초음파 감쇠계수에 의한 균열길이의 측정 (Measurement of Crack Length by Ultrasonic Attenuation Coefficient)

  • In this paper, the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient was measured by variation of crack length for double-cantilever beam(DCB) specimen. The energy release rate, G, was obtained by the experimental measurement of compliance. The experimental results represents that the relation between crack length for the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient and energy release rate is increased proportionally. From the results of experiments, the measurement method of crack length by the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient was proposed and discussed.

  • In this paper, an interfacial crack length has been detected by using the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient on the adhesively bonded double-cantilever beam (DCB) joints. The correlations between energy release rates which were investigated by experimental measurement, the boundary element method (BEM) and Ripling's equation are compared with each other. The experimental results show that the interfacial crack length for the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient and energy release rate increases proportionally. From the experimental results, we propose a method to detect the interfacial crack length by using the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient and discuss it.

  • The initial crack often occurs on the bonded interface and it is the general cause of the interface fracture. It is very significant to establish the measurement method of interfacial crack by applying the ultrasonic technology into the interface of bonded dissimilar materials. In this paper, the interfacial crack length was measured by ultrasonic attenuation coefficient in the Al/Epoxy bonded dissimilar materials of double-cantilever beam(DCB). The energy release rate, G, was obtained by the experimental and Ripling's equation measurement of compliance. The experimental results represent that the relation between interfacial crack length for the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient and energy release rate is increased proportionally. From the experimental results, a measurement method of the interfacial crack length by the ultrasonic attenuation coefficient was proposed and discussed.

  • In estimating the freguency-dependent attenuation coefficient, we analyzed the range-dependent ultrasonic beam and proposed the method of calculating the experimental equation of beam pattern in order to reduce the error on the influence of beam pattern. These experimental equations are divided into the spectral centroid and the spec ural standard deviation slope according to axial propagation length. These are repnesented by the first-order equation in the near field of the beam and the second- order eqLlatlon In the far field. In order to prove the validity of this method, the attenuation coefficients of the non-corrected ease and the corrected case are compared. Using the reflected signal from acryle plate, the attenuation coefficients were estimated by the spectral shift method ann the spectral difference method. The result shows attenuation coeffi talents after correction are better than attenuation coefficients before correction. And this method can be applied In vivo measurement.

광자극형광나노닷선량계를 사용한 X선 빔의 유효에너지 결정 (Determination of the Effective Energy of X-Ray Beam Using Optically Stimulated Luminescent nanoDot Dosimeters)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 다종에너지 X선 빔의 유효에너지를 결정하는데 있다. 80 kVp X선 빔에 대한 알루미늄의 반가층은 광자극형광나노닷선량계들(OSLnDs)을 사용하여 측정하였다. 선감쇠계수(${\mu}$)는 측정된 반가층을 사용하여 계산하였다. 그리고 질량감쇠계수(${\mu}/{\rho}$)는 알루미늄의 밀도로 선감쇠계수를 나누어 얻었다. 얻어진 질량감쇠계수의 유효에너지($E_{eff}$)는 미국표준기술연구소(NIST)에서 주어진 알루미늄의 광자에너지들에 대한 X선질량감쇠계수들의 자료를 사용하여 결정하였다. 결과로서, 반가층, 선감쇠계수 및 질량감쇠계수는 각각 2.262 mmAl, $3.06cm^{-1}$, $1.114cm^2/g$이다. 그리고 유효에너지는 29.79 keV에서 결정되었다.

6 MV X-선 빔의 등가에너지 결정 (Determination of the Equivalent Energy of a 6 MV X-ray Beam)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 실험으로 6 MV X-선 빔의 등가에너지를 결정하는 데 있다. 6 MV X-선 빔에 대한 납의 반가층은 전리함을 사용하여 측정하였다. 선감쇠계수는 측정된 반가층을 사용하여 계산하였다. 그리고 질량감쇠계수는 납의 밀도로 선감쇠계수를 나누어 얻었다. 얻어진 질량감쇠계수의 등가에너지는 미국표준기술연구소에서 주어진 납의 광자에너지 대 질량감쇠계수 자료를 사용하여 결정하였다. 그 결과로서, 6 MV X-선 빔에 대한 등가에너지는 1.61 MeV로 결정되었다. 이 등가에너지는 Reft가 보고한 것 보다 약 30% 낮게 결정되었다. 그 원인은 납 감쇠기 사이의 공기공동의 존재에 기인한 것으로 추정된다.

유방촬영의 kV X-선 빔에서 유효광자에너지에 대한 계산식 (Calculation Formula for Effective Photon Energy in kV X-ray Beam of Mammography)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 유방촬영의 X-선 빔에서 유효광자에너지를 쉽게 계산할 수 있는 계산식을 구하는데 있다. X2 MAM Sensor를 사용하여 각각의 설정관전압에 대하여 측정관전압을 얻었다. 알루미늄 여과체의 알루미늄에 대한 질량감쇠계수는 각각의 측정관전압 X-선 빔에서 반가층 측정으로부터 구하였다. 각각의 측정관전압 X-선 빔으로부터 구하여진 알루미늄의 질량감쇠계수는 NIST로부터 얻어진 광자에너지별 알루미늄의 질량감쇠계수에 대응시켰다. 일치하는 질량감쇠계수에 대응하는 광자에너지가 유효광자에너지로 결정되었다. 결정된 유효광자에너지의 계산식은 Origin pro 2019b 통계프로그램에서 각각의 측정관전압에 대한 유효광자에너지를 다항식으로 정합하여 y=28.98968-1.91738x+0.07786x2-0.000946717x3으로 얻었다. 여기서 x는 측정관전압이고, y는 유효광자에너지이다. 이 연구에서 얻어진 유방촬영 X-선 빔의 유효광자에너지의 계산식은 임상에서 X-선 빔과 어떤 물질과의 상호작용 계수를 구하는데 아주 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

광감쇄를 이용한 마모입자의 농도 측정 (Wear Debris Concentration Measurement by Laser Beam Attenuation)

  • The size and concentration of wear debris in lubricating oil often reveal the operating condition of the rotating machinery. To evaluate the possible application of light attenuation measurement for the estimation of wear debris concentration in the lubricating oil, the light transmittance through the lubricating oil cell contaminated with various concentrations of diatomite particles was measured, the attenuation coefficient was estimated from the transmittance measurement and the coefficients were compared with those obtained from the scattering theory. The comparision showed good agreements between them. It is also noted that the experimentally determined attenuation coefficient showed almost linear relation with particle weight concentrations for the concentrations within the range of 2000 ppm. For the case of 0 ppm weight concentration of diatomite particles in the lubricating oil cell, the thickness of the cell required to give $100 \mu W$ light attenuation is 7.75 mm. This result indicates that the light attenuation method will be one of the possible candidates of machine failure diagnostic sensors for the estimation of wear debris concentration in the lubricating oil.
