차종별 축하중 분포 정량화를 위한 누적 축하중 스펙트럼 추정연구 (Estimation of Cumulative Axle-Load Spectrum for Axle-Load Distribution Standard by Vehicle Type)

  • 본 연구는 현재 수행중인 "한국형 포장 설계법 개발과 포장성능 개선방안 연구"의 일환으로 역학-경험적 포장 설계법에 사용될 교통하중 입력변수를 정량화하기 위해서 실시하였다. 교통하중 정량화를 위하여 기존의 ESAL 개념이 아닌 축하중 스펙트럼을 이용하였다. 이를 위하여 교통량 통계 연보내 교통량 자료를 가지고 일반 국도에 대한 대표 축하중 조사지점을 차로별, 지역특성별 구분에 따라 33개 지점을 통계적 방법을 이용하여 선정하였다. 그리고 선정된 대표 지점을 대상으로 축하중 계측기를 이용하여 각 차종에 대한 축하중을 조사하였다. 측정된 축하중 자료는 각각 분류된 조건에 따라서 축하중 스펙트럼으로 표준화하였으며, 그 방법으로 누적밀도함수인 S-커브 곡선을 이용하여 각 조건별 계수를 제시하였다.

  • In this study, the improvement work to reduce the steering wheel vibration of a forklift truck is performed. The forklift truck newly developed possesses a trans-axle type power train to achieve a compact and low-price design. The forklift truck is directly subjected to a high-level engine vibration through hard mounted trans-axle housing. The engine vibration shakes the whole system of the forklift truck, and then a high level local vibration of steering wheel could not be avoided. As the results, the vibration source and path mechanisms are experimentally identified and then an improvement design is proposed to minimize the steering wheel vibration.

  • This paper represents the structural design of the light weight axle beam for medium duty commercial vehicle using hot press. To reduce the weight of the axle, axle beam of solid type was replaced by hollow type which was made by hot press. According to the change of axle beam structure and manufacturing method, we have to investigate the structural strength and fatigue performance. To verify the axle beam performance, the structural analysis was carried out by simplified axle beam model and various design parameters that are axle beam height, thickness and width. From the analysis results, the light weight axle beam structure was founded and applied the full model analysis. This study will be used as a guidance in development of the light weight axle for medium duty commercial vehicle.

  • A horizontal axle-type superconductor flywheel energy storage system has many great features such as extensibility and stability compared to the traditional vertical axle-type flywheel systems. In this paper, a prototype flywheel device with a horizontal axle is presented briefly, and the hybrid construction as an essential supplement in superconductor journal bearing design against the levitation drift is proposed.

윤축을 적용한 좌·우 주관절 신전 동작의 운동역학적 비교 연구 (Comparative Study of Biomechanical Left and Right Elbow Joint Extension Movements After Wheel Axle Application)

  • In this study, we have experimented with 9 players at the national delegate level. Although there were some differences in the average effects of 3 types of one-two straight movements after the application of wheel axle, there were no statistical differences in the case of surface reacting forces, electromyograms, and impact forces. When the right fist was impacted using the one-two straight movements and the wheel axle was applied with 3 segmentations, high impact forces were obtained for the pronation in the following order-72.01 $m/s^2$ (type 2), 70.93 $m/s^2$ (type 3), and 58.19 $m/s^2$ (type 1). Higher values of the surface reacting force were found for type 1 that did not exhibit pronation in the left foot, whereas in the case of the vertical direction of the right foot, type 2 with pronation exhibited higher values and impact forces. In the right electromyogram, high impact forces due to the activation of the muscular electric potential were obtained for lumbar erector (LE) spinae and triceps brachii (TB) with type 1; LE spina, latissimus dosi (LD), and upper trapezius (UT) with type 2; and brachioradialis (BR), UT, and rectus abdominal (RA) with type 3. Due to pronation and complex motions of the 3 pronation segmentations, the efficiency was higher for impacts due to one-two straight movements.

