  • Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is being used in various fields as a technology for identifying objects (people, things etc.) using radio frequencies. In the past, there was an attempt to apply RFID into national defense, but failed to spread RFID in the defense field because of some limitations of RFID in a specific situation (e.g., low recognition rate). Therefore, in this paper, we propose how to overcome the limitation of RFID by adopting the Internet of Things (IoT) technology which is considered as an important technology of the future. Furthermore, we propose four scenarios (i.e., healcare band and RFID, identification and anormal state detection, access control, and confidential document management) that can be used for enhancing national defense security. In addition, we analyze the basic characteristics and security requirements of RFID and IoT in order to effectively apply each technology and improve security level.

  • In this paper was The dielectric constant of 4.4 and thickness of 0.6mm FR-4 substrate were implanted including the L-Slot in microstrip patch antenna to design a microstrip patch antenna for LTE. The proposed antenna is $180{\times}180$ compact and $46{\times}36$ lightweight compared to existing antenna and This antenna can be used as transmission ommidirectional radiation pattern of propagation was compared to the input return loss than -10dB (VSWR 2:1) to allow communication from the resonant frequency band.

  • Floating floor is most commonly used at apartment houses in Korea for thermal insulation and reducing impact noise. But it in proven that the floating floor is not effective for reducing the floor impact noise in low frequency range. In most cases, impact sound pressure level under 63 Hz frequency band were actually increased by the resonance of resilient material, lightweight concrete and the finishing mortar installed on it. In this paper, an integrated floor system consist of 70 mm light weight concrete and 40 mm finishing mortar successively installed on the concrete slab was suggested to avoid the resonance. Integrated floor system increases total flexural stiffness and mass per unit area. The natural frequencies of first and second vibration mode were increased and acceleration response and floor impact sound level was decreased in all measurement range.

  • The sea noise of moving trawl net was recorded by an underwater tape recorder which was set wireless, and was analyzed by a sound level meter and an octave-band analyzer. The frequency distribution of sea noise of the moving otter trawl net ranged from DC to 5000 Hz, and the dominant frequency zone ranged from 500 Hz to 700 Hz, and the maximum sound pressure is about 22 dB at the otter trawl net. The main sound source of the sea noise from the moving trawl net was found to be sea noise due to the resistance of the ground rope against the sea bottom.

  • Demand of Auto Focus for Camera module is increased very fast in these days and will be adapted to most of mobile phones in next few years instead of traditional method, fixed focus. To make auto focus function, 2 kinds of solutions, VCM(Voice Coil Motor) and Piezo linear motor are normally used. In this paper, VCM which commercially strong candidate for Auto focus mechanism was investigated to verify principles are match up to the actual operation. Auto focus algorithm is different between 1 chip and 2 chip solution. Normally 2 chip is more complicate than the other. To have best performance on this function, hysteresis and depth of field(DOF) table should be optimized.

  • Two-dimensional array hydrophones with $8{\times}8$ elements were designed and fabricated using the PVDF(Polyvinylidene fluoride) piezoelectric film, and the method and system for ultrasonic field measurement in several MHz $\sim$ tens of MHz band using the hydrophones was established. The characteristics of frequency response relating to the backing materials were analyzed with the Mason equivalent circuit for design, and the accuracy of ultrasonic field measurement relating to the sizes and kerfs of piezoelectric elements was discussed. Good results of the measurement of ultrasonic field formed by a circular plane transducer of 2.25MHz in water were obtained by the system with the array hydrophones.

  • This thesis deals with a method to deliver more realistic sound by cancelling the cross-talk which is inherent to the 5.1 channel speaker system. First, the cross-talk cancellation method that eliminates cross-talks on the path from left speaker to right ear and from right speaker to left ear is explained. Then the application and replaying method using the cross-talk cancellation explained here is introduced. The acoustical model for cross-talk cancellation is the free field model This model minimizes distortion of sound. Many experts also make studies on this model. I used the bark scale sound quality compensation based on psycho-acoustic. For the surround channels, band-limited sound quality compensation is performed in the frequency domain.

  • The researches on the development of composite material underwater vehicle propeller have been actively attempted for the reduction of radiation noise with outstanding damping effects. Composite material propellers have almost been designed and produced by the foreign experts, and it is difficult to obtain the related informations about their flow, vibration, material characteristics because they are treated as the secrets with close relationship to the military technology, especially in the case of underwater vehicles. For the security of domestic manufacture of composite material propeller and the comparison and examination of its performance and radiation noise characteristics with those of German CONTUR composite material propeller, two propellers were self-produced according to the fiber weaving and array using compressible molding process and their self performances and radiation noise characteristics were measured. The mean fluctuations of blade tip of self-produced composite material propeller were increased and the radiation noises in the low frequency band were reduced compared to those of CONTUR, which could be estimated as the change of material characteristics and also be thought to be used for the future research informations.

  • In this paper an MMIC 2-stage power amplifier is designed and fabricated for 5GHz wireless LAN applications using $0.5{\mu}m$ gate length PHEMT transistors. The PHEMT gate width is optimized in order to meet the linearity and efficiency of the MMIC power amplifier. The $0.5{\mu}m\times600{\mu}m$ PHEMT for the drive stage and $0.5{\mu}m\times3000{\mu}m$ PHEMT for the amplification stage are the optimized sizes to achieve more than 25dBc of third order IMD at the power level of 3dB back-off from the input P1dB and more than 22dBm output power under a supply voltage of 3.3V. The two-stage MMIC power amplifier is designed to be used for the both of HIPERLAN/2 and IEEE 802.11a because of its broadband characteristics. The fabricated PHEMT MMIC power amplifier exhibits a 20.1dB linear power gain, a maximum 22dBm output power, a 24% power added efficiency under 3.3V supply voltage. The input and output on-chip matching circuits are included on a chip of $1400\times1200{\mu}m^2$.

  • A variable-gain low-voltage low noise amplifier MMIC operating at 5GHz frequency band is designed and implemented using the ETRI 0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$ GaAs MESFET library process. This low noise amplifier is designed to have the variable gain for adaptive antenna array combined in HIPERLAN/2. The feedback circuit of a resistor and channel resistance controlled by the gate voltage of enhancement MESFET is proposed for the variable-gain low noise amplifier consisted of cascaded two stages. The fabricated variable gain amplifier exhibits 5.5GHz center frequency, 14.7dB small signal gain, 10.6dB input return loss, 10.7dB output return loss, 14.4dB variable gain, and 2.98dB noise figure at V$\_$DD/=1.5V, V$\_$GGl/=0.4V, and V$\_$GG2/=0.5V. This low noise amplifier also shows-19.7dBm input PldB, -10dBm IIP3, 52.6dB SFDR, and 9.5mW power consumption.
