This study deals with the motion modeling by the unit motion of robots and the work measurement through classification of robot motions and standardization. The proposed approach is to scrutinize the Predetermined Time Standards(PTS) methods for measurement of manual tasks performed by people and the basic motions for accomplishing that tasks. And then, it constructs the unit motion models as subsets composed with the basic motions. It apply together with movements distance as a time variable, too. These results are used for the work measurements of robots by the unit motion models.

In this paper, we propose a VLSI architecture for implementing a crecently proposed fast block matching algorithm, which is called the HSBMA3S. The proposed architecture consists of a systolic array based basic unit and two shift register arrays. And it covers a search range of -32 ~+31. By using a basic unit repeatedly, we can redcue the number of gates. To implement the basic unit, we can select one among various conventional systolic arrays by trading-off between speed and hardware cost. In this paper, the architecture for the basic unit is selected so that the hardware cost can be minimized. The proposed architecture is fast enough for low bit-rate applications (frame size of 352x288, 30 frames/sec) and can be implemented by less than 20,000 gates. Moreover, by simply modifying the basic unit, the architecture can be used for the higher bit-rate application of the frame size of 720*480 and 30 frames/sec.

Background: Inflammation is known to underlie the pathogenesis in neuropathic pain. This study investigated the anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective mechanisms involved in antinociceptive effects of co-administration of acetaminophen and L-carnosine in chronic constriction injury (CCI)-induced peripheral neuropathy in male Wistar rats. Methods: Fifty-six male Wistar rats were randomly divided into seven experimental groups (n = 8) treated with normal saline/acetaminophen/acetaminophen + L-carnosine. CCI was used to induce neuropathic pain in rats. Hyperalgesia and allodynia were assessed using hotplate and von Frey tests, respectively. Investigation of spinal proinflammatory cytokines and antioxidant system were carried out after twenty-one days of treatment. Results: The results showed that the co-administration of acetaminophen and L-carnosine significantly (P < 0.001) increased the paw withdrawal threshold to thermal and mechanical stimuli in ligated rats compared to the ligated naïve group. There was a significant (P < 0.001) decrease in the levels of nuclear factor kappa light chain enhancer B cell inhibitor, calcium ion, interleukin-1-beta, and tumour necrotic factor-alpha in the spinal cord of the group coadministered with acetaminophen and L-carnosine compared to the ligated control group. Co-administration with acetaminophen and L-carnosine increased the antioxidant enzymatic activities and reduced the lipid peroxidation in the spinal cord. Conclusions: Co-administration of acetaminophen and L-carnosine has anti-inflammatory effects as a mechanism that mediate its antinociceptive effects in CCI-induced peripheral neuropathy in Wistar rat.

'Basic Inquiry' unit was newly included in the grade 3~4 science textbook developed for 2009 revised national curriculum. The unit deals with six basic inquiry skills such as 'observation', 'measurement', 'classification', 'prediction', 'inference', and 'communication'. This study investigated elementary school teachers' perceptions on the effects of 'Basic Inquiry' unit by questionnaires (N=104 for pre-survey, N=90 for post-survey). The results showed that how the teachers have taught basic inquiry skills before this new textbook and how they perceived the educational effects of the unit after experimental teaching period in three aspects; development of basic inquiry skills, facilitating science learning in other units, and implementation of open inquiry. The reasons of positive perceptions as well as negative perceptions were analyzed and discussed with the suggestions for further study.

With the recent emergence of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the government is promoting the development of smart construction technology and institutional improvement through various policies to induce cutting-edge and technological innovation in the construction industry. As part of such smart construction technology, the application of BIM is being activated, and related regulations and guidelines are constantly being supplemented. In relation to BIM, there are many studies on the fields of library, design standards etc., but research on specific unit price utilization and unit price DB construction for calculating construction cost is insufficient. Therefore, in this study, a basic study was conducted on the linkage of the construction standard market unit price and the BIM library. Based on the basic research conducted in the future, we intend to establish specific standards for calculating BIM-based construction costs.

This study provide the planning guidelines for the existing and the new alternative. On the bases of survey and analysis, the basic data for OP-Unit have been proposed in consideration of the development of medical science and hygiene, economic conditions during the last twenty years in Germany. The results of the study were firstly, genera1 basic data, secondly, guidelines of the architectural design for OP-Unit und rooms, thirdly, new alternative OP-Unit with 2 and 3 operation rooms.

In this paper, an environmental assessment was carried out on the whole process of industrial business activities to establish a basic plan for climate change mitigation and energy independency. The whole process was divided into each discharge process in terms of water, air, solid waste, green house gases and refractory organic compounds. The flowcharts and basic unit of process were analysed for three years (2008-2010), being utilized as basic information for the life cycle assessment. It was found that the unit loading for the whole process significantly depends on changes in the operation rate change and highly concentrated wastewater inflow. About 35% of solid waste production was reduced by improving the incineration method with co-combustion in coal boiler, generating about 57% of electricity used for the whole process, and consequently reducing the energy costs. As the eco-efficiency index was found to be more than 1, compared to the previous years, it can be said that improvement in general has taken place.

The purpose of the study is to identify a basic spatial unit for rural village redevelopment plan. An ideal spatial unit need to satisfy three basic premises: to be homogeneous as rural community, to be appropriate to implement the project, and to be compatible with regional planning systems. A spatial unit could, empirically, be defined based on the homogeneity at first, and then appropriateness and compatibility could be used to adjust its boundary. Mitan-Myun(13 villages), Pyungchang County, Dochuck-Myun(15 villages), Kwangju County, and Chuksan-Myun(28 villages), Kimje City in Korea were selected as case study areas. The degree of interrelationship between all possible pairs in each Myun was measured using spatial, socio-cultural, and economic indicators. Multidimensional Scaling(MDS) was used to identify a homogeneous spatial unit, and then indicators representing appropriateness and compatibility were used to adjust the identified boundary. New districts which have two or three villages were suggested as a reasonable spatial unit for rural village redevelopment, and its boundary roughly overlaps with Bup-Jeong-Ri(法定里: a legally defined village).

In this paper, a teaching unit on series of number sentences with patterns is designed according to Wittmann's perspectives. In this paper, series of number sentences wish patterns means number sentences in which some patterns are contained. especially, seven kinds of number sentences wish patterns are offered as basic materials, and fifteen tasks based on these basic materials are offered. These tasks are for ninth grade students and higher grade students. These tasks heap students to recognize patterns, and to understand mechanism underlying in those patterns by looking for patterns and proving whether these patterns are generally hold. As working on these tasks, students can reinforce meaning of algebraic expression, its manipulation, and concept of number series. Students also can reinforce mathematical thinking such as analogical thinking, deductive thinking, etc. In this point, this teaching unit reveal important objectives, contents, and Principles of mathematics education. This teaching unit can also be rich sources for student's activities. Especially, for each task's level is different, each student's personal ability is considered fully. Since teachers can know mathematical facet, psychological facet, and didactical facet holistically, this teaching unit can offer broad possibilities for experimental studies. SD, this leaching unit can be said to be substantial. In this paper, this leaching unit is not applied in classroom directly. Actually such applying in classroom is suggested as follow-up studies. By appling this teaching unit in various classroom, some effective informations for teaching this teaching unit and some particular phenomenons in those teaching processes can be identified, and this teaching unit can be revised to be better one.