철도차량용 중공차축 설계에 관한 연구 (Study on Design of Railway Hollow Axle)

  • The hollow design of a railway axle is one of the most effective methods to reduce the weight of an axle. However, the conventional hollow axle has the limitation of a lightweight design because it has the same bore diameter along the axial position. The new type of railway axle, the tapered inner surface railway axle, has a different inner diameter between the journal bearing seat and wheel seat. This design method is one way to increase the weight reduction possibility. The purpose of the present study is to establish and evaluate the design of the tapered inner surface railway axle. The case study and Finite Element Method(FEM) are applied to evaluate the strength of the lightweight railway axle according to the European Norm(EN 13103). Finally, the best design case for reducing the weight of the axle is drawn from the results of the case study.

  • The working tactor of this study, an agriculture machine, is consisted of 4 wheel driving system with gear trains and 4-type wheel steering system. Since technological regions for 4 wheel driving system and 4-type wheel steering system are some large, we divide on two studies on 4 wheel driving system and 4-type wheel steering system This study develops transmission and axle that are very important units for strong working operation because the power of tractor is largely affected by transmission and axle. Even if the development of the power train is some common technology, it is very complicated work and needs many experience know-hows. So, for new given specifications fitted to the working tractor, a kind of new agriculture machine, this study haws out processes that are development of assembly drawing and strength analysis through classical method and CAE software for all internal parts and housing cases.

운행 자동차에 대한 정적 및 동적 제동력 검사 시스템의 제동력 특성 비교 (Comparison in Braking Force Characteristics for the Static and Dynamic Braking Force Inspection System about Vehicles in Service)

  • Braking force inspection of vehicles in service is certainly one of the most important characteristics that affect vehicle safety. Up to now, in domestic country, the regular safety inspection of vehicles in service has been tested with a roller type brake test (a static braking force inspection system). But, in EU and USA etc. in recent years, it has been tested with a plate type brake test (a dynamic braking force inspection system). In this study, to compare the characteristics of above two test systems, the correlations for the results of braking force are evaluated statistically. As the results, in the case of main braking force, the range of the $R^2$ of the deviation for the left and right side is 0.5386 ~ 0.6231 in the rear axle and 0.0032 ~ 0.0052 in the front axle respectively, then the $R^2$ in the front axle is lower than that in the rear axle and the total variation is unexplained by the least-squares regression line statistically. Also, the p-value for the deviation of the left and right in the front axle is 0.4839 ~ 0.5755, then it has nonsignificant in the front axle. Therefore, the static braking force inspection system can not reflect the inertia force that there is a load transfer from the rear axle to the front axle during braking. Accordingly, it is necessary to adopt the dynamic braking force inspection system which can reflect the inertia force on the regular vehicle safety inspection in domestic country.

  • In general, a brake system of axle for heavy duty machine as a wheel excavator makes use of wet-type multiple disk brakes. These disk bakes are very important parts of heavy duty machine because they are advanced in durability and braking power, and can be designed compactly. Thus, we designed and made wet-type multiple disk brakes of axle for the 14ton class wheel excavator to be localization of these imported all. These disk brakes were made a comparative test with the existing disk brakes by the SAE No.2 dynamometer, and the friction characteristics as dynamic and static friction coefficient and wear depth of friction paper were measured.

회전굽힘 피로 하에서의 철도 차축재료 프레팅 피로거동 평가 (The Evaluation of Fretting Fatigue Behavior on Rotary Bending Fatigue for Railway Axle Material)

  • Fretting damage can be observed in automobile and railway vehicle, fossil and nuclear power plant, aircraft etc. In the present study, railway axle material RSA1 used for evaluation of fretting fatigue life. Plain and fretting fatigue tests were carried out using rotary bending fatigue tester with proving ring and bridge type contact pad. Through these test, the following results are obtained: 1) it is found that the fretting fatigue limit of standard specimen decreased about 37% compared to the plain fatigue limit. 2) The early crack of Shinkansen type specimens initiated in contact area and final fractured below samp=214 MPa. 3) The early crack of all TGV type specimens initiated in rounded area and fractured. 4) Tire tracks and rubbed scars were observed in the oblique crack region and fatigue crack growth region of fracture surface. 5) The wear debris is observed on the contact surface, and oblique cracks at an earlier stage are initiated in contact area. These results can be used as useful data in a structural integrity evaluation of railway axle.
