백선피 70% 에탄올 추출물의 비수용성 분획물의 뇌세포 보호 효과 (Neuroprotective Effect of the Water-insoluble fraction of Root Barks of Dictamnus dasycarpus 70% Ethanolic Extract on Glutamate-Induced Oxidative Damage in Mouse Hippocampal HT22 Cells)

  • Oxidative stress or accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) leads neuronal cellular death and dysfunction, and it contributes to neuronal degenerative disease such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and stroke. Glutamate is one of the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system (CNS). Glutamate contributes to fast synaptic transmission, neuronal plasticity, outgrowth and survival, behavior, learning and memory. In spite of these physiological functions, high concentration of glutamate causes neuronal cell damage, acute insults and chronic neuronal neurodegenerative diseases. Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) enzyme plays an important role of cellular antioxidant system against oxidant injury. NNMBS020, the water-insoluble fraction of the 70% EtOH extract of root barks of Dictamnus dasycarpus, showed dominant neuroprotective effects on glutamate-induced neurotoxicity in mouse hippocampal HT22 cells by induced the expression of HO-1 and increased HO activity. In mouse hippocampal HT22 cells, NNMBS020 makes the nuclear accumulation of Nrf2 and stimulates extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) pathway. The ERK MAPK pathway inhibitor significantly reduced NNMBS020-induced HO-1 expression, whereas the JNK and p38 inhibitors did not. In conclusion, the water-insoluble fraction of the 70% EtOH extract of root barks of D. dasycarpus (NNMBS020) significantly protect glutamate-induced oxidative damage by induction of HO-1 via Nrf2 and ERK pathway in mouse hippocampal HT22 cells.

자본적정성 요구가 은행의 수익성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Capital Adequacy Requirements on the Profitability of Korean Banks)

  • 본 연구는 자본적정성 요구가 우리나라 은행의 수익성에 미치는 영향을 DOLS 모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과, BIS 자본비율이 시중은행과 지방은행에 미치는 영향이 상이하였다. 자본적정성 요구가 시중은행보다는 지방은행에 더 크고 유의한 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 거시경제변수보다는 은행특성변수들이 은행의 수익성에 더 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 BIS 자본비율이 상승하면 시중은행과 지방은행의 수익성이 감소하며, 대손충당금 비율이 높은 은행일수록 이러한 관계가 강화되는 것으로 나타났다. 일반적으로 시중은행의 경우에는 지방은행에 비해 상대적으로 규모도 크고 자본도 상대적으로 충실한 편이이서 자본적정성 요구가 크게 영향을 미치지 않은 것으로 추정된다. 그러나 지방은행의 경우에는 BIS 자본비율 충족을 위해서는 보다 안전한 자산을 선택할 필요가 있으며, 이러한 안전의 자산의 선택 비중이 증가함에 따라 수익성에 상대적으로 더 큰 부정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 보여 진다. 따라서 금융당국은 이러한 점을 고려하여 은행의 자본금 규제 정책을 시행하여야 할 것이다.

포항 유봉산업 폐기물 매립지에서의 중력, 자력, VLF 탐사 (Gravity, Magnetic and VLF explorations in the ubong industrial waste landfill, Pohang)

  • Gravity, magnetic and VLF surveys were conducted to investigat the structural stability and hazards associated with the Ubong landfill in Pohang City, which has been built to dump industrial wastes. In 1994, the collapse of a bank happened in the 6th landfill site due to sudden heavy rain, and a large quantity of waste materials flowed out to the nearby landfill sites, factories and roads. We used $10{\times}10m$ resolution DEM data for gravity reductions. The maximum variation of the terrain effect in the survey area is about 0.5 mgal and the terrain effect is large in the vicinity of bank boundary. The Bouguer gravity anomaly map shows the effect due to the variatino of thickness and type of waste materials. The small negative gravity anomaly increases from the 9th site to the 6th site. The small negative gravity anomaly of the 9th site reflects the relatively shallow dumping depth of average 14.5 m in this site and increased density of waste materials by the repeated stabilization process of soil overlaying. The 6th site is located at the center of the former valley and rainfall and groundwater are expected to flow from south-east to north-west. Therefore, considering the previous accident of mixing waste and bank materials at the north-west boundary of the landfill, there may be some environmental problems of leakage of contaminated water and bank stability. The complex inversion technique using Simulated annealing and Marquardt-Levenberg methods was applied to calculate three-dimensional density distribution from gravity data. In the case of 6th site, it is apparent that the landfill had been dumped in four sectors. However, most part of the 9th site and showed that high magnetic industrial wastes were concentrated in the 6th site. The result of magnetic survey showing low magnetic anomalies along the boundaries of two sites is similar to that of gravity data. The VLF data also reveals four divided sectors in the 6th site, and overall anomaly trend indicates the directio of former valley.

