배관망에서의 파이프 직경 최적설계에 대한 실용적 해법 (A Practical Approach for Optimal Design of Pipe Diameters in Pipe Network)

  • An optimizer has been applied for the optimal design of pipe diameters in the pipe flow network problems. Pipe network flow analysis, which is developed separately, is performed within the interface for the optimization algorithm. A pipe network is chosen for the test, and optimizer GenOpt is applied with Holder-Mead-O'Niell's simplex algorithm after solving the network flow problem by the Newton-Raphson method. As a result, optimally do-signed pipe diameters are successfully obtained which minimize the total design cost. Design cost of pipe flow network can be considered as the sum of pipe installation cost and pump operation cost. In this study, a practical and efficient solution method for the pipe network optimization is presented. Test system is solved for the demonstration of the present optimization technique.

  • A momentum backpropagation neural network is prepared to carry out real-time dynamics simulations of a passenger car. A full-car model of fifteen degrees of freedom was constructed for vehicle dynamics analysis. Human body dynamics analysis was performed for a male driver(50 percentile Korean adult) restrained by a three point seatbelt system. The trained data using the neural network were obtained using a dynamic solver, ADAMS . The neural network were formed based on the dynamics of the simulator. The optimized hidden layer was obtained by selecting the optimal number of hidden layers. The driving scenario including bump passing and lane changing has been used for the estimation of the proposed neural network. A comparison between the trained data and neural network outputs is found to be satisfactory to show the applicability of the suggested approach.

Design of a Transceiver Transmitting Power, Clock, and Data over a Single Optical Fiber for Future Automotive Network System

  • This paper proposes a new link structure that transmits power, clock, and data through a single optical fiber for a future automotive network. A pulse-position modulation (PPM) technique is adopted to guarantee a DC-balanced signal for robust power transmission regardless of transmitted data pattern. Further, circuit implementations and theoretical analyses for the proposed PPM transceiver are described in this paper. A prototype transceiver fabricated in 65-nm CMOS technology, is used to verify the PPM signaling part of the proposed system. The prototype achieves a $10^{-13}$ bit-error rate and 0.188-UI high frequency jitter tolerance while consuming 14 mW at 800 Mb/s.

  • The growing number of electronic components used in automobiles has given rise to problems concerning the increasing number, size and weight of the wiring harnesses. As an approach to resolve these problems, multiplexed wiring systems using automotive communication protocol such as Controller Area Network(CAN), Advanced PALMNET and J1850 have been developed by many automobile companies. In order to compare these protocols quantitatively, this paper presents the performance evaluation of CAN and Advanced PALMNET via discrete event simulation. Through numerous simulation experiments, several important quantitative performance factors such as the probability of a transmission failure, average system delay(data latency), and throughput have been evaluated.

하이브리드 다중 Hub-and-Spoke 차량 경로 계획 모형 : 현대모비스 자동차 보수용 부품 사내 운송 계획 최적화를 중심으로 (Hybrid Multiple Hub-and-Spoke Vehicle Routing Model for Hyundai Mobis Automotive Service Parts Transportation Planning)

  • Hub-and-spoke transportation network is a powerful and useful network structure that takes full advantage of economies of scale on routes between hubs. In recent studies, the network structure is extended to hybrid hub-andspoke that allows direct transportation between spokes. In this study, we considered more extended network structure which is called hybrid multiple hub-and-spoke that has multiple hubs and allows direct transportation between spokes. We developed a mathematical optimization model for automotive service parts transportation planning under hybrid multiple hub-and-spoke network structure. The model suggests a long-term transportation route planning and a short-term vehicle assignment planning. The model is verified by simulation and validated in real world application to Hyundai Mobis automotive service parts transportation planning. From the simulation result, the model reduced the transportation cost about 24.7%, the total distance about 6.8% and the CO2 emissions about 8.8%. In real world application for 6 months from July to December 2010, the model reduced the transportation cost about 9.1% by changing the long-term transportation route without daily vehicle assignment planning.

