In this paper, we have proposed a novel zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) soft-switching H-bridge inverter. Because the conventional H-Bridge inverter generates switching losses at turn on and off, the efficiency is reduced. The proposed inverter operates ZVS switching using an auxiliary switch and resonant circuit to improve the efficiency. in the DC-DC converter stage, it can reduce not only switching loss but also capacity and size of passive devices due to the resonant elements. DC-AC inverter stage supplies load with energy through the ZVS operation of 4 switches. A detail mode analysis of operating is in presented. We have presented the inverter topology, principle of operation and simulation results obtained from the PSIM simulator.

This paper presents the two lossless auxiliary inductors-assisted voltage source type half bridge (single ended push pull: SEPP) series resonant high frequency inverter for induction heated fixing roller in copy and printing machines. The simple high-frequency inverter treated here can completely achieve stable zero current soft switching (ZCS) commutation for wide its output power regulation ranges and load variations under its constant high frequency pulse density modulation (PDM) scheme. Its transient and steady state operating principle is originally described and discussed for a constant high-frequency PDM control strategy under a stable ZCS operation commutation, together with its output effective power regulation characteristics-based on the high frequency PDM strategy. The experimental operating performances of this voltage source SEPP ZCS-PDM series resonant high frequency inverter using IGBTs are illustrated as compared with computer simulation results and experimental ones. Its power losses analysis and actual efficiency are evaluated and discussed on the basis of simulation and experimental results. The feasible effectiveness of this high frequency inverter appliance implemented here is proved from the practical point of view.

A Single-Stage Single-Switch power-factor- correction(PFC) AC/DC Converter with universal input is presented in this paper. The PFC Converter can be achieved based upon the continuous current mode(CCM). The switch has less current and voltage stresses over a wide range of load variation so that a low voltage rating device can be used. The presented converter features high power factor high efficiency, and low cost. An 90W prototype was implemented to show that it has 70% efficiency with low voltage stress over universal line input.
This paper deals with the optimization of the driving techniques for the ZVT synchronous buck converter proposed in [1]. Two new gate drive circuits are proposed to allow this converter to operate by only one control signal as a 12V voltage regulator module (VRM). Voltage-driven method is applied for the synchronous rectifier. In addition, the control signal drives the main and auxiliary switches by one driving circuit. Both of the circuits are supplied by the input voltage. As a result, no supply voltage is required. This approach decreases both the complexity and cost in converter hardware implementation and is suitable for practical applications. In addition, the proposed SR driving scheme can also be used for many high frequency resonant converters and some high frequency discontinuous current mode PWM circuits. The ZVT synchronous buck converter with new gate drive circuits is analyzed and the presented experimental results confirm the theoretical analysis.
This paper presents a novel circuit topology of a high efficiency single-phase power conditioner. This power conditioner is composed of time-sharing sinewave absolute pulse width modulated boost chopper with a bypass diode in the first power processing stage and time-sharing sinewave pulse width modulated full-bridge inverter in the second power processing stage operated by time-sharing dual mode pulse pattern control scheme. The unique operating principle of the two power processing stage with time-sharing dual mode sinewave modulation scheme is described with a design example. This paper proposes also a sinewave tracking voltage controlled soft switching PWM boost chopper with a passive auxiliary edge-resonant snubber. The new conceptual operating principle of this novel power conditioner related to new energy utilization system is presented and discussed through the experimental results.
In this paper, a new control scheme of Class-E inverter for reducing the crest factor of electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps using Pulse-Frequency-Modulation (PFM) is introduced The lifetime of the lamps is guaranteed by decreasing the lamp crest factor and voltage stress of the switch is significantly decreased by a new scheme although conventional Class-E inverter is used in this paper The proposed PFM control scheme doesn't used any auxiliary circuit. The proposed control strategy is executed by feeding back the input current. and the Zero-Voltage-Switching (ZVS) is ensured by operating beyond resonant frequency. Therefore, the control principles of proposed method are explained in detail and its validity is verified through several simulated results.
In a switching power supply, the high frequency switching makes the passive components small, but the losses and the stresses of switches are increased by the switching frequency. Therefore, zero crossing technology using resonant is used to improve defect in high switching. In generally, zero crossing switching consists of Zero Current Switching(ZCS) and Zero Voltage Switching(ZVS). This paper proposes A Buck ZC-ZVS Converter with Reduced Conduction Losses. Comparing with a conventional Buck ZC-ZVS Converter, the proposed converter operates with the smaller rated power. This is achieved by changing the auxiliary switch position, which reduces its rating power. Simulation results using Pspice program about test circuit with rated 160W(30V, 5.3A) at 30kHz and experiment result under same condition were described in the paper.
This paper presents the interleaved active-clamping ZVS(Zero Voltage Switching) forward converter, which is mainly composed of two active-clamping forward converters. Only two switches are required, and each one is the auxiliary switch for the other. The circuit complexity and cost are thus reduced. The leakage inductance of the transformer or an additional resonant inductance is employed to achieve ZVS during the dead times. The duty cycles are not limited to be equal and within 50%. The complementary switching and the resulted interleaved output inductor currents diminish the current ripple in output capacitors. Accordingly, the smaller output chokes and capacitors lower the converter volume and increase the power density. Detailed analysis and design of this new interleaved active-clamping forward converter are described.