  • 은행의 경영컨설팅은 은행과 기업의 상호발전에 도움을 주는 상생관계를 갖을 것으로 기대한다. 기존 연구들도 컨설팅을 받은 후 기업의 경쟁력 제고와 경영성과에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 연구되고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 현재 컨설팅 수진 여부에 따라 기업의 경쟁력이 강화되고 그에 따라 경영성과가 제고되는지에 대한 연관관계를 분석해 그 결과를 설명해주는 실증연구는 거의 없는 것으로 조사되었다. 본 논문은 은행의 경영컨설팅이 수진기업의 경영성과 및 은행기여도에 미치는 영향력을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 수진기업 측면에서는 경영컨설팅을 받기 전과 후의 기업의 재무성과인 안정성, 수익성, 성장성을 비교분석 하였고, 은행 측면에서는 수진기업의 은행에 대한 기여도를 측정하기 위하여 예금과 대출의 최근3개월 평잔의 변화를 측정하여 검증하였다. 연구결과 컨설팅을 받은 이후 수진기업의 재무 안정성의 항목인 부채비율과 성장성 항목인 매출액 증가율에서 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Korean ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) has been used as an important medicinal plant in the Orient for a long time. It has been claimed that ginseng has many beneficial bioactive effects on human health, such as antitumor, antistress, antiaging and enhancing immune functions. Red ginseng possibly have new ingredients converted during steaming and dry process from fresh ginseng. In this study, pharmacological efficacy and ingredient conversion of ginseng by 9 repetitive steaming and drying process were investigated measuring conversion efficiency of acidic-polysaccharide, phenolic compounds and inhibition of peroxide lipides. It was found that acidic-polysaccarides were increased by heat treatment. In addition, maltol of phenolic compounds, strong antioxidant, produced during the process of red ginseng by Maillard reaction. Acidic-polysaccarides and maltol were increased after the 1st and 3rd steaming and drying treatments, but they were decreased gradually after 5th, 7th, and 9th treatments. Antioxidant activity was increased as increasing treatment times of steaming and drying without significance. Effect of red ginseng extract on inhibition of peroxide was increased gradually until after the 7th treatment, but remarkably decreased after the 9th treatment.

친환경 섬유대공 하천호안공법의 현장계측 연구 (Experimental Study on Bank Protection System using Fabric Foam)

  • 침식방지형 섬유대공은 호안 또는 하천의 하천침식과 포락 방지를 위한 토목공사용 섬유자재로 내부에 유동성 콘크리트 또는 모르타르 등을 고압의 콘크리트 펌프로 주입하여 콘크리트 블록을 형성되도록 하는 제방 보호용 토목섬유공법이다. 그러나 기존에 개발된 침식방지형 섬유대공은 다량의 콘크리트 그라우팅제 사용에 따른 경제성 및 친환경성 측면에서 문제점을 가지고 있으며, 섬유대공의 안정성이 섬유대/비탈면 원지반의 마찰특성에 의존하도록 되어 있어 급경사 비탈면 적용에 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 다량의 콘크리트를 사용하는 기존 섬유대호안공의 경제성 및 친환경성을 개선하고자 역학적인 방틀형태를 시공이 간편한 섬유대를 이용하여 구축하고, 구조적 안정성 및 비탈면 전면부의 식생 및 사석 호안시스템 지지 등을 앵커로 처리하는 경제적이면서도, 안정적인 섬유대공을 개발하여 실내모형시험에 의한 침식저항성평가 및 현장 적용성 평가 등을 수행하였다.

