  • 얼랑(Erlang) B 이론에 의해 산출된 목표호손율이 보장된 값이라고 믿고 있으나 신뢰도에 따른 분석결과 보장정도가 50% 수준 밖에 미치지 못하는 결과를 알 수 있다. 신뢰도라는 것은 목표 호손율(Block Rate)을 통해 회선을 산출하였을 때 실측호손율을 어느 비율까지 수용을 할 수 있는지에 대한 기준이다 . 신뢰도를 적용한 결과 얼랑 B 이론은 평균에 의해 값을 산출하는 것이 때문에 실측호손율이 얼랑 B 이론에 의해 산출된 호손율 이상일때는 GoS를 100% 보장할 수가 없다. 그러므로 회선산출하는데 있어서 신뢰도를 추가하여 보정된 얼랑B Table을 산출하는 방법을 제시한다.

Propagation Model Combination of Building Entry Loss and Clutter Loss in Suburban Environment with Low-Rise High-Density Buildings at 3 and 24 GHz (저층 고밀도 건물 교외 환경에서 3 GHz 및 24GHz의 건물 인입 손실과 클러터 손실의 전파 모델 결합)

  • We measured the clutter loss (CL) and building entry loss (BEL) of signals in a low-rise high-density suburban environment. Three propagation models for BEL, CL, and a combination of BEL and CL were measured in the selected environment. We then derived the figures when the BEL was combined with the CL. At the two frequencies, the measured value of combination of BEL and CL is 27.55 dB and 26.12dB, respectively, and the differences between the measured value and the sum were -4.19 dB and 5.82 dB. Considering that the measurement was performed inside a building, such a difference seems to be small. Therefore, when BEL and CL were measured separately and summed, and then combined and summed, differences of -4.19 dB and 5.82 dB were apparent. This this result can be referenced when similar case of a propagation model was analyzed.

A Simple Guidance Method for the KM , KG , KB , and GM of Small Fishing Vessels (소형 어선의 복원성 요소 KM , KG, KB, GM의 간이유도법)

  • This paper describes to analyze regression relation between the ratio mean draft to freeboard and KM/dm, KB/dm and GM/B, respectively with the 43 Korean fishing vessels (7 Danish seiners; 1l Stowers; 14 Poler and liners; 6 Trawlers; 5 Purse seiners) and the 1 Cargo boat in order to obtain the stability factors of the Korean fishing vessels conveniently. The obtained results are as follows; 1. The stability factors by fishing vessels have a tendency to the larger f/dm, the larger KM/dm and KG/dm, and KB/dm and GM/B are constant. 2. It is found out that M and G differ from the kinds of the fishing vessels because KM/dm is the largest in poler and liners and KG/dm in Danish seiner, respectively. 3. It is confirmed that the stability factors of the fishing vessels which the inclining experiment carry out the wholly in the light and the full loaded condition are the same as the inclining experiment uniformly.

  • This paper presents an image retrieval algorithm based on feature vector using color of histogram refinement for a faster and more efficient search in the process of content based image retrieval. First, we segment each of R, G, and B images from RGB color image and extract their respective histograms. Secondly, these histograms of individual R, G and B are divided into sixteen of bins each. Finally, we extract the maximum pixel values in each bins' histogram, which are calculated, compared and analyzed, Now, we can perform image retrieval technique using these maximum pixel value. Hence, the proposed algorithm of this paper effectively extracts features by comparing input and database images, making features from R, G and B into a feature vector table, and prove a batter searching performance than the current algorithm that uses histogram matching and ranks, only.

It inhibited the enzyme activity of cathepsin B competitively when the N a-CBZ-Llysine p-nitrophenyl ester HC] (CLN) was used as a substrate. The inhibition const:mt (Ki) of KHS 1 0 for cathepsin B detennined by spectrophotometeric assay was 430 nM. The effective inhibition of cathepsin B was observed at $25^{\circ}C$ :md pH 6.0. The cathepsin B inhibitor, KHSlO needed a preincubation of cathepsin B with the inhibitor for over 5 min. The KHS 10 preserved over 80% inhibition activity even after heat-treatment at $100^{\circ}C$ for ] hr.

JPEG Image Quantization Method with Variable Thresholds (가변 임계값을 갖는 JPEG 영상의 양자화 방법)

  • In this Paper VTQM(Variable Threshold quantization Method) is proposed, which enhances PSNR by composing the advantages of round-off and truncation quantization methods. From vast experiments, PSNR's of JPEG images with the method are compared with that of standard JPEG methods. At the boundary which affects the compression ratio, VTQM quantizes with a new threshold to reduce the length of compressed data; otherwise, VTQM employs the round-off quantization method to preserve the original image information. As a result, VTQM reduces bit rate while preserving the image quality. The experimental results show that VTQM enhances PSNR by 0.2∼0.3dB, 0.4∼0.5dB with the same bit rate than those of the traditional truncation and round-off quantization methods, respectively.

