simulations are performed to predict the appropriate range of the process parameters. The compatibility and validity of the blank support structure with the blank guide arm for the thick plate forming is verified through the thick plate forming experiments.

공작기계 LM 베어링의 정동적 특성을 반영하는 전산 모델링 (A Computational Modeling Reflecting Static and Dynamic Characteristics of LM Bearings for Machine Tools)

  • This paper suggests a computational modeling to reflect static/dynamic characteristics of LM bearings. A theoretical study for modeling LM bearings is elucidated by using the Hertz contact theory, the Lagrange's equation of motion, normal mode analysis and a calculation of equivalent moment center. The complex geometry of LM bearings is replaced by a simplified model with eight springs only. The suggested model reflects static and dynamic characteristics of LM bearings without any consideration for the shape of the bed or stages on the LM bearings. The modal experimental results are compared to the simulation results with the suggested computational modeling. The difference between the experiments and simulation is calculated less than 8%.

점성토지반에 축조한 제방의 변형추정 -고흥만 방수제 사례연구를 중심으로- (A Deformation Prediction of the Embankment on the Soft Clayey Foundation - A Case Study of the Sea Dike of Koheung Bay -)

  • This paper aims at developing the prediction technique of the deformation for the embankment such as sea dike and shore protection relevant to reclamation project along the southern coast of the Korean Peninsula. Generally total deformation of a sea dike over clayey foundation are composed of immediate settlement, plastic deformation and consolidation settlement. Plastic deformation occurs when the ultimate bearing capacity is less than overburden pressure containing the stress increment due to the construction of an embankment. The reliable prediction of total settlement is very important since deformed final geometry of sea dike is directly connected for analysing the safety of the long-term slope failure and piping. During this study, plastic deformation, major part of deformation was analysed using the program developed by authors, whereas immediate settlement and consolidation settlement were predicted by Mochinaka and Sena's method and Terzaghi's 1-dimensional theory of consolidation respectively. In order to validate the prediction technique for the deformation, a case study of Koheung Bay reclamation works was carried out. A good agreement was obtained between observation and prediction, which means the applicability of the technique.

  • 이 논문은 필라멘트 와인딩 공법으로 제작된 cone형 복합재 lattice 구조물에 대한 연구이다. cone형 복합재 lattice 구조물은 helical rib과 hoop rib 구조로 이루어져 있다. 이 구조는 탄소 섬유를 에폭시수지에 함침 시켜 섬유의 끊어짐이 없이 연속적으로 실리콘 고무 금형의 홈 안에 필라멘트 와인딩 하여 제작한 것이다. 본 연구에서 cone형 복합재 lattice 구조물에 대한 설계 개념과 제작방법에 대해 기술하였다.