인공신경망과 비전 시스템을 이용한 자동차용 오일씰의 검사 (Inspection of Automotive Oil-Seals Using Artificial Neural Network and Vision System)

  • The Classification of defected oil-seals using a vision system with the artificial neural network is presented. The artificial neural network fur classification consists of 27 input nodes, 10 hidden nodes, and one output node. The selection of the number of the input nodes is based on an observation that the difference among the defected, non-defected, and smeared oil-seals is greatly pronounced in the 26 step gray-scale level thresholding. The number of the hidden nodes is chosen as a result of a trade-off between accuracy and computing time. The back-propagation algorithm is used for teaching the network. The proposed network is capable of successfully classifying the defected from the smeared oil-seals which tend to be classified as the defected ones using the binary thresholding. It is envisaged that the proposed method improves the reliability and productivity of the automotive vision inspection system.

  • 2-Axis Pan and Tilt Motion Platform, a complex multivariate non-linear system, may incur any disturbance, thus requiring system controller with robustness against various disturbances. In this study, we designed an adaptive backstepping compensated controller by estimating the disturbance and error using the Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBF NN). In this process, Uniformly Ultimately Bounded (UUB) was demonstrated via Lyapunov and stability was confirmed. By generating progressive disturbance to the irregular frequency and amplitude changes, it was verified for various environmental disturbances. In addition, by setting the RBF NN input vector to the minimum, the estimated disturbance compensation process was analyzed. Only two input vectors facilitated compensatory function of RBF NN via estimating the modeling and control error values as well as irregular disturbance; the application of the process resulted in improved backstepping controller performance that was confirmed through simulation.

  • 배관망 내에서 측정된 압력값이 정상 또는 기준 압력으로부터 벗어나는 정도는 배관망의 운전 상황을 평가하는데 매우 유용한 정보이다. 공급 및 수요 측에서 측정된 조건에 기초하여 배관망 내의 압력변화를 정확히 예측할 수 있다면, 비용면에서 효율적인 배관망 모니터링 및 누출감지가 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 배관에서의 압축성 유체의 일차원 유동방정식에 기초하여 배관망 해석 프로그램을 개발하였다. 직선 배관에서의 유동해석 결과를 이전 연구자의 결과와 비교하여 본 해석의 신뢰성을 검증하였다. 또한 단순한 형상의 도시가스 배관망에 대하여 압력과 유량 변화를 해석하여 본 프로그램의 활용가능성을 보였다.

OECD 부가가치 기준 교역자료를 이용한 자동차산업 글로벌 생산 네트워크의 특성 분석 (An Analysis on the Characteristics of Global Automotive Production Network using the OECD Trade in Value Added Data)

  • 본 논문은 세계 자동차산업을 대상으로 2015년판 OECD-TIVA 자료 분석을 통해 구축된 수출품의 해외조달 부가가치 네트워크 특성을 사회네트워크 기법을 활용하여 분석하였다. 그 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 1995-2011년 기간 동안에 생산공정 분업은 EU, NAFTA와 같은 역내 경제블록에 한정된 것이 아니라 세계적인 차원으로 심화되었다. 둘째, 수출품의 부가가치 해외조달 네트워크는 위계적이고 공간적으로 집중되고 평균거리가 짧아지는 좁은 세상 네트워크의 특성들을 보여주었다. 셋째, 자동차산업 글로벌 가치사슬에서 주요 공급자는 소수의 국가들에 불과하지만 중간재의 사용자는 다수의 국가들이다. 가장 핵심적인 해외 부가가치의 공급자들인 미국, 독일, 중국 간에 특징적인 차이가 존재한다. 생산공정 분업이 글로벌 수준에서 전개된 것은 사실이지만 그 이면에 중심과 주변, 국내와 외국자본의 이분법의 긴장이 놓여 있다.