Chlorophyll a/b Ratio as a Criterion for the Reliability of Absorbance Values Measured for the Determination of Chlorophyll Concentration (엽록소 농도 결정을 위하여 측정한 흡광도 값의 신뢰도 검정 지표로서 엽록소 a/b 비례치)

  • The Beer-Lambert law states that absorbance is proportional to the concentration of a solute in a solution at a given wavelength. This linearity works for an ideal or a 'sufficiently diluted' solution, so this linearity is often used as a criterion for the fidelity of the absorbance value measured. In this study, we used a chlorophyll (Chl) solution, isolated from rice leaves with 80% acetone to test the use of the Chl a/b ratio as an additional criterion for checking the fidelity of measured values using four different absorption spectrophotometers: Cary4E, UV-1650PC, Versamax (a microplate reader), and NanoDrop 1,000(which can handle a $4{\mu}l$ aliquot). We used Chl solutions of varying concentrations from $0.2{\mu}g/ml$ to $200{\mu}g/ml$ to measure absorbance values at 645 nm and 663 nm and checked the linearity first. The results indicated that the range of Chl concentrations that we can rely on based on the linearity was similar to the range in which the calculated Chl concentrations based on the measured absorbance values agreed with the known concentrations. However, some border cases or cases with very low Chl concentrations inside the fidelity range of Chl concentrations did not agree with the criterion that the Chl a/b ratio should not change after dilution of the Chl in the solution. These results suggest that the Chl a/b ratio is a better criterion for the reliability of the absorbance values measured for the determination of chlorophyll concentration than the criterion based on the linearity suggested by the Beer-Lambert law.

The Magnetic Properties of Amorphous F$e_32Ni_36Cr_14P_12B_6$ (비정질 F$e_32Ni_36Cr_14P_12B_6$의 자기적 성질)

  • The magnetic properties of the amorphous Fe/sub 32/Ni/sub 36/Cr/sub 14/P/sub 12/B/sub 6/ has been studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy in the temperature range of 88-400K. The analysis of the spectrum of B8K, the magnetic hyperfine field and quadrupole splitting are found to be 140.5kOe and almost zero, which means that the magnetic hyperfine field is randomly oriented with respect to the principal axes of the electric field gradient, respectively. The values of quadrupole splitting in paramagnetic phase with Tc=280K are independent on the changes of temperature. Debye temperature is found to be about 288k from the analysis of recoilless fraction.

A Study on Synthesis and Characterization of TiZrB$_2$ Composite by SHS Microwave (SHS 마이크로파에 의한 TiZrB$_2$ 복합재료의 합성 및 특성연구)

  • TiZrB2 solid solution was synthesized using fine powders of Ti, Zr and B by SHS microwave process. The characterization of the synthesized powder and sintered bodies ws investigated. The combustion temperature and rate were increased with increasing the mole ratio of Zr in temperature profile, and showed the maximum combustion temperature and velocity values of 285$0^{\circ}C$ and 14.6mm/sec in Ti0.2Zr0.8B2 composition. Phase separation has been occured into a composite with TiB2 and ZrB2 phases from TiZrB2 solid solution, which was hot pressed sintering at 30 MPa for an hour at 190$0^{\circ}C$. At the composition of Ti0.8Zr0.2B2 the best properties has been obtained in relative density, bending strength, fracture toughness and hardness, with 99%, 680 MPa, 7.3MPa.m1/2 and 2750 Kg/$\textrm{mm}^2$ respectively.

Analysis on the Interference Effects between HAPS and NGSO Systems in the Feeder Link (HAPS와 NGSO 시스템간의 Feeder Link상의 간섭분석)

  • In this paper, interference effects between NGSO and HAPS in the feeder link have been simulated and analyzed by means of calculating excess time percent and duration below the ell protection ratio. As the results, in the case of HAPS interference into NGSO, it can be obtained that the lowest C/I values are 20.42dB in 50km and 12.73dB in 20km of HAPS altitudes, respectively. And in the case of NGSO interference into HAPS, it can be obtained that the lowest ell values are 13.94dB and 10.42dB respectively. HAPS system has more interference reception from other systems or effects more interference into other systems as its altitude is lower. Also, the lowest ell values are appeared at difference time with its altitude.
