The Effect of Pre-service Early Childhood Teachers' Basic Psychological Needs and Characteristics on Flourish (예비유아교사의 기본심리욕구와 인성이 행복플로리시에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to provide basic data in order to increase the flourish of early childhood pre-service teachers by examining pre-service teacher's basic psychological needs and characteristics on flourish. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted on 200 pre-service teachers majoring in early childhood education in Busan and the results were analyzed. Results: First, the level of basic psychological needs, characteristics and flourish of pre-service teachers was above average and there was a significant positive correlation between basic psychological needs, characteristics and flourish. Second, the characteristics of pre-service teachers were relatively more influential on flourish than basic psychological needs. Conclusion/Implications: The main variables predicting early childhood pre-service teacher's flourish are characteristics and basic psychological needs. And as characteristics and basic psychological needs of pre-service teachers are promoted, the flourish of pre-service teachers is increased.

Application of SOM for the Detection of Spatial Distribution considering the Analysis of Basic Statistics for Water Quality and Runoff Data (수질 및 유량자료의 기초통계량 분석에 따른 공간분포 파악을 위한 SOM의 적용)

  • In order to support the basic information for planning and performing the environment management such as Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), it is highly recommended to understand the spatial distribution of water quality and runoff data in the unit watersheds. Therefore, in the present study, we applied Self-Organizing Map (SOM) to detect the characteristics of spatial distribution of Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) concentration and runoff data which have been measured in the Yeongsan, Seomjin, and Tamjin River basins. For the purpose, the input dataset for SOM was constructed with the mean, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis values of the respective data measured from the stations of 22-subbasins in the rivers. The results showed that the $4{\times}4$ array structure of SOM was selected by the trial and error method and the best performance was revealed when it classified the stations into three clusters according to the basic statistics. The cluster-1 and 2 were classified primarily by the skewness and kurtosis of runoff data and the cluster-3 including the basic statistics of YB_B, YB_C, and YB_D stations was clearly decomposed by the mean value of BOD concentration showing the worst condition of water quality among the three clusters. Consequently, the methodology based on the SOM proposed in the present study can be considered that it is highly applicable to detect the spatial distribution of BOD concentration and runoff data and it can be used effectively for the further utilization using different water quality items as a data analysis tool.

A Survey on the Educational Status of Basic Korean Medicine and Basic Medical Science in Colleges of Korean Medicine in 2020 (2020년 전국한의과대학 기초한의학 및 기초의학 교육현황 조사)

  • Objectives: This study was aimed to present a summary and analysis of a survey on the educational status of basic Korean medicine and basic medical science in colleges of Korean medicine nationwide. Methods: The data on the curriculum and weekly education plans were acquired in the first half of 2020. Data showing the educational status and contents of basic Korean medicine and basic medical science were extracted. Results: Most of the colleges were providing a subject-based education. All subjects of basic Korean medicine were included in the required courses for majors, and most of them appeared to have developed and been using common main textbooks and standardized educational contents. However, there were some subjects in which the education period was dispersed until the 3rd and 4th grades, or in which discussions to develop and use common textbooks and standardized educational content were required. Most of the subjects of basic medical science were also educated as required courses for majors, but there were some subjects with a low curriculum establishment rate, and these could be considered as areas to be reinforced first when reorganizing the curriculum. Conclusions: It is expected that the findings of this study would be a basis for exploring the ways to concrete changes that are desirable and also realistically feasible when reorganizing the curriculum of colleges of Korean medicine in the near future.

The Relationship between Children's Information Processing and Basic Learning Abilities (유아의 정보처리능력과 기초학습능력 간 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between children's information processing ability and basic learning abilities. To collect the data, two tests were given to 99 children. The Korean K-ABC(Moon & Byun, 1997) and Pictorial Basic Learning Abilities for Children(Kim, 2011) were used to examine the relationship between children's information processing and basic learning abilities. The collected data were analyzed by correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. According to the results of this study, there was a significant positive correlation between information processing(sequential processing, simultaneous processing) and basic learning abilities including reading, writing, and basic mathematics. And information processing significantly affected basic learning abilities. Namely, simultaneous processing explained 22% of basic learning abilities and by adding sequential processing, the explanation was increased to 25%. In conclusion, the results of this study suggest various implications about children's basic learning abilities. These implications will help teachers and parents to understand their children's learning.

The Effect of Dramatic Play Using Economic-Fairy Tales on Preschoolers' Basic-Economic Understanding and Consumer Behavior (경제동화를 활용한 극놀이 활동이 유아의 경제개념 및 소비자행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study analyzed the effects of dramatic play using Economic-fairy tales on young children's basic- economic understanding and the consumer behavior. The participants in this study were 42 young children who attended a kindergarten in G city. The mean age of participants was 70 months. The experimental group participated in 'Dramatic play using Economic-fairy tales' while the control group participated in a 'Discussion activity using Economic-fairy tales'. The experiment used 'The Basic-Economic Concept Test' and 'The Consumer Behavior Test' in the collection of data and T-test was used to statistically analyze the data. Significant differences were found between the experimental group and comparison group in both the post-test score of Basic-Economic Understanding and of Consumer Behavior NOTE. In conclusion, the results of this study suggested that the technique of dramatic play using Economic-fairy tales which was developed in this study are probably effective in developing young children's basic-economic understanding and consumer behavior.