점착성 제방사면의 구간별 소류력 산정식 제안 및 적용 (A Suggestion of Formulae to Calculate Sectional Tractive Force on the Slope of Cohesive River Bank and its Application)

  • 호안은 제방을 보호하기 위하여 제방법면에 설치되는 구조물로써, 국내 외 설계기준에 의하여 호안을 설계할 때, 하상과 호안법면에서의 최대 소류력을 산정하여 제방 사면에 평균적인 개념으로 적용하고 있다. 제방 사면의 허용소류력을 산정하는 경우에는 비점착성 토사를 기준으로 사면의 흘러내림을 고려하지만, 본 연구에서는 0 < ${\Phi}$ < $90^{\circ}$ 의 경사를 갖는 점착성 제방 단면의 구간별 소류력 공식을 제안하였으며, 호안의 식생밀도와 공법 재료 변화에 따른 허용소류력을 산정하였다. 구간별 소류력을 산정하기 위하여 길이 20m, 폭 2m의 개수로를 설치하였고, 유량 조건을 변화하면서 수리모형실험을 수행하였다. 제방 사면의 구간별 허용소류력을 산정한 결과 호안 재료 변화에 따라서는 조도가 큰 공법의 허용소류력이 가장 크게 산정되었으며, 식생밀도에 의한 영향으로는 식생이 있는 경우 저항에 의하여 허용소류력이 증가되었지만, 밀도변화에 의하여는 큰 차이가 나타나지 않았다.

The Effects of Service Worker's Customer Orientation on Organizational Citizenship Behavior

  • Every organization needs to maintain its long-term effectiveness through the positive perceptions, attitudes, and behaviors of its members. Customer orientation, job satisfaction, and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) are the important functioning aspects for the long-term organizational effectiveness. The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of service-worker's customer orientation on OCB within Korean bank and insurance sector by analyzing the relationship of constructs in the conceptual model. To achieve research objectives, survey method is employed. Findings of this research reveal that both need and enjoyment dimension of CO are very important in predicting OCB. We sent 220 questionnaires to service workers of the bank and insurance then received 200 valid responses. The research was conducted in bank and insurance agency in J city. The choice of these two types of organizations was dictated by the fact that they have large number of service worker with diverse background at multiple levels in these industries. Results also indicated that the moderating effect of pay satisfaction on the relationship between their OCB and CO had a weak effect.

Effect of Agricultural Exports and Imports on Economic Growth in Bangladesh: A Study on Agribusiness Supply Chain

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of agricultural exports and imports on economic growth in Bangladesh and propose an upgraded and customized model of the supply chain for agribusiness growth in Bangladesh to achieve plain sailing and systematic operation and financial gains at home and abroad. Research design, data, and methodology: All data in the research have been collected from secondary sources. Gross domestic product was used as the dependent variable and exports and imports of agricultural products were used as independent variables. Pairwise Granger causality was utilized to see the impact of the variable responsible for the economic growth in Bangladesh and the causal relationship between the variables analyzed was measured using Johansen co-integration test. Results: From the empirical analysis, the researchers observed that agricultural commodity imports and exports have a unidirectional impact on economic growth in Bangladesh and a long-run causal link with economic growth in Bangladesh. The suggested supply chain model of agribusiness aids in achieving smooth operations, systematic management, and monetary gains both domestically and internationally. Conclusions: This paper contributes to the development of a more effective and profitable agribusiness supply chain in Bangladesh systematically through their theoretical and practical implications.

北漢江 上流 桂芳川 砂礫地 河岸植生의 遷移系列 (Vegatation seres on the pebble area at ye-bang stream bank of north han river in korea)

  • The primary succession of the pebble area in gye-bang chon, an upper stream bank of north han river, was investigated by belt transect method from July to October 1990. The stsges of bare area, herbaceous pioneer, perenial herb, woody plants and pine stand were recognized from stream bank to inland. The change of the coverage in herbaceous plants increased with developing sueccessional sere but decreaser with increment of woody plants. The species sequence cyrves vs. relative coverage were geometric in pioneer stage and graduaiiy changed to lognormal y\type as the development of forest. The species diversity was highest during then woody plants stage, probably it would to be the edge effect. The soil properties were not noticeable difference between stream side and inland side. It seems that the vegetational developement was not enough to affect soil accumulation.