  • To improve the naval ship acquisition process, systems engineering, modeling and simulation, etc. have been introduced, and there has been ongoing research on acquisition systems for effective support of it. However, due to characteristics of the naval ship acquisition process, development process mainly carried out at a shipyard such as basic design, detailed design, construction and test is difficult to integrate with the acquisition systems of IPT(Integrated Project Team). In addition, research aimed to improve this is rather lacking. In this paper, the naval ship product structure concept proposed in previous research was applied to the basic design system at shipyard, and basic research for expanding the coverage of naval ship acquisition systems to the basic design phase is performed. A data structure of modeling system appropriate to the basic design phase was proposed through research findings and the prototype system based on it was implemented.

A study on the relationship between the mathematical learning status and basic mathematical ability of K university freshmen: for nursing, dental health, computer, and engineering departments (K 대학 신입생의 수학학습 실태와 기본 수리 능력과의 관계: 간호·치과보건계열과 컴퓨터·공학계열을 대상으로)

  • Purpose: This study attempted to collect basic data to improve the basic repair ability of university freshmen in a world where the usage of advanced medical devices related to computer programs is now common. Methods: The collected data from 280 university freshmen enrolled in nursing, dental, and health degrees or computer and engineering degrees at K university of Gangwon-do were analyzed using the t-test, ANOVA, correlation analysis, and linear regression analysis using the IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 21.0 (IBM). Results: The mathematical learning status and the detailed factors of basic mathematical ability had a positive (+) correlation. The factors of basic mathematical ability, psychology of learning (p<0.001), method of learning (p<0.001), and propensity to learn (p<0.05) were found to be statistically significant, and the model's explanatory power was 40.0%. Conclusion: As a result of this study and considering that advanced medical devices such as computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing and three-dimensional printers are becoming more common and up-to-date in clinical settings, it is determined that nursing and dental health students require education to improve their repair skills.

The Attitude about BLS of College Students (대학생의 기본인명구조술에 대한 태도)

  • This study examined the attitude about Basic Life Support of college students, college students' perception of the efficacy and concerns regarding performing of Basic Life Support via a written survey. This study was conducted among the fresh students of college. The survey was done from March 1 to April 1, 2005. Total subjects in this study were 234. The collected data were analyzed, by SPSS. The summary of the research is as follows: The subjects who had previously heard about Basic Life Support were 94.3%. 2. The subjects who had previously learned about Basic Life Support were 11.9%. 3. The attitude of subjects to Basic Life Support education was positive. Of the respondents, 95.7% wanted to learn Basic Life Support and 56.8% would be williling to provide Basic Life Support to collapsed person. If known the method of Basic Life Support than 83.3% of subjects would be willing to provide Basic Life Support to collapsed person. 4. Over than half(56.8%) indicated, that they would attempt to provide Basic Life Support if a student collapsed. 5. Concerns regarding performing Basic Life Support on students was 'doing it correctly'. 6. The subjects who had previously heard about AED were 65.0%. This study suggests that college students high perception of the effectiveness of the Basic Life Support and that they would be willing to provide Basic Life Support in a medical emergency.

  • This study is the basic step of including the economical value of household labor into the existing GDP. Therefore this study analyzes statistical data; $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$Economical Active Population Survey$\mathbb{\lrcorner}$, $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$Time Used Survey$\mathbb{\lrcorner}$, $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$Basic Wage Structural Survey$\mathbb{\lrcorner}$, and $\mathbb{\ulcorner}$City Household Survey$\mathbb{\lrcorner}$ for that step and will help people to reconsider the importance of the economical value household work. Economical Active Population Survey classifies housework as economically nonoproductive activity Time Use Survey does not have an clear classification for action. Basic Wage Structural Survey must give subdividable information on wage. City Household Survey should include more details and more data of household durables.

A Development of the Elements on Occupational Basic Competencies of Fisheries and Maritime High School Students (수산·해운계 고등학교 학생의 직업기초능력 요소 개발)

  • The aims of this study are to analysis the elements associated with a occupational basic competencies of fisheries and maritime high school students. Fisheries & maritime key competencies were defined as the abilities that include the essential knowledge, skills, attitude, and experiences required for the workforce on the fisheries and maritime job condition. This research collected preliminary data from 177 fisheries & maritime high school teachers. Data were analyzed to obtain item quality, reliability and validity analysis. The results of the study were as follows; First, largely, fisheris & maritime key competencies were divided into two parts; basic vocational skills and fisheries-maritime job skills. Second, fisheries & maritime key competencies were consisted of communicative competence, numeracy skills, thinking skills, English communication skills, self-management skills, interpersonal competency, selection & application of alternative, marine technology & information skills, marine consciousness and maritime professional ethics. Third, each key competency consisted of 2-9 sub-competencies.
